To Earthland and Beyond! [Job/Remnant]

While it was true Genesis did like the company of large crowds and physical contact, this all seemed to be stretching it by a mile. She had heard that they were giving out passports to other countries to those that went to this event to get themselves signed up. Nostalgic for the days that she would spend traveling with Alburn all around Fiore, she had convinced him to take her here so they would both be able to get their passports done. While Genesis was told and had expected there to be a crowd here, she hadn’t expected it all to be this long… or crowded. It was almost to the point she felt claustrophobic being squished between countless other people trying to make their way through to get a passport.

She did all she could to cling to her brother’s arm, trying not to get swept away in the wave of people from him. It was a difficult task, considering how many people there were, but after the first wave of people had passed she was able to see how long the line truly was for the first time, much to her horror. "How are we going to get there? It's such a long line." She said, her face pouting. They could be here for hours and maybe days even!

Despite tagging along with his sister, Alburn had a bad feeling about going to get these passports. It's not like the two of them really needed them before with how sneakily they traveled about, but it was probably better to be safe than sorry. Plus no matter how much he didn't want to, Al could just not say no to his sister Genesis.

"L-long? Psh, please. We'll be...we'll be in and out before you know it." Alburn stuttered, looking down at Genesis while he gave a nervous grin and somewhat hesitant thumbs up with his free hand.

Alburn was feeling nervous, but it wasn't because of how long this line was, but it was due to being so close to this many people. Due to trauma from his childhood, Alburn actually has claustrophobia which was making him a bit restless. A bit of sweat started to run down his face while the many voices around him started to fade as the mental image of being closed up in a tight space took over. He almost instinctively pulled his sister close to him as if to calm his own nerves and took a deep breathe.

"Yeah...nothin to worry about..." he said under his breathe as he started to think of ways to get through this dreadful line faster.

If he said it wouldn't be that long... While typically Genesis would have believed Alburn without a second guess, understanding that his judgment would be better than her own, she had her doubts as she eyed the giant line. Waiting this long would be annoying at worst, however, she felt herself being pulled closer to her brother. He didn't seem very happy himself and in fact, even seemed a bit nervous. Maybe the realization of how long they would have to wait here came to him.

There must be some way for them to get their passports fast that didn't involve waiting in line. Maybe she could try and clear up the area herself. Run and scream about a random attack? It might cause too much panic. How about saying a nearby restaurant was giving out free cheeseburgers? It sounded much too good to be true. After running multiple thoughts through her head, she only realized how many more people there were to go. She was about to resign herself to waiting when she felt her pocket. Her homemade stinkbomb. It was perfect for a task like this, able to clear up a crowd in no time with its horrifying stench. 

She would quickly activate the stinkbomb, throwing it into the crowd of people and hold her nose. Nudging Alburn she would then whisper to him quietly, "Plug your nose, it's going to be smelly." Almost immediately the air began to fill with a foul smell, causing many people waiting in line to gag in response. While there were quite a few people who tried to plug their nose and endure the scent. Other simply decided to abandon their place in line, shortening the amount of time they would have to wait. "That looks much better," Genesis said beaming at her brother. She was clearly proud of her plan.

To many people, being in a long, cramped, and barely moving line is a nightmare, but for someone suffering from claustrophobia like Alburn, it's far worse than that....

That smile the one eyed mage forced himself to make to try and comfort Genesis was slowly dimming as his thoughts begun to race on how pushed together everything is. It almost felt hard to breathe for poor Alburn who just stood there staring at the back of the person in front of him. Sounds of a little crying started to manifest in his head. They were the cries of a younger Alburn, trapped in a very cramped space with no room for movement or escape. Alburn started gritting his teeth, fighting hard not to give in to his fears, causing him to shut his eye tightly. He was on the verge of breaking down...

But then feel Genesis nudge him, surprisingly bringing Al back to his senses as he looked down at her then up at the sudden explosion of stench! Before Alburn had enough time to process what Genesis told him, the stench from the stink bomb found its way up the guy's nose, causing him to cough and gag a bit. "Ahhh...come...on...not...not again!" Alburn complained a bit, finally pinching his nose shut before looking at Genesis. He had a somewhat disappointed look on his face not because of the stunt Genesis pulled but mostly due to himself getting caught up in it...again. Though quickly, Al's face formed a light smile as he witnessed his sister's beaming confidence!

"Heh, you're a genius, Sis." Alburn claimed before looking up at the now shortened line as many of the people previously here fled. Luckily it seems like nobody figured out who the culprit is....though the Rune Knights might end up descending on this area soon...

Her face beamed up at her brother's compliment. Her plan had worked and while there did exist the chance that they would get in trouble, it was highly unlikely they would suspect such an innocent girl like her. Now it wouldn't take as long until she could get the passports. In fact, she already saw the line moving up a bit faster as they neared the front of the line. While a look of disgust was clear on the worker's face, they appeared to try and power through the stench. Before she approached the front of the line, she feigned ignorance with the situation and plugged her nose and gagged. "Brother, when will this smell end. It's gross." She said giving him a wink of acknowledgment as the line moved along. "Can we make it go away?"

In all honesty, this plan stinks...very literally, but it was an effective idea and some good quick thinking on the little blonde's part. Alburn's phobia subsided for now as his mind was now on that horrid stench but most importantly, the line was no longer cramped and moving faster from both a combination of a lot of the people leaving and those who decided to stay trying to hurry up and get their passports and get out of there!

Within no time, the siblings were next and walked up to the worker who pinched their nose with one hand and issued the passports out to the two sneaky mages with the other. "Wh-I don't know. You're the one who makes thes-" Alburn quickly stopped himself, just now realizing the act Genesis was putting on. "Uhhhh I mean, YES! When will this awful odor go away? It is scaring away the ladies ya know." Alburn claimed, over-exaggerating a tad bit. It was enough to cause the worker to raise an eyebrow in suspicion, but then they quickly lost interest and went back to their job.

Alburn then looked down at Genesis with a grin and a wink of his own...or more like a blink since he only has one eye before the two walked off with their new passports! Just in time too since the Rune Knights just entered the scene shortly after.
