Under the Nights Sky (guild intro for all)

Alexander was waiting patiently in front of the structured and rebuilt mansion looking over the water’s edge. The place seemed calm and serene, but deep inside knew that today was going to change many lives. Today was going to be the day the outcasts, downtrodden and the crazies unite under a single banner consisting of freedom, power and unity.  There was nothing holding him back now, except finding people that would follow his cause. Would they? He would have no grudge on anyone who refuses or chose to leave immediately, this was by choice.

There were several tables laden with food, alcohol and pure merriment for all to see. This was supposed to be a celebration after all! However with the way Alexander was treating the guest's there was an ulterior motive. Some of them already knew what he was planning, others were still in the dark. However after tonight everything was going to be clear. There would be no mistaking the cause and goals of said person, the passion was there.  Something eventful was going to happen, this much was for certain. So with a smile he raised his glass and started his speech. He had a calm personality and looked at everyone straight in the eyes.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you all for coming here today. Many of you know why we are here, others don’t have a bloody clue. Well I am here to clear that for you. Many of us have felt the chains of the Magic Council restrict us, control us and worse of all denying us to be the best damn mages Fiore has ever seen. The Magic Council’s corruption have cost the people of Fiore. However I propose another solution, some may deem the idea as a taboo, evil and traitorous. However I see it as a chance for freedom, a chance for us to rise above our station given to us. I propose that we unite to form our independent guild Nox Animus, The Nights Soul. ”

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Victoria's high heels made a simple sound of tapping as she walked through the dark city. Her hands remained in her pockets while she was walking. The cold air didn't bother her as much as the fact as the fact that she was in a ship. By far, it hadn't moved, but she knew it would. Why was then Nox Animus called the allways moving guild? She shivered and bought her purple jacket closer to her body, although it wasn't cold what she felt, but nausea. Buria followed her, pretty silent. It hadn't been much since Victoria had discovered that the mythic Byakko could talk, and since she discovered it, her pet hadn't closed his mouth for a second even, but now he was too silent. She moved a hand towards the wound she had recieved before a few days. She had recieved it in her last meeting with Yukine, and it was still in a process of geting cured. A growl escaped her lips and she let it alone.
''Anything wrong, Buria?'' Victoria asked, glancing back. The black lightnings mover around her body silently, carelessly, giving her a perillous attire, but also the one of a Goddess.
'' I'm just, not sure about this... It's a dark Guild after all.'' Buria said with his deep Voice. A sigh escaped Victoria's lips and she looked forwards once again.
'' We've talked about this. Please, don't make me repeat it for the fifteenth time this week.'' She said with a soft, yet authoritary voice. The mage stopped before a big building that had Nox Animus' symbol. Here we are, She thought. Her hands smoved to her hair and pulled it backwards, then back to her pockets. Buria sighed and followed his master to the door of the Guild.

Knock, Knock.

Victoria knocked with her left hand and opened the door at once. She wasn't the typ of girl that would open the door little by little in case there was a monster hiding behind it. If there was any monster, she was sure she could take it. Her eyes traveled around the room. It was big, very big, full of tables with food and alcohol. Victoria continued looking around until her eyes landed on a too familiar figure.

'' Hello, Alexander.'' She said with a soft voice.

Victoria's appearance:

Indar was walking towards the manor, well more dragging himself. He was quite tired and wasn't exactly sure why he had taken up Alexander's offer. This would be a pain for him, with this stupid lacrima in his chest. It did provide him with strength and the ability to eat tasty lightning, but the side-effects. Indar shuddered when thinking about them, it was too horrible. But he did have to face them now, nothing else to do. He wouldn't want to miss this for anything.

As he was walking towards the manor, thought about the guild kept coming up. Who were the members, how many of them, but most of all, who else from the Radiant Dawn team would be joining the new guild. He was really exited to see, almost like a kid on Christmas day. He was smiling, when the manor came into view. It wasn't that impressive as Indar had hoped for, but it really didn't matter.

He sighed, as he pushed the doors open, to see a lot of food and drink. He quickly moved to the nearest table, grabbing a drink and taking a seat. He completely ignored Victoria and Alexander, but started to listen to him talk.

“Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.”

Ray continued walking along the desolate city streets, using the darkness as an efficient cover to go through the streets unnoticed by any potential person that might be there. He was dressed in a suit, an all black thin coat with a dark red shirt underneath, characterized by his all black thin pants and suede black shoes. His blonde hair was carelessly unkempt, but yet, was clean, somehow. His red eyes glinted in the darkness, staring ahead at the path that was to lead him to his reason for coming to this godforsaken place. The guild manor slowly came into view, looming over the dark city, almost as if it was the characterized impending doom soon to cover the city. Ray's demeanor, and stare, were cold, highlighted by his dressing style and the color of his eyes. He moved with a certain fluidity, each step graceful in kind, almost as if he sported little to no weight at all. Scanning the horizon for possible denizens he didn't want to see, Ray's thought processes took him back to the incident that had just happened a few days earlier.


He had his eyes closed, leaning against the cold walls of the small cell he was in, fully aware of the two guards standing outside the steel net that was to be called a "door", although, it didn't resemble a door at all, just resembled a metal grid that would cage you in. Which was it's purpose, after all. The guards were murmuring too loudly, speaking out nasty jabs against Ray, in order to get him worked up, get him to retaliate, so that those sadistic humans could come in and "punish" him in the "name of the Law." Funny, how Law was to be used so carelessly, yet to be enforced by them. Ray had been put here because he was the mastermind behind a network of conmen that had taken a lot of money from the unsuspecting citizens, something which made him smile. Oh, and also because he had impaled another of these "officers", who had come too close to this.."operation", of his. But, his being caught wasn't due to the supposed good work of these enforcers, and Ray knew that they knew that as well. Reputed to be one of the smartest men in all of the country, Ray was quite well known in the illegal circuits for being the man of tactical genius. Which was exactly why they had fortified his cell with more armored guards, and quite a lot of cameras. However, Ray wasn't going to escape all alone, he couldn't do that, and he knew this a bit too well. A certain mage had contacted him, and in order to avoid the uproar that would be caused if he had directly rejected, or accepted, the mage's proposal, Ray had allowed himself to be locked up in here. It was all a matter of time, now, to see whether or not the mage had been truly interested in Ray and his..abilities.

Lost in his thoughts, Ray didn't deem the guards to be of a high importance, having better things to formulate in his mind. Suddenly, the lights of his brightly-lit cell turned off, shrouding him in darkness, as Ray felt an explosion rock the entire prison. Knowing that his time had come, Ray simply smiled, his eyes glinting red as he looked up to the ceiling. The wait had begun.


Ray could now see the enormous double doors of the manor, engraved with the sign of the guild he was asked to be a part of, Nox Animus. Soul of the Night. The name was quite poetic, but the deeds...well, the deeds couldn't be called poetic in any way. He had also done some research on the mage that had contacted him, Alexander Zenneth. He was a soon-to-be-legendary mage, reputed throughout for his dangerous magic and equally dangerous skill with it. He had made this city for it to be away from the rule of the Council. This man, Alexander, couldn't have wanted Ray for anything more than his intelligence, Ray was sure of that. After all, no one knew what Ray's true magic was. There were always speculations, but no one truly knew. Ray pushed forth the double doors, opening them, and entered, only to be greeted by a feast, and the presence of mages he didn't know, however, he could feel their magical energies. Almost everyone had the feel of an ancient magic, but Ray couldn't pinpoint what the magic was, except for the highest amount of energy he felt. It had to be Alexander's magic. He looked at Alexander, who'd begun speaking.

Ray, who'd by now been leaning on the wall, brushed his hair with his hand, putting it away from his face, as he regarded Zenneth with his cold, red eyes, nodded, speaking up. "Well stated, Alexander Zenneth. However, I have a question, and a possible solution. Will the Magic Council not, all at once, decide to strip down what you have created to be your chance for freedom? What keeps us so sure that this city, which can easily be tracked, not be attacked by the apparently legal authorities? I propose a change in design that will allow it to not be tracked, and an implementation of certain security measures that will ensure that this guild will remain to be functional even in the course of extreme stress, or loss of members. After all, direct combat isn't always the smartest way. As for being part of the guild, you have done me a favor by using your energies to break me out from prison, and this idea interests a person like me, so I am all for it. Thank you." Ray's tone was extremely cold, and there was absolutely no emotion in the voice for anyone to sense. He stood up straight, awaiting Alexander's reply. He hadn't yet acknowledged or introduced himself to the other members, as to him, the current ongoings were of greater importance. Go figure.

Ethan had traveled from afar to be present at the mansion tonight. He had heard these rumours circulating about this gathering of several skilled mages and thought he'd at least check it out.
He later learned that it was unsure as to why the gathering was held and what purpose they had. He thought he could at least take a look as he was already on his way. He had decided to dress properly for the evening wearing a formal black suit as to melt in. He noticed several other people enter as he himself drew closer to the gate. He felt various presences inside except those he had seen and decided to knock like those before him and the door immiediatly opened. He entered and reached a great hall which for the moment could only be described as a culinary wonderland. It seems he wasn't the only on to think that way as some punk had seemingly chewed through half of it. He quickly took a seat as he filled a plate for himself while pouring a glass of clear wine. He then noticed a white haired man standing up as he started to speak.

Ethan was least to say speachless, he had imagined it was something big coming from the famed Alexander Zenneth but he hadn't expected something like this. An independent guild that works outside the coucil's jurisdiction? It sounded very tempting to Ethan's ears. He sipped his wine as he let his eyes travel across the hall, he recognised some of them from descriptions of their appearance but one of them caught his attention as he raised his voice in response to Zenneth's speach. He didn't really listen to this second speach as he was busy pondering on his involvement in all this. He reached for something in his pocket and picked up a small vial filled with a clear waterlike substance. He pulled the lid off as he poured the content into the wine. He let it spread with the wine before taking another sip. "That's better....."

Rose stood in a crowd of people with a smirk on her face as Alexander showed himself and gave a little speech. She had put all of her trust in him when she came here because he had saved her from death, so it was the least she could do for him.

She laughed a bit "Heh this looks like it will be fun..." she said looking around at all the people.

The mansion was soon in sight after a long walk, and Hana marveled at it. She had come for the gathering that was being held by Alexander, and had dressed casually for the occasion. A simple black long sleeved dress completed with a pair of flats and a slightly oversized, dark red scarf was wrapped around her neck, hiding a bit of her face. She was fully aware of what Alexander was planning, having heard some rumors about the guild he was forming.

She listened in silence as Alexander gave his speech, casually taking a few sips of her glass of wine every now and then. She fully supported his idea, since she wasn't very fond of the Magic Council. Well, more like she despised the council. She'd had close encounters with Rune Knights before, many of which nearly got her killed or caught. She was quite thankful that they were unaware of her identity still. Taking a sip from her glass of wine, she looked to the door of the mansion. Some, after hearing his proposal, had immediately gotten up and left. She scoffed. Cowards.

Zero stood in the back, mask covering his face, and cloak masking his identity. The people who knew him here knew him as Myst, and Zero wished it that way, specifically for situations like this. Zero liked this idea, and would be willing to join in order to stop the cruelty of the MC, as he knew just what they were up to through his connections, and wanted to see it stopped. He would also be able to pull strings that needed to be pulled, and go places where others cannot. Zero then took a step forward, and said, "I will join you."

"Um...  Vash? Were are... we going aga..again?" asked Vulcanus. "I told you five times already Vulcanus! This is the last time I say it, so listen this time you dumb vulcan! I have heard of a starting guild that plays by it's own rules, and it is having some kind of opening today, so we are going there! And boy, are we lucky I can create these barriers for us to fly on, or else we would not be able to get up to the damn guild," said Vash. Him and Vulcanus were on there way to the town Noximus, which is a giant airship, and inside of the town, is the new guild known as Nox Animus. This is a great ideal! the more people I work with, the better the chance I can make money! thought Vash.

After a while, they had finally made it to Noximus, the giant airship. Vash and Vulcanus stayed on the flying square barriers until they got to the mansion were the meeting was supposedly taking place. As they flew through the city, Vash noticed it's steam punk-ish style. Once they finally got to the mansion doors, Vash made the barriers dissipate, and he and Vulcanus walked into the hall of the mansion. As he walked in, Vash noticed that there were quite a few people there already, and he hoped that none of them would attack the large Vulcan behind him. If they did though, he would attempt to kill them. "I am here now! let's start the party!" shouted Vash.

"Alex." said a voice from behind the man giving the speech. "You sound like an evil mastermind. Well... take away the mastermind part, and that's what you actually sound like." From behind Alexander came a small girl, about ten years looking in terms of age. She looked displeased, like she didn't want to be here. "Legal guilds aren't a bad thing, they're actually quite the good thing." she said, walking around to in front of him. She had come out of the shadows from behind him, so as to make a somewhat inconspicuous entrance.

"Not only that but you told me this guild would only be classified as dark so as not to be bound by the magic council, to allow freedom and more choices. The way you're talking makes it sound like you're starting a rebellion. I'm not okay with that, and I'm pretty damn sure you know this." Priscilla seemed to be getting more and more irritated by the second as she stood there, now looking over the area around her. This was... not what she had in mind when she joined the guild. If she guessed right, this place either wouldn't last long because someone did something to upset a legal guild or...

"I already think this is a stupid idea."

" Hmmmm so Master Zen.... what do you purpose we do.... you say we go independent..... then why not do something to get our name out?.... you know.... roll in the parade and show them that we are serious.... but you need not to consider my oppinon, after all I'm merely a new recruit here. " said Neo nonchalantly as he leaned back on his chair, his orange goggles hung from his neck.

" I think it would be quite interesting to see the MC run about and cower in fear seeing that another dark guild is rising...." Grinned Neo as he he took a sip from a mug of beer he had sitting next to him. He raised his glass and awaited the masters response.
