Description:
The ability to absorb, create, control, and manipulate Madness/Insanity/fear within one's self, others or the madness energy around, whether increasing, decreasing, causing or otherwise chancing insanity, even manifesting the emotional energy to physical level and gain power from it.
Strengths:
- Defense against it breaks down more and more over time, no one is truly immune to it.
-An enemy losing their sanity or fear breaking their spirit can cause it to spread to nearby enemies.
-Once the magic is seeded in the enemy it becomes cheaper to maintain as it feeds of the negative emotions essentially powering itself.
Weaknesses:
- While it can cause greatly debilitating effects, at lower levels it causes no real physical harm.
- Strong willpower or mental shielding can cause the magic's effect to take hold slowly.
- Limited Defensive spells make his magic very risk-for-reward(no clue how to properly word that)
-has no effect on inanimate objects
Abilities/Powers:
Aura Read: People or creatures that exhibit fear or madness emit an aura that Xiphius can see and sense, becoming brighter as they grow more fearful or mad.(40m max, the auras can be seen through solid objects.)
Mind of the mad: Xiphius has a constant mental barrier, a collection of every fear he has felt from all his opponents. When a psychic or mentally invasive magic attempts to enter his mind. They feel this massive rush of fears hit them lessening their concentration.(This grants Xiphius a 25% resistance to any psychic or mind invading/altering magic.)This does not protect him from his own magic.

Type: Psychic/fear/madness
Description:
Quickly reading the target's aura, Xiphius attacks plants a small maddening thought in the target's mind.
1 target within 40m begins hearing whispers at the back of their mind, just out of reach of audibility. they begin seeing aberrant creatures and mutants at the edge of their vision. the sounds of children cries slowly morph into howling demons.
The target is slowed both in movement speed and and reaction times. this progressivlely gets worse turn after turn.
Strengths:
-target struggles to maintain concentration makes both attacking and defending difficult
-long range, and combined with the ability to read auras, Xiphius doesn't need line of sight to use this spell
-without a psychic shield or a great test of will the spell is hard to defend against
Weaknesses:
-single target
-no physical damage
-psychic defenses would be able to put up a defense against it.
-enemies who have completely lost their mind can be unpredictable and very aggressive
Name: Madness form(Illusion)

Type: Fear/Illusion
Description:
Xiphius conjures an illusion around himself or an ally(or even an enemy) making them seem look like a large aberrant mutant, terrifying and twisted from an unknown dimension.
Xiphius concentrates on the target for a moment the illusion takes shape.
Enemies are terrified of this person afraid to attack them and panicked at an attack from them lowering their guard to others around it. Enemies already under the effects of "Seeds of mania" view this beast with utter Delirium, paralyzed for the 1st post it is created and will choose to attack all others before the creature after the 1st post.
The vision last 5 post or until revoked by Xiphius.
cooldown is 1 post longer than its last use
Strengths:
-strong manipulation of the battlefield.
-can affect multiple enemies
-could save a downed ally, fearing enemies away from him/her
Weaknesses:
-a melee ranged ally would find it more a nuisance to potentially have to chase a running enemy
-strong willed enemies could see through the visage
-the illusion will fall if the target leaves a 40m range of Xiphius
-only works against sentient beings
Name: Delirium Infusion(lesser)
Rank: D-Rank
Type: Madness/enchantment
Description:
Xiphius infuses a person or weapon with the raw essence of madness and insanity granting it a temporary boost in power. The weapon or person gives off an ominous dark red aura, whispers of madness emanate from it.
Xiphius needs only to concentrate for a quick moment on the person/item and it becomes charged for 1 weapon attack or spell use. or 3 posts if not expended right away.
3 post cooldown(3 posts starting after the charge is expended) has to be within 20m and have line of sight.
Strengths:
-Works with any kind of spell or weapon(enhances defensive spells offensive spells, controlling spells, weapons, armor.
-can be used for an easy finisher or a strong opening move.
-requires no time to use
Weaknesses:
-only works for one use
-if used on equipment it becomes hard to conceal
-long cooldown
-can have adverse effects if the user is under the power of another Delerium spell.

Type: Directed emotional energy
Description:
A focused beam of raw emotional energy, it is only effective up to 30m away
the spell takes one post of channeling to cast, unless the target is under the affect of seeds of mania which he instantly draws power from that.
Strengths:
-Can be used repeatedly, as its can feed off the opponents negative emotion
-As a ranged attack it may be used to keep his enemies at a distance.
