Description:
Some say that loyalty is a bond that surpasses even death, and that the loyalty to one's friends is as undying as death itself. One mage and his familiar, an onyx-colored raven, learned this fact the hard way, the raven dying in battle to protect his master. Through power of will and a hefty dose of magical energy, however, the familiar had managed to bind its spirit to his master's ring, continuing to serve him even after his demise, until the mage, too, had lived out his days and the two were eventually reunited. The ring, however, has continued to exist and still contains magical echoes of the raven's spirit which can be called forth to unleash that same loyalty and protect their user with a ferocity that transcends death.

In a burst of spiritual energy around the user, a swarm of ravens will materialize immediately around the user, forming an impenetrable whirlwind of ghostly avians around them which will persist for the rest of the post. This swarm is able to take any incoming attack, driven by an unreasonably strong wish to protect the holder of the ring, even resisting piercing effects. At the same time, more ravens will rush outward from the user's position in a circle around them, attacking anyone they perceive as an enemy or anyone who wishes harm upon the user of the ring relentlessly, dealing damage in the form of a cascade of bites and scratches.
