Breaking or Exiting?(Private: Vierorin and Cathirne)

Vierorin was standing by the docks as Cathrine had ordered him to do, they had only recently joined the Rune Knights, but Cathrine had taken up the new job to an extreme… acting as their squad leader. Vierorin side, the plan was simple she would force the bandits to him and together they would trap them and take them out. Why do I have a feeling she has gravely underestimated the destructive power of my magic… A flanking strategy was great in all, but the they didn’t have a rough idea on exactly how many enemies they had to chase down either… “Where is that Cat-girl anyway…. I haven’t heard anything out of the usual yet…”

"Stop!" Cathrine shouted, "Give those jewels back!" Of course the thieves she was chasing did not stop, but she had not really expected them to. She and Vierorin had been sent on a mission to retrieve stolen jewels for local merchants. She had made a plan for herself to guide the the bandits towards Vierorin, who was waiting in an open square.

Cathrine saw the group of bandits start to turn down the wrong way. The half cat sighed as the put a hand to her guns. "Weapon Transformation: Revolver!" She raised the gun to eye level and aimed it to the side of the bandits. She fired and intentionally missed, causing the group to turn the other way. There, Cathrine thought to her self, they should be coming to the Vierorin now.

'Monster Dice' :

Vierorin sighed once more and then saw a gigantic group of thieves, Oh yeah! This is going to be great! Vierorin positioned himself where he lined up himself with the center of the large crowd of bandits. He then yelled, “Cathrine! You may want to stay back!” Vierorin position his hands a good distance apart as Azure flames came out of his body and ran along his arms to coalesce between his hands, “Azure Flame Bomb!!” Vierorin yelled this and chucked his large fireball towards the group who had halted their advance due to the incoming spell.

“No you fool! You can’t use that here!!” An odd little bug came out of nowhere and started to yell at Vierorin,  he then looked at the spell which made contact with the front of the group impacting three of the weaker looking bandits.

Then the fireball he sent off set off a giant explosion from where it impacted creating a massive heatwave and smoke cloud. “Ohhh now you’ve done it!! Quickly grab a bucket boy!” Vierorin stared at the bug for a moment “Why do I gotta d-…OH CRAP!!” Vierorin nearly jumped out of his skin when he saw a nearby building was on fire. He quickly grabbed a bucket and ran over with the bug who had started shooting bolts of water into the flames to put them out. Ohhh man Cathrine is going to kill me… Vierorin continued to put out the flames as fast as he could, The blast should give me enough time to put these flames out…

Oh, not again, Cathrine thought to herself as she heard a loud explosion from the square. She felt a the heat from Vierorin's attack and was almost knocked over by the force of the explosion. Cathrine rushed into the square and face palmed. The fire mage had managed to set a building on fire. A BUILDING! "Vierorin!" Cathrine shouted as she raised her revolver at the remaining bandits. "You had better put that out!!"

Cathrine pulled back the hammer of the revolver and managed to get off three shots before the group of bandits noticed her standing there. unfortunately two of the shots missed and, ricocheting of the walls and ground, but one found its mark causing one of the enemies to fall over, clutching his leg.

About half of the remaining bandits turned towards her, and the other half continued toward Vierorin. Cathrine fired another two shots at the approaching thieves. Both of her shots hit their targets, causing another two fall. The half cat turned and started to run away from the bandits as she uplled out another clip of ammo for her revolver and loaded as she ran, thinking to herself, I hope Vierorin can handle those guys and stop the fire.

Vierorin sighed as the small bug and him finally had put the flames out. Thank goodness... the fire didn't spread... Vierorin looked back for a moment and saw that eight of the thieves were slowly walking up behind him, "Look sharp boy, this fight is not over yet!" Vierorin glared at the bug who had just flew forward and landed on one of the pirate looking thieves and started to bite at his head. What is that thing....? Vierorin snapped out of it for a moment and saw he had an opening, that little bug had managed to distract the other seven people.

Vierorin got ready to run at a full on sprint, then he ran forward ramming into one of the weaker enemies and pushed him off into the water. Thats one down... this spot should be good for me to use that spell... Vierorin nodded as he turned around he heard the bug yell out, "Hey Boy! Look out! Sword incoming!!" Vierorin was confused for a moment, and then felt a sword hit his right shoulder. Vierorin yell in pain and then said, "Azure Flame Aura!" Azure flames completely ignited around Vierorin catching the pirate completely off guard. Vierorin then spun around and slammed his right fist into the pirate knocking him back a few feet out cold. He looked at the rest of the thieves and said, "Who wants to be barbecued next?"

Catheine looked behind her and saw the group of bandits still chasing after her. Great, she thought to herself. Cathrine turned around just long enough to aim her revolver at the nearest enemy and fire a single shot. The the Rune Knight heard the man fall to the ground as she continued running.

I need a better plan, Cathrine thought to herself, she could hear the thieves behind her getting closer with each footstep. The Half cat looked up ahead and saw a ally and had an idea. When she reached the ally she ran down it, putting her revolver back on her chain as she shrunk it back to its original size. Cathrine turned to see all of the bandits starring menacingly at her, brandishing their weapons. Cathrine just smiled as she put her to her waist and lifted her shotgun saying, "Weapon transformation: Shotgun" The full sized shotgun grew in her hands, and placed her left hand just in front of the stock where the rounders were loaded, saying, "Water Shot." A blue magic seal formed around the mage's hand as the gun was loaded with a water round.

Cathrine aimed the gun at the thieves, smiled, then pulled the trigger. A bubble of water about three feet wide flew at the bandits, and before they could react, the bubble hit the nearest one and exploded, knocking all of the bandits down. Cathrine quickly jumped over the fallen men and continued down the street. She know that she had not defeted all of them and she wanted to get some distance between her and the bandits before they got back up.

Vierorin studied the remaining bandits who had been taken aback from him suddenly enveloping himself in flames. The little bug and flown of the head of the pirate and was hovering a few feet away from Vierorin, “You Okay boy?” The little bug was starting to get on Vierorin’s nerves, “I am fine” He then took off towards the pirate who had just noticed what was going on and kicked his leg. The Pirate howled in and keeled over, which Vierorin then hammered both of his fists down onto his head, knocking the pirate out.

Vierorin then turned around and saw that the remaining thieves had backed up a bit from him. “You guys aren’t going anywhere!!” Vierorin then jumped forward and punched one of the tougher looking thieves which made him fall to the ground writhing in pain from the heat. These guys must have taken more damage from my previous spells than I thought…

Then the bug rammed into one of the weaker thieves’ heads knocking him out, Vierorin nodded when he saw this and punched another thief in the gut. Vierorin then looked at the last two remaining two thieves who had taken a knee. “Whats wrong guys can’t take the heat?” Vierorin watched as they fell over and passed out. “Now dispel that Aura of yours before you Cause any more damage!” The little bug yelled at him, he glared at it and said, “Fine” he then dispelled his Azure Flame Aura, “Any ways thanks for the help Now I gotta go!” Vierorin then nodded at the bug and took off towards the direction Cathrine went, “You aren’t leaving me behind Boy!” The little bug then took off after Vierorin.

Cathrine once again heard the sound of foot steps following her, and she silently cursed in her head. She turned around and aimed her shotgun at the group following her and fired. She hit all three of the men still following her, and made one fall to the ground.

"Time to stop running," Cathrine said to herself as she turned around to face the two remaining enemies. They were both scared, and looked like they had seen meany years on the open seas. They both pulled out long, curved swords and looked at Cathrine with angry eyes. "First you disrupt our heist, then you take out our entire crew." the man on the left said. "We are going to make you pay girly." the other added. Cathrine quickly ejected the used shell from her shotgun then replaced it with another. "No, you both are going to jail." Cathrine leveled the shotgun at the two. "Now I am giving you one chance to surrender and come quietly, before I make you by force." The two men just laughed at the half cat and rushed her.

Cathrine managed to get a shot off at the man on her left, making him fall to the ground, but she missed the other completely, and the man was soon in front of her. He came at her with a horizontal slash, which she dodged by jumping to the right. She swung the butt of the shotgun at the man, but missed. The man took the opportunity to slash the half cat in the leg with a low attack. Cathine yelped as the blade drew blood.

Cathrine gritted her teeth and tried to move backwards. The man smiled and went for another overhead slash, hoping to kill her in another blow. In desperation Cathrine jumped back, but instead of landing on the ground like she was expecting, the girl just kept floating back. What is going on? Cathrine thought to herself as she started to float higher. The man beared his teeth in fustraton as the half cat floated out of reach. Vierorin had better get here soon, Cathrine thought to herself as she continued to float away.

Vierorin ran along the street towards where he heard gunfire. She better not have died on me after pulling me into the Rune Knights... He then saw one of the pirates yelling at Cathrine about fifteen feet away. He put up is right hand and started to channel azure flames to the palm of his hand. Vieorin took aim at the pirates back and then said, "Azure Flame stream!!" The beam fired of just as the little bug caught up to him,"Do you ever think before firing off a spell you foolish boy?!?!" Vierorin ignored the bug as the beam impacted the pirates back. He watched as stood there shocked for a moment, and then Vierorin closed his right hand canceling the spell.

The Pirate fell over with a two foot wide hole burnt into the back of his shirt, "Hey Cathrine! Are you ok??" The little bug let out a sigh and said, "If my name wasn't Zekkaria... so help me I would have punished you for you foolhardiness!" Vierorin ignored the bug and his jaw dropped, "Cathrine... you...you are flying!!"

"I can see that!" Cathrine said as she continued to float up, "Now help me down!" As she said this, the half cat suddemly fell, landing on the ground with a laud thud.

She just sat there for a moment catching her breath before saying to Vierorin, "Well that was new, didn't know that I could fly." Cathrine looked at the man laying on the ground and chuckled to her self. She had warned him, but some people never listen. "Well, looks like we are done here." Cathrine wanted to yell at Vierorin for almost burning down a building, but she did not have it in her right now. She was to drained to care much right now. "Lets head back to HQ and tell miss Mel that we finished."
