Post by Kihia 5th June 2014, 12:59 pm

Kihia was walking along an rarely used path, he had woken up one morning to find a slip of paper on his desk, the letter was from the Guild master and had details of a special mission Zuo wanted Kihia to partake in. He had been directed to travel to Iceberg, the frozen continent and help out a few villages by planting seeds that have been specially enchanted to grow in the extreme environment of Iceberg. The Guild master also wanted him to teach Ice make magic to whom he could in the villages.

That was a week ago, Kihia was about to step across the border of Seven and Iceberg, having traveled this far by train and boar carriage, he had to take the remainder by foot. As he walked he noticed the lush landscape of Seven started to fade away to a cold and barren wasteland, the artifact Zuo had mentioned in the letter, he had read about it before, during one of the many history lessons Iarok had given him while growing up. He was taught the Iceberg came into being when an archeologist by the name of Fálki had found an ancient crown. The crown however was magical in nature, and had drawn Fálki to don the crown. When he did, the magic of the crown was unleashed causing Fálki to lose his sanity….but at the same time freezing the land that is now known as Iceberg…solid.

Kihia saw the snowline, he knew once he stepped onto that snowline he was in Iceberg, Why do I have an odd…longing feeling about this place…? Kihia shook his head dismissing the thought, he had a mission to do, he patted the small pouch of seeds to make sure they were still there. He nodded and then continued on, he stepped onto the snow and kept on walking, Now…that I think about it…I should have gotten a map… Kihia sighed and continued walking along the path that was loosely marked in the snow. He walked for what seemed like a few hours and then noticed a set of small indentations in the snow. Tracks…off a person…? Kihia looked up from the tracks, he guessed they were fresh tracks… snow was falling, but wasn’t too heavy. Kihia shifted Icarus on his right shoulder and started to keep full watch on his surroundings. He continued walking on keeping an eye out for any unusual activity going on around him. The next thing he knew he heard someone screaming, the screams seemed to belong to a young girl and was headed in his direction.

Kihia ran around the bend and saw a young girl being chased by a very large mountain Vulcan. ”Get behind me!” Kihia yelled at the small girl, he then ran up and executed a spinning kick, hitting the Vulcan in the face to knock him out of the charge. Kihia watched the Vulcan fall over from the sudden attack, ”You can’t defeat that Vulcan! Many people from my village have tried but failed! He is the strongest Vulcan in thi-“ She stopped talking when she saw Kihia had kicked the Vulcan with enough force to make it roll over from the force. Kihia darted at the Vulcan, [color=#ccffff]If this creature causes a nearby village greif…then it is my mission to dispose of it… Kihia ran towards the Vulcan, “Ice make…Spear!” The girls eyes widened when she heard Kihia call out that spell, she then said under her breath, ”He is a mage…?” Kihia sliced the ice spearhead across the Vulcan’s right leg making it howl in pain. The Vulcan grunted and tried to slam his fist on top of Kihia. Kihia countered this by blocking it with his left arm letting the snow underneath him act as a cushion and then using his right arm he thrusted Icarus into the chest of the Vulcan piercing its heart cavity. ”May you rest in peace…” Kihia then pushed the dead Vulcan off of Icarus and watched it has it started to roll down the hill side.

The young girl watched Kihia as he knelt down and started to clean his weapon on the snow, ”You… You’re an Ice make mage?? Where are you from?? Why are you here??” Kihia sighe, She is a lively one…. Kihia stood up and looked at the small girl in front of him, ”Are you ok?...” The girl jumped a bit when he had asked her that, [color=#cc66cc]”Um…I am now, Thanks for saving me.” Kihia gently smiled and walked over to her, he lifted Icarus up onto his right shoulder while dispelling his ice spearhead. ”My name is Kihia Avoa, I am a mage from a legal mage in Fiore called Lamia Scale…” The small girls eyes widened when she heard where Kihia was from, Kihia gently smiled at her, and knelt down to look her in the eye, ”May I ask for your name little one?” The girl stared at Kihia for a long moment with her eyes extremely wide, ”My name is Borina, thanks for saving me once again mister” Kihia nodded at her, ”Can you bring me to your Village? I have been sent here on an important mission…” Borina nodded and said ”Sure thing mister! Just follow me!”

Kihia followed the young girl along the path, she was jumping up and down full of energy, I am not surprised by her energy…I guess it’s rare for them to get visitors…let alone mages to their village… The young girl got extremely excited has they came to the top of a ridge, ”We are almost there!!” Kihia sped up a bit to keep up with the small girls pace, when they reached the top of the ridge, the village came into full view. It was a smaller village, which had been built to be able to withstand the cold over the years, he also saw a number of villagers walking around the village going on about their normal lives. Borina broke Kihia from his gaze when she tugged his left arm to urge him to continue moving forward. Kihia gently smiled and followed along to approach her village, he then looked up and saw something troubling. Five people were headed to meet them four of which were armed with spears. The ones who were armed seemed to be escorting the one in the middle who seemed to be a very old man who had a very peculiar staff.

Kihia stopped ten feet from the group and watched Borina run up to the elderly man and gave him a hug, ”I am home, Elder Teirak” The elderly man embraced Borina and then let her go and patted her on the head, “It is good to see you again little one, we were worried when we heard that you had gone missing when you were helping your father hunt” Teirak’s face then turned serious when he looked at Kihia, ”However…this stranger…is a different matter…” Kihia was taken aback when the elderly gentleman said this, and he watched has the four armed villagers lower their spears and aimed them at Kihia. Borina’s eyes widened when she saw this and ran to be in between them and Kihia and spread out her arms acting as a shield, “STOP!” she yelled, “This kind gentleman saved my life from the strongest Vulcan and slew it! And you big meanies are threatening him with your sticks!” Tierak formed an confused expression on his old wrinkled face. ”Stand down men… I need to have a closer look at this one…” Tierak walked forward from his escort ignoring their plea’s to stay by them, [color=#0066cc]”Young man….you saved this little one from a rather large mountain Vulcan?” Kihia stood there for a moment studying the elderly gentlemen, ”Yes sir…I was walking on the path from seven and found it chasing her, I took action and slew it to prevent it from doing any further harm…” Tierak stood there for a moment stroking his beard [color=#0066cc]”You who bears the blood which carries the spell known as the Frozen Armor….saved a little girl…from a measly Vulcan…? Where do you hail from young man?”

Kihia tensed when this elderly gentleman had mentioned the base spell from which his Ice make Knight spell originated from, How does he know I use that spell…? Kihia recollected himself for a moment and answered the elderly man’s question ”I come from a Legal guild in Fiore called Lamia Scale…but if you want to know my birthplace…I was born in a small mountain range in the northern parts of Fiore…” Kihia got a knot in his throat as he said that, this was the first time he ever mentioned where his original home was. ”May I ask though…how did you know I could use a reincarnation of the Ice armor spell?” Tierak smiled, and studied Kihia a bit longer, ”Well to be blunt…those who carry that bloodline have an unique magical resonance when they specialize in Ice make magic…normally it only can be detected by other Ice make mages like myself who have felt it before…however…I was told by the previous elder of the village what it feels like…That information has been passed down generation to generation…” He then started to turn around and motioned Kihia to follow him, ”Come young man we must talk in private for a moment…”

Kihia had followed Tierak into the village, it seemed the whole village was curious to see a stranger in their village let alone one being brought in with a fully armed… escort. They came to the largest hut of the village and was rushed inside with the guards standing guard just outside the door. Tierak walked over to a small mat in the middle of the hut and knelt down on it, he gestured Kihia to sit down on the one across from him. ”Now young man… before I inquire about your business here I must ask… what is your name as well as the name of the weapon you carry on your shoulder?” Kihia knelt down where he was directed and held Icarus across his lap, ”My name is Kihia Avoa, and my weapon is called Icarus… although I see it as more of a companion than a weapon…” Tierak’s eyes widened when he heard both names, and waited a long moment before he responded, ”You indeed are a descendant of the family who was… cursed… well I shouldn’t say that… it was at first considered a blessing from one of the early Ice kings… although it soon became to be hated amongst the surviving tribes in Iceberg due to the Ice King who had bestowed that spell had used it to teach the tribes a lesson… however when that Ice King was killed and the next one had taken his place…” Tierak paused for a moment stroking his beard, ”He had personally started to kill off the Avoa family… All the tribes thought he had succeeded… but it seems a member may have survived after all and had found refuge somewhere…. As for your weapon… it once belonged to a man by the name of Iarok… correct?” Kihia was quiet for a long moment processing all the information about his family’s history, The Frozen Armor spell…was bestowed upon my bloodline from one of the Ice Kings……? Kihia eventually answered Tieraks last question, Yes sir…… Iarok was the one who had taught me Ice make magic… he gave this Icarus to me when he passed away…”

Tierak’s frowned when he heard the news ”So Iarok has passed on…I am glad he found a kind hearted student to pass his legacy onto…” Tierak paused for a moment and wiped a tear from his right eye. ”Sorry… I had to inquire about him… he was a dear friend from back when we were younger…. Anyways, what has brought you to our village? I am sure a full-fledged Legal mage wouldn’t come out this far from Fiore for no reason.” Kihia sat there in silence for a minute studying Icarus, he then shook his head and wiped a tear from his own face, ”My Guildmaster, Zuo Cii had given me a special mission to come out to Iceberg and aid a village by planting specially enchanted fruit tree seeds that could survive out here as well as teaching who I could Ice make magic to aid in defending their village as well as other villages” Tierak started to cry when Kihia said this, ”You are going to aid us…in surviving here in Iceberg…?” Suddenly a man who appeared to be in his mid-thirties forced his way into the hut ”Hey Old man! What are you doing letting him into the village! We don’t need help from the likes of him!” Kihia had jumped a little with this young man’s sudden entrance; Tierak however formed a fist out of ice and hit the man on the head with it, ”Julius how many times have I told you that it is not your right to make those decisions yet??” Tierak took a deep breath recollecting himself ”Please forgive him, he is in line to be the next elder but he has a lot to learn before that day comes. Now, about your business here, we will reach out to our allied tribes to send out people to be taught by you, and we will also distribute the seeds to the candidates to bring back to their own villages. Julius send out our messengers with this message understood?” Julius reluctantly nodded and then ran back out of the hut.

Tierak waited for a moment before he continued, he sighed and then said, ”Rest for now and get started your with your duties in the morning…Now for all of you who decided to eavesdrop…” Kihia heard a number of whispers and people falling down just outside the hut. After that Tierak continued, ”Set up a hut for our guest, he will need a good night’s rest for what is to come.” Tierak smiled at Kihia after he finished saying this, ”Kihia thank you, Elder Tierak, May I walk around and get better acquainted with the village before I call it a day?” Tierak studied Kihia for a moment, and then nodded, ”Yes you can, we will have a hut ready for you by sundown.” Kihia nodded at the elderly gentleman, and then stood up, he rested Icarus on his right shoulder and walked out of Tierak’s hut, I need to find a suitable area to plant the seeds… That will be my first task…

Kihia walked to the center of the village and looked around him, the ground was completely covered in an unknown amount of snow, he then saw Julius ordering three men something and them running out of the village. Julius turned around and spotted Kihia standing in the middle of the village and started to angrily walk over to him. ”Oy there, outsider! You think you can freely walk around our village and do whatever you want??” Julius said this while walking straight up and getting in Kihia’s face. Tierak came out of his hut and said ”Julius control yourself before you hurt your inflated pride!” Julius ignored him and kept staring into Kihia’s cold eyes, ”Its best that you listen to him…I didn’t come here to cause trouble… I am here to aid your village” Julius was taken aback when he heard Kihia say this, [color=#00ffcc]”Why you little….You have a lot of nerve telling me what I should do! Take this! Ice make Hammer!” Kihia watched as a giant hammer formed above Julius, It is formed out of hate… and the desire for revenge… The spell holds no strength within it…. Kihia stood there as Julius brought the hammer down on top of him, he then quietly said, ”Ice…make…spear” Kihia thrusted Icarus upward letting his freshly formed spearhead collide with Julius’s giant hammer. The spearhead pierced into the hammer stopping it from continuing its projected path.

Julius laughed at Kihia, ”Hahaha! You really think that little-“ Julius stopped mid-sentence when he noticed what was happening to his ice hammer, he was cracking and breaking apart from where Kihia hit it. ”Any Ice make spell…that is formed with revenge in a person’s heart…is weak and fragile… for the condition of our heart correlates to how well one is attuned to his very own life force… thus his own magical power… May this be your first lesson…” Kihia then twisted Icarus making the entire ice hammer shatter above him, For it was mine as well…. Kihia slid Icarus down and let the blunt in impact the snow, ”Are you done with your protest?” Julius stood there in shock, [color=#00ffcc]”Why…you…you!!” He started to move forward to try and punch Kihia when a giant slab of Ice formed between the two, [color=#0066cc]”Stop now Julius! Before you do something you truly regret!” Tierak yelled this out as he walked forward from his hut, ”Now go and cool yourself off!” Kihia heard Julius yell something and then storm off, he then watched the ice slab start to fade away. Kihia turned to Tierak and said, ”I apologize for causing a disturbance, Tierak” Tierak simply shook his head, ”No need to apologize Kihia, Julius is very hot headed despite our cold home… Now feel free to roam around the village as you feel the need, your hut will be done in a few hours….Also the messengers should arrive back with representatives tomorrow.”

Kihia nodded in thank and then turned his attention to the village grounds, there were ten huts in total, with an eleventh being set up just outside the village. Kihia knelt down and scooped out a handful of snow. The first few inches were lightly packed as one could expect, as for the snow layer that was below it, was a different matter, it was snow that had been compacted together and deepfreezed over the course of the centuries. Borina walked up to Kihia unnoticed by him, and watched him for a moment, and then said ”Whatchya looking for mister?” Kihia jumped a bit when Borina suddenly asked him this. ”I am trying to get a rough idea how far below is actual earth…” Kihia said this calmly, without shifting his gaze to the young girl. She laughed a bit at Kihia’s remark, ”Well that’s simple! It is about ten feet below the surface! The elders instilled a practice long ago to constantly move the fresh layers of snow away from the village after the Freezing. Because of that our village does get completely buried by the snow!” Borina had finished saying this with a smile on her face. Kihia let out a sigh of relief, Thankfully useable ground shouldn’t be too far out of reach….it will be just coming up a way to reach it… Kihia nodded at Borina in thanks, “Thank you very much for that bit of information Borina.”

Kihia stood up and dispelled his ice spearhead from Icarus, for the next few hours he walked around the village trying to get a rough idea of who he could train to use. He found three people that seemed to be a good age and in good shape to learn Ice make magic. He had let them know that they needed to meet him first thing in the morning in the center of the village. When the sun was setting he had headed to the hut they had prepared for him, he went inside and saw that it was prepared like any other the huts, Kihia smiled When the elder wants to be hospitable they all seem to heed the call… Kihia sat down on the mat in the hut and laid down Icarus gently next to him, he took off his trench coat and then his long sleeve grey shirt. This revealed his prosthetic arm’s harness partially covered bandages. His right arm had been exposed to most of the guild a week before Master Zuo had left the letter in his possession. He sighed and shook his head, he need to get some sleep because he had a long day ahead of him.

Kihia woke before dawn in the morning, and did regular checks on his arm after he was done he got dressed and went outside. The air was extremely cold even for Kihia, It must be like this every day before the sun comes out… Kihia walked to the middle of the village enduring the extreme cold around him, Kihia saw the sun start to come over the horizon …it’s time for me to begin… Kihia sat down in the middle of town and began to focus on ten points, each point ten feet away from him, and each one evenly spaced out away from another. He formed ten poles of solid ice at each point, each one being six inches thick and five feet tall. Kihia also extended each pole deep beneath the snow trying to detect when they stop forming. He sensed each one extend roughly ten feet before they hit a material that wasn’t ice based Borina was right…ten feet down is the surface of the ground… Kihia sat there for a few hours formulating the best ice make construct he could develop for this purpose. He came up with a brilliant idea that would sure aid in his mission but first he had to wait for the villagers to wake up and the messengers to arrive.

He didn’t have to wait for long when the three villagers he had talked to yesterday had woken up early and met Kihia in the center of the village, soon afterword the messengers had arrived each had with them two to three members of each tribe they visited. I have ten people to teach Ice make magic…. Kihia sighed and then saw Tierak come out of his hut, he had a perplexed expression when he saw what Kihia had prepared beforehand [color=#0066cc]”My my…Kihia what in Earthland do you have planned?” Kihia gently smiled and nodded in greeting to the Village elder ”Good morning Tierak, I am about to start both my mission directives, if you care to observe?” Tierak raised an eyebrow, ”Indeed I will, I am most interested to see what you have planned, Kihia” Tierak then walked over to a small chair by his hut and sat down and started to watch. Kihia nodded and then turned to the group of men and women in front of him when he noticed Julius walking over from his hut and stopped just within the ring of ice poles and shouted out ”Alright I will listen to your lessons, but that don’t mean I like ya… I do somewhat appreciate you helping out the tribes around here…” Kihia simply nodded and then turn and studied the group of people in front of him, So many different faces… Everyone here has different experiences… different talents…. but they are all here for the same reason…. the survival of their people… Kihia smiled he understood the feeling and respected it.

Kihia then started his first lesson, ”It is honorable to see you all here for the same cause and reason, the process of learning magic varies in difficulty depending on the person, but I will put you on the path to obtaining the skills necessary to learn and eventually perfect your own style of Ice make magic… I, Kihia Avoa will aid you the best to my ability to give you the added skills to aid your people in surviving in this land.” A few of them started to quietly mumble when they heard Kihia’s last name. Kihia held up his right hand, ”Do not let my bloodline deter you… I assure you I value each one of your lives as if it were my own… Now onto the first principle...”Kihia paused for a moment and looked at Julius who decided to walk over and sit with the other members of his tribe. After this Kihia continued ”Magic power itself, is tied in with one’s life force… and one of the wellsprings of one’s life force is their heart… If you practice magic…but go against the values of your heart… not only will you suffer but your magic as well. Ice make magic, is a magic that uses ice to form a number of different things.”

Kihia took a moment to catch his breath, and he studied the group in front of him, a few of them nodded in agreement where others just studied Kihia trying to find out where he was headed. Kihia nodded and turned his left hand over so that his palm was facing upward. He formed a small Ice ring there and let it hover in the air. ”As a molding magic, Ice make requires heavy use on the mage’s hands to cast their spells effectively, this leads me to your first assignment, find the true source of your magical energy within you, and channel it to one of your hands, when you have done this, picture a small ring in forming and channel what you can to that thought… Now begin.” Kihia watched as the ten tribesmen started to meditate on what Kihia had just instructed them to do; Julius sat patiently and watched the others progress, I can give him some slack since he could already pull of a full-fledged ice make spell but… Kihia sighed and said ”Julius…instead of sitting there why don’t you help your fellow tribesmen?” Julius appeared to get aggravated at the thought of Kihia ordering him around but ended up going with it without complaint. Julius sat still for a moment taking in regular deep breaths, eventually he had formed a small ring in the palm of his right hand. The others saw this and started to calm their senses by taking multiple quick breaths, and focusing fully on the task at hand. Kihia watched as a few of them started to form an ice ring in their hands but then have it fade away going unnoticed. They are getting there… a few of them may have trouble at first…but in time they will be able to pull it off… Kihia then noticed two of the tribesmen managed to make a ring already. Kihia nodded and watched them over the course of the next hour as one by one each of the tribesmen managed to pull off the first lesson. Kihia smiled and nodded at this, ”Good work all of you! A ring may seem to be extremely simple but at the same time, it can lead to so many different and unique spells.” Kihia nodded, demonstrating this fact by turning the small ring into mini firecrackers that flew into the air and exploded. A few of them tried to duplicate what he had just did but only ended up destroying the small ice rings they had worked so hard to form. ”Easy now, don’t push it now, you all will be able to pull of similar things before long! Kihia gently smiled after he said this, and studied them for a moment. ”Follow me for a moment…”

Kihia stood up and led them outside of the ring of Ice pillars he had made earlier, ”What I am about to show you, is something you will need to come together and make at each one of your villages, it will bore away the snow until you reach soil.” Kihia turned around after saying this and stuck Icarus in the snow, he then walked over one of the ice pillars and placed both of his hands against it channeling his magic power into it. Rings of ice formed connecting the pillars together; Kihia formed these rings at every five feet. Kihia then continued on making the main part of this complex construct, He formed numerous gears and other parts that would fit inside a machine. At the bottom of the complex mechanisms a giant drill formed and started up and started to be lowered to the snow.

Everyone watched as the drill started to drill through the snow at a slow pace, moving the snow into a place outside of the village through ice conveyor belts Kihia had formed alongside the drill. Kihia nodded stepping back from his work taking a deep breath to recollect himself from the large amount of magic power he had just used up(20%) he then turned to the villagers, he chuckled when he saw a few of them had their mouths hanging open from the sight of this drill being created. ”My goodness brilliant idea Kihia! That contraption will definitely allow us to reach the soil and plant the seeds!” Tierak had exclaimed this while walking over to the group; Kihia nodded at him and saw Borina was standing a few feet away from the outer ring her eyes wide. Kihia chuckled when he saw this and said ”The snow should be cleared away in a few hours’ time…until then…” Kihia turned to the group of tribesmen he was training, ”We train until you all are proficient enough to call upon this magic without any delay, now follow me.” Kihia picked up Icarus after he said this, and led the group outside the village.

When they all got to a suitable clearing he started up his second lesson, ”You all managed to create a simple ring out of nothing…Now however we are going to try something a bit more complex, try and make a weapon of your choice out of your own ice make magic. When you have decided on it, clasp both of your hands together and channel your magical power too both off them, and say, Ice Make…and then the weapon of your choice.” Kihia sat down onto the snow after he said this, he had a feeling that this was going to take a while.

He watched one by one attempt the action Kihia had instructed, each time however their Ice hadn’t failed to form, or came out misshapen and then shattered. Kihia lifted up his right hand after an hour of them trying this and said, ”That’s enough for now, take a twenty minute break and then we will continue.” He watched some of them nod in agreement had sit down in the snow to rest, whereas others had tried to continue practicing but after seeing Kihia’s cold stare their direction they too sat down and rested. Julius then walked up to Kihia and sat down next to him, ”You really think these guys are going to be able to learn ice make magic, before you leave?” Kihia looked at Julius studying him for a moment and then finally responded ”I am confident that they will be set on the right path by then, I will also trust you will go with the group village to village and aid in the planting efforts?” Julius was taken aback for a moment with Kihia’s last remark he waited for a moment thinking about his decision, after a moment he finally responded ”Hmmm I guess that may be the best thing to do… After all I am supposed to be the next village elder ain’t I?”

Julius had paused for a moment studying Kihia and then asked, [color=#00ffcc]”By the way… If you don’t mind me asking, what is your version of the cur-…I mean, the frozen armor spell?” Kihia was taken aback from the sudden question, and when he looked towards the tribesmen they had taken interest in this discussion now as well. Kihia sighed, I guess there is no beating around the bush with these people…they knew of the spells existence even before I did… Kihia studied the group in front of him, and then finally responded to Julius’s question, ”My version of the frozen armor spell is called Ice Make: Knight, it forms an durable full set of armor on my entire body, as well as forming a blade from a Glaive on Icarus. Iarok, the man who had taught me Ice make magic, had dubbed me the Frozen Knight shortly before he passed away.” Julius studied Kihia long after he said this, and the tribesmen had begun to whisper amongst themselves. Julius then turned to them and spat out, ”Hey! Don’t think any less of this guy just because he is from the Avoa Family! He didn’t even know his families origins before he came here, and even if he did I am sure he wouldn’t act any differently than he is now!” Kihia was taken aback when Julius of all people stood up for him, he gently smiled at him and raised his right hand up for him to stop. Kihia looked at the tribesmen, studying them all after a moment he said, ”What Julius said was true…before yesterday I had no knowledge that my ancestors had come from Iceberg, I don’t know how they were back then, but may I use my services here to act as an apology, for whatever misdeeds my ancestors did in their own time.” The tribesmen acknowledged his request by nodding, Kihia quietly nodded back to them in thanks and stood up.

”With that matter cleared, let us continue our training” Kihia paused for a moment as he watched them stand up from resting , ”While you are trying to form your first Ice weapon, keep in mind you need to maintain your full focus, both on the weapon you are visualizing and the magic power your are trying to store up! Now let us begin again!” They all nodded and began their attempts of making an ice weapon successfully this time. Julius stood behind Kihia watching them, although he jumped when he saw Kihia look over at him with a look that told him to practice as well. Julius sighed and adopted his stance, ”Ice Make…Hammer!” Kihia watched as a giant hammer formed above them, he saw this one was much more well-constructed than the one he had destroyed the day before. Kihia nodded at him and held up his left arm signaling Julius to wait with it. After seeing Julius’s demonstration, they should all manage to do it…I wonder if he will catch on I am helping him get better to inspire his fellow tribesmen…

Kihia smiled after that thought and turned his attention to the group, and watched them slowly make their own ice weapons one after another after Julius’s demonstration. Kihia smiled, he saw that they managed to make a varied assortment ranging from swords, to large battle axes… Kihia nodded, ”Your first spell, is always the one you can find yourself to rely on the most, you will be able to learn to use this spell with the utmost efficiency before long, alright now dispel your constructs by releasing your grip and your magic power within them.” Kihia nodded as he watched them all do this with little issue, he then smiled, [i]Here comes the true lesson…
Kihia clapped his hands applauding their progress, ”Now you have managed to conquer forming your first ice weapon, however, this next lesson will be how well you can control and maintain a defensive barrier. I will demonstrate first, I want five of you to surround me and try and hit me with a snowball.” Kihia walked away from the group a bit, and formed two small discs of ice and controlled them so that they were orbiting him.

Kihia nodded at them to signal them to begin their barrage, he swiftly controlled each disc to block an income snowball, They seem to be enjoying this exercise…for now…. Kihia blocked every incoming snowball from the five tribesmen without having to move. Until they all simultaneously threw a snowball at Kihia at the exact same time, Kihia sighed at this attempt and broke each disc into four parts and blocked the five snowballs all at once. ”Now that is out of your systems, who is the first volunteer for this exercise?” Kihia watched as no one wanted to step forward; Kihia dispelled both of the discs and watched the group with curious eyes. After a minute passed Julius stepped up and said, ”If none of you are brave enough for this lesson, I will take it head on!” Kihia raised an eyebrow at this, and heard the other tribesmen quietly conversing amongst themselves with an annoyed tone, [i]Congratulations Julius, alongside inspiring them you have made yourself their number one target for this exercise

Kihia walked over out of the firing line and watched as Julius took the position, he formed two discs identical to the ones Kihia had made and got ready. Kihia turned around, he had a gentle smile on his face, ”Now… Begin!”. Kihia stood back and watched as the tribesmen started to unload their snowballs at Julius. He was doing good at first, but then Kihia noticed his discs started to move slower and slower. Eventually one of the stronger tribesmen managed to land a snow ball right on Julius’s face, and it all went downhill from there. Kihia chuckled a bit, and then saw Borina running to the group from the village, ”Mister! Mister Kihia, your Ice drill has started to dig up brown snow!” Everyone was taken aback for a moment and looked at Kihia who had a perplexed expression on his face. Brown….Snow…?.....OH…we have hit Dirt! Kihia turned around quickly and said, ”Everyone come quickly we have hit pay dirt!”

Kihia ran up to the village with everyone else running behind him. He came back to the center of the village and saw everyone was crowding around the area where the ice drill was working. Kihia moved through the crowd and placed his hand on one of the Ice pillars. He sent a bit of his magical power into the ice to stop the drill and make it come up. Kihia waited a moment before he slid down into the hole to check the quality of the soil. Julius had picked up Tierak and carried him down into the hole for they can see the results of Kihia’s ice drill first hand. Kihia felt put his left hand against the soil, that had been tilled up a bit because of the drill. [color=#ccffff]”This is really high quality soil… Although I shouldn’t be surprised considering the soil has been buried in snow for a long time.” Tierak looked at the ground, his eyes were tearing up, ”Kihia…I can never thank you…and your guild enough for the actions you just did…” Kihia nodded at Tierak and Julius and then made a shovel out of Ice and made three holes in the ground and place one seed in each one.

Kihia then covered them up, and looked at Julius and Tierak. ”Make sure you water these daily, it will aid them to grow nice and healthy, Julius I want you and the other tribesmen to study every part of this drill before it fades. You all will need to remake it at each Village and plant the seeds in the soil.” Julius nodded and carried Tierak back up to the top of the ridge; Kihia quietly said a small prayer that these seeds will indeed grow into strong fruit trees to aid the villages in the years to come. Kihia then turned around and ran up the slope to see the situation after everyone heard the news. All the villagers were cheering and celebrating at the news they now have a way to have a new kind of food source. Kihia turned around and saw the tribesmen he had been teaching was inspecting every inch of the ice drill, making sure not to miss a single detail. Kihia smiled and saw Tierak walk up to him, ”Stay the night and celebrate with us! You can leave in the morning after the sun rises!” Kihia smiled because he knew there was no backing out of that request.

When the morning came Kihia had come out of the hut to see everyone in front of it, the entire village as well as the members of the other tribes were there. Tierak came forward and said, ”Kihia, we cannot express how grateful we are for your assistance as well as your knowledge.” Kihia simply nodded at the Elder and then looked up and addressed everyone, ”No thanks are needed, I only have one last thing to tell Julius and those whom I had taught…” Kihia paused handing Julius the pouch that held the remaining seeds. [color=#ccffff]”I have given you the knowledge and skills necessary to help the other tribes in Iceberg, go to each of your tribes and make the drill, plant the seeds, and nurture them for they can grow. After the first harvest, save the seeds from the fruit, and then reach out to the tribes that need it. Lastly…. Practice the skills and your Ice make magic daily, you will grow stronger the more you perfect it, and at the same time be able to protect your villages and your kinsmen.” Kihia nodded at them, and then saw Tierak was handing him a small scroll, ”Please give this to your Guild Master once you return, it is our personal thanks to him as well”

Kihia accepted the small scroll and placed it into his one of his pockets, he then bowed and started to walk down the path he first came on, but then he heard ”Kihia Avoa, The Frozen Knight…May you live a long and happy life, and never give up.” Kihia had stopped when he was told this, and had started to tear up, he slowly raised his left hand waving good bye and then continued walking down the path, Its time, for me to come home…
