Watching as Lucille disposed of the final two guards, Rachael sighed and continued their journey towards the forest. She seemed neither impressed nor unimpressed, as her expression was just blank at this point. A small amount of the gore that she had splattered everywhere had found its way to Rachael's cheek, staining it a miniscule amount of red before the two continued their escape into the nearby forest. Lucille was left waiting for Rachael who wasn't as fast as her, and upon catching up, the two disappeared into the forest without a single trace. They were like ghosts, and they only left a trail of bodies as evidence of their accomplishment. Not only that, but Rachael had left a surprise for the guards to find, if they were clever enough to spot it.
"Hey Rachael." Lucille said, attempting to get the doge's attention, but she just now noticed. Rachael had vanished without her realizing, and upon quickly scouting the nearby area, she realized the doge was already gone. Even after giving the Tartarus guild grounds a scan upon arriving back, she couldn't find the girl at all. It was as if she was a ghost, and she wasn't even there. But Lucille knew for a fact that Rachael had been there. The memories of bloodshed were fresh and taking up most of her memories of the night, but Rachael was one of them as well. She must have just had some other business to take care of.
And should anyone look at the newspapers anytime within the next week or two, they would see the overhead image of where the steamroller blew up. It created an abnormally shaped crack that was instantaneously filled with the blood the two dark mages shed that night, making it turn red and telling everyone who had committed that crime. But how had that happened? It caused confusion far and wide, because according to the stories the dark mages committed their crime quickly and left just as suddenly as they had shown up. They should have had no time to do that, yet there it was. On the monochrome colored front of the newspaper, underneath the bold headlines was the image.
