First Meeting with Kichiro(Social/Private)

Alyia walked down the street. She had decided to visit Hargeon on one of her spontaneous bursts. But, now that she was in Hargeon she had no idea what to do or where she was at that fact. 'Where the hell am I?' she asked herself as she took a look around.

Alyia looked at all of the people who passed and an idea popped into her head. Spotting a tree that decorated the side walk Alyia picked up several small pebbles that littered the ground and headed towards the tree. Upon reaching the tree Alyia found that the first branch was just out her reach. "Tch," she mumbled. damn her 5' shortness.

Alyia sighed in defeat at the thought that her prank was no longer available due to her unbearable shortness.

Yukine wandered down Hargeon Town. He, of course, had travelled down here due to yet another purpose; he needed to pick up a package containing some repair tools for his weapons. Of course, Yukine also enjoyed the bay that surrounded the coast of this town. It was actually one of the routes he took to travel back home conveniently; Oak Town. Upon his stroll, however, Yukine encountered someone who seemed lost. It was near a decorated tree that signalled a potential entranceway to a park where Mages often displayed their magic. Albeit, Yukine chose not to do such a thing, but rather be generous at this time, and help the lady out. He approached her, and gave a silly remark. "Pretty decorations, huh?" Yukine began, "Not only does it enlighten the town, but it's also an advertisement for the park over there." Yukine pointed his finger towards the left of the two, and smiled warmly before he turned back to the woman, and offered a handshake. "I'm Yukine from a guild called Eclipse Soul. I'm supposed to be here simply for a package, though you looked lost, so I decided help. Otherwise, it's nice to meet you!" Hopefully the female before him would be kind enough to introduce herself, as well. It was interesting how she seemed locked upon a single tree, whereas this woman could've been anywhere else. Yukine supposed everyone had their likes and dislikes, and that everyone was unique in their own way, no matter what he thought of them.

Alyia looked up at the male standing in front of her. Yukine had said that he was from Eclipse Soul. That was the guild that she had joined only a few days ago. 'So he's a guild mate, huh?,' Alyia though. Shifting her eyes to the hand that he was sticking out for a hand shake she smirked.

"Name's Alyia. Also an Eclipse Soul guild member," she said as she took his hand giving it a firm shake. "Are you willing to help me play a prank?" Alyia pulled her hand out of the hand shake and held out the pebbles that she had picked up along the sidewalk."I was planning to throw them at the mages n the park from this tree, but I'm too darn shot to get up in the tree." Alyia looked at the tree with a hateful glare.

Yukine's smile grew lighter when Alyia shook his hand, and identified that she was a fellow guild member. "Oh wow! How convenient!" Yukine commented. He then listened to what Alyia had planned. It seemed she wasn't as lost as Yukine thought. She had already seen Mages in the park, who seemed to be having fun. Though, would throwing pebbles at them be considered a prank? Yukine wondered for a moment, then took the pebbles. "Watch this.." Yukine whispered as he ran up the trunk of the tree, bounced off of it, grabbed a strong branch, and pulled himself on top of it. The tree had many leaves over it, which gave a lot of shade to those under it. Additionally, from where the Mages stood, the shade was so strong, that it'd be near-impossible for any of them to notice Yukine. Yukine gathered three pebbles in each hand, then hurled them hand-by-hand towards the Mages, sliding a pebble from his palm to in between his index finger and thumb, each time for a proper throw. Each Mage was hit in the thigh by a pebble, which did not hurt them, but rather made them question where the pebbles came from. It was then that Yukine climbed even further up the tree so he'd by hidden by the numerous leaves. The Mages left the park soon after as they were bothered by the curiosity of the pebble-throwing.

Alyia had watched from the ground a couple steps away from the tree as Yukine did exactly what she had thought of doing herself. She felt a little jealous at the sight of him doing the exact same prank that she had thought of. 'Stupid tree and your stupid height,' Alyia thought to herself as she glared at the tree. Though brooding on it would have been a great past time for her, Alyia instead looked up at Yukine who was sitting up in the tree. She flashed him a smirk and gave him a thumbs up signaling that he had done exactly what she had hoped to do herself.

"Nice job," she spoke loudly up to him as she walked to the tree so that she would stand directly underneath the tree.

Yukine slowly used the lower branches, along with the trunk of the tree to descend carefully. Once he set foot on the ground again, he sighed and looked at Alyia, who was next to him with her thumb up. "This was my first prank." Yukine mentioned, "It felt odd, but I guess that's just because I'm a beginner." As Yukine spoke, he felt his throat become a bit dry. "This warm weather is making me desperate for a drink? Want to join me for one over by that booth?" Yukine offered, "It's my treat! Also, while we're here, I can tell you all I know about Eclipse Soul." Yukine pat Alyia on the back for showing him some fun, and gave her a light grin, which he hoped would persuade her into accepting his offer.

Alyia looked over at the booth that Yukine had suggested that they go to. It was warm and she was thirsty, but she didn't want to have him spend money on her. That was until she saw that they offered a chocolate smoothie. Alyia could not resist chocolate in any form. She looked up at Yukine to see his smile. A free chocolate smoothie, being able to help play a prank, and being able to know more about the guild that she had just joined could this day get any more productive? 'Very little,' she thought.

With a nod of her head Alyia agreed to the free drink and conversation.

Yukine looked ahead after he saw the approval given by Alyia. He walked over to the booth, and approached the server. "I would like a vanilla coke float please!" Yukine requested. He directed his attention once more to Alyia after his order and asked: "What would you like to drink?" He gave a curious look, wondering what kind of drinks this lady was into. He was glad, however, that Alyia seemed so interested in the guild that she would allow him to speak of it. Most members nowadays were just in a guild to attain opportunity, and do activities that only a limited amount of Mages could do; the legal Mages being able to do the better things as they were sponsored by the Magic Council- except Eclipse Soul, of course.

Alyia looked at Yukine then at the server who was waiting patiently for her to order then back at Yukine. "A double chocolate smoothie please," Alyia told him. "Oh and some whip cream on the top?"

After telling Yukine what she wanted to order she turned away to look at her surroundings again. Soon a thought came popping into her head and a smirk grew on her facial features. She turned back to Yukine. "Vanilla huh?" She started. "Exact opposite of mine."

Yukine looked at Alyia confusedly for a moment before he understood what she was talking about. "Actually, I prefer chocolate, too." Yukine replied, "For awhile now, when it comes to food and drinks, I don't have a favourite." Yukine wandered about, and found the perfect table in the far right corner under the hanging this booth had to give off shade; just like the tree moments ago. "Let's sit here!" Yukine invited. This was a rhetorical invite as Yukine sat in the desired area, anyway. He placed the two drinks on the table before he ran back to the cashier, and paid for the two drinks. Yukine also left a tip to express his kindness. "Come on!" Yukine added as he headed back to the table.

Alyia stared after Yukine for a moment before following him. She had never met someone so excited and out going in her entire life. True she had only joined a guild just a few days ago but before that she really did not have very much human interaction. She had been on her own trying to learn how to use her magic. Following a few steps behind Yukine she had finally reached the table where they were going to have their drinks. The table was made of metal and had the pattern of mesh cloth. There were only two seats at the table one for each of them. The chairs matched the table perfectly. The same type of metal and same type of design. Alyia pulled out the seat behind her drink and sat down grabbing her smoothie and taking a sip.

Yukine seated himself after Alyia, across from her. He looked down at his drink, which looked rather appealing- very appealing, actually. He took a light sip of it, and realized that real French vanilla had been put into this drink; this was not the type of drink that could be produced simply from a machine or two; it was handmade. Yukine wondered about Alyia, and so he looked ahead of him. She seemed to dig into the drink the moment she had a firm grasp of it- or at least that is what Yukine saw; he wasn't entirely sure. Albeit, the atmosphere was silent as the two simply enjoyed their drinks, and drank slowly until the liquid would gently touch the bottom of the glass. Of course, this moment wouldn't be for awhile. Yukine took a pause from drinking, and stared at Alyia curiously.

"Eclipse Soul is a guild of redemption." Yukine exclaimed, "It accepts even the darkest Mages, though it does not encourage malicious activity. In fact, those who are dark, and enter Eclipse Soul are there to amend for their sins, and renew their records, entirely. Because we offer such a service, the Magic Council frowns upon our guild." Yukine took a second pause to ensure Alyia could process the information in her head. "Eclipse Soul hopes to reveal the best in people; their happy side. So, if you have any troubles, you've come to the right place!" Yukine giggled after this little story, and continued taking sips from his vanilla coke float.

Alyia looked at Yukine and listened to every thing that Yukine had said, every word. Eclipse Soul sounded like a welcoming place. A place where she could belong. Could. Alyia looked away from Yukine and towards the people passing on the street.  She didn't know if she could stop herself from pranking people and bringing misfortune on people, it was just so much fun to watch them panic and become miserable. Alyia took another long sip of her chocolate smoothie. "Sounds like a great place," she said. "And screw the Council. All they do is make rules so that people can't do anything fun. Besides is Eclipse Soul is changing people why should they be mad. They should be thankful you are causing them less problems." Alyia held nothing in as she spoke about the council. She sincerely disliked them for setting so many rules for mages and the fact that most of them spoiled her fun.

Alyia turned her head to look back at Yukine and gave him a rare smile.

"I knew you'd like it!" Yukine cheered. He listened wisely upon the fact that Alyia despised the Magic Council. It was an interest fact, and Yukine wondered if he should agree or disagree to it. "You know, I've only encountered one member of the Magic Council in my life so far." Yukine remarked, "Shaku, was it? Anyways, he was a blunt man, but very caring. I suppose the Magic Council is just being too advantageous with their authority." Yukine gave this message to store a thought into Alyia's mind that, while the establishment of the Magic Council may seem nefarious, the people within may seem better. That's how Shaku was to Yukine, after all. "Have you met anyone else in Eclipse Soul?" Yukine asked, "If not, I can surely help you out!" Yukine took some more sips from his drink, the overall beverage hitting the center of the glass as Yukine was enjoying himself. It was then, however, that Yukine noticed a smile on the lady's face in front of him. "You like to pull pranks on people, yet that smile shows me that it doesn't reveal itself so often. Why?" Yukine wondered. He looked at Alyia curiously, and thought for a moment if he was asking too many questions.

Alyia's blue eyes flashed wide then narrowed as the smile that decorated her face fell and turned into a frown. "None of your business," she hissed at the blond who was sitting across from her. Alyia did not like to talk about her past or anything that concerned her childhood. This was the reason that she closed herself off from other people and had her abnormal attitude. Alyia fiercely snatched her smoothie off of the metal table and took a big sip of the chocolaty goodness. She avoided looking at the man that sat across the table from her and glared out at all of the ignorant happy people that walked along the street. She hated them all of them they didn't know what pain what or what it was like to lose all of your family.

Yukine laughed at the hiss Alyia made, but then frowned and sighed heavily as, shortly after, Alyia seemed very upset. "I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. It's a likeable smile, anyways." Yukine confessed. It was painful to see Alyia take that large sip from her drink. Was she rushing to get out of here during this time? Rain suddenly poured as the sun faded into the clouds. Thankfully, the hanging was water-proof, and none of the drops sunk through. Yukine, however, felt as blue as the raindrops. He was witnessing a new outcome as the once-happy Alyia was now turned away from him. "I must've referred you to something bad, didn't I?" Yukine added, "Want to know how I redeemed my happiness?" Alyia should have figured by now that Yukine was in Eclipse Soul due to a sudden reversal of fortunes; a tragedy.

"One day, as a spoiled brat, some criminals murdered by family. I had the opportunity to kill them; to show them the pain they unleashed upon my family. However, I didn't. Instead, I simply wished my now-deceased family all the best, and ran away from the scene. I didn't want to become just as bad as those criminals. Months later, I found some awesome friends, who all treated me like family. I shared many things with them, like alcohol, donuts, candy, and most importantly, parties. No longer did I feel like a spoiled brat, but an average kid that made a miracle occur; friendship and fun."

Yukine smiled warmly after making this speech, hopefully it would have Alyia turn around for him. "Everyone in Eclipse Soul has horrible pasts, and I apologize if ours are alike. However, just as I began my life anew with friendship, I'm gonna offer you a chance to start the same way. Alyia, I would like to be your first friend, if that's okay with you." Yukine offered.

Alyia's mind spun. Had she really hear those words? Had he really just offered to be friends with her? Alyia could not believe what had just happened. She turned her head away from the people walking through the rain that had just started pouring down from the over cast clouds to Yukine who was smiling warmly at her. "F-friend?" Alyia stuttered out still trying to get over the shock of someone wanting to be her friend. "You want to be my friend? Me? I close people out, I cause misfortune to fall upon people. Why would you want to be friends with me?" The short girl could just not get over the fact that this blond energetic boy would want to be friends with her. She looked at Yukine with innocent wonder in her eyes. 'Why?' Was the only thought that ran through her head during those several moments in time.

Yukine laughed at the thought of Alyia belittling herself so much. "Eclipse Soul has one last treat in their guild; a second chance." Yukine remarked, "Like I said before, Eclipse Soul helps you redeem yourself. Once I introduce you to friendship, I'm sure that rare smile of yours will become common. However, there's just one condition to this great new life you can attain, and that is to trust me." Yukine recalled Viola's goal. She wanted everyone to live in peace and harmony, and most importantly, be happy. If Yukine could do this for Alyia, he would already be achieving this goal. "Once you become my friend, I'll introduce you to other chocolate lovers; like Kyll and Viola!"

Alyia still could not believe that the person in front of her wanted to be her friend. Her mouth hung open just a little in awe that this was actually happening. People did not usually like to get near her due to her pranks and her closed off personality. But this man not only wanted to be her friend but also wanted her to trust him. A small unwanted smile appeared on her face. She moved her hand in order to cover it, but none the less the smile was still there. Suddenly, Alyia frowned. She didn't want friends. She didn't want anyone to be near her because if they were there was the possibility of losing them and she didn't think that she could handle that. But, she couldn't shake off the feeling that the person who sat across from her would stick in her mind. "You can become my friend, but I don't want anyone else to," Alyia told him, "and I'm only accepting you as a friend because you seemed to have weaseled your way into my head and now it won't let you go." Alyia turned away from the blond mage sitting across from her with a scowl on her face, but at the corner of her lips there was an upturning, the start of a small smile.

Yukine sighed and left that warm smile on his face. "Fair enough." Yukine replied, "Life is always quality over quantity, after all; you could have one friend that makes you smile all day and night, while you can have many friends that only play with you for a couple hours each day. I'd like to be your friend for as long as I can; be that friend that's always by your side. That's my quality; satisfaction!" Yukine added. He took some more sips from his vanilla coke float until it was finally finished. Its smooth texture down Yukine's throat made him fully refreshed, whilst the sugar and caffeine kept him lively. "So, what are your hobbies...other than pranks?" Yukine asked, "We could go play sports, visit a place or two downtown...whatever you like!" Yukine made these recommendations as he saw Alyia cover her mouth with one of her hands. He could tell, however, with the tip of her lips swinging upwards, that she was smiling underneath. Yukine knew that someday, that smile would be eternal; Alyia clearly hadn't thought of that yet.

Alyia clamed down and turned back to the table with a blank face. She held her smoothie in her hands and took another sip. Hearing the sound that occurs when a straw tries to pick up the lasts bits of soda Alyia looked down to see that she had drank all of her smoothie. A small frown appeared at her realization. 'Awww...,' Alyia thought,[color=#33cc99] 'no more chocolaty goodness.'[/color] The short blond set down her cup and looked up at Yukine. "I like climbing," she told him without a second thought, "Trees, rock, anything." Alyia looked up at the sky. It seemed as if the rain had come when she was upset and now that she was happy again the clouds had dissipated and the sun was out again. "I like to be anywhere high," Alyia said still looking up at the sky, "It makes me feel free makes me feel like I can do anything. No restrictions."

A grin appeared on Yukine's face after he heard Alyia's unique hobby. His magical broomstick appeared in his grasp from his pocket dimension. He attempted to hand it over to Alyia. "Try this!" Yukine offered, "If you sit on this broomstick, you can control where it goes with your own mind. The broomstick will be your best friend, and stay with you at all times; it will even pick you up if you fall." Yukine laughed at the thought, and he remembered how much paranoia used to fill his mind just by sitting on the object. "The best part is the broomstick can fly above any tree; as high as an airplane, actually. Use it, and let me know when you're finished. Stay here though, or else the broomstick will lose track of me- its owner- and disappear. In other words, stay above me, in approximately a 100 feet radius."

Alyia's eyes grew wide and held an excited glint in them. This boy would allow her to venture up high in the air on something that he owned so that she could be happy. Alyia looked at the broom and then back at Yukine, who seemed happy to lend her the broom, then back at the broom. Reaching her hand out Alyia brushed against the cool wood surface of the handle before moving away as the broom moved a little bit upwards. Alyia took a deep breath if she was going to do this it would have to be now. Alyia stood up from her seat at the table and got closer to the broom. With a purpose Alyia reached her and out and grasped the handle of the broom. Alyia maneuvered the broom so that it was parallel to the ground and sat on it so that both legs were on either side of the broom. Alyia looked at the broom that was now beneath her and took another deep breath. 'Up,' she thought to the broom. With a sharp jerk the broom lifted farther off the ground. "Ahhh!" Alyia said in surprise. 'Stop!' She thought at the broom.

The broom suddenly stopped moving with a sudden jerk. Alyia's body jerked forward and she found herself hitting the ground with her butt. Alyia looked up from where she was sitting to Yukine as if asking mentally for help.

Yukine watched as Alyia took off in a decent fashion with his broomstick. However, as he continued to see how the broomstick was positioned, Yukine became worried. Alyia wasn't too far off the ground, thankfully, when Yukine saw her hit the ground with her butt. Yukine thought of an idea, and grinned. "The broomstick didn't save you because you didn't trust it." Yukine commented, "Watch this." Yukine sat on the broomstick that was currently discarded out of Alyia's grasp. He held onto the stick firmly, and witnessed the broomstick gently move according to Yukine's will. He slowly descended back onto the ground, and set foot back onto the ground. "Hold the broomstick firmly to show respect, and be the broom's guide. Like I said, the broomstick moves according to your will, so treat it to your finest. Show hesitance, and the broomstick will move suddenly, just as it did with you recently."

It looked like there would be two life lessons with a single item.

Alyia nodded her head in understanding. Putting her hand on the ground for support Alyia got up off the ground and went to stand in front of the broom. Standing right next to Yukine Alyia gripped the broom with confidence. She was not going let the same thing happen again. Not if she could help it. With a firm grim Alyia maneuvered the broom away from Yukine and to her height. She was after all much shorter than he was. “Alright,” Alyia said with confidence, “let’s do this and not fall off.” Alyia situated herself so that she was in the position she was in before; legs straddling the broomstick and hands gripping the handle of the broomstick. With a deep breath in and out. ‘I trust you,’ Alyia thought at  the broom. She could feel the broomstick under her become more warm and friendly instead of the cold and hard feeling she had felt the last time she had gotten on the broom. ‘Up,’ Alyia thought to the broomstick as if telling it rather than demanding it.

The broomstick lifted Alyia up off of the ground and into the air. With excitement coursing through her body the short blonde looked at Yukine and gave him one of her smiles. “I did it!”
