The wings disappeared into sparkles as she landed. Kyll looked around. Shadows. Shrouded Shadows. Kyll looked at everyone fighting the shadows. She then flashed back to Frederick attacking her with those same shrouded shadows. Her thoughts flew into immediate defense mode as she put her hands together then made an orb. "Hey everyone get ready or it will be a bit blurry for you." Kyll said as the yellow orb of light began to get bigger. A shroud of shadow noticed what Kyll was doing. It charged straight for her. The closed eyes mage smirked as the ball of light grew and exploded. The light formed a day light on the island making everything seem more colorful than ever. In fact Kyll could see the trees in perfect coloration. She was astonished by the beauty the island hid in complete darkness. Kyll shook her head as the last two shrouds stopped. They froze and began to disintegrate. Kyll tilted her head. I'm a double edged sword here... Kyll thought. The shrouded creature was frozen by her light. It seemed to be bound by the cosmic force as it looked up at the light. Attracted to it like a fly to a candle. Kyll then gripped her hands. A fly.. That's it. We could use this to our advantage, so that we can make this easier. Of course they can fight, but this would help us save magic.

Her hands began glow with yellow light and she sent a punch straight to the abdomen of the creature making it completely disintegrate. The burst of light dispersed into the sky and everything went back to looking like night. Kyll put a hand on her chin and looked at the group. "So I see what you guys mean. Shadows do no like light. They will stop at everything to make sure it disappears. Meaning that if I use Meteor... They are going to chase me around." Kyll gave a mischievous smile and looked at everyone. "I have a plan now..." Kyll said aloud giggling. "If you're willing to go through with it, depends on you guys, but I think we may have a way an easier way to deal with shadows." Kyll then flashed a glowing green eye straight at Heero with a smile. "You don't have to go all knight in shining armor with this one too." Kyll clapped her hands and then spoke out. "We can call this plan, Tag I'm It." Kyll said with a giggle. She hoped that she didn't have to explain any further and looked over at each of the mages in her 'team.' "I'm certain this will work." If it wasn't going to work, she would just wind up having to be support on this mission. However dealing with shadows was one of her specialties.

It seemed that the first opponent they were going to fight were actual shadows. Yet before Zack even had a chance to move Heero had used powerful high speed techniques to wipe out three. However, quite comically he was kidnapped by one of the remaining three. Quite impressive speed these creatures possessed. Zack stood stock still, a rarity, as he saw the 'Phoenix' head off after Heero to save him whilst one of the shadows went for Sephira and Kyll took one out with a single blow. It was to be honest, fairly impressive. Yet Zack was quite annoyed he had been outsped by any people here. He was meant to be one of the fastest in the world and yet...he hadn't even got a single blow in. So far, him being here almost seemed pointless. Yet at least by standing and watching he had got to see some of the other's magic in action. He knew Heero's magic as he was very famous. Kyll's looked like Heavenly Body. It was a beautiful magic. Sephira was another slayer, a poison demon by the looks of it and Simon was a 'Phoenix'. It was a really interesting combination they had got together.

"If you feel it will work go with your gut is what I always say." Zack said in response to Kyll. She would light herself up with the famous Meteor spell to attract all the shadows. Whilst they were chasing her the rest of the group could pick them off. It was a good strategy, but Zack wan't really the type for plans. He just wanted a fun fight in order to help save the world. He wasn't sure what use he would be now. His confidence had taken a bit of a knock from not being able to do anything to help yet. He took a deep breath, which in the case of a sky slayer was truly a deep breath, and a determined look came to his face. He would show these people what they were made of and he would make himself useful to this group.

Unfortunately, there was nothing much for him to do at this moment. He just had to wait for the next group and offer the support he could, which was high speed powerful strikes. "Ok, let's execute the plan and then...see what happens. Your move Kyll." He got ready to make his move.

Devon watched him closely. It was rare not to see Zack fight when enemies were around, particularly when his allies were in danger. Normally, that was the thing that made him react the swiftest. Could these people be that much faster than Zack or was something else wrong? She couldn't tell, but something seemed off that was certain. Still, he seemed to have gained his resolve now. So perhaps things would be ok.

[b]Heero was yelling at the top of his lungs as he saw a blur of motion but also thinking of a comeback for both Kyll and the other Slayer...from above him, dressed like Simon. Wait--it was Simon. Clearly, he could now see the younger Fairy Tail wizard falling with a giant weapon...with a gigantic backpack on no less. The creature never stood a chance, as Heero slid to a halt as the gigantic mallet Simon was holding let off a brief magical glow before the ninja like being made of pure shadow disintegrated.

"The hell else do you have in that bag?" Heero stood to his feet, scratching his hair with one finger. "Hm hm hm. Maybe I shouldn't take it easy on em!" Heero nodded to Simon, baring a half smirk.

He could sense about five or six more Shadows headed back towards the group, as he realized that they must have some kind of a boss, or a source. "Whatever is sending these things at us will take notice if we keep on taking em out quickly. What do you say we kick it up a notch?"

He slowly tracked the shadows headed towards the group. With eyes like a Dragon, Heero's eyes became serpent like for a moment as he zoomed ahead in the forest, and with a single blink his eyes returned to normal.

"Looks like six, of those ninja shadow whatcha call its. Plus about four...Goblins? But they look the same...easy to follow, their glowing red eyes leave trails behind." Heero thought for just a second, before nodding to Simon. "I'm going!"

With a deep inhale, Heero's cheeks puffed outward as trees shook with wind just from the inhale.

    Sky Dragon's Roar~

A huge rush of wind, exploded as Heero exhaled it at the ground after leaping up with a short hop. Launching him like Sonic the Hedgehog off of a spring up into the sky past the treeline.

The camera would show Heero going up, up, up, flipping forward off into the Horizon. As first person view kicked in, the sound of whistling wind fills the air as Heero looks down beneath him, arms behind him and blue hair trailing behind him. As he began to fall, he went into a comfortable position; seeing the Shadow Goblins and Shrouded headed straight for...a light? It was gone before long, but Heero could see below him now that they were headed directly for Kyll. Although she was flanked by Sephiria and Zack.

Heero would land, ninjitsu style in the center of the group as the four, (soon to be five when Simon arrived) were surrounded by Goblins made of complete shadows, and more Shrouded. Heero flicked his eyes from them to Kyll as they seemed to be staring her down; the goblins bounced their clubs; also completely made of shadows and cackled at Kyll directly. Raising an eyebrow, as Heero's eyes turned Slayer red he smirked with evil intent as all of the shadows now seemed drawn towards him.

'I see....Violence and Light, both of these things probably pull these guys in...for different reasons.' Heero's eyes, now red in color looked around him and back to the group of shadow like creatures ahead.

"You guys should probably run if you know what's good for you---tell the big man to come out and play!" the creatures somehow seemed to understand Heero as they seemed to get more aggressive in their stance. "Ha....see! They're defensive of it, or something; there's probably a source we can take out to destroy them all at once." with a weird way of taunting enemies into figuring out things, Heero had decided that there was just one enemy he needed to get past to poke the Beacon thingy or something.

Before he could think anymore a goblin bum rushed the group, followed by more of them. Heero wouldn't even move, as his eyes pulsed Slayer red once as they approached. A raw burst of magical energy, crackling with yellow lightning exploded from Heero as the goblins were thrown back, and pinned to trees with electromagnetic force.

The Shrouded were smart, and hopped into the trees and bushes surrounding the group as the aura burst flashing with lightning barreled outward from Heero ahead.

'Tsk...just an Aura Burst is enough to send them flying!' Let's play some pinball then!

Arms crossed, Heero raised an eyebrow, as his eyes pulsed Slayer red again, his clothes and hair now swaying a bit with power as a magneto like noise went off into the air.

Magnetic energy, pushed and slammed the Goblins around mid-air, even into eachother; pinning them mercilessly after several trees were bursted through from Heero just manipulating his Aura Bursts with electric energy flashing out from his body and slamming them through them.

The Goblins hissed at Heero as they stood to their feet, reeling. A sideways shot was shown of the four of them being thrown backward yet again and pinned to four different trees.

Every now and then, yellow Lightning would crackle around the pinned Goblins as Heero merely stood with one eyebrow raised; closing his eyes as he crossed his arms. Still standing within Kyll, Sephiria, and Zack.

'Hm...Alye, I wonder if you'll ever come back.' Heero thought of her as he held the creatures in place as in front of him, he opened his eyes and saw the backs of the pair of females Eclipse soul wizards' hair. Zack being closer to him. He would close his eyes, again; keeping his senses open for the Shrouded that were no doubt out there, while the Goblins remained surrounded by lightning, pinned to the tree by magnetic energy and Heero's own magical pressure.

It seemed to Simon all the fighting was drawing out more and more shadows, especially with Kyll now flying around as the human fire work. Regardless of all the surely important things his teammates were doing, and regardless of the possibility that they might need help and completely regardless of the possibility that he may need their help Simon saw this as a chance to go towards the beacon. The look on their faces when I single handedly light the first beacon. This will be great. He quickly unequipped Tzar and tossed the heavy thing into his backpack, not wanting to waste a drop more of magic power and broke into a sprint towards the beacon. Now the phoenix wasn't entirely sure how he was to reactivate the beacon but he figured it would be pretty obvious once he got there. As he weaved through trees and brush, just barely able to navigate with his keen bird vision in the darkness of the island Simon was a blur of motion. Despite the heavy load on his back he moved through the forest like terrain like a swift wind. Quiet and invisible save for the occasional ruffling of leaves. I will never get over how I am like a freaking awesome ninja.

However it seemed the various creatures that inhabited the island were most unimpressed by Simon's speed and stealth. Before he even noticed Simon was being pursued and was soon to be surrounded. He picked up on the presence of his hidden foes with his magic sensory just in time to avoid running straight into a hulking bull seemingly made of shadow. The menacing enemy seemingly appeared in front of Simon from nowhere. Simon had to slide to a halt to avoid impaling himself on the beast's large horns. The grass rustled and a twig broke as Simon staggered backwards into a fighting stance Where did that thing come from?Well if it's just the one... From the corner of his eye Simon saw several pairs of red eyes gleaming in the distance and from the sound of puffing breath a short distance behind him there was only one conclusion Simon could draw "Shit I'm surrounded aren't I?"

As if in response to his rhetorical question(honestly haven't monsters ever heard of rhetoric?) one of the shrouded dashed at Simon from behind a tree and attempted to run him through with a long sword. Simon ducked out of the way and launched an upward kick into the shrouded's gut. "Take that!" But as the blow connected and the dark entity began moving heavenward it reached into it's robe and then quickly yanked it out throwing whatever it grabbed at Simon. Having incredibly reaction speeds Simon was able to identify the projectile as a throwing needle and it would have been a simple task to dodge it, but that would be boring. The needle buried itself in Simon's forehead and he fell to a knee with a cry.

The shrouded landed several feet back from Simon's kick and staggered back to join it's comrades just out of sight. Red eyes bore into the boy as if waiting to see if he was dead. A lesser person would have been killed by such an attack and that is what Simon was counting on. After making a show of falling on his hands and knees he broke into laughter. If it was possible for shadow monsters to be confused they surely were now. Simon rose back to his feet and *gasp* the bloody needle was in his hand and there was no wound on his head.

"Behold ye mighty and despair. I am Simon the Phoenix! I have the power to instantly recover from any injury. Attack me all you want I don't care, I won't even feel it." He casually discarded the piece of pointy metal and laughed some more. Now he was pacing in a circle staring into the shadows with both his eyes and magic sensory. This was more then a scare tactic he was taking this time to get a head count on his foes and to assess their magic ability. Monsters are all the same. People are kind of like this too I guess. Tell them something they fear to be true is real and then give them just enough proof to entertain the notion. Instantly they begin to believe it. The phoenix now had the enemy demoralized(as close to it as shadow monsters got) and took away their element of surprise and at the same time also got a read on how many there were.

    Pretty good huh?

Now his healing flame was pretty useful but it wasn't all powerful. He was just playing it up for effect. Brushing off the needle attack was especially easy, Simon couldn't have asked for a better demonstration. You see to the phoenix flame all skin healed just as easily. Grey matter was just as easy to repair as the skin on your pinkie finger. In short Simon didn't have "vital points" anymore. A shot to the heart or the head didn't mean anymore then one in his hand or his foot. His only fear were attacks that damaged large amounts of skin, which constituted most attacks but still it was a pretty sweet deal.

Final step of his little demonstration Simon spun on his heels and raised his hand up to shoulder level pointing it out at a swathe of enemies. Then with a snap of his fingers the group was engulfed in a blast of blue flame, like a bomb from nowhere."Now let's dance!" Simon wasn't sure how effective his attack was in mowing down enemy numbers but he knew he got at least 1 guy while at the same time signaling his allies of his location.  However now all the enemies were done being scared and all charged Simon as a collective mass of shadowy death. Simon wrapped his arms in blue flame and grinned, impossible odds and certain death. This was what he lived for.
