Riley's day started just like it always does. She got up, ruffling Theo's hair, she walked into the shower and rinsed herself. She quickly got dressed and off to the Sabertooth guild hall she headed. On her way, she heard some people talking about a restaurant in Hargeon Town that was undergoing some difficulties. She frowned wondering what the people were talking about. Riley got lost in deep thought thinking of this restaurant. Now she was curious but before she could do anything to inquire about it, Theo, who had been walking along side her, ran off. "Theo?" Riley yelped. She looked between the wolf and the men. "I'm gonna have to take care of this later." She darted off after Theo. Running behind the wolf, she was unable to catch him as he chased the butterfly. Riley halted mid way, tired of all this running. "Theo get back here." She yelled. The young arctic wolf turned around before returning to Riley and looking at her with his big grey eyes. Riley sighed "Guess I'm gonna have to come back for the restaurant business. huh?" The wolf simply lowered it's eyes as a sigh of guilt. Riley picked Theo up into her arms. "It's okay boy. You don't have to feel guilty." She walked toward the guild hall. After a few minutes of walking, she entered the big doors of the guild. Without a second's wait, Riley walked over to the request board. "We need to go on more jobs Theo." The wolf jumped off of her lap and stood beside her as she scanned the request board searching for a suitable jib. Her eyes landed on a flyer that hung there. She picked it up and begun reading. "Wait, a restaurant in Hargeon Town?" Riley couldn't help but wonder of this was the same restaurant she heard people talking about earlier. "Let's take this job." Theo happily wagged his ail on the thought of going on a job.

    ~x~

Riley walked through Hargeon Town with the flyer resting in her hands. "If i'm correct, the restaurant should be somewhere here." She looked around until she spotted what she had been searching for. Walking inside, Riley was met with the delightful aroma of various type of food. She gulped as she was beginning to get hungry. Riley shook her head and walked over to the counter. "Hello, mam. How may I help you?" The waiter politely asked. "Um. I'd like to meet the manager. I'm here for the job request he sent." The waiter's eyes slightly widened "Yes, yes. Follow me please." The man began to walk and Riley obliged, followed by Theo. They entered a office type room located at the back of the restaurant where a man way seated. He looked pretty stressed out. "Sir, this is the wizard who came here to assist us." The man quickly looked up. He rushed over to Riley and shook her hand. "Thank you so much. I really need your help. My name is Mr. Watson. I'm sure you read the flyer." Riley smiled at the man. "My name is Riley and yes, I'm quite aware of the situation." He looked slightly relieved. "Another mage will be accompanying you." Riley looked at Theo before smiling at that man. "I'll do my best." Riley wondered who this mage would be.

Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven] Empty Re: Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven]

Raven looked out of her window and sighed. It has been a week since she last saw Kuroe and it has been a week since she was given the title of Guild Master so unexpectedly. She wasn’t very sure if people were happy for her but she was ready to carry what was placed on her hands by Marick, one of the two members in Sabertooth she considered as her mentors. It was a shock for her that after a few days of her exam, by the time she was up and walking again, she was given the opportunity to succeed Marick. She wasn’t sure why he was stepping down and it didn’t make sense to her why the responsibility was placed on her. However, she promised Marick to do her best.

Sighing, Raven looked up at the sky through her window, hoping that Kuroe would return to her soon. She was missing her friend. She remembered that he got badly injured during her fight with Ikaros. She also remembered the fact that he was carried away by the ancient crow demon guardian. But a week had passed and she had no sign of him. She was getting worried. Sighing for the second time that day, Raven turned around and headed out the door.

She was supposed to be going on a mission despite being reluctant at first in taking it. But that restaurant owner in Hargeon looked quite desperate when he asked for her help. So she had accepted with a smile and a nod. Glancing down at herself, she noted her attire was a simple black dress with black leggings and black shoes. She kept it simple with only her magic item dangling on her neck and her ring armor for accessories. With a pat on her dress, Raven looked up and started her journey to Hargeon.

    --------

When she reached the restaurant, Raven caught the attention of one of the waiters. He came up to her with the usual question he has for the customers. She smiled at him before shaking her head. “I’m not here to eat. Thank you. I’m here to help with your situation. Where is your manager?” She asked, handing him the request she got from the restaurant owner. His mouth formed an “O” as he started nodding his head to tell her he understood. “This is good. We just had another mage come in to help us too,” he answered happily, beginning to walk in the direction Raven guessed is where the owner’s office located. Another mage, huh?

She entered the office in time to see Riley smiling at her pet, looking excited about the job. She smiled proudly knowing she was going to take this mission with Riley. She had noticed this ice dragon slayer often in her guild. She was cheerful and good to others which made her even more happier. “Good Morning, Riley,” she greeted, coming up from behind her. She nodded at the owner who stood up at her arrival and turned to Riley. “Nice to see you here. Will you be accompanying me on this job?”

Raven would have said more if it wasn’t for the scream that came from the restaurant. She heard the sound of something breaking and glasses being shattered. Screams of customers and the staff came next. She noticed the pale look on the owner’s face and concluded that they had visitors.

Post by Iesha 15th February 2015, 11:15 am

Riley turned around to see the source of the sound and was greeted with a very familiar face. Raven, Sabertooth's new guild master stood behind her. Riley was surprised at the fact that that Raven even knew who she was. Upon seeing her, Riley's mouth was left hanging. Of all the people, she did not expect Raven to be accompanying her of this job. She stood there dumbfounded, starring at her guild master until she felt a light tug on her leg. She looked down to see Theo standing there, staring at her. She then realized that she had been asked a question. "O-oh y-yeah. I'll be accompanying you. It's really nice to meet you." Riley smiled sheepishly while scratching the back of her neck.

But her smile soon disappeared, as she heard the screams and screeches. The noise of Shattering glass filled echoed through the silent office. She looked a Raven, who seemed to have the same idea, and the pale look on the managers face confirmed her suspicion. It was those thugs, who probably came here to collect their pay. Usually in these cases, Riley would rush out and probably lash out at them, telling them to stop, but not this time. She knew that her very own guild master is with her on this job, so she would have to control her actions and act more mature. This may even help her to get rid of her bad habit of rushing into things. Riley, followed by Theo, exited the office only to come face to face with those thugs. She looked around to see tables fallen on the floor, plates filled with food fallen and shattered, people sticking to their families for protection. Without thinking, Riley moved forward to help the customers who were looked terrified of those thugs. She didn't look at her Raven once. She knew that Raven is a mature woman, who probably knows how to handle a situation like this much better than herself. She looked at the men as one of them stepped forward and yelled. "Where's my money?" Riley looked around to see the staff standing there. Their faces had the expression of fear plastered on it. Riley couldn't help but wonder what those thugs had done to spread so much fear and terror.

Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven] Empty Re: Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven]

Post by Yvonne 18th February 2015, 8:46 am

Raven sighed, having noticed the way Riley was acting around her. Ever since she got the position, members in the guild have been giving her the same look. The only people she had some hope of treating her like the usual were Cirven, Aayla, Jaffa, Hikari and that one person in the guild known as the dark lord, Frederick. Everything was weird yet fun now that she recollect some of her memories after joining the guild. Whoever knew she would find Frederick of all people to be the mentor type?

She wanted to laugh at her own thought, but the screams and sound of breaking glass brought her back. She followed Riley out after her pet wolf after telling the owner to stay there. She brushed a few stray strands of her hair back as she stepped out. The sound of something breaking under one of her shoes brought her attention down to the small piece of glass that had been on her path.

This scene never changes, she thought while retreating the foot that was on the piece of glass. It was always the same. People didn’t give a damn about what they did to others. They continue to hurt each other to satisfy their own needs. Selfish, ignorant people.

Raven felt several eyes including those of Riley’s on her back as she slowly made her way towards the one who stepped up, evading the broken plates and glasses along the way. “Money, you say?” she asked, her tone emotionless as she stared up at the red eyes of the raging villain. “Hmm you are right. You deserve to get paid back,” she announced, ignoring the surprised look of many as she reached for class of orange juice that was sitting innocently on a table to her right.

In the span of a second, the glass was empty and the person in front of Raven was drenched, his white shirt stained with orange juice. And before the man could react, a strong gust of black wind had pushed them out of the shop. “Riley,” she started, without turning back to look at the girl. “Don’t hold back. Teach these goons what Sabertooth is,” she finished, her lips curving into an energetic smirk as she raised her hands. It pretty much meant she was giving the green signal to go crazy on the unfortunate idiots.

Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven] Empty Re: Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven]

Riley's mouth was left hanging open at the action of her guild master. All she wanted to do was cheer for Raven and whistle at her deed, but she knew this wasn't the right time. She stared in amazement at Raven, who had just emptied a glass of orange juice on her man. She couldn't help the smile forming of her lips. She looked down to look at Theo who seemed pretty excited. It had been a while since the young wolf had been this excited. Riley had a feeling that this job was becoming entertaining by the second. She shifted her gaze upon the costumers and the staff, including th manager, they were shocked yet kind of pleased. Riley looked at Raven, who had just told her something, "Aye, sir. You can count of me." Riley's tone went back to being playful. Maybe it'll be a little more difficult to get rid of her bad habit.

She looked at the bunch of thugs, before smirking. "So which one of you wants to go first?" One of them lunged at Riley without saying a word. Riley simply jumped and did a frontward flip, landing behind the man and touching his shoulder in the process. "Frost fingers" She muttered when her hand came in contact with the thug. Ice began forming on the mans shoulder as the string attaching his shoulder and Riley's finger began appearing. Riley twirled her finger, playing with the string made from ice as the other end of the string began freezing the man's shoulder. He gazed in horror before attempting to break the ice. He tried breaking it a few times but it simply began reforming. Within a matter of seconds, the ice had almost completely frozen his body. The man began freaking out even more as he yelled. Riley looked at the other thugs, who stared in astonishment and slight fear was evident in their expressions. The man had completely frozen by now, his ice sculpture stood there , gazing into mid air. Riley looked at the other goons. "This is the power of Sabertooth." She said as she looked them in the eye with a serious tone.

Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven] Empty Re: Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven]

Post by Yvonne 19th February 2015, 9:03 am

Raven smiled gently, watching Riley’s powerful display of her ice dragon slayer magic that had created an ice sculpture out of a man. That move was packed  with power, beauty and grace that clearly made Sabertooth stand out. She truly deserved to be the Ice Dragon Slayer, Raven mentally nodded at the black haired girl. Honest, energetic and good, she had no doubt that Riley was a true Sabertooth member. Raven hoped to fill up her guild with people like her in the future. Members that can stand together to passionately protect each other and their beliefs. She wanted Sabertooth to soar, not in numbers and ranks, but in the true power of selflessness, faith and conviction. Holding the teachings of her previous guild master close to her heart, Raven now truly understood what he was telling her on the day of her exam.

Extremely happy with the act, she walked up to Riley and placed a hand on her shoulder before giving it a light squeeze. “The power of Sabertooth is flawless,” she announced and a black fan formed on her free hand. With a powerful swing, she had created a black gust of wind and feathers, sending the enemies back a few meters till they turned around and ran away, not once looking back. Behind them, unnoticed, would fly a small crow that would give Raven information on where they have ran to with their mental link.

“If I’m not wrong, they left to get the rest of their group. They will be back soon and when they will return, we will be ready for them,” she giggled, plans formulating in her pretty little head as she skipped back to the restaurant like a five year old child. Slipping past all of the astonished workers, she went straight to the kitchen, fully aware of the people following her with curiosity. The screeching sound of doors sliding filled the room as she pulled open the door to the restaurant's pantry. “We will be ready for them with eggs and tomatoes. Why not have some fun?” She asked, taking a few eggs in her own hands.

Riley felt a light squeeze on her shoulder. She looked up to see Raven standing there with her hand placed on the dragon slayer's shoulder. Riley smiled as her new guild master showcased her power. “If I’m not wrong, they left to get the rest of their group. They will be back soon and when they will return, we will be ready for them,” Riley nodded upon listening to Raven. She chuckled as Raven skipped deeper into the pantry. Riley followed with Theo.

Riley couldn't help but think that Raven would make a great friend to her. Till now, Riley never felt as if there was someone one in authority with her. She felt as if she was with a friend on a trip to the restaurant, minus the goons of course. Excitement engulfed her as she entered the pantry and was hit with the delightful aroma of one of her most loved facilities of life, Food. She walked over to the fridge and stared inside, drool escaping her mouth without her permission.

She gazed at the food as Raven picked up some eggs. Suddenly she heard a light cough behind her. She turned around to see the manager standing there. She quickly shut the fridge and internally face palmed. She expected the manager to be weirded out but he wasn't the slightest bit fazed, instead he smiled at the two girls. Riley looked at Theo, who seemed to still be staring at the food before looking at Raven. The manager spoke up. "Follow me."

Riley looked at Raven before shrugging. She followed the manager out of the pantry, and saw the dinning area, which had been messed up, being cleaned by the workers. The restaurant was empty. "We shut down the restaurant for a while." He gestured at a table of two. "Please, sit." Riley obliged and sat down on one side of the table. She watched as two plates were brought over to them by a staff member. The plate was full of drool worthy delicacies. Another small tray was brought and placed in front of the young arctic wold who sat by the slayer's feet. The black haired girl started stuffing her face with food, but she showcased some table manners. She never realized how hungry she truly was until she took the first bite.

Raven sighed, putting her hands on her hips as she saw Riley going off to get something to eat. As good as that thought was for the silver haired guild master, she had other plans with those food. She left the eggs and tomatoes she had picked up in the counter and marched out to see Riley just starting to take a bite out of the food the manager decided to gift her with. Shaking her head, the eighteen year old girl marched towards Riley, grabbed one of her arms and puled her up before pulling her to the pantry again as everyone else stood there gaping at the two of them.

“We are not going to eat now, Riley. Say goodbye to the food,” Raven started, searching through the pantry again. “We are gonna give those thugs a delicious welcome when they come back,” she informed with a smile on her face. And just as she did, she found the manager and the rest of them join her. “I-Is there a-any we can help?” she heard a timid voice from one of the waitresses and nodded excitedly at her. “I need you guys to arrange the tables in the restaurant as if we are going to war!” she declared, raising a fist as a form of good luck. The waitress must have got her drift because she ran out the door just as she said that and started arranging the tables in a way that it can hide people and protect them if necessary. Everyone else followed her while Raven started handing Riley the eggs and tomatoes she picked up.

“Come on! Let’s go give these to everyone. When those goons open the door to this restaurant…” she trailed off, giggling to herself. And then, she was dragging Riley off again, taking her behind one of the tables that was laid out after giving everyone a few of the food items they were going to make weapons out of. And then...it happened. The bell attached to the door rang as their enemies showed up.

Riley felt a hand grab her and drag her. She pouted as she was dragged into the pantry by her guild master. As Raven was searching through the pantry, the dragon slayer couldn't help but smirk at the thought of having a food fight.

She looked at Theo, who was simply running around the pantry in excitement. Riley followed her guild master as she was being handed eggs and tomatoes. The black haired girl skipped out of the pantry as she faced the restaurant where the table had been arranged as shields for then to hind behind. Riley walked over behind one of the tables and flopped down as she waited for the enemy's arrival.

Then it happened, she heard heavy footsteps. She quickly distributed the eggs and tomatoes amongst the staff. They looked quite apprehensive at first. she could see the frightened expressions on their face. "We're doing this for you restaurant. You're going to sand up for it someday." She looked as small smiles formed on their faces. "And plus, it'll be fun." She winked before turning around and giving a few eggs to Raven.

Suddenly, the door opened with quite a lot of force. Entering through the door were four large men fit to be bodyguards. Riley already did not want to go anywhere near them, not because she was afraid, but because her petite body, compared to theirs, would make her look like an ant standing in front of an elephant. She stared at them. Each one of them was wearing black clothes. Their body was very well built and their muscles were prominent through that skin tight shirts.

One of them was about to open their mouth, but before he could proceed with what he had to say, Riley stood up and launched an egg at his face, and her aim was quite accurate. "ATTACK" She screamed as the broken egg slowly slid down the man's face. When she saw his face, she made a disgusted face at how ugly the man looked with the egg whites splattered across his face. Moreover, the angry expression plastered on his face did not make it look any better.

"Nice" Raven commented on Riley's aim. Without skipping a beat, Raven was beside her, pelting the bodyguards with tomatoes and eggs. Everyone else followed. Some looked like they were having fun while some had odd looks on their faces as they went through with the plan and some were just plain scared. Raven, however, was having the most fun, throwing things after things at them. Having had enough of it, the men too started picking up whatever Raven and everyone else threw at them and started sending them back, pretty much starting a real food fight. She wasn't even sure how long it went on till she ran out of things to throw at them.

In the moment of excitement, Raven jumped over the table they were behind and darted towards the men in black suits. Spinning on her heels, she landed her right foot on their leader's face. She knocked him back a few feet and landed perfectly on the ground. One of them came up from her back and managed to grab her hands. However, Raven threw her head back, hitting his jaw with the back of her head before spinning around to land a punch on his stomach. The man's mouth was left wide open and blood was starting to come out. "Ahh...I didn't mean to hit that hard," Raven stated, shaking the hand she used to punch him with as if her hand was hurt too.

Others backed away from her, forming a circle with Raven in the middle. They circled her, watching her every move just as Raven was waiting for one of them to move. Finally, they did, charging towards her at once. She effortlessly avoided it by jumping up, high enough to go out of their reach. Consequently, it caused all of them to crash into each other and fall back down.

"This is quite boring," Raven commented, her eyes quickly turning expressionless. "Riley, escort these gentlemen out for me, will you?" She called out for Riley, throwing her hands behind her head. Just as she was about to turn and walk back, the sound of something breaking came from the outside, calling for Raven's attention quickly back again.

Riley was laughing and enjoying herself, not something a wizard would do on a job, but she didn't care. Everyone was getting what they wanted. The manager, the staff, everyone was taking revenge for all the pain they had been put through. The clients, in Riley's opinion, were very nice people and they did not deserve to go through all those hardships.

She felt really good seeing them enjoy themselves in this childish act. Of course, some of them were afraid, but the guild mages wouldn't be able to help them if they can't help themselves, so Riley thought that it would be best to leave them alone.

She turned her attention towards the young arctic wolf who was hiding behind the table although he had absolutely no expression of fear of his furry face. The young mage smiled. Her attention was then derived and focused on Raven as the guild master rose from behind the tables and launched into action.

Riley watched, mesmerized as her guild master gave the goon a nice hard kick. Riley couldn't hold back anymore, as she saw Raven deal with all the goons that surrounded her, the black haired girl's fingers, unwillingly curled around her tongue as she whistled in excitement.

"This is quite boring," Raven commented, her eyes quickly turning expressionless. "Riley, escort these gentlemen out for me, will you?" Riley got up and saluted. "Aye, sir." The ice dragon slayer pulled in a long breath before shouting out. "Ice Dragon Roar." A gush of light blue wind escaped her mouth in the form of a tornado. As the wind ran over the not-so-delightful men, their bodies froze. Riley made sure not to attack their faces because, although they were her enemies, she had no intention to kill.

Seconds later, absurd sounds began. It sounded like something was being broken. Before anyone could react, the door was broke down and above the broken door stood more men, and they did not look like good news. A few of them were just average thugs, the problem were the bulky bodyguards that stood behind those excuse of men.

Riley was beginning to sense the intensity of the situation. They wanted a real fight. Enough fooling around for one day. Their luck went down the drain as another man appeared. He seemed different. Riley could sense magical energy radiating from him. He looked like he was up to no good, but of course the dragon slayer wasn't afraid. She had her guild master by her side and she herself never underestimated her own power.

Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven] Empty Re: Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven]

Post by Yvonne 6th March 2015, 5:56 am

Raven was proud. She was proud that she got the chance of running a guild with amazing members like Riley. Every single one of Sabertooth were family. They fought together, ate together and had fun together. It made her happy to know that if things would ever fall out of proportion, everyone would stand together and display their selflessness, faith and conviction to the guild. Even if it meant that one day, she could become their possible enemy, threatening to destroy everything. Fred had given her the word for it after all. The thoughts ran through her head like an express train, fast, unclear yet evoking a sense of protection and fear in her. If it wasn't for the glass breaking and sounds that came afterwards, Raven probably would have stayed there, lost in thoughts for a long time.

Things were getting quite serious. She saw ordinary thugs and bodyguards. But among them, she also sensed the presence of magic. Someone with magic was in the group, her eyes flashed with excitement as her eyes scanned the group for him. It finally rested on a man, almost unavoidable with his big figure and domineering persona. He had black hair that was all over the place. He had very distinct muscles, looked almost like a wrestler and she even found traces of tattoos covering the length of his arms. There was no visible guild insignia which meant that he probably didn't have a guild that he is a part of. that just made things easier for Raven. No one is gonna have any problems if she roughen him up a bit. Now she wondered what his magic is. What kind of magic could someone that big use?

Her questions got it answer way sooner than she expected. He shot out two chains at her, both covered in a red glow. They traveled in what Raven could say, a speed of 5m/s and was about five centimeters away from her when she decided to doge it by flying away from where she was standing. A cloud of dust covered the area the chains had hit, creating a not so big yet not so small hole at the spot she was standing in. "Chain magic," she muttered, unimpressed.

Riley was taken by surprise as the magic user targeted Raven, but luckily she dodged. The man happened to be a chain magic user. Looking at Ravens expression, the black haired girl could make out that her guild master wasn't impressed at all by his showcase of magic. This boosted up Riley's confidence. Now, she knew that she wouldn't have to worry about her guild master. She was proud to have Raven as her new guild master. Raven is strong, beautiful, confident, a worthy leader, but above all, she's a great friend. The young dragon slayer knew that with a guild master such as raven, Sabertooth will climb immeasurable heights. They will be unstoppable.

Riley knew that she couldn't just stand there while her guild master fought. The least she could do was handle the other small fries. She looked at Theo, who was still hiding behind the table and knew that it would be safe there. She then shifted her gaze and came face to face with the thugs and the bulky bodyguards who escorted the mercenary mage to this restaurant. "Today is your unlucky day." As Riley said those words, the men launched themselves at her, "Ice Dragon Wing attack"

Light blue aura surrounded the ice dragon slayer's hands as she lashed them mid air and sent ice shards flying towards the goons. Just like before, she had no intention to kill so she had carefully aimed them and used as little force as possible. She mainly aimed towards the hands and legs. The shards hit some of their legs, as they began groaning in pain. The ice shards had slightly pierced through their skin. It wasn't enough to stop them for good, but it would slow them down and the pain was also immense considering the fact that the shards are made of ice.

She still had not been able to take out every single one of them, some were still standing and were ready to attack. Riley watched as the men took out daggers that were hidden in their clothing.. They began running forward towards her and attacking in groups. They lashed at her as Riley swiftly dodged all except one which managed to make a small cut on her right cheek. She could feel the blood dripping down her face.

Post by Yvonne 13th March 2015, 7:28 am

Raven, still floating in the air with her wings out, kept her eyes trained on the mercenary mage. "Riley, take care of the others. I'll deal with this big headed gorilla," her voice was calm as she said this, causing veins to pop out of the so called "gorilla". He grunted and released a cry which further reminded Raven of the overgrown monkey. She could already feel the bubbles of laughter erupting from her chest but bit it back down. Surely, she was supposed to fight this guy instead of make jokes out of him, right? Yes, as soon as she could get her head out of the unimportant thoughts.

Her wings burst into feathers and disappeared when Raven landed on the ground behind the chain magic user. While she noticed that the others had already started targeting Riley, Raven had moved close to her own opponent. His eyes narrowed at her and if she had looked closer, she could see the redness of his anger spread across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose. Apparently, he had the temper of a monkey too. Not that Raven was complaining. She had undergone the same treatment from mages far stronger than him, after all.

She connected her palms together behind her, tilting her head innocently at the man with a small smile that seemed to embarrass and anger the mage more than he was before, if that was possible. With a wink, the type that meant to look like she was having fun, Raven raised her right leg up and kicked him straight on his stomach. Under her foot, she could feel the guy's hard muscles that reminded her of the strong metal used in making chains. She was sure that if it was someone lower in rank than her that had done it, they would have done no damage to him at all. However, thanks to his bad luck, Raven was superior in strength and she had managed to knock him back a few meters. Her palms where still connected behind her when she took slow steps towards him. She was going to end this soon.

Riley didn't have time to play around with these clowns. She shifted her purple eyes to Raven who seemed to be handling her opponent quite well. The black haired girl's hand reached up to her cheek and wiped the blood off. The wound stung her but she ignored the pain. These jokers were going to pay for this. The young dragon slayer already had a plan forming inside her head. A smirk made it's way onto her lips. She launched towards her opponents who stood in a battle stance, seemingly prepared for any attack Riley throws at them. "Why not test them out?" The young girl thought.

The black haired girl stood in front of a tall, buff bodyguard who stood in a defensive stance. Riley had a smirk playing on her lips as she ran towards him, leaned back and slid through his legs before quickly getting up and slamming her right leg into he left lower abdomen. The buff men fell down in pain. The ice dragon slayer might have a petite body, but her combat skills are quite excellent. She turned to look at the other who decided to form groups and attack the young girl simultaneously. She smiled at that. The came from both sides and launched at her with their weapons. This was an advantage for Riley, as it would be better if they were all gathered in one place. Riley swiftly jumped upwards, did a back flip and landed behind one of the groups. Since Raven had used this tactic before, they stopped before they bumped into each other.

The young dragon slayer did want them to bump into each other, just for her muse, but what she needed right now was all of them in the same area. "Play time's over, boys. Encasing ice-prison." She said as five large ice pillars rose around the small crowd of thugs. The five pillars extended till the roof of the building as they swiftly encircled them. As Riley's command, the five pillars that had a gap separating each one of them, came together and closed, trapping the thugs inside. Those clowns would freeze in there after some time. Now, the only thing the young female could do was wait for her guild master to get rid of that trash.

She didn't want to drag the fight longer anymore. She had had her fun and the least she could do was get serious and focus on her fight. She did wish the opponent could be a bit more of a challenge but who was she to be picky with what she was given? The chance of getting a satisfying dinner was very high at the end of this job anyway. If she could just bite her complaints back down and be as dedicated as Riley in completing the job than playing around with her opponents, Riley and herself would have been on the next train back to their guild already. She just had to do it then.

Raven sighed and closed her eyes, ignoring the look of anticipation her opponent was giving her. He was clearly wondering about what she would throw at him next and the raise in his bushy eyebrows indicated just that. She wasn't going to disappoint him. If he wanted a fight, she would give him one.

"Are you going to be at least a little serious?" she heard the rough voice, so very close to her yet far enough to be out of her arms' reach. He was silent, one arm holding his stomach, rubbing the spot she kicked him with his index finger, looking way too calm for someone who had just got beaten. This proved that her initial judgement of his character was awfully wrong. She had believed this person to be, judging by appearance, someone capable of blowing his top way too quickly. She guessed that he was the type that would easily fall victim to the red monster called anger but she was wrong and she admitted it. She had half expected the guy to charge at her after the shock but he had just stayed still, as if he was accessing her abilities. Now she understood why his gaze irritated her at the very beginning. His eyes weren't that of an ignorant monkey's, but it was that of an experienced fighters which again raised questions in her head. Was chain magic his real power?

Post by Iesha 23rd March 2015, 5:07 am

Riley had dealt with her opponents and was now waiting for Raven to finish up but the black haired female mage did not know that her misery was not over yet. Before she could move forward to help her guild master, the broken door creaked. Riley's purple eyes looked there and saw five huge, bulky men standing there. They were all covered in black, like a few others she had previously dealt with. All of them were wearing sunglasses and stood with their arms crossed. The young girl looked at her comrade's opponent who had a smile on his face. "These must be his bodyguards." The girl figured. "Don't these people know when to give up?"

The black haired female was now pissed. How many of them were there? But that's not what mattered, what mattered was that they were getting annoying and they had to be taught a lesson. Riley looked at them, "Frozen doll" Light blue aura surrounded her and ice started forming into a sculpture beside her. The ice turned into a silhouette of the black haired girl before turning into her clone. now, there were not one, but two Rileys they had to deal with. The body guards seemed surprised at her trick, "Liked it? You'll like this more." Both the females said in union as the clone jumped, did a front flip and landed behind the men. Both of them inhaled deeply, "Ice dragon Roar." Light blue air shot from both their mouths and attacked the men from both sides. As the air air touched them, they froze. The black haired females could see their ice sculptures slightly glowing under the light. Sadly, two of them managed to escape. The original mage snapped her head towards them. They seemed to have rolled out before they attacked, rather, they looked like they were good at combat, considering their posture. The original Riley looked at her ice-made clone as they shared an unspoken thought and grins broke onto both their faces. They turned their attention to their opponents and launched towards them. As they neared, each of them did a three-sixty degrees turn and swung their right leg at the two men, in perfect sync. Both men went flying back and fell. But this wouldn't be enough to take them down.

Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven] Empty Re: Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven]

Post by Yvonne 24th March 2015, 9:19 am

Raven sighed and willed herself to loosen up, dropping her stance back to something normal. With eyes that gave nothing away, she had started moving to the side just as her opponent started moving to the opposite side. This formed an imaginary circle as both Raven and her opponent tensed in anticipation of who will make the first move. She had initially expected him to charge at her with all that he has got. But, it turned out, that he was taking his own sweet time in attacking the violet haired girl. Finally, breaking the usual, Raven charged, leaning forward to gain better speed, her eyes flickering from violet to red and repeating. There was very little distance between the two mages and she crossed it within a second, pulling her right hand back to initiate a punch to the left side of her opponent's torso. But about five centimeter from her target, she was thrown away when the man slammed his fist to her stomach, drawing a muffled cry from her mouth as she staggered away from him.

Physical fights never really were her forte, she realized with a grunt when she felt the small sting on her stomach right around where he had managed to hit her. She decided to take a better approach, trying to concentrate whatever magic power she needed to her open palms, repeating a familiar mantra in her head. But just when she was about to complete the initial preparation for the spell, she found that he had sent a few long red chains towards her, each of them glowing hot red as it raced towards her. She whirled around and barely managed to avoid them, stumbling and falling down in the process. When she had looked up, she found that the chains that he used had wound around a streetlight post, melting the metal and causing the post to actually bend down and finally break. It took her a moment to realize that the chains the man sent at her had in fact contained properties of fire.

Shocked, Raven sat where she had fallen to, her eyes fixed on the part of the post that had completely melted down. She had to admit. Raven wasn't expecting him to put up such an amazing display of his powers. In fact, she had written the man off as someone Raven would not have to bother with much at all until he indicated that he was actually testing her. And at that moment, Raven stood up, slowly but gracefully. No matter how shocked she was, the rational part of her inner self did tell her that he was still not as strong as her and that if she got serious, the battle would end. However, she wasn't ready to waste her energy to that extent with her opponent and he will find that out soon enough.

Riley's gaze snapped towards Rave as she got kicked. This gave an opening to her opponents as they launched towards the the black haired female and her clone. The sudden pain she felt in her torso made it clear that she was hit. Her eyes slightly widened as the pain flowed through her body but she maintained her ground. Without delaying, her clone jumped up, did a full three sixty degrees turn and kicked the two men in the face.

Riley straightened her posture and looked at her opponents. "That wasn't very nice of you." Both, the female and her clone, stood in the same stance as her clone turned back to ice and disintegrated into the air. Now, the two men only had one mage to deal with. They launched towards her together, in order to over power her, but sadly they fell right into her trap.

As they were about to make contact with her in order to hit her, the young slayer touched each of their hand before jumping and doing a front flip. The strings attached to each of their hands was followed to both her hands as she held them firmly. She had her back facing them, but by the noises she could hear, she knew that the ice was slowly spreading on their body and freezing them.

As she turned around, she saw the ice covering their faces as both seemed to be having a rather odd expression on their face. Then again, many people would have that if they were about to freeze. She kicked the ice really hard, making it shatter along with them. A grin made it's way onto the female's face as she acquired victory but it soon vanished as she looked around the restaurant and saw quite a few ice sculptures and ice covered the entire restaurant. Whoops, guess she went slightly overboard.

Her gaze shifted to Theo, who ran towards her and happily tackled his master, or at least attempted to. The young dragon slayer caught him and smiled at his enthusiasm. But this battle wasn't over. Her gaze shifted to her guild master who was still in the mid set of a fight and her opponent seemed quite tough. She had the urge to go and help Raven, but she stayed in her place. She trusted that Raven could do this on her own. She then remembered the wound she had gotten. Her hand lifted up to her cheek which was cut previously. the blood seemed to have dried out but the wound stung as it made contact with her skin.

Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven] Empty Re: Scare away those thugs! [Job l Riley and Raven]

Hidden behind her violet curls, in the elegant frame of a sabertooth tiger, her insignia felt like it was starting to burn the delicate skin of her neck. Ah. She understood. Her pride was starting to awaken. She admitted that her opponent had some guts to stand up to her despite being aware that her level was far higher than himself. In addition to that, while she played around and made fun of him, the man had kept his stone like face, waiting patiently for his turn to show her he should not be made lightly. "You succeeded" she told him, smiling that knowing smile she always had.

She found the chain magic user visibly relaxing in front of her. Probably feeling that the end was already near too. After all, regardless of the way he looks with his hard chin and wide face, he had a very active brain inside his head. He had, from her appearance, figured who he was fighting before they started. He had read the news and even heard it from the locals. Sabertooth had a change in leadership. A certain violet haired girl with brilliant eyes had taken over. The news had traveled far.

"I'm glad you are taking this seriously. Ah now I feel scared," his eyes looked nonchalant but Raven could see the beads of sweat rolling down his arms, his veins tightening, obviously tensing under the weight of the situation.

"I won't forget you. What is your name?" She asked, raising her hand up, index finger pointing at the sky as her eyes fluttered close. Next second, the sky was glowing several meters above them. An invisible pen had started drawing a strange picture in the sky with shining white ink. It was difficult to distinguish against the cloud splattered sky. But it took the shape of a magic circle, quite beautiful and refined in style.

    "Gregory Wild"

"I shall remember. My apologies for not being serious from the beginning," the magic circle was complete and her expression turned to something so serious and determined that the restaurant owner and staff took a step back without realizing it, expecting something great to fall from the sky.

Raven wasn't the only one who changed though. Gregory had became equally determined and the next moment, he had put his right leg forward, pushing hard into the ground before throwing himself at Raven, a red colored chain forming on his right hand. Keeping her calm, Raven allowed herself to fall back, missing the initial swing of the chain. Taking the small opening left when he prepared for the next swing, Raven brought her right hand up again and placed them between herself and Gregory. She found his eyes widen when he realized what she was going to do. The small black ball of dark energy had placed itself where her hand was under a second, growing rapidly before finally bursting in between them, engulfing the two figures in black light.

Raven was thrown backwards into a tree, her back hitting one of its branches before her tired body slipped down to the ground below. Except for a headache and few scratches, Raven was completely unaffected by her own attack. Gregory, however, was thrown into the restaurant. It seems that a little bit of her spell had managed to hit the restaurant too because the restaurant's porch was slightly destroyed, the building itself standing sturdy thanks to some luck. She didn't have to go in and check to know the fight was over.
