A Boss Approaches! |
[Battle Theme BGM] The owner of the pawn shop covered his ears and shouted out in annoyance. "Alright! I'll tell you!" the man said before the terrifying singing suddenly stopped. The man snapped his fingers as two of his men went to the back. Sweat poured down his face as he looked over the 'man and wife/mistress/girlfriend/lover/etc' and took a step to them. "I suppose there is no harm in telling you," the man said as the two henchmen he sent off earlier returned with a box. One of the men opened up the box and, as pictured, the jewels were sitting there, pristine in appearance. "Yes, I had these jewels, the best ones hands could steal," the man said with a large grin on his face. "My boys here are good at taking things without being noticed. So there was a rich fool that came around and I had them swipe his belongings. What's the use of rich people flaunting their riches when people like us crawl on our bellies like dogs!" the man shouted. The man obviously had issues with inequality among the castes. "Now that you saw these treasures," the man said as she waved his hand, having his henchment close the box and returned them to the back. They returned with one of the men carrying a large mace, which the shop owner held in one hand. The mace would normally be a two handed weapon for most, but due to the man's stature, it was perfect for one handed-wielding. He swung the mace and his clothes ripped off miraculously, showing his bulky, musculature. The only things left behind were shin-high leather boots, a red speedo-like pair of drawers, and manly chest hair. "I have to kill you," the man said with a hearty laugh before pointing his mace at the couple. "Get'em, boys!" The 15 henchmen started to run towards the couple only to get caught up on each other and fell to the floor. The boss, Smirnoff, blinked for a moment before stomping his feet, shaking the shop enough to get the 15 back on their feet. "Like badguys in movies! Attack in waves, you idiots!" All 15 men said in unison before filing into lines of three. The men charged forward towards the couple only to be blown back. This caused the man to look on in absolute amazement at the woman wearing the traditional clothing. "You -can- sing..." he said dumb-founded. He was silenced for a moment before turning to look towards the next three and ordered them to keep going. However, upon his commands to run after the couple, the remaining 12 simply ran towards the group. In files of 3, of course. "You'll pay for your insolence!" the man shouted as he hefted his heavy mace over his shoulders, looking at the 'couple'. He smashed his mace down upon one of the tables, turning it into splinters. "Guess I'll have to do this myself!"

Job Number 1: The Stolen Jewel |
Her 'singing' was cut short when the large bearded man grew tired of it, willing to cooperate to the pestering and demands made by the couple. It seems that if speaking calmly to them, using intimidation on them, or insulting the quality of items of the shop didn't work the last resort is always annoying the hell out of them until they complied. This is the first time she has ever used such a childish tactic, but she remembered this growing up, having been a spoiled brat. She never thought that she'd have to ever use that tactic again. As her song finished abruptly, if you could call that abomination a song, she walked back over to Axos and resumed her facade. "It seemed that worked, didn't it?" she asked Axos rhetorically and in a whisper before turning to look as the annoyed pawn shop boss have two of his men bring forth a box. The box contained many exquisite jewels. This was the box we were looking for. A bright smile came across Anastasia's face before nodding her head in confirmation of what she just saw. With the confirmation of the box, they also got the man's confession to stealing it. What she wouldn't do for a recording device right now. She didn't think the man's logic was wrong. The rich just get richer and richer while the poor stay that way. It was a corrupt system where the rich take from the poor to only line from their pockets. It's a crime that people continue to let occur, but no laws were actually broken. What the man did was no different from what the rich do other than the legality. But their lives were on the line. Anastasia didn't feel very threatened as she felt that Axos was strong enough to protect the both of them. "I'll get into position," she stated silently as she moved behind Axos, keeping her distance from him and the crazy mob of 2x4 and lead-pipe wielding men. She didn't seem too intimidated as these guys don't really pose much of a threat to her. The men stumbled and fumbled, looking like a group of untrained morons. Their leader, however, got them into a formation. With the first three lined up, she held out her hands and her hanbok began to flutter. Anastasia's Song Magic: Song of the Sky The men looked on at her in amazement before the charge. This gave her just enough time to finish this quick song with invisible pulses pushing the men down, knocking them unconscious with pure energy. None of the people here seem to specialize in sound magic, so none of them saw it coming. She took a deep breath and looked towards Axos with a smile. "Your turn!" she shouted to her partner as the boss began to be enraged as his men left him. It seemed this will be a close-quarters battle with the boss. Good, this gives Anastasia the advantage as Axos won't be able to leave her effective range.
