Hunt For The Healer (Axel;Kihia)

As Axel ran, he heard Kihia shout for him to take cover, So Axel just kept running to avoid whatever he was talking about. After a few seconds, Axel heard a large sound, like an explosion. After the sound faded, Axel looked behind him. A big portion of the area was covered in ice, and Axel even saw wolves and boars frozen within the zone. Of course, Axel was far away from the radius, so he was good. If Kihia did not shout the warning, he would probably be frozen, but then, Axel had never been frozen, so he wondered what it would be like. Axel had to squint his eyes to see the frozen area, since he was far away, like 50 yards or so, from it. He saw something run towards him with insane speeds, It looked like a horse, but it as white and green all over, and Axel never saw a green horse. He soon realized it must have been the rare creature he and Kihia needed to look out for. Axel had no ideal what he was doing when he sub-consciously started running towards the hoarse, because he then turned left and began running, so Axel ran after it.

"You idiot! Why did you run after it when we are supposed to capture it! I thought you were supposed to be the brains of this group," said Ragna. "First of all, we are not a group. Second of all, I have no ideal why I did hat I did. No worrying about it now. I will just run this hoarse towards the cliff, were Kihia can capture it," said Axel. he continued chasing the hoarse, and at times would fly to get over the hoarse, so it could change direction, heading towards the cliff wall. As they neared the cliff wall however, the hoarse jumped up a few trees, and Axel could not see him, so he flew over to the top, and the animal dissapeared. "Where the hell did that thing go? Crap, I need help then. Kihia! Start looking for the animal again!" said Axel, shouting that last sentence loud enough for Kihia to hear. Axel wandered around the forest aimlessly looking for the rare animal. He somehow slipped right from under Axel's nose, and he felt stupid.

"This would never have happened if you didn't space out. Give me infinite control of your body, and I will make sure you never mess up like that again," said Ragna. Axel laughed. "You really expect me to hand over my body to a demon? Heh, maybe when hell freezes over, and I don't think Kihia's freeze bomb covers all of that," said Axel, making a joke. He would never hand over his body to Ragna, because he know the first thing he will do is go on a murder spree. Of course, since Axel can resist for now, he thinks it is best for Ragna to stay inside of himself. Sure, there are times when the control breaks, but better than having him in some dumb person that get's controlled easily. Axel kept looking for the Hoarse.

Kihia opened his eyes for after a long moment, he had been waiting for the light to fade away from the explosion he had created. He looked around and examined the after effects from Icarus’s ultimate technique. Kihia’s entire surrounds were now frozen in a thick layer of ice. Master Iarok’s Cryogenic Blast… A technique he had empowered into his weapon… something to aid him in combat… as well as repairing his great constructs in the process… Kihia then looked at where the animals were at, they were encased in a shell of ice, all of them were, it was as if they were ice sculptures representing the old saying Frozen in time…

He nodded and then looked back at the cliff side, and saw that the explosion had reached all the way passed the cave entrance. He smiled, I am glad I have finally learned how to use this ability… I had always heard Qourin mention the ability, but Iarok had never used it when I was with him… at least I don’t think he did… Kihia then heard Axel yell, “Where the hell did that thing go? Crap, I need help then. Kihia! Start looking for the animal again!" Kihia looked towards the general location Axel’s words came from, I am glad to hear he is safe… Wait… He had seen our target but it had gotten away from him?? Kihia then quickly started looking around and keep his ears open. He then saw icicles falling down from the trees in front of him coming his way.

Kihia watched as the icicles tracks came closer and closer and eventually passed him, “Axel! If that is not you… You better had better get over here now!!” He grimaced, Kihia figured out where the passing creature that had been leaving the trail of falling icicles was headed. The cliff side cave… that darn thing his headed to the cliff side cave… Kihia then put both of his hands on the icy surface and focused on the cliff side cave, “You won’t be getting away that easily…” He channeled his magical power energy into the ice and focused around the entrance of the cave, “Ice Make… Spear Trap!!” He wouldn’t be able to see it himself, but the fifteen ice poles would form at the mouth of the cave and seal it off from outside access.

Kihia then skated to the cliff wall and looked up, he then saw a white and green horse jump out of the trees straight for what would have been the cave entrance. The horse collided head on with the spears and fell backward, Oh crap this isn’t good! Kihia then focused his magical power into the ice sheet again and made an ice slide for the falling horse, he managed to keep forming the slide(10% MP) in front of the falling horse which he led down to the ground and towards the cliff wall. “Easy now… we are not going to hurt you… we need your help in saving our client’s life…” He said this trying to comfort the Houyhnhnm, however he was unsure how effective this would be

Axel continued looking for the hoarse. He was almost certain it teleported and escaped the forest for good. If that happened, he and Kihia would not get rewarded for the job. of course, the baddest part was that the man who needed the healing of the hoarse would die. Axel hoped that the rare animal as just good at hiding, because he could not afford to mess up on this job, not when there was a life on the line. Axel walked around the forest aimlessly, letting Kihia search the half he was around, while he himself check the other half. Every now and then Axel would take a fruit from a tree and eat it. They were on a job but they did not need to be deprived of food while doing it. While searching, Axel heard sounds, and they were the sounds he has been hearing all throughout the job. He ran quickly to the side of the forest that Kihia was searching around when he saw the frozen area and the animals that had now broken free.There were seven wolves and a boar. Axel looked up at the cliff side and saw that Kihia had succesfully found the hoarse. Axel was relieved, but had no ideal what to do. While he was still thinking, the wolves came after him. He swiftly ran to wards them and went straight for Kihia. He did not know exactly how this would help the rare animal situation, but Axel needed help fighting. As Axel neared Kihia, the Hoarse, which seemed to be damaged just a little, got up and decided to run away from Axel and the wolves, running to his left so he would not be caught in the front.

Axel felt bad that he let the animal escape, but he would die if he did not get help .The animal could easily be found again anyway. The wolves cornered him and Kihia to the cliff wall. The boar was no where to be found. One of the wolves ran towards Axel and Kihia, but Axel got the jump on him by slashing downward with his just-unsheathed sword, so the wolf did not see it coming. It was dead on the floor right next to Axel. Two more wolves ran towards Axel, and he ran towards them as well.Axel went to slash a wolf, but he rotated himself to Axel's other side, so Axel took a swing at the other one, but he did the  same. One of the wolves now behind Axel jumped to attack him, attempting to bite his neck, but Axel turned around just in time to slash and kill the wolf, but then ran almost instantly towards the other wolf that had gotten behind him. He was able to slash him as well, ending his life. Another wolf ran towards Axel, but hesitated to attack him. It must have been watching Axel kill the others with such a fury. Axel took that hesitation and was able to slash the wolf down before he could even attack. Three wolves left, and not to mention a boar somewhere in the area.

Kihia watched as the horse got even more spooked from Axel coming in and the other animals thawing out. It tried to take off but was having trouble finding it’s footing on the ice. Kihia nodded and then put both of his hands on the ground focusing on the opening of the cove they were at. I am sorry for partially destroying your all’s home… but we need to capture this horse alive…, he closed his eyes and a magic circle appeared underneath his hands, and another one appeared at the entrance to the cove, “Ice Make… Glacier Wall!!”

The ground started to shake and trees that were frozen had parts of their trunks shattered and fell over. A large glacier started to form and rise up out of the magic circle that had appeared at the cliff cove’s entrance, after five minutes of the constant shaking and rumbling the glacier had finished forming. It was so large it had managed to seal off the entrance to the cove, effectively trapping anything that could not fly inside the area.

Kihia stood up and smiled, “The trap has been set… we just need to knock out our unwanted guests…” Kihia turned around and saw that the wolves and the boar had been caught completely off guard from their new environment, Sorry you all… you will have a bad headache when you awake but your lives will not be taken from you… Kihia then skated towards the boar full speed, the boar was having a lot of trouble trying to finding his footing on the ice with his hooves. Kihia gently smiled, the ice does not favor those whom are unprepared to try and travel along its surface…

Kihia passed by it and thrusted Icarus quickly in and out of the side of the boar making it whine in pain. Kihia then skated around and then jumped high into the air and slammed Icarus down onto the head of the boar knocking it out cold. Kihia nodded and look towards where the horse was, it was practically cowering at the corner of the glacier and the cliff wall, “Axel see what you can do in terms of calming the Houyhnhnm down… I will knock out the remain wolves to the best of my ability…” Kihia then turned his attention to the wolves whom had quickly found their footing and were barking and growling at the glacier. Some of them then turn to Kihia and bared their fangs, “If you want to take you anger out on me… so be it… but I will not take your lives in the process… you are the guardians of this forest… and I will respect that…”

Kihia then started to skate at them at the same time a good bunch of them started to run at him, I can relate… to these wolves… they are only driven to protect their home… and their families… what right do I have… to take that away from this magnificent forest…?

After Axel killed half of the wolves, he watched as Kihia blocked out the entrance of the cave and mad a huge wall made of ice so that no animal could escape. Kihia then told Axel to go calm down the hoarse that could not escape the area since it could not fly. As Axel went toward the hoarse, he watched as Kihia knocked the wolves out, instead of killing them. he also talked, saying things like him not wanting to take there lives, since they were guardians of the forest and whatnot. It made Axel feek just a little bit wrong about killing the wolves, but that did not mean he was not going to keep doing it. he knew these wolves would jump at killing anyone who went into there territories. They did not care for anyone but themselves, and would not hesitate to kill the smallest child if they needed to. Animals like this needed to be killed. Axel understood how Kihia thought, that he had no right to kill these wolves that just wanted to keep there land safe, but Axel thought outside of that, and realized that maybe they took lives for fun, and whenever they could, using protecting the forest as an excuse. They were just animals, so no one could tell there true feelings, but Axel was sure his theory was correct, and did not care how others viewed the situation.

Axel walked calmly to the hoarse who was desperately trying to run up the cliff wall, not being able to. He probably did not even know that if he was even able to get up there, the entrance to the cave was blocked off by ice. There was no way Axel would be able to get close to the hoarse without getting hurt, but he would try to anyway. As Axel neared up on the hoarse from the side, it got spooked when it saw Axel, thus he began to run the direction opposite Axel, and he kicked his feet out, kicking Axel directly in the stomach. Axel groaned and held on to his stomach as if it was about to be torn from him. Of course, the kick did not deal fatal damage, but it still hurt a little. The hoarse ran right next to the walls of the Ice that kept it inside, and continuously ran in a circle, obviously not knowing what to do next. Axel also did not know what to do. He could not get a hold of the hoarse if it kept running in circles. That is when Axel had an ideal. he would wait until the hoarse tired itself out, then he would capture it. After a few minutes, the hoarse's speed dropped enormously, looking as if it was walking. Axel then decided to jump on the hoarse, getting in a riding position. The hoarse was too tired to object, and followed where Axel told him to go. They stopped next to a cliff wall, then Axel got off of the horse, and began to pet it. He has been around a few horses before, so he knew how to calm them down, and they would fully be in his control after he petted them. Axel now had the Hoarse completely calm, just waiting for Kihia to finish his fight.

Kihia charged at the seven wolves as they tried to pounce on him. Kihia sidestepped the one who had reached him first and struck him on the wolf’s back knocking him onto the ground. As the wolves tried to attack him on their first attempts, he managed to sidestep each one and strike them somewhere knocking each one to the ground. As they slid past him Kihia nodded and looked towards the horse and Axel, Good… it seems he had managed to calm it down… now we just gotta get it out of here safely… Kihia watched as the wolves slowly got up from their attack failing against Kihia.

Kihia then executed a clockwise spin hitting each of the wolves on their head. He watched as they slid back and seemed to be unconscious. Kihia nodded and then went and sheathed Icarus, and started to skate over to Axel and the Horse. “Good work Axel… now we just got to get him to the scheduled rendezvous point…” Kihia gently smiled and place his left hand on the horse’s snout gently petting it. The horse shook Kihia’s hand off and snorted, You don’t like me it seems… well I cannot exactly blame you for that… I did destroy a section of your home to capture you… not to mention giving you a scare of a life time… Kihia chuckled a bit and then looked to the glacier he had created, I guess you can come down now… since our target is no longer wanting to run away at this present time…

Kihia channeled a bit of his magical power into the ground causing the glacier he had used to seal off the area fade away. He nodded and turned to Axel, “Let’s get a move on then…” However when Kihia turned back around his jaw dropped slightly, there standing where the other side of the glacier was ten wolves, a boar and a familiar little glowing creature who seemed to be poking it’s head out from behind a frozen tree, Great… we have company… and they brought a fairy with them this time as well… Kihia sighed and began to skate forward when roots from underneath the ice sheet sprang up and wrapped around Kihia. His right eyebrow twitched out of annoyance and embarrassment, After all the trouble I go through to make sure the fairies still had animals to protect them… they had to go and tie me up… the bad thing is… I can’t even reach the Geruks at the moment… He sighed and glanced over to Axel, “I am sorry… but it seems I may be… preoccupied for a few moments… I trust you will be able to protect the Houyhnhnm…” Kihia then turned back around and faced the small animal army in front of them, he then noticed the fairy’s light aura bobbing up and down, Is that fairy… laughing at me… oh why do I even bother sometimes being nice… Kihia then started to squirm and reach the Geruks, however he was having a hard time.

Once Kihia was finished with the wolves, he took down the Ice barrier, so them and the horse went forward to get to the waypoint, were the horse would then heal the client. Once they saw what was beyond the barrier, however, they stopped. Ten Wolves and a Boar stood there, facing them, waiting to eat them alive. Axel was furious at this point. Ever since they got to the mountains, the animals had been trying to kill Axel and Kihia non-stop. Kihia has been nice to the animals by putting them to sleep, but Axel knew that would not help them whatsoever. The animals were vicious, and would not stop terrorizing others. Axel was done with them, and wanted to tear there teeth from there mouths. According to Axel's twisted sense of justice, the animals needed to die, so they could no longer do any bad.

Axel gathered intense amounts of wind in the area, and began to coat himself in it, making it so no one could see his body, just a massive amount of wind. "Finally going to unleash all of your wrath on these pitiful excuses for animals?" said Ragna, only Axel being able to hear him because the wind blotted out everything him or Axel said. "Hell yes I am. This is all justified, just to let you know. All of the terror they would cause in the future, I am preventing that," said Axel. His version of justice that day had changed, to form some type of darker justice. Not many people would justify killing animals, but Axel would. In his world, anything could be a threat if he saw a reason for it. As Axel's hate grew, however, Ragna became stronger, and there wasn't much time before he would be able to control Axel, as he wanted to.

Two wolves came forward, ready to strike Kihia, but Axel got in front of him, hovering right above the floor so he could go faster. Axel was now in front of the two wolves, who cowered while facing the extreme amounts of wind constantly gathering around Axel to keep his form. Axel kicked the wolf on the left with a side kick, and the impact of the wind mad him get launched back several yards until he hit a tree. You could see the blood on the tree even from where Axel was. The wolf tried to move after tat, but he died shortly after, from too much blood loss. The second wolf backed up again, but then regained confidence and came running towards Axel. He jumped towards Axel's face, but with the swing of an arm, Axel rejected the wolf, and with the impact of wind he went back to the ground with a thump. He got back up and attempted the same move on Axel, but this time, Axel gave an upwards kick, with so much wind behind the kick it sent the wolf flying, and it was no longer seen afterwards. Two more wolves came, but with a punch or two, Axel sent them flying towards trees as well. They were probably dead from the impact.

Kihia squirmed trying to get out of the bundle of roots the fairy had caused to shoot up from the ground, I am tightly bound… making it hard for me to reach Icarus… but I may be able to reach Geruko and Geruka… Kihia started to slowly move his hands to inside of his trench coat to grab the Geruks, I am almost there… just a little more… Got them… Kihia nodded and slowly pull them out of their sheathes, he angled one end of each of the Geruks against the roots, “Ice Make… Dual Swordbreakers!” The swords formed off of the Geruks and cut through the roots, Kihia smiled and started to try and swing the ice swords in a manner that would allow him to escape the root trap he had been put in. Kihia swung both swords creating an X shaped cut on the front of the root prison.

Kihia slowly stepped out of the remains of the root prison, “Well… at least that is finally done with…” He then looked and saw how Axel was doing, he had casted a spell on himself that wrapped winds around him, and he was fighting the animals full on, with enough force to kill them, It seems… that he and I hold two very different opinions on what we do to the animals… Kihia looked at the two ice swords he was now holding and dispelled the ice blades, I however… will still follow my own path… Kihia skated forward full speed, “Ice Make… Pole!” Kihia felt has the Geruks got heavier from the two meter long ice poles that formed on both of them, he skated between four of the wolves, and spun around striking each one of them with the ice poles. Kihia stopped spinning and stood there as the ice poles shattered, he watched as the wolves fell down unable to get up and nodded. However he then heard the ice in front of him begin to crack and bulge, What in the… A road of roots erupted out from the ground and led to the boar. “Wonderful…” Kihia watched as the boar charged straight at Kihia on the path of roots on of the fairies had just created. He quickly sheathed the Geruks and braced himself to try and catch the massive boar coming straight for him.

The boar rammed into Kihia who had managed to grab onto the boars tusks and got pushed back as the boar charged. Kihia struggled to plant his feet on the ground to try force the boar to start slowing down. The boar had started to run towards a tree that was frozen over, with the aid of the fairy that was doing a very good job of keeping itself hidden. They crashed through the tree, Kihia yelled out in pain but understood why they went through the tree, The ice must have made the tree very easy to break… which is why when the boar reached it the trunk snapped like a twig… Oh I am going to feel that later on…

'Monster Dice' :

Axel watched as Kihia knocked four wolves unconscious, and went toe to toe with the Boar. Axel liked ho Kihia fought with his ice magic. being able to fight like that, without killing a single thing was interesting to Axel. Of course, he could do that too, but he now intended to kill. There were now two wolves left, a boar, and two small things with wings. Axel realized that they were fairies. 'What the hell are fairies doing here? Oh, don't tell me we messed with there home too,' said Axel. He was really beginning to think every creature used the intruders excuse to mess with others, Of course, Axel was not going to kill fairies, because they looked exactly like humans, but smaller. It was the animalshe was furious at anyway. Axel ran towards the last wolves, who stood in place, cowering because of what Axel did to the other wolves. Axel was almost at there location, when both fairies got near him, and all of a sudden, two vines sprung up from the ground and wrapped themselves around Axel's arms. The wolves saw that Axel was now open to attack, and ran towards him. The thing the creatures did not know, is that since Axel was covered in wind, he basically had the power to move anything. He channeled the wind in his arms to burst, destroying the vines restraining him. The wind then gathered itself back around Axel's arms so he could still be covered. As the wolves were next to Axel, he lifted both of his feet up in an upwards kick, sending both of the wolves out of sight. Axel was hovering now, since his feet were off the ground. He looked and saw that Kihia was still handling his fight with the boar.

The fairies seemed more mad than before now. Axel had gotten himself out of there trap, and defeated the wolves they tried to protect. Axel realized that maybe the fairies were mad at Axel because he was killing the animals of the forest. If that was the case, Axel could do nothing about it. he was not going to apologize, because he thinks he did the right thing. Axel attempted to swat them away, but as he walked towards them, more vines came from the ground, trapping him. He destroyed them every time, but the vines would not stop. Every time he got free, he got restrained again. It was not until a full two minutes that Axel regained his speed, and with a hand, gently swatted the fairies, throwing them farther into the sky. They regained posture, and once they seemed to stick there tongue out at Axel, they left. It seemed there was a fairy next to Kihia still, but Axel was going to let him finish that one, and the boar. Axel stopped manipulating the wind around him, and his body was now see-able. He went to check on the horse, and it was still in the same place. It seemed like it now trusted Axel and Kihia.

Kihia grimaced as he was kept being pushed back by the boar, This boar has certainly has a great deal experience when it comes to this… Kihia slowly looked behind him and saw that the boar was full on charging straight for it, This is not good! This boar seriously intends on crashing into the cliff wall using me as a cushion! Kihia turned his head back around and stared at the boar, “If you wana play rough… well let’s see where that takes you shall we?” Kihia focused on his sense of touch for his feet waiting for the right moment to initiate is counter attack against the boar.

Kihia eventually felt the signature uneven ground that was near the cliff side, he nodded and kicked off the ground at the last second. Kihia flipped over and on top of the boar as it crashed into the ice covered cliff wall. Kihia nodded and kneeled on the boar as he watched cracks form outward on the ice sheet in all directions. He frowned as he saw large chunks of ice start falling down from the cliff wall, when Kihia saw a few large pieces of the ice sheet break off directly above them and start falling their direction he frowned. I will make sure this boar doesn’t die… not by my hands… or any side result of my magic… He then reached around and unsheathed Icarus from his back. Kihia then held Icarus above his head and said, “Ice Make… Ringed Shield!!”

Kihia watched as the large sheet of ice come down towards them as the shield formed, Please finish in time… Kihia wasn’t sure how this ordeal was going to turn out, but he was going to try and make sure at the very least the boar he was standing on would not die. He smiled when the ice shield managed to finish forming right before the ice sheet reach him and the boar. Kihia closed his eyes and felt the massive impact that landed on top of the shield. He heard the sound of shattering ice all around him and just waited out the fall out of the effects of his cryo explosion coming to an end.

After a long moment Kihia heard the sounds of crashing ice cease around him, and opened his eyes to see what became of his surroundings and the boar he was still standing on. He looked around and saw that there was a large amount of elongated craters and gashes on the ground from where the shards of the ice sheets landed on the ground. Kihia looked back at his ice shield and saw that it was barely there from the amount of force crashed on it. Kihia sighed and then looked at the boar, it had passed out from the fear and shock of what just happened, Sleep easy now… come time when you wake up… all this will be behind you… Kihia then dispelled his ice shield and walked over to Axel, “Sorry for the scare… but we have a job to finish…”

Axel looked as Kihia had made the boar he was fighting crash into the cliff wall, while he was riding him. He also saw large clumps of ice fall down from the cliff wall, and was shocked that Kihia shielded the boar, when he was trying to kill him. If it were Axel, he would have jumped out of the way, but it was not him. Axel was not fond of how Kihia did things that would protect even enemies, but all in all, he enjoyed his time with him, searching for the horse, and fighting. He hoped that he could do another job with him after they finished this one. The job was pretty much done now, since the horse was by Axel's side, and all the wolves and boars were either unconscious or dead. "So, Kihia, good job buddy. I guess all we have to do now is get to the edge of the forest, and get the horse to do it's magic and whatnot. I will be so happy to see this animal give back the life of a man who is almost dead. Regardless of what you have seen me do here, I have a heart, and I use it to protect people," said Axel. He motioned for Kihia to come along, as he and the horse began to walk.

"Hmmm, you did great today, though, you need a little more hatred in your kills," said Ragna, in a whisper so that Kihia could not hear him. "Why? So you could control my body for your own? Not going to happen. I only did what i did because those Animals wouldn't have stopped at us," whispered Axel. Ragna ould never stop attempting to take control of Axel, and Axel would never stop stopping Ragna from controlling him. He knew too much of what a demon was capable of. He came near the horse, and began petting it. All of the sudden, a bright green aura began glowing around the horse and the man, and the man began to look healthy again. Once the aura stopped, the man dropped the walking stick and started running around happily.

Or if you come across a bear who is protecting her cubs? They finally reached to the very edge of the forest near where they first arrived, there they saw two carriages with a sickly man walking up to them, Kihia nodded in greeting as the man quickly hobbled over to them. He expressed how happy he was to them for finding the Houyhnhnm. Kihia watched as the Houyhnhnm started to glow and spread out its pollen letting it flow towards their client. He watched as the client inhaled the pollen and seemed to start getting better almost immediately. This forest is truly wondrous… it is a home to many rare animals… some if people knew the existence of their way of life would be disrupted due to the influx of people…

They then watched as the man ran around the clearing cheering and celebrating that he had been healed. Kihia turned to the Houyhnhnm and nodded, You work is done here friend… thank you for your time… The horse snorted a bit and bent his head down gesturing towards Kihia’s right side. Kihia gently smiled and shook his head no, the Houyhnhnm snorted and then took off back into the depths of the forest, I am sorry friend… there is nothing in this world that could give me my arm back… even if there was… it is fifteen years to late… Kihia nodded and turned back to Axel and nodded, he then saw the client walk back up to them and handed them both a bag of jewels, “Thank you so much for this, I will never forget what you did for me and I wish you safe travels!”

Kihia watched as the client walked into his own carriage and leave, he then looked at Axel and said, “Well it is best to be off then… I look forward to working with you again Axel…”
