Well, this definitely was not how Eli imagined his first guild job going. While he never exactly imagined himself in a guild in the first place, never imagined going to deal with a vulcan and goblin being his first. It just seemed to... silly. Seriously. He had to go deal with two idiots that tried to block a train for 100 pies. He let out a long sigh, walking along the train track with his team. It was fairly far down the track, and by now both sides were covered with forest on either side. That was probably one of the main reasons it had taken so long for the situation to get resolved; it was fairly out of the way. Both hands in his pockets, Eli leaned his head back and started humming a tune. It had no strict rhythm, and instead seemed to constantly change. It wasn't that bad however, Eli had a good sense for music, and a surprisingly good singing voice.
It was boring, but in the end it was him who picked the job. He had grabbed it because it for a few reasons, but they all seemed irrelevant to him now. It was harder than he thought to get work when you just joined a guild; it seemed most clients valued experience heavily. Well, he'd just have to prove to them that he could handle it then. It shouldn't be too hard; just do a few easy jobs then before you know it he could start taking some real challenges. And the- Wait, what was he thinking? It didn't matter at all, it's not like he was going to stay in the guild. He had ever intention of leaving as soon as he found a way to make sure Zenshin let him go in peace. He looked back to his group, still humming his tune. Seeing Emilia and Brielle behind him, it made him feel kinda bad for leaving. There was no way he could make Emilia leave, she wanted to be in a guild, it was wrong of him to take her away. And he was actually fairly fond of Brielle. She was one of the main reasons he took such an easy job; he didn't want anything too stressful on her. Not that he doubted her abilities as a wizard, he just didn't want to put too much pressure on such a young girl. Returning to his view of the sky, he pushed the thoughts out of his head. He could deal with that when he actually found a way to leave the guild, for now, he should focus on the job.
