Patron of the remnant (Kyll and Akryn, sort of)

A tall, handsome man slowly walked through the shrubbery on crescent island, tracing the steps of the young woman he was following. He was tall, severely so, and he was thin. Almost unhealthily thin, with long, but very bushy, and curly, black hair, and a strong, if somewhat long, chin. And he was very well dressed as well. While most people on the island would usually be running around in swim suits, or some sort of leisure outfit, this man was dressed up, in shined, black and white shoes, white slacks and vest, and a dark blue dress shirt, that still showed the marks of ironing. But the most noticeable thing about the man, by far, was the sudden temperature drop as he approached. Every where he went, for a twenty foot radius, the temperature dropped at least ten degrees. It would likely be what gave him away as he neared his target, Kyll Vie, of Eclipse Soul.

Kyll was in a bed of flowers picking all of the tropical flowers she could and wrapping them in a cord. She smiled happily as she put a flower to her nose. The scent was perfect. "I know Katherine is going to love this scent for her teas. This will make it easier for her to stay away from the puzzle box I have in the guild hall." She stopped and looked at the ground. [color=yellow]"Oh... A rare poppy... This will do nicely for my collection of opiates and painkillers. That way I can be more prepared when my fellow guild mates come back to the guild injured or even severely injured.

For a moment, she stopped. "I have no interest in fighting. You do have any reason to fight me, I can feel your aura. It screams I want to battle." She continued to gather her plants and herbs and tie them together. Beside her, was the wooden backpack she had always carried around. She opened a drawer on the side taking out a pair of scissors. "I do not like to fight. It draws far too much attention." Kyll said snipping slants into a stem. "If you are here to help, then maybe you should turn that chill off."

The man smiled a bit as he approached, calmly walking over and standing over Kyll, looking down at her working. "I do wish to fight, yes. But not you, Kyll Vie of eclipsed soul. If anything, I wish to thank you. Allow me to properly introduce myself." he said as he reached down a his left hand, offering it to you. A small, ice blue, scorpion tattoo on the palm of his hand. "I am Aokiji. Aokiji Motomiji. Akryns eldest brother, and the somewhat secret patron of the Motomiji clan. I am here to extend my thanks to you, and your guild, for taking my little brother in and treating him as you have. And to extend to you a request."

Kyll looked at the man. The closed eyes mage moved her look up to his tattoo. She remembered when Akryn came in beat up and harmed. This was a legal guild that had gone dark. Akryn had a broken leg and she was not there to protect him. She did heal him right then and there. She continued to work ignoring the shaking of hands. She did not trust shaking hands with someone who had such a chilling aura. "Do not be offended because I did not take your offer. You showing your civility walking towards me was enough. I do not like talking to barbarians that use their fist all the time." She took the wrapped herbs and placed them in her bag. From Aokiji's point of view a grin did run across her face. Like she was joking. "Only those that really wish to talk to me with their fists have to get me drunk first. I'm working with my herbs, so that's not going to happen." Kyll placed a bushel of herbs into the pack. "However, what is your request." Kyll grabbed another bushel and looked it up and down for black parts. "And please do not try to catch me off guard, just me trusting you around this plant right here should be handshake enough for you, Aokiji." Kyll continued to clip the plant. "It's poisonous when it gets too close to any cuts, but its scent will wake anyone up."

Aokiji smiled a bit as he withdrew his hand and stuffed it into his pocket. "Do not judge me by my mark. I wear it from the days when it meant justice and family, not fear and destruction. And no, I do not enjoy talking with my fists. I prefer peace. My brothers will live happier in peace, but first I must secure it for them. And sadly, that will require violence, for it is all some people understand. But I did not come here to discuss that. I came to discuss my little brother." he said, dropping down to sit on the heels of his feet. "Tell me Kyll, what do you know of my brothers past?"

Kyll only kept her grin as she placed the flowers and herbs into her pack. She looked at Aokiji in his entirety. As she moved to her feet, the metal on her pauldron clanged together. "I know enough about Akryn to know that he a part of our guild." Kyll said looking at him. "Just as it should be in our guild... Take everyone in. No questions asked. Though my mentor should know more about your guild than I should." Kyll looked at this man. There was no way she was going to reveal anything that she knew about Akryn to a man she just met. Even though she only knew half of the story. "If you're so intent on asking about Akryn, why don't you ask him yourself?" Kyll put a thumb on her chin. "Unless coming to me, the current acting guild master means that he doesn't trust you... but... He trusts me." Kyll forced a small laugh out. "And if that's the case, why would I want to hear about his past? Why not live life in a more unpredictable manner?"

Kyll paused. "You know the whole, we go our way, run into your guys who want to take Akryn's life..." Kyll stopped again. "Wait a second..." She folded her arms. As she moved the leather squeezed and squeaked on her body. "There's a reason why your guild is trying to murder our fellow mage of storms." Kyll's jaw clenched. "Alright... Out with it. What are you letting on?"

As Kyll spoke, Aokiji's face, and aura, would darken immensely. "Firstly, never, NEVER, lump me together with the monstrousity that guild is now. I am a member of Scorpion Tail as it was. Not as it is. Never have I followed Mirasol or worked with his dogs. I am their enemy, every bit as much as Akryn, Kaido, Chosokabe, and Kamris are. Never accuse me of siding with those savages. If I could find them, I would wipe them from the face of Fiore, many times over." he said, his fists clenching and eyes narrowing. For a second the entire area seemed to darken and chill immensely, before he calmed again, taking a step back.

"My apologies Miss Vie. Bit of a touchy subject." he said taking a breath. "And I am fully aware of Scorpion tail attempts on my brothers life. Our father, Marcus, was a hard supporter of the former guildmaster, Toblerone, and firmly supported his beliefs. Mirasol, the guilds current puppet master, viewed him as a significant threat, and he believes his sons will follow him in opposing him.Correctly so, it appears so far. As for approaching Akryn......Miss Vie, for twenty years I have silently watched my brothers, protected them when needed, provided for them as able. I have no doubts that if I were to reveal myself to Akryn, he would be thrilled, a dream come true for him. But I miss Kyll, am the one who can not do it. For twenty years I have avoided my brothers because I can not face them. And I can not face him now. Ask me what you wish, I will not lie. But I would die for my brothers without a second thought if need be. I am no threat to Akryn."

Kyll grinned again. "Looks like there still is some human in there after all," she sighed and reached into her checkered bag and pulled out a cigarette. "Don't tell anyone in Eclipse Soul I do this..." She hissed to Aokiji. "What is there to know? He's my team mate, he's been there for me, he's a great friend, he understands my situation more than ever. He's extremely trust worthy." Kyll put a cigarette to her lips then lit the smoke with her heavenly body aura. She took a drag of the smoke and then exhaled the carbon from her lungs. "Alright, what I am trying to ask you... What is it that you want me to know? Akryn obviously has no clear memories of Scorpion Tail... So I would have no clue as to why they would go after someone who has no real connections to the guild to begin with."

"They are after him for little more than his name I fear. Mirasol fears the name Motomiji. He feared our father. He fears me. And he fears my brothers. Rightly so to. I witnessed Akryns fight with the representative from scorpion tail. Even at his current level, he held his own, for a time, against a true ace of the dark guild. And I am fully aware that part of his current strength is due to you. But I am getting off topic. There is a reason Akryn does not remember the events that happened that day, because of a deal I made. But I also know about your trip to the arcane realm. I know what he saw there. It is only a matter of time before he does remember. But that is not why I am here." he said, smiling as he pulled out his own pack of cigarettes.

"Scorpion tail is on the move. One of their aces attacked Shuhei of Blue Pegasus. Another was spotted in Bellum's capital, though for what I can not guess at. They have been recriting lately as well, much more openly than they have in the past twenty years. Scorpion Tail, and Mirasol, are preparing for something. Something big. I however can not move to counter them, as I must deal with a slowly growing situation in pregrande. Akryn however, will take notice very soon. I hope others do as well, but he will want to take action. I fear on his own."
