The night was dark; the moon covered by moving clouds that were being pulled by fierce winds. It all happened that evening; a poor boy seen sitting on a stump crying, a dark figure moving through the trees. That was the moment the deal was struck. Alakai was given immense power, in return for the souls of his family and friends, and his own. He slaughtered everyone, 13 individuals that never gave him the light of day. But there was one, one soul he let go. His own flesh and blood, the one that helped him through the pain everytime. He could still remember the fear in her eyes, as he loomed over her. Kariline, the last thing he knew, is that letting her live, would haunt him forever.
He proceeded to leave his home, in search for more, he was power hungry, a greed that swarmed his body, taking him over completely. He would do anything it took to get that power, and if he had to feed on the souls of every one alive, he would do it without a thought of remorse. Alakai took the time to progress with his new found power by attacking a group of mages on a nearby path. He didn't care to get their names, or to find out where they were from, he wanted them dead. A young twelve year old boy, with a crazy blood lust.
Darkness swarmed around him as he confronted the three mages. They were older and clearly more experienced with their own magics. But all of them shivered as they saw his now true form; The form of the Reaper. He grew to be 10 feet tall and turn intangible as the shadows himself. The only solid part was right in the middle, as his exposed heart beat to a rhythm. His laughter erupted as the air around him turned dark. Suddenly the mages began to scream out maliciously, they were clawing at their own faces as they imagined spiders underneath their skin. He was using illusion based magic to torment them.
This was fantastic!! This power, he could inflict pain on anyone he wanted! To put fear into the eyes of anyone he wished; This is exactly what he strived for, power. Alakai just walked over their suffering bodies, in search for his next victim. He began to perfect his magic, utilizing the dark to his advantage. However, he soon learned that this magic came with a curse.
The Reaper dwelling within him constantly posed a threat each time he used his new power, as it fed off of Alakai, and he could feel the Reaper lurking behind him. Deep down he became afraid of his own power, initially afraid of his own self. But there was more than that deep in his heart. Plagued by his past Alakai searches for ways to overcome them, while on his want for power.
His journey lead him to different guilds, Where he evaluated each and every one. Alakai came to believe that no one was good enough for him, no guild was good enough for him. Eventually he came onto the guild Sabertooth, which valued the growth and freedom of each member. Honestly he didn't care about that, he only cared if they could give him the strength he needed.

Entering the guild hall, his eyes shone brightly, red lights that pierced through the shadows. His glance, passing over everyone there. He wasn't seizing them up, but rather evaluating what they were and could do. His footsteps echoed as the voices quieted. He was used to this, and it was comforting actually. Alakai put his hand in his pocket, and with the other, brushed his fingers through his hair. A mannerism that he could not get rid of easilly.
He sat at a table, propped his feet up, naming that table as his own. Whispers erupted from neighboring guild members. He couldn't hear them so they did no damage, however it left a tick in his jaw. They might as well insulted him outloud instead of being cowards. This was the first guild he had been to in a long time, and they couldn't even show some decency as to welcome him? How pathetic.
Alakai grinned as he set himself above everyone else, and seeing that grin, a member walked up and slammed his fist down on the table , " How dare you just walk in here like this?! " His voice erupting over all of the whispers. Alakai just laughed maniacally, a scary laugh as behind it was the power of a monster, " This is my guild now, you will all come to realize that soon enough." With that, he stood up and walked out of the doors and into the setting sunlight. If they weren't all carefull, they would end up dead.

Personality: There are some that say there are only two powerful emotions, that tower over the rest; Greed, and Love. A man could go a lifetime without Love, and know Greed, but it is impossible for a man to know Love, and not Greed. Alakai, he had Love, but never knew it, and left room for Greed to infect him. Ever since he was a child, Alakai has had hatred and envy in his heart. Being picked on, and tortured, he turned cruel, and cold hearted; not giving a damn about anyone but himself. Always hungry for more power, he is willing to further sacrifice what is needed to achieve this. His first power dosage, he had to sacrifice 13 souls for; clearly he is unafraid to do worse.
His past still creeps up on him every once in a while. He has nightmares of imprisonment; years behind walls. Yet the idea of eternal damnation doesn't frighten him. He wants to pursue a life of immortality, and that is his priority. To everyone around him, Alakai is viewed as beautiful, charming, and sophisticated, when really he is sadistic, greedy, and cold. He views himself higher than anyone else, and would go to extreme measures to prove it. His intimidation abilities get most things done for him, but they didn't name him 'The Reaper' for nothing. He has killed before, and everyone knows it.
In battle he is calm and collected and is a very relaxed individual. He seems to believe that his power is absolute, or, at least, greater than anyone else's: in battle, he often expresses boredom with his opponent's lack of strength, leading him to exude an air of superiority. He seems to be sadistic; when he finds a strong opponent, he will make them suffer. Alakai maintains an outwardly professional demeanor, but is loyal and friendly to a select few, and has a dry sense of humor. He is confident to the point of arrogance, and it could be argued he has the right to be.
Well-spoken and graceful, Alakai is calm, collected, and in control. He can be frustrated and caught off guard, but this rarely happens.Following his fall into possession, Alakai has most of the above personality traits, but becomes murderous and vengeful. He has become cruel and enjoys mentally torturing those he feels deserve it, which is just about anyone who stands in his way. pushing people away who try to connect with him. Alakai doesn't want relations, he wants too be feared and loved at the same time. He wants devoted followers, but doesn't want to care for them in return.
Alakai is a servant to the Reaper inside, even though his body serves as little more than a avatar. Alakai posseses incredible skill with manipulating people, this is because of his great skill with intimidation and acting. He enjoys toying with people like puppets on strings, using every bit of dark information he can get his hands on to destroy one another. Humiliation and shame is what he uses most, as is it revenge for all those years he was laughed at. He wants the world to feel his pain.

Hair: As it runs in the Kaido blood line, Alakai has dark brown, almost black hair. He keeps it more than finger length, as he has a mannerism of running his fingers through it. It appears well kept, but he really doesn't have to do anything with it at all.
Eyes: Because of the Reaper possession within his soul, Alakai has blood red eyes, that glow even in the dark. They are large and thin looking, which can enchant people as they look in them.
Skin Tone: Not exactly pale, but he has a light skin shade. As he doesn't go out into the sun very much. It bugs him, and he feels it is too hot.
Appearance: Alakai has been noted as an extremely handsome and elegant individual by wizards and non alike. He has scarlet-red eyes (due to his spiritual connection with the Reaper within), and dark dark hair. He is usually seen wearing a white suit, with a long black coat over. The suit is stark white and he likes to keep it that way, thinking it is a waste to spoil it with stains. His black coat trails down to ankles and has gold trim. On normal days, when he feels like being casual, he wears a button up black or white shirt, with a few buttons undone, revealing his guild symbol. Alakai has a stoic and regal demeanor, and he inspires awe and respect from guildmates and foes. This relates to his enormous reserve of raw power, which is both a blessing and a burden for him. The duty of bearing the responsibility of such power is what causes him to act reclusive and seemingly apathetic. However, his composure is sometimes broken by his perplexity and ineptitude to handle his past. However, even when he is truly distressed, Alakai has the same dutiful and unfazed countenance.
