Hunt For The Healer (Axel;Kihia)

Axel got up in the morning to an empty house. For weeks it had been quiet, since the only one inside the house was Axel. He had to cook alone, which was hard, because he barely kne how, he had clean the house alone, which was also hard because he was always busy ith Rune Knight work or something else, and the worst part, he had to eat alone. Everytime Axel was inside of his house, he felt madly depressed, because it was one thing that the house was missing, family. After his sisters killed there father, the Rover household has been home to one, as Julie and Julia fled Magnolia after there evil deed. Axel could never forgive them for it, and almost felt like he wanted to kill them. They were related to him by blood, but as far as Axel were concerned, they were no longer family. Especially since they mentioned something about joining a dark guild. That made Axel had dark guilds even more. Axel put on clothes, made breakfast, ate, then left the house.

It was Axel's day off from working as a Rune Knight, and he was glad, because he didn't have to fly all the way to era. Actually, Axel was thinking about moving there, since almost all knights did. He did not want to stay in that accursed house anymore. He agreed with himself that he would pack his things and begin to live in Era the next week. upon walking around Magnolia, Axel saw a job form put up on an outside job board meant for the guildless. He felt he needed to do a job to get his family out of his mind. He looked at the job, and knew he should take it, since the details spoke of finding a special creature that could heal a dying man. If it was anything Axel loved other than books, it was saving other people. On the bottom of the job form it showed were the other copies of the job form had been sent. Of course, Axel read the locations, since it would be best to get help. the locations were the Fairy Tail guildhall and the Lamia scale guildhall. Axel would never show himself to the Fairy Tail Guildhall ever again, since he would feel to much pain, so he decided to fly to the Lamia Scale guild. He has never been there, but he knew which city it was in, Hargeon Town. He had been in Hargeon a few times, so he knew his way around it.

Axel arrived in Hargeon, and began asking for directions to Lamia Scale. Some kind lady directed him to the guild, and taking a deep breath, Axel opened the door. "Hello, Lamia Scale. I have been told your guild has a job form about finding a rare creature. Perhaps one of you would like to join me?" Axel asked. If he was rejected, Axel would just go to another guild. His partner did not exactly need another job form, but Axel went to Lamia Scale because maybe one of there members already read the job enough to accept Axel's request. Of course, that would mean the person already set out for the request, but Axel was putting his bet on that person still being at the guild.

Kihia walked out of his room and locked the door, he had accepted a job that involved capturing an animal with healing properties in the forests at the base of the Phoenix Mountains. Kihia had been there a number of times at this point but he hadn’t traversed the forests around the mountains. He sighed and started to walk down the hallway, he had his typical gear and outfit on, he had a small bag slung around his back that had the supplies he needed for the journey. Kihia walked passed a number of his fellow guild members and nodded at them, he then reached the main hall and looked around. It was time for another job, he looked around the Guild hall he had grown so familiar with, it was a typical day, there were various members talking to each other and others going on jobs. Kihia then saw the doors open up from someone coming in.

He didn’t recognize the man at first, but after a moment he remembered he had met this mage somewhere before. "Hello, Lamia Scale. I have been told your guild has a job form about finding a rare creature. Perhaps one of you would like to join me?" Kihia studied the man for a moment then it hit him, I met him at the Annual Guildmaster’s meeting… I believe his name was… Axel? Kihia waited a moment longer and then walked up to Axel nodding his head in greeting. “Hello there, I believe it was Axel? A mage from Fairy Tail?... Welcome to the Lamia Scale Guild hall…” He paused for a moment thinking of Axel’s request, Is he talking about the same mission I was about to embark on…? Kihia waited for a moment and then continued, “If the job you are asking about… is the one to capture an Houyhnhnm… I will accompany you on this mission as well… In fact… the arranged transport to the Phoenix mountains should be arriving soon…” Kihia walked out of the Guild hall and motioned Axel to come with him. Outside in the square a boar carriage had pulled up and was waiting on Kihia. He always found riding in these relaxing, These carriages always help me relax before a job… He then looked back at the Lamia Scale Guild Hall, I will be back… eventually… I will be sure to uphold the Guilds honor… He then turned back to the carriage and climbed in, he watched Axel get in the carriage and after a moment he felt the carriage start to move. He looked at Axel and studied him for a moment, he didn’t get to talk to the mage much at the Guild master’s meeting, primarily due to the meeting had started shortly after they were introduced. Kihia then spoke up, “So… Axel how has things been going for you in Fairy Tail?” Kihia had never been one to hear news about other Guilds, mainly due he was always busy watching over the main hall or on Jobs.

Axel's question got a quick reply from a man saying that he will accompany Axel on the job. Once the man got closer, Axel realized he met him before somewere, but he could not put a finger on it. Was it.... another town? hmmm, maybe we did a job before... the vulcan job? No, that was kaligos.. maybe the job were I had to find the lost treasure of the wizard saint? no, that was Shaku and Kichiro.... wait a sec... it was the guildmaster's meeting! thought Axel. Right as he was going to say something, the man, Kihia, already told Axel of his name and were they met. Also, up until now, Axel did not match the title of Frozen Knight with Kihia. He was known for his Ice Magic, and he would be rather helpful in the job. Kihia guided Axel outside, talking about a transport that would be on it's way to the Lamia Scale guild. After a few minutes, Axel saw a boar carriage pull up in front of the guild. Kihia got in, then Axel. Once they were properly seated, the carriage began to move.

While the carriage began to move, Kihia asked Axel about how Fairy Tail was. Clearly he didn't realise Axel had left, but it''s not like Axel announced it to the world, so he had understood that Kihia still thought he was a Fairy Tail member. "Well, Kihia, I left Fairy Tail about a week ago. Too many reasons why, but let's not get into that. Since then, I have become a Rune Knight. We might not exactly take the "Family" theme as guilds do, but we do whatever we can to protect the people of Fiore. If I could help anyone, of course I would take the job, so i have become a Rune Knight. Sure you can argue that guilds help people as well, but they are typically just mercenaries without a main goal. I was tired of feeling that way, so I left Fairy Tail. There are multiple other reasons, but I will leave you off with just that." said Axel. There were multiple factors that led to Axel leaving. First was the reason he just told Kihia, second was the dragon accident that happened at the meeting, and third was the fact that his sisters went evil. He didn't have time to waste doing jobs everyday. Sure he was on a job, but as a Rune knight, he had other duties. He was really hoping he could meet his sisters again on-duty, so that he could give them what they deserve.

"Anyway, how is Lamia Scale? Do you love it there? If you do,  I hope you hold on to it, unlike what I did with Fairy Tail," Axel said, remembering that he himself felt bad everyday for leaving his former guild, as if he made the wrong choice, even though he himself thought he made the right choice. "Also, if you didn't know, I am a Wind Mage, and I use the magic in a various amount of ways. hat about you?" asked Axel.

Kihia studied Axel after hearing he had left Fairy Tail, “Your reasons are your own… what I can decide on you whom I barely know… for leaving your guild?” Kihia paused for a moment letting those words sink in for a bit, contemplating how to answer Axel’s questions to him. “I am enjoying myself at Lamia Scale… Although I may not seem like it I do… My teacher… had told me to join Lamia Scale shortly before he died, although at the time I questioned his judgment a little… but I have come to see why I sent me here…” Kihia paused for a moment looking down at his right arm, Even though I was so horrible at first… he helped heal my wounds and set me on the right path… words can never be enough to thank him… Kihia then looked at Axel, “I will cherish this guild, and I will defend it… to keep the vow I live by… and to protect those whom I care about…” Kihia paused for a moment more, he had fully decided this after reaching the status of a B rank status mage.

Kihia then reached around and picked up Icarus and held one end out to Axel, “As for my magic, I use a… unique style of Ice make magic… I channel my magical power into my weapons… and manifest my spells on them and turn them into a different weapon or item to suit my needs… Icarus and my other weapon set, The Geruks naturally let a mages magical power flow into them… aiding the channeling process…” Kihia waited for a moment letting Axel grab hold of Icarus if he wanted to test out the feature. After a moment he withdrew Icarus and laid it next to him in the carriage. Kihia then reached into his bag and pulled out a large scroll of paper. Kihia then held his left hand out level with the floor of the carriage and then formed a small table out of Ice between them(1% MP used). He then placed the paper on the table and unrolled it unveiling it to be a map of the Phoenix Mountains.

“We need to discuss how exactly we are going to try and capture this animal… from what I have studied on it… from what I can… I should say… it is very elusive being able to run through a forest with a very quick pace… This makes it hard to catch… and I have read unconfirmed reports of it being able to teleport… We need to find an area that we can try and corral or trap it…” Kihia studied the map intently, he had a number of spells that suited this task perfectly, due to the fact when he is fighting other people… he doesn’t try and kill them… only to incapacitate… “I can create barrier’s in a location that could trap the animal in a confined area and try and calm it down for transport… but that’s only a theory…”

Axel listened to Kihia as he told him about how he had a master that teached him Ice Magic, and before he died, he told Kihia to join Lamia Scale, and how he questioned the decision for a while, then finally started to enjoy himself. For Axel, it was his mother that inspired him to be in Fairy Tail, since she was in the guild herself. Axel trained hard with his mother until she died, in which he began training himself. Years after training, he joined Fairy Tail, and his story truly began from there. Some twists and turns led him to the Rune Knights, and since he did it before, Axel did not want to leave another group again. Kihia then told Axel how he can mold ice as well as channel his magic power into weapons. Two of which are named Icarus and Garuks. Kihia even let Axel toy with Icarus, which was a pole arm shaft, for a bit. Axel took hold of the weapon and attempted to channel his power into it. Feeling something happening, Axel stuck the weapon out of the window to watch Axel's wind magic come out through it. Of course, only a tiny gust of wind came out, since Axel never used a weapon such as it.

Axel put the weapon down, then watched as Kihia made a small table made of ice, and put a map on it. He talked of how him and Axel needed a plan to capture the healing animal. Kihia heard that the animal can run around the forest in a very fast pace, and probably even teleport. Axel knew he would have a hard time with this job if the animal was super quick, but he could get fast himself. The thing was, he did not exactly know how fast this animal could travel. "Ok then, sounds like a plan. I recently learned a spell that allows me to basically push the animal out of an area. You could maybe stand at the end of that spell and wait for it to come to you, then you use your ice to trap it. A warning though, as my spell may cause a bit of harm to the animal. I see this as not really a problem though, because if this specimen can really heal a dying man, it could probably heal itself. I may be wrong, but if it can run and teleport fast, we need a sure plan to stop him," said Axel.

"How about we just kill the animal. If it can heal people, maybe eating it's meat can help the man, than we can eat the remains, hehe," said Ragna, the demon residing within Axel's sword. It spoke in Axel's mind, so Kihia did not know of it's existence yet. "When the hell did you get the power to speak to me telepathically? Well anyway, we are not taking any chances. If you want to kill something, get the hell out of my life and go infest some dark mage," said Axel in his mind. Ragna began to quiet afterwards, not seeming to want to get in an argument with Axel today.

Kihia sat and contemplated on Axel’s idea for a moment, “That could work…” Kihia looked down onto the map and examined the border of the forest to the mountain range. Kihia looked along and then saw a cliff wall marked right along the forest, it was a natural indentation in the cliff side, I could close that off… trusting that there isn’t a cave… Kihia then put his hand on the map pointing out the location, “When we arrive… we should check out this Cliffside… if this area only that one opening as an entrance… we can trap it there…” Kihia continued contemplating this idea for the remained of the ride there…

Kihia picked up map and dispelled the Ice table, he placed the map in his bag picked it up and then reached over and picked up Icarus. Kihia then got up and walked out of the carriage. He looked around to get a bearing of where they were. He looked up at the mountains and where the sun was. “We must be at the southwestern edge of the forest… which means the cliff side we talked about is northwest of us… If we find it that it will be suitable to trap it in there… our next task would be to find it…” Kihia reached around with Icarus and placed it in its sheathe on his back, however the idea is simple getting there is a different matter… Axel can easily fly there and check things out as I am in route on the ground however him finding me again is a different matter… Kihia looked at the air mage, he knew he could trust him and depend on him. Kihia walked up to a nearby tree placing his left hand on it getting a feel with how strong it was structurally. He nodded when he felt that the trees were indeed very strong and healthy, he then turned to his companion studying him once more.

“What route you take is up to you, I am sure you can spot out the area with ease from the air and scout it out much faster than I can get there myself… If you want to go that route you can… I can easily navigate through the forest at a good pace… however if I encounter the target or any trouble in route… I will freeze a nearby tree top to signal where I am… but if you wish to travel together we can…” Kihia paused for a long moment waiting for a response from Axel, he then turned his attention to the forest listening to it, The sounds of this forest are quiet but there are still cries being emitted from birds… and larger animals in there… but the creature we are looking for may not be so easy to find at first… He nodded and looked up at the sky getting a fix with how the weather was and what time of day it was, this mission will prove most interesting…

After Axel spoke of his ideal of how to capture the Houyhnhnm, Kihia said he liked it, then spoke of the layout of the forest. The mountains ended with a cliff, and below that, was were the forest began. The carriage stopped, and they were now in the forests of the Phoenix Mountain, were the legendary animal was supposed to be. Kihia told Axel that what route he took was up to him, and also gave him the option of traveling with him, but Axel figured that it would be faster if they split up. Axel headed northwest to the cliff, were he would scope out the area in search for the Houyhnhnm. Instead of flying, he decided to walk there, because if he flew straight to the mountain range, it would be harder for him to spot the Houyhnhnm on the ground. As he walked around, Axel was fascinated by the scenery of the forest, with the long trees ranging from oak to apple to lemon trees, and even more! Axel pulled a lemon off of one of the trees and began to pill it, taking huge bites out of the lemon that made his eyes wince after every bite. Axel did not eat as much fruit as he should, in fact he didn't really eat as much food in general. He grabbed some snacks from home to eat, but other than that, he doesn't really eat. He also does not need to have good food, but just something that can fill his stomach.  

Once Axel got to the wall of the cliff, he heard noise up above that sounded like animals. Wondering if it was the Houyhnhnm. Axel ascended to the skies. Half-way up the wall, there was a huge opening in the wall that seemed like the the entrance to a cave. Axel descended to the floor of the now confirmed cave, and it was oddly bright, with a narrow tunnel, probably leading into a more open setting within the cave. Axel went closer into the cave, and the deeper he went in, the louder the animal noises got, and this time, Axel knew for sure that there was more than one. Knowing that the Houyhnhnm was probably not in the cave after all since there would not be more than one, Axel turned around and began to walk out of the cave, but suddenly two animals came running toward Axel from behind him. He did a dodge roll, and once he got back up, he saw two wolves. They began running towards him again, and he ran back inside the cave, trying not to get bitten. Axel ran until he fond himself in a huge open area in the cave.

There was a huge hole at the top of the cave, were the sunlight from outside could shine brightly. The inside of the cave now seemed to be a mini-forest, with trees and bushes. The Wolves behind Axel began to stop, and so Axel thought he could then make a quick get away, but was then confronted by two more wolves that appeared in front of him. This pack of wolves had him surrounded, and the worse part, was that they were not the only ones around.  behind the three wolves, twenty yards away, was a giant boar, that easily was two times bigger than the boars that took Axel to the forest via carriage. Axel had no way to alert Kihia of his predicament, so all he could do was fight.

'Monster Dice' :

Kihia watched as Axel decided to take his own path, he simply nodded as he was indeed choosing his own path, and Kihia had no objections about it. He must be going the high route on the ground… not a bad idea… I myself will stick with the low road… Kihia shifted his gear and then took started walking into the forest, Hopefully… I won’t experience too much of an issue traversing this forest… but something tells me… that this forest has many hidden dangers with in it… Now that I think about it… I should have said this to Axel… Kihia then shook his head to escape this thinking process and then entered into the forest.

As Kihia walked he kept track of the normal noises that went on around him, as well as the normal tree pattern. He kept walking for a while uninterrupted, making sure to look up at the sky to get an idea of his location whenever he reached a patch of open sky. After a while however… started to notice something off about the surround noise, Are those whispers…? This forest… what all lurks in it…? Kihia kept walking as he heard the sound of something whispering nearby increased. He stopped when he noticed the trees along his path had started bend over and the branches formed. Kihia’s right eyebrow twitched a bit, is this some kind of a trick… to scare me off and prevent me from traversing this forest… well it isn’t going to work… Kihia looked behind him at an old Oak tree, he nodded and then ran towards it picking up a fair amount of momentum, when he reached the base of the tree he jumped high up so he could reach one of the branches. He then used it as a spring board to let him climb higher and higher, until he had reached the top of the tree.

Kihia then looked and saw his destination and then jumped off the tree towards a tree in the direction of the cliff wall he had spotted. When he reached it Kihia jumped off of its trunk towards the next tree, he heard the whispers below him pick back up, Hmmm they seem to have not liked this… whatever they are… He then saw the trees along his current path start to bend out of his jumping reach, he frowned, So that’s how they want to play it… Kihia then started to descend as he jumped between the trees, he managed to get to a level where the trees couldn’t bend in time to get out of his way, however the branches started to move again, I should be getting close to the cliff wall… He then jumped back down onto the ground and took off towards the Cliff side, the whispers began to fade behind him, I guess I am done with whatever that was for now… Kihia then noticed the cliff wall he had spotted just beyond the trees, “I have made it…” He looked around the area, There doesn’t seem to be any caves at this level… how about up above?... Kihia then went to start climbing a tree again and eventually got to the top, he scanned the upper part of the cliff wall and saw a cave that had its exit perilously high, Well that won’t be much of a threat…

'Monster Dice' :

Axel thought about his options while he was surrounded by the aggresive animals of the forest ithin the cave. They did not seem to attack Axel, but instead waited for him to move. Each wolf had stood away from Axel ten yards, with the Boar being fifteen yards away now. They probably waqnted to make sure Axel had no where to run, because if he did, the wolves ould close whatever gap Axel runs through and effortlessly kill him. Sure, Axel was a mage, but that did not mean the animals of nature could not have him as lunch. Axel knew this, and was really nervous. He usually did not wish to fight animals, since they are not bandits or thugs who would attack for selfish purposes. They usually fight to protect there young, and to eat. They must have seen Axel as an intruder when they heard his footsteps walking into the cave. Axel remained calm in body language, trying to show the wolves he would not attack, until the worst thing imaginable occured. Ragna spoke.

"Hey, you stupid wolves! Axel is about to kill you, using me, the alpha wolf! That's right! Wolf-type demon speaking! You will all die, then your stupid cubs, and there is nothing you can do to stop us!" said Ragna. The wolves began howling. "What the hell is the matter with you, Ragna? Do you realise we were seconds away from getting out without fighting! You always have to do stupid things! I hope if I die, they chew this sword to bits, with you still in it!" shouted Axel, not controlling his voice because he already knew the wolves were plotting an assault. "You will thank me for this later. These animals will be your warm-ups, to help you train your combat more. You haven't fought anything for a while, so this will help you get back on your game," said Ragna. Axel ignored him.

The first timber wolf in front of Axel came running towards him, showing his many sharp teeth. Axel pulled out his MISfortune blade, raised it in the air, took a running start and made a downward slash towards the wolf, but of course he dodged it by moving to the left side of Axel. He was now behind Axel and went in to bite at his back, but Axel did a quick turn and instead of biting Axel, he got a mouth full of his blade, blood gushing from the inside, which sent the Wolf running back into formation. Before He was able to safely make it, however, Axel caught up to him and made another downward slash, effectively leaving the wolf in a pool of blood on the floor, dead.

Axel felt bad that he had to kill an animal, but he had to in order to survive. Axel was now out of the circle of the wolves and away from the boar as well. He wondered why the wolves didn't help the wolf Axel just killed. Maybe he gestured for them to stand back as he tried to show that he was the alpha wolf of the group. That ended in failure. the remaining four wolves were now close to eachother, running towards Axel. The boar stayed in place.

Kihia thought he heard growling and barking coming from the mouth of the cave, but wasn’t entirely sure. Kihia was about to proceed in getting up there to investigate when the tree he was on begun to sway back and forth at an increasing rate, please don’t tell more of those whispering creatures are back… Kihia then had to dismount the tree falling back to the ground, he landed and then noticed he was surrounded by five wolves, it seems they have brought company… While in the kneeling position, Kihia quietly reached into his trench coat and unsheathed Geruko and Geruka, “If you all are intent on protecting your land so be it… and I shall not take your lives in the process…”

Kihia then sprang up into the air as the wolves all lunged at him all at once, “Ice… Make… Twin Shields!” The shields fully formed as he fell back down, the wolves had backed up after they had collided into one another. As soon as Kihia landed two wolves lunged at him, he countered acted this by executing a clockwise spin. He slammed the shields into the two wolves that had lunged at him knocking them off course while dazing them. The wolves that hadn’t attacked again went and acted as shields for their fallen companions, Very Honorable of you… Kihia watched as the two wolves he had hit slowly got up. He nodded and waited for their move.

The wolf pack started to circle Kihia in hopes of disorienting him, he simply stood there, listening for when they will try there next attack. Then they started, three wolves lunged at him in sequential order, Kihia reacted by stepping towards the first wolf and slamming the shield held in his left hand down onto the animal. He then turned around and blocked the other two with the shields and followed up by slamming both shields on them as they landed. The two standing wolves were the ones who had tried to attack Kihia first, they hesitated and then lunged at Kihia. He frowned and repeated the same maneuver this time with enough force to send them flying into nearby trees.

The wolves fell down unconscious as Kihia jumped away from the remaining wolves a good distance, he then noticed that vines started to grow rapidly all around him forming a large cage around him, I can’t believe… I just let myself fall right into this trap… He looked around for a moment studying the walls of the vine cage. The vines were so thick that not light shown through, but he had a good idea on how to break out, This is still extremely embarrassing… if I ever find what is causing the forest to act weird so help me… Kihia then put the ice shields on the ground and reached around and unsheathed Icarus from its sheath, I am sorry to do this to the plants of the forest… but now I have little choice in the matter… Kihia nodded as he begun to spin Icarus, this will be an interesting break out.

'Monster Dice' :

Axel saw the Timber Wolves all coming at Axel at the same, so he ran towards them. A regular person would not do this, but a regular person could not fly either. Axel quickly ascended to the skies as the wolves were about to attack him. He soared all the way to above the tallest tree, and watched the wolves look at him, wondering what they should do next. "You coward! You want to run away from the problem? If you were a man, you would stand and fight!" shouted Ragna. "That is why I find it hard to believe you still exist Ragna. You have to pick the battles you think you can win. Sure, if it was someone evil, I would nt give up, but these are animals that are only protecting there environment from me whom they consider a threat. Only scum would willingly attack the wolves. I attacked because I had no choice, but now, I have a chance to escape. All we have to do is lure the wolves here, then fly out the cave. That should.." Axel said, but stopped as he saw the wolves run toards him. They did not stand still and wait for him to come down, but instead they jumped from tree to tree, getting closer to Axel.Before he could react, one of the wolves jumped off the tallest tree, and slashed him with sharp claws that connected to the face, disrupting Axel's flying, and causing him to fall. The wolf also fell. Axel softened his fall with the wind, but was still hurt from the slash on his face, hich left a nasty mark. The wolf beside Axel was pretty damaged from the fall, and just barely was able to get up. He rushed Axel, who just began to stand, so Axel slashed the wolf with a diagonal strike of his sword. The wolf was too weak to dodge it, and in turn got a deep gash on his body, then died.

Axel also felt bad for that wolf, but he had no time think about such things, as the other three wolves got out of the trees and ran towards Axel. He knew he had to kill all three of them now, as they would not stop hunting him after what he did to the other two wolves. "Axel, you must understand that life ia just a large food-chain. It is eat or be eaten. You must not worry about any one but yourself. You may not realise that now, but you will as you progress in your life," said Ragna. "Life doesn't have to be that way though! People must protect others that can't defend themselves, because no one deserves to die! It is not like they did anything wrong! Animals may be like that, but I don't want to stoop to there level dammit!" shouted Axel. He nevr thought killiong was the answer. Axel only wishes death upon those who deserve it, like people who kill for the fun of it. He would hate himself if he ever fell down that road, and it was harder and harder to stay on the path of righteousness with a demon continuously trying to take you off that path. Axel got his sword ready as the three wolves prepared to attack him.

Kihia focused his magical power into Icarus as he spun it, “Ice Make… Ring!” He stood there as he kept spinning Icarus, he was finding the right angle on which to execute this breakout attack. He nodded and then said, “Ice Make… Spiral Blade!” The nine blades of ice shot out of the ice ring but did not extend the entire distance of the vine cage. He nodded, I expected as much… however… Kihia held the ice blade ring in a fashion where one side was angled toward the bottom of the vine cage where it touched the ground and the opposite side from it. He then started to spin Icarus at a very fast rate, while channeling a good portion of his magical power into it, the ice blade ring grew two twice its size and sliced through the vine cage with ease. This scared the remaining wolves and two little flying creatures who were hovering over the unconscious wolves. Are those… fairies?? He was flabbergasted, the existence of fairies have always been covered in mystery, he watched as they jumped and shrieked a bit and then flew off into the forest.

Kihia ignored the three wolves that were now slowly approaching him as the final piece of the ice blade ring faded away, he then sheathed it once again and turned his attention back to the three wolves in front of him. “I see why you feel obligated to defend this forest now… not only it is your home… but it is also home to some of the rarest creatures of this world…” Kihia then knelt down and picked up the ice shields again, “However… I do have a mission to complete and a man to save… but I will not take your lives as I said before…” The wolves then lunged at Kihia, which he quickly retaliated by bashing his shields into two of them and then kicking the last one in the mouth they all fell back, and slowly started to get back up, “You all are persistent I give you that much… but I like I said I have a mission to deal with.” Kihia then ran up to them and moved the grip from the Geruks to the rims of the shields, and then slammed them both on two of the wolves knocking them out.

The last wolf growled at Kihia for a moment and then rushed in to try and attack him, Kihia let it latch onto his left arm as it bite down hard. He barely winced and stared into the wolf’s eyes, his ice blue eyes staring right into the wolf’s who started to loosen his grip, “Have a good rest for now… when you wake up all of this will be over…” Kihia then brought his right fist down onto the wolf’s head knocking it out. He sighed and looked his left arm, the bite wasn’t that bad he nodded and looked around him… I wonder where Axel is at…. I hope he has found our target…

The three wolves began to run toward Axel. He as interested in there will to do whatever it took to protect there family. In a way, you could say Axel was a wolf. If he still had a family, he would do anything to keep them alive. Unfortunately, he failed to protect his father who died. "Idiot! Get out of the way!" shouted Ragna. Axel snapped back into real life to see the wolves almost right in front of him. He did a dodge-roll far enough to the left to avoid the wolves, then ran away from them for a few seconds. Axel got enough away from them to catch his breath, though the wolves were already running towards him. Axel had no ideal what to do. The wolves almost had him exhausted, and if he did not do anything quick, he would be eaten alive. He did not ant to waste his magic on animals, but now, he may have no choice. Just wehn Axel was about to cast, dark red aura cast itself around Axel. "Ragna! I can handle this! you don't have take over! I don't want you too!" shouted Axel. "Oh, face it, if you did not have me, you would die. Even if you killed the last three wolves, there is still a giant boar staring directly at you, waiting for it's turn to maul you. I need to do this if you wish to live," said Ragna. What he spoke was truth, so Axel decided to give in to Ragna's power. The power of the blade seeped through to Axel, fusing with him. To others, all they could see was a giant flash of darkness around Axel as he transformed. When the flash was gone, Axel's original form was not there. Instead, he looked more like a demon. He still had his attire on, but he was covered in red, and had appearences of that of a demon.

It was Axel's body, but most of the control was now passed over to ragna. Axel's body wan not exhausted anymore, as the added power gave him extra stamina. The Timber Wolves no looked frightened, andbacked a way at Axel's scary-looking apearence. He did not let them get away, however, as Axel came charging at the wolves. They ran, but Axel ran two times faster while being a demon. The wolves now pushed themselves into high-gear, running as fast as they possibly could, without thinking of the effects of doing so. They were chased by Axel over half the inside forest, until Axel caught one of them. He jumped on it's back, and appeared to be sitting on him. "That's right Hoarse! yipyip!" said Ragna, who now spoke for Axel's body. The wolf ran for five more seconds before he broke down. Axel stood on the wolf, jumping forward. Axel now stood over a wolf that lost all power to do anything, just laying there. He mercilessly stabbed the wolf through his heart, effectively killing him. The other two wolves were slowing down enough for Axel to close up on them, but instead of killing them, he put his sword back in it's sheath, and gathered wind around him. He focused the wind to right below each wolf, and boosted them all the way to the top of the cave, going through the hole.

They would then drop down to the cliff above the cave. They probably won't be dead, as Axel did nothing much to them, but they will run slower probably. Axel then began to stare at the Great Boar, still consumed by Ragna's powers.

Demon Mode:

Kihia heard a gust of wind come bellowing out of the cave up on the cliff wall, is that Axel…? Kihia then went and climbed up on one of the old Oak trees, he looked up and gauged the distance between where he was and the cave entrance. I should be able to reach there with ice make pole… however this is a chance for me to go too far and land on the cliff itself… he sheathed the Geruks and pulled out Icarus. He put one end of Icarus at the base of the branch he was standing on and angled towards the top of the cliff side, “Ice Make… Pole!” Kihia was launched towards the Cliffside however, before the pole fully formed, the tree he launched off of bent forward suddenly raising his trajectory. I respect the fairies as creatures… but boy they can be annoying... He then landed on the cliff top, “I did not want to end up here…” Kihia dispelled the ice pole and then looked around and got acquainted with his new surroundings.

Kihia saw that the forest had extended all the way up here, he saw that there was a hole in the ground a few feet away was a decent sized hole in the ground. That must lead to the cave… Well at least there is a second way into it… Kihia started to walk forward when he heard two yelping sounds from above him. He looked up and saw two wolves coming down from above him, they landed on the ground with a solid thud. They slowly stood up shaking their heads from their sudden flight, It must be raining wolves today… or this is Axel’s work… either way I have two wolves to deal with… Kihia looked at the wolves who had taken notice of him and bared their fangs and growled at him. “You two seem especially angry today… best not do anything too hasty…” The wolves growled and snapped at Kihia, he frowned, What on earth would have happened to cause these wolves to be so aggravated… whatever it is… I need to knock them out to protect their lives…

The wolves charged at Kihia, he quickly defended himself by slamming Icarus into both wolves, knocking them back, “Look I don’t know why you are angry but… I will not kill you…” The wolves struggled to get back up and growled at Kihia again, he frowned, It seems all the creatures in this forest are resilient and strong… driven with the desire to protect the forest… The wolves charged at him again, he countered on be thrusting Icarus at it, impacting it’s chest making it fall down. He then spun around and hit the other one on its side. The wolf was sent flying and then fell down into the hole that led into the cave. Kihia saw that both wolves had been defeated, “Now… only if I can find out where Axel is… he is late to meet up with me and discuss the capture plan…”

Axel and the Great Boar looked at each other with evil intentions. Axel would not usually look this way for an animal, since all it was doing was protecting it's family, but Ragna had taken over, so it was a different story. The boar charged at Axel with extreme force, and Axel decided to play with him, so he jumped forward, high enough to jump on the tusk and ride it like a hoarse. "How do you like this? As soon as you stepped on the battlefield, you were just a toy for Axel here to use, because you are just an animal with no real magical strength! Get some, and then we can talk," said Ragna through Axel's voice, as he rode the boar. The boar tried desperately to get Axel off, running around like crazy, kicking his legs backward, but Axel in his demon state was enough to keep himself situated on the boar. The crazy animal even bumped his head on a wall or to, but Axel would not budge. Finally, after five minutes, Axel jumped off the boar and summersaulted back on the ground in front of him. The boar took it upon himself to immediately run after Axel as soon as he landed. Axel unsheathed his sword, and swung it towards the great boar's direction five times. Every time, a curved crescent-shaped dark-wind projectile shot out of it, going at 50 MPH. Each projectile hit the boar, which sent him down. He was dead.

"Give me back my body now you jerk! We are done fighting!" shouted Axel's voice, finally coming out of his mouth. His demon appearances began to fade, until he looked himself again. "You are welcome for the help," said Ragna. He growled and then got quiet. Axel was sad that yet more animal deaths were on his hands. He now had to find Kihia, but he knew he was close when one of the wolves he pushed onto the cliff fell back down to the cave floor, dead. "Ok, let's fly up and out of here!" said Axel, as he ascended to the skies. He flew up to the hole in the cave. As soon as he landed on the cliff floor, he spotted Kihia. "There you are! I see you handled the wolves I sent up here. I had to fight my way through that cave, but I am fine nonetheless, and I did not have to use any of my magic," said Axel. "He used mines," whispered Ragna. Hoping Kihia did not hear that, Axel ignored Ragna. "Well anyway, we should keep looking for the rare animal we were sent to find. You can follow me back to the forest if you like," said Axel, as he ascended to the skies yet again. He flew down to the forest, slowly so Kihia could see were he landed. He did not know if the Ice Mage could fly, but he got up to the cliff no worriers, so Axel surely though he could get back down.

Kihia nodded at Axel as he flew back down to where Kihia had been scouting before. He watched as Axel went down, Well I guess there is no use in waiting around… Kihia walked back away from the cliff a bit, Now that I think about it… this will probably scare Axel… Kihia turned back around and sheathed Icarus, he then reached into his trench coat and pulled out both of the Geruks, It has been a while since I have done something like this though… but it is always an enjoyable experience… Kihia then started to run full speed towards the cliff, when he reached it he jumped of the cliff without hesitation and began to fall down back to the lower forest. His eyes stared at the forest floor beneath him completely void of fear, he knew… he had to keep calm to perform this correctly. He then started to channel his magical power into the Geruks and got ready for his dramatic landing.

He eyed two trees that were in the area in front of him, Kihia nodded and then drew both Geruko and Geruka back. “Ice make … chained partisan!!” He swung both of his weapons forward has the chains formed on them, they managed to wrap around the two trees he had spotted as he fell. Kihia then swung forward swiftly changing the direction into a horizontal direction, he then swung the Geruks once more for they could unwrap themselves from their anchoring points. He executed a back flip and then fell to the ground safely.

“Sorry for whatever form of heart attack I might of put you through Axel…” He stood back up and then coiled up the chains and hung them on his shoulders, I may need these later. Kihia looked around his all too familiar area, this was the same place he had fought of his first pack of wolves. As he looked around he noticed the wolves had seemingly disappeared however the torn and shredded remains of the vine cage still laid scattered in the area. He turned to Axel and said, “This area is the same area I spotted in the map… if we can manage to lure or chase the Houyhnhnm here… I can trap the animal in this small cove of the Cliffside with absolute certainty…” Kihia looked around for a bit longer and then stopped, he heard something… sounded like a large snort followed by… ]i]Whatever it is, it is charging at all full steam!![/i] Kihia pushed Axel out of the way and jumped up into the air swinging both of the Geruks to uncoil the chains from their positions and deliver two shallow cuts onto the back of the animal who had just charged at them. He saw a rather large boar… one that could easily flatten a small house… Kihia then heard a large multitude of growls from the direction the boar came from. He landed back on the ground and kept his eyes on the boar, “I am sorry for pushing you Axel… I hope that you are ok…”

Once Axel Landed, he looked over at the cliff to see if kihia could make it down, but once he began to look, he saw a person come towards him with insane speed, right from the sky. It made Axel jump and his heart began racing, then after a few seconds, he realized it was Kihia. The man jumped off the cliff and used his weapons make chains that latched him on two trees, he then unlatched the chains, and did a backflip, landing right in front of Axel. He then said sorry for giving him a scare. "No problem. Now I was more interested that you could jump off the cliff and actually survive. I guess that is the power of an ice mage," said Axel. From what Axel has seen from Kihia, his weapons, making creations out of ice, and even surviving long jumps, he knew he had what it took to become a great mage. He liked working with him, and wanted to continue working with him, so they could do other jobs, and watch each other grow in power. As Axel was still admiring Ice Magic, he heard loud footsteps. All of the sudden, a boar came rushing towards Kihia, along with five wolves. Axel dodged the boar that came at him, and so did Kihia, but he got a few scratches on boar. Once Axel got up from dodge-rolling, he noticed that there were ten hungry-looking wolves running right behind the boar. "Kihia! You better run! No way we can take them all!" shouted Axel, as he began running as fast as he could.

As Axel ran, he noticed three wolves right behind him. He hoped this did not mean that they already caught up to Kihia. Axel hoped he turned another way. The wolves were relentless, and did not slow down, so Axel knew he had to fight them. He did a backflip using the wind to keep him in the air for a while, then he landed behind the wolves. They immediately changed direction and ran towards Axel. He got his sword out, and slashed the first one that came in contact with him, thus making the wolf run away into the forest. Obviously he was not as brave as a usual wolf. Axel got the jump on the other two who kept looking at the wolf who fled, as if calling him a wuss. Axel sliced one wolf in the head, killing him, and stabbed the other wolf, killing him as well.

Axel would usually feel bad for the wolves, but them coming in pacts and continuing to hunt Axel down for what he did was annoying to him. He needed to survive to protect people, so killing a few wolves would not change the world. As he continued fighting these vicious animals he realized that they did not care about Axel's life in the slightest. Even though he went into the cave, it was not like he had done anything to make himself known as a criminal towards them. He thought animals went to far to protect there territory. He thought they would probably even kill a child who just decided to wander around a forest. It was for this reason Axel suddenly became cold towards the wolves, and he would now gladly end them of there life if it could protect a child from getting eaten in the future. He began to run again as he heard footsteps.

Kihia’s right eyebrow twitched when he heard Axel’s proclamation that they couldn’t take on all twenty one enemies at once. I would never have guessed that he would underestimate his own partner’s ability… Kihia stood his ground and to draw the attention of the animals to him, he poised himself with the ice chained partisans ready to defend himself. He had the boar staring angrily at him as well as fifteen wolves had him surrounded now. He nodded, “Well… what are you fine guardians waiting on…?” The wolves responded by baring their teeth and barking at Kihia.

He then heard the boar make a snorting sound again, he looked towards the boar that had lowered his head and had got ready to charge. So you want to have a go at me first… So be it…The Boar charged straight at Kihia, he swung both of the Geruks and managed to wrap both chains around the boar, Let’s see how much you like being an extra-large wrecking ball… He put both of his hands together and then moved both of the Geruks to his right arm and swung it around.

He pulled the Boar of course swinging it into the nearby line of wolves catching them on the boar and sending them flying as he spun it around. Kihia managed spin around enough to slam the boar into the other line of wolves and then the chains broke from the strain of the attack. The boar was sent flying taking out a few wolves in its path, it eventually flew far enough to crash into one of the trees causing a fracture in it. Kihia nodded and dispelled the chains from the Geruks, and sheathed them.

Kihia then reached behind him and pulled out Icarus from its sheathe and adopted an defensive stance. Well that plan worked out for while the chains held up… the boar should take a while to recover… leaving me with his battalion of canine allies… He watched as the wolves attempted to recover from the shocking onslaught they had just witnessed, Hmmm the best thing to do is to attempt to incapacitate them all at once…

Kihia then remember Axel had taken off somewhere, he then yelled, “Axel! If you can hear me… You may want to take cover!!” He nodded, he was serious with that warning for what was about to happened is never pleasant to those who are caught off guard, he grabbed Icarus with both hands and channeled a bit of his magical power into it, This technique… is one I have only recently learned how to use… but it is the ultimate technique Icarus can do on its own… An extremely large amount of magical power flowed out of Icarus and started to coalesce into a large ball of condensed magical power around Kihia and Icarus. He knew Axel should atleast be able to see the glow from where he is at… but if he didn’t hear me… I need to make sure to apologize for this… Kihia then released all of the condensed magical power at once that created a gigantic cryogenic explosion that covered almost the entire area. Freezing all the animals that Kihia had been fighting as well as those heading in, I only hope Axel made it out of the line of fire…
