Player Requirements: Thread must be at least 20 posts long. C Ranked Wizards or Above. Or a combination of two D Ranked Wizards or more. 250 Words Minimum Each Post.

Job Requirements: Stop the paranoid Wizard and his cronies from attacking civilians in the market. Stop him before he's able too harm or kill 15 people. Must defeat ONE group of Henchmen or Cocky Fire Wizards and either the Insane Fire-Make Wizard, or the Mind Wizard. 3 wizards Max Allowed on this Mission / Job.

(Note: If you roll for the Mind Wizard and he appears, the Insane Fire-Make Wizard's spell will be broken, and he will flee the scene in horror of what he's done alongside any Henchmen, or Cocky Fire Wizards, who will also be freed from the spell, as the Mind Wizard is interested in fighting you with no help, on his own.)

Job Location: Oak Town

Job Description: A wizard is loosing his mind slowly, but surely in Oak Town. You've arrived on the scene shortly after a mission was hurriedly posted on the board. For the past few days, a Fire Wizard has been heading too the market with his band of wizards and attacking innocent civilians, claiming that they're Demons. It would appear that he's under some form of enchantment or spell that's controlling his mind. He still has his intelligence and still, he and his minions are a huge threat too those around them.

(Note: At the end of each round, he will roll a random Fire spell against a nearby group of civilians, a single civilian, or a shop / establishment. If you roll a miss, it misses. If you roll an attack, it lands and you loose 1 out of the 15 individuals you're supposed too protect.)

(Note: The name of the Wizard, and or his group of cronies is up too you.)

Enemies:
Weak: Henchmen Fire Wizard x3 (These guys use D-Ranked Fire Spells, mostly Fire Balls and Fire Streams that don't do too much damage. They can catch things on fire however. They go down in usually one hit, two at the most of any rank.)

Normal: Cocky Fire Wizard x3 (These guys use C-Ranked Magic, and are very skilled. They sling AOE fire spells at you, along with normal fireballs and fire streams. They take four C-Ranked hits each too defeat.)

Strong: The Insane Fire-Make Wizard (The source of the problem. A young wizard with a long blue coat with red runic markings on it. He has face length blue hair that sweeps around his face, with a deranged look and a constant toothy smile that just screams "I'm insane.", he uses a plethora of C-Ranked spells at rapid speed, and has a B-Ranked AOE fire spell that will deal incredible damage if you're hit by it. At the end of every turn, he rolls a "Damage Die" too see if he harms / kills one civilian or a nearby building / establishment. Takes 15 C-Ranked hits too defeat.)

Boss: Mind Wizard (The REAL source of the trouble in Oak Town, this guy brought the Insane Fire-Make Wizard under his control with his magic, so beware. He's a force too be reckoned with. If he appears, he will attempt too bring the civilians under his mind control, and force them too attack you. He uses Darkness-based magic along with his psychic abilities. Each round, he rolls a "Damage Die" if he misses, then he doesn't bring anyone under his control, if the Attack goes through then a group of civilians will attempt too impede your fight against him. Takes 20 C-Ranked hits too destroy. Will shield himself with Darkness-based magic, and strike with blasts of Shadows, and cause whipping shadows too jump from floors/walls/alleyways. Is very quick, and can have clouds of darkness lift him off the ground too get aerial and fight from rooftops. Good luck. His spells are C-Ranked, and B-Ranked.)

Zhu sighed as he walked through the market in Oak town. He was trying to look around for a decent weapon smith. Somewhere that he could find the weapon he had been dreaming of for several weeks. He couldn’t place his finger on the weapon, but he knew it was a sword a sword that any warrior would be more than happy to wield. He looked through the crowds of people trying to find the location of one such weapon smith, or perhaps just a weapon stall where he could purchase such a blade that he has been seeing in his sleep. He looked around Oak Town with a soft smile on his face. Granted he loved nothing more than the battlefield, but it was nice to enjoy the quiet life.

He sat down at a café and began to eat a small meal while enjoying a nice stiff drink. As he sat there however he couldn’t help but be a little on edge. He just really couldn’t relax in everyday life, that was his true problem. He watched a few girls pass by him giving him even double takes. They admired his body the tanned skin he had, his exposed muscles and even his guild tattoo that was sitting on his stomach. He couldn’t help but smile at this because it was always nice to be given such attention. Still he wouldn’t let it go to his head as that was the quickest way to defeat. As he sat there however he heard a loud commotion from the market and rushed towards the sounds of screaming.

'Monster Dice' :

Zhu arrived on the scene to see several screaming civilian’s run away from a group of magi that had just arrived. The one in the middle seemed to be seriously unbalanced as he had a really demented look on his face. Zhu frowned and didn’t want to give them any chance to get the drop oh him. He slowly clapped his hands together “Green Dragon.” He said as he pulled his hands apart his crescent blade appeared in his hands. As he gripped the pole of the weapon and moved forward one of the mages saw him. He smirked and launched a fireball directly at Zhu without any warning or provocation. Zhu frowned and began to spin Green Dragon in front of him as fast as he could.

As the fireball came closer Zhu spun Green Dragon even faster and the fireball was ripped apart by the violent air current that was created by the spinning weapon. This caused the fire Wizard to look very afraid. Zhu didn’t need any more time now he was going to slaughter these wizards and that was the last word on the subject. He charged forward much to the terror of the wizard. He was quick to cast another spell this one was a stream of fire. Zhu sighed and spun his blade just like before but this time using two hands to make it funnel the air forward. As the flames hit the funneled air they ignited and shot back towards the fire wizard and his friends bathing them in flames.

Green Dragon Duration Start

The mages really didn’t seem all that bothered by the flames, but this was something that Zhu expected seeing that they were using fire magic to begin with. He couldn’t really understand why it was that way, but it was. He had to refocus his mind and focus on the battle at hand. Zhu really didn’t want to let this battle drag on any longer than it had to so he charged the fire mage as fast as he possibly could. His plan was to stay in close and kill as many of them as he possibly could in that amount of time before he got burnt up like a marshmallow. He managed to close the distance rather quickly and he stabbed the blade of his weapon into the first of the fire mages hitting him in the thigh.

The mage let out a great scream of pain as he felt the blade slice through the skin on his thigh. This served as a good strike. He pulled the blade back towards him and he was quick to slam the pole of his blade into the fire wizard’s head. With the fire mage Dazed and stunned for the time being this allowed Zhu a bit more breathing room than he had originally anticipated. Zhu was not about to let this opportunity go to waste. So with that in mind he quickly stabbed the mage in the chest one final time to send him to the afterlife. One enemy down two more left.

With one of the fire mages dealt with this brought the playing field down more so that he could in fact have a much fairer fight. Zhu didn’t waste any further time with his luck. He needed to keep his hot streak rolling while lady luck favored him to win. He turned around and faced the next opponent. He struck this wizard with the blade of Green Dragon, and smirked as he watched the blade cut through the mage’s calf. He felt heat coming from behind him however, and this forced him to roll away as he tried to avoid the attack that he could literally feel coming.

He wasn’t a moment too slow, as the moment he was away a great fireball sailed past where he had just been standing a moment prior. Another thankful event in this tale was that the fireball hit the mage’s friend and continued to push the battle in Zhu’s favor. This mage was forced to try and put out the flames that had caught on his jacket. Eventually he decided to throw it off of him, but for the most part the mage was unscathed. At least he didn’t react to pain from heat, but Zhu thought this to be pretty normal among fire mages. Still he knew it hurt the mage and this is what he needed now more than ever. Lady luck was really on his side and he was going to take all of the help he could get from allies, luck, or otherwise.

With his back now to open space and no one behind him Zhu was ready to strike back. Zhu stepped forward towards the mage who attacked him, and slashed his blade down the chest of this foolish mage who was stupid enough, and cowardly enough to attack Zhu whilst his back was turned. The slash wasn’t deep enough to kill, but it was a very bad wound. If it were to be untreated would prove to be a fatal one. Zhu wanted this to serve as a lesson to someone who would be so cowardly to attack a man while his back was turned. This kind of behavior he never forgave and it was unbecoming of someone who dared to call themselves either a warrior or a mage for that matter.

He quickly turned around and skewered the mage through the chest. This was the mage he had previously been attacking sending him into the next world with his companion before him as company. Due to the fire ball, the calf wound, and now this that mage was dead before he hit the ground. This left only one of the mages that was still a threat. Zhu would be able to finish this one rather quickly as he was already seriously wounded. Zhu took a step forward and slapped the side of the mage’s head with the flat of Green Dragon’s blade. With one final move he whipped around and cut the man’s head clean off now having dealt with the cannon fodder he could focus his attention on the real threat.

The crazed wizard who brought the three fire wizards with him was all that was left. Zhu didn’t expect this fight to be easy or even to be quick so he made sure he was ready for whatever would came at him. He turned and faced the mad wizard blade in hand. The mad wizard’s face was contorted in a psychotic smile it was truly nerve racking to witness, but Zhu wasn’t so easily deterred. He was a warrior, and he would let no man stop him from his duties regardless of what, or whom they may be. Instead all he did was grip Green Dragon a bit tighter in hand and stand his ground.

As the wizard turned to him he spoke “I’m insane! Burn!” from his hand emerged a pillar of flame. The flames were fast, and just too fast for Zhu to dodge completely. He did give it his best effort by jumping and rolling away, but his Hakama pants came ablaze. He was quick to smother the flames on the ground. He swore softly to himself as he felt the heat and pain of the flames knowing full well he would have to replace the Hakama pants. With the immediate danger on his physical form dealt with he took this time to strike back. He whipped around to strike the insane wizard with his blade. Zhu aimed the strike the best he could, but with the pain in his leg he only managed to cut him on his leg.

The insane wizard screamed in agony as he felt the blade of Zhu’s Green Dragon bite into his flesh. Rarely had he felt such pain, but he would no longer forget it. He launched a great fire ball into the nearest building causing it to explode from the impact. Zhu’s heart sank as he watched the building go up in flames. He now felt a renewed sense of purpose for stopping this mad man. He didn’t want anyone to get hurt and thankfully he didn’t hear any screams coming from inside the now burning and partly exploded building. This was the best thing for him right now as it meant no one was hurt inside of the building.

Zhu turned his head to look at the wizard who cast yet another flame spell at him. Flames came pouring out of his palm in a column of heat and flames. Zhu was just far too close in order to dodge anything. He swore loudly as the flames licked at his left arm and left side of his chest. He smacked the Wizard’s hand away with the blade of green dragon before slicing it to try and cut the thing off. He succeeded in getting the insane wizard to stop attacking him with that flame attack. He didn’t suffer too serious burns second and a bit of third degree burns on his arms. He wasn’t going to let these little wounds stop him from protecting everyone else around the town. He shook himself off and brandished green dragon before him standing there looking fierce.

Zhu had to be careful at this point the insane wizard wanted his head now and that would be serious. The wizard looked at him screeching “I’m Insane!” with that another giant fireball came screeching towards him. Zhu bit down on his lip and sighed. He couldn’t get away, but he couldn’t dodge it either. He swore as he spun Green Dragon in front of him trying his best to disperse the flames. He managed to do just that as the vortex he created fanned the flames away from him and as they flew away from him they died away not hurting any of the buildings or any of the civilians that were still in the area. Zhu saw one or two, and couldn’t understand what their malfunction was.

Their survival instincts were almost non-existent, but his were stronger than ever. He watched the wizard with a deadly gaze. He knew that Green Dragon was about to expire, but he also knew that he had one last true trick up his sleeve to play. He was going to play it now. He raised Green Dragon to the sky and soon electricity filled the blade of his weapon. The moment it was full in place he leveled the weapon and the bolt of lightning shot out towards the insane mage. The bolt of lightning was far faster than anything the fire mage was used to and it struck him full blast in the chest. No sooner had the bolt struck him however than green dragon vanished from Zhu’s hands.

With green dragon gone Zhu had to quickly come up with another weapon to try and use. So he made his decision. He knelt down to the ground and placed his palms flat down on the ground. As he pulled them up two blades formed under each of his hands. He continued to pull them back until they cleared the ground. He gripped the handles and the blades became tangible. These were the twin blades “Ice Demons”. With these weapons Zhu had only one option. It wasn’t a decision he really needed to make. He made the decision that he had to stay in close.

With that in mind he rushed forward trying to zigzag the best he could. Thankfully the wizard was far to insane to be able to track this movement it was all the time that he needed in order to get in close. It also helped that since he had taken a full blast from Green Dragon’s ability he was now stunned for a short time. He stabbed the insane wizard in the side of his torso, but the wizard didn’t let pain stop him. Instead he screamed and began to breath fire from his mouth almost as if he was completely insane, or possibly a dragon. Zhu swore as he ducked away trying to dodge the majority of the flames and being able to succeed. He whipped around his blades in hand and he jumped back several paces. Staying in close wasn’t a viable option. So he had only one more choice left to him.

As Zhu leapt away the mage was no longer stunned and he screeched in annoyance and pain. He looked at another building and shot a torrent of flames at it. As the flames filled the building Zhu made his move to attack his enemy.  He held his hands to either side of him “Dance My Blades.” As soon as he spoke the blades began to dance around him forming a disc with him at the center of it. The spell was ready to move and it lifted up over him and then the moment it cleared his head it soared as fast as it could towards the insane wizard. The blades looked like a saw blade as it traveled towards the target and it was an imposing sight.

The insane mage didn’t even notice it until it was far too late. He was busy torching the building and enjoying it as if he was a child having fun at a playground or the fair. The blades smashed into the insane fire wizard slicing his back twice before they surged back to Zhu’s waiting hands. The Wizard screeched in pain as he tried to reach the wound that was on his back. As the blades came back to Zhu however he wasted no time in trying to assemble them together. He needed time to do this as it was a screw system and it took some time. Thankfully with the wizard distracted time was all he had of him to form his blade staff.

The moment he finished putting it together he slowly blew his breath on both of the blades that made this staff. He smiled as he saw steam coming off of them clearly they were as cold as ice by now. He then looked at the fire mage who was now fully focused on him once more. He screamed “I’m Insane!” and with that began to weave hand motions for some reason. Zhu could only assume it was to cast a spell of some kind so he was quick to act. He rushed forward the blade staff in a horizontal position to the side of him as he ran holding it with one hand the other hand in front of him for all the good it would do him.

He just wasn’t fast enough however and the fire mage managed to get off a rather large spell. This was a fireball easily bigger than Zhu was. Zhu swore loudly as he rolled away, but as he rolled he sliced part of his arm. This caused him to curse even louder as he could feel the effects of Ice Demons’ ability starting to take over. This was a bad move not only for him, but for everyone around who was depending on him to slay the insane man and keep them safe. He groaned as he got up and began to run again, but this time he was at a much slower pace, and the insane wizard caught up on that as well and he smirked as he threw another fireball into a building.

Zhu watched in horror as he watched the building go up in flames; he needed to end this fight now more than ever. He growled and tried to rush towards the fire mage his speed was slow, but he was able to close the distance this time. He quickly slashed his blade staff across the Fire mage’s midsection as he was too distracted by the amount of fun he was having burning down the town around them. He screeched in pain as he felt the cold metal blades cut into his skin, but what he wasn’t ready for was the next strike that created the second half of the X strike across his midsection.

Zhu smirked as he back peddled away dealing another strike to the mage’s arm as he did so. These strikes had definitely slowed the mage down, and it was truly a blessing. He was now 75% slower than he was at the start of the fight, while Zhu was only 25% slower. He was now faster than his opponent and that was always good news. He watched as the fire mage screeched and even tried to lift his arm to make a fire ball happen, but as he raised his arm it was at a far slower pace than he would’ve wanted this left Zhu with plenty of options for attack. He decided that he didn’t want the fire mage casting anymore spells so he rushed over and slapped the mage’s arm down with the flat of his weapon.

Zhu knew he had to make a move soon. He could feel Ice Demons getting ready to leave him and that their time was nearly expired. He had to start making moves faster or he would never be able to kill this mage before the time had come. He didn’t want any more buildings to get hurt, and certainly didn’t want the civilian’s in the area to get hurt because he couldn’t work faster. So he was going to start stepping his game up and that was the end of that discussion. He took another step forward and stabbed his sword into the fire mage’s thigh sending it in as deep as he possibly could. He wanted to cripple the fire mage and from the looks of it that is just what he did.

The mage screeched as he tried to stand up, but the pain shot through him and he was forced to kneel back down. Despite all of that though the fire mage wasn’t about to give up on this fight without giving one hell of a fight himself, he looked up at Zhu and spoke again “I’m Insane!” this time he unleashed a torrent of flames from his hand. Zhu was faster this time as the slowed down Fire Mage had already tasted the poison that was the cold metal of the Ice Demons. Zhu was out of the line of fire before the first blast even left the Mage’s hand, and with that last move of dodging his time was up and Ice Demons vanished into thin air in his hands.

Zhu didn’t even worry about this minor hiccup in his plans instead he simply held his arms out to the side of him as extended as they possibly could be. In that moment his next weapon appeared. These were his beautiful weapons of warfare. They were his Warrior’s Glaives and they were perfect for what he was planning to do now. He rushed up behind the fire mage and began to slash at his back. He only managed to get the mage’s back twice before the mage screeched and as he did so he sprayed a torrent of flames from his mouth at Zhu’s direction as he cut up his back. Zhu swore softly as he jumped backwards thankfully out of the range of the flamethrower coming from the mage’s mouth.

Zhu really wasn’t sure how this mage was able to breathe fire out of his mouth, but he wasn’t really about to stop and ask an insane man how he can be a dragon. That would be beyond moronic. So instead he simply was ready to attack. The mage tried once more to get up and stand, but this time he actually managed it. This caused Zhu to be very surprised by this little feat of amazingness. Zhu couldn’t help but be slightly impressed with this insane fire mage. Still he was going to kill him and stop his insane rampage. This thought made him rush forward with his blades at the ready to slice up the fire mage even more.

There was something now bubbling deep inside of Zhu he could feel his bloodlust rising up in his gut. He trembled with joy and his eye seemed to glaze over. He wanted nothing more than to chop this mage up into little tiny pieces. In fact that was what he was going to do. He rushed forward his blades at the ready one in front of him one behind him both of them were ready to be used against the mage. As Zhu closed the distance and finally reached striking distance he spun in a circle delivering slashes across the fire mage’s torso. The fire mage screeched in pain as he threw a fireball at Zhu. At this close range Zhu couldn’t dodge it, but he didn’t let it stop him.

Zhu could feel his skin burning and the pain from it was beyond what Zhu had felt before, but he wasn’t about to let it stop him. Instead he simply continued to slash away at the fire mage before he leapt away. He panted heavily as he knelt down onto one knee trying his best to maintain his composure. Zhu was simply unaccustomed to being burned alive, and it was truly beyond what he ever thought was possible. Zhu made up his mind that he wasn’t nearly finished yet. He rose to his feet only to see another fire ball flying at him. He looked behind him and there were people behind him. He swore loudly and threw his glaives in front of him hitting the fireball. The glaives were shattered by the blast and Zhu was now weaponless.

Zhu swore loudly as he watched his weapons break right in front of his eyes. He shook his head in utter disgust as he watched them shatter. He quickly opened up his right hand and inhaled deeply before he howled as loud as his lungs were able to allow. The insane fire mage was caught off guard by this, and so were most of the people around him, but Zhu knew what he was doing. In his hand appeared his blade Wolf Slayer. He smirked and rushed the fire mage and slashed him across the chest. The mage was suddenly knocked off his feet by some unknown force. He looked at Zhu who simply smirked bigger showing some of his teeth in the process the sight a fearful one to those who saw it.

The mage jumped to his feet and began to chant loudly. Suddenly around Zhu appeared a giant ring of fire that was low to the ground spreading towards Zhu. Zhu swore as he jumped out of the ring and rolled as he hit the ground. He could feel the burnt skin of his body crunching as he rolled, but he swore and just kept moving. As he neared the mage he began to slash at the mages shadow with each hit the mage was knocked back a step or two. It was clear that Wolf Slayer wasn’t actually coming in direct contact with the fire mage’s skin, but it was clear he was being struck by some unseen force.

The mage screamed in his total fury as he felt himself being smashed around with no rhyme or reason as to a cause. He turned to the nearest building and sent a great fireball surging into the door of it causing the whole building to go ablaze. Zhu’s heart dropped deep into his stomach, and he just couldn’t believe that someone would go around and attack so many helpless people, and put a town in danger for no real reason. Zhu was beyond hatred for this man, and he wouldn’t let the man leave the township alive. He rushed forward and slashed his blade across the mage’s shadow once more. He continued to strike the shadow with his blade as fast as he possibly could. Each strike of the shadow was translated into a blow against the mage.

As the mage was struck he kept being pushed back strike after strike everyone around could see the mage being set backwards. No one knew what was going on especially not the mage who was being struck. While it may have been a mystery to everyone else Zhu was perfectly content with the blows he was dealing. Granted it would take him far longer to defeat the mage using this kind of technique, but he was still going to defeat the mage even if it took every last breath in his body to do so. He was about to strike again when the mage lashed out his hand covered in flames and he was trying to aim a hit against Zhu’s body.

Zhu smirked and struck the mage’s arm with blade and ability this time causing the mage to scream in pain once more. Zhu took this opportunity to speak his tone one of gloating “I bet you’ve been wondering why you keep feeling as if you’re getting hit when my blade doesn’t connect to your body.” The mage screeched “I’m insane! Burn!” a new spell came and it was a flaming whip Zhu struck the shadow of the whip and it was sent flying back at the wizard “You see this sword is something special. I can strike shadows and deal damage. So as long as you are casting a shadow I can strike your shadow and hurt you no matter what! Give it up! Just curl up and die gods damn you!”

The mage jumped to his feet and began to breathe fire once more. Zhu jumped and rolled hissing in pain and agony as he felt his burned up skin crinkle and crack under the weight of his body rolling. He knew his body would suffer greatly for this battle. He whipped around and slashed his blade against the back of the mage’s leg slicing it open and hitting the back of the mage’s thigh cutting it open. This was the move that Zhu needed. He needed to keep this mage from moving and now with a hole through one thigh and the other thigh cut open it would mean that the mage wouldn’t be moving any time soon and this is what Zhu wanted.

The mage was in so much agony that he tried to move, but he wasn’t able to do so. He also wasn’t able to cast any more spells due to how much pain was coursing through his body and mind. Zhu smiled with a wicked grin as he stood up slowly wincing in pain. He was in incredible amounts of pain. He had been burned up by several different fire attacks, and to be honest he was surprised at himself for somehow being able to stand up on his own. He looked around to see all of the damage that the mage had wrought, but his eyes suddenly went wide as he watched one of the buildings collapse upon itself. Zhu’s anger increased tenfold and now he turned his attention back to the mage who was responsible for everything.

He walked over kicking the mage onto his back as hard as he could as he held his sword tighter in his hand “Now it’s time to end you!” the mage coughed lightly as he spoke “I’m…insane…burn…” he opened his mouth and out came a torrent of flames. Zhu screamed in agony as he was being burned up. He could feel his skin coming off in some places, and the already burnt skin was now even more susceptible to the flames, and the agony just kept building. He quickly swung his sword and cut the mage’s head clean off severing it from his body. That stopped the flames and put an end to the wizard.

Zhu gave one last defying holler of pain before he collapsed down on the ground the pain sending him straight into unconsciousness. For a while the world was black to Zhu and finally after several hours Zhu shot away swinging Wolf Slayer around wildly. He realized he was in the hospital and suddenly relaxed. He dismissed the weapon and summoned up Iron Fang and set it down on the bed next to him. He looked to the door and saw a doctor standing in it. Despite the fact that Zhu had woken up swinging a weapon the Doctor didn’t seem at all disturbed by this in fact Zhu imagined he was the coolest man in the world, and this was something considering his line of work.

Zhu looked himself over and saw that his burns were for the most part healed up, but it was plain as day he would need a lot of time to rest. The best part about it was that his Guild tattoo had managed to go unscathed, and this was something Zhu considered as a win. He loved his tattoo with all his heart like he loved the guild. He then noticed that his fur vest was gone, and he assumed it couldn’t be saved. Zhu looked to the doc and sighed “Well thanks for patching me up, but I’ve gotta report back to Lamia Scale.” The doctor nodded his head lightly “Thank you for saving us. You’re always welcome here.” Zhu smiled as he picked up his sword and headed out of the door back to Lamia Scale.
