Dante's Day in Magnolia [Dante l Legacy l Leap][Private]

Dante was lying on a rooftop of some building along the main drag of Magnolia. The sun in his face. He blew his fuchsia bangs out of his face, only for them to fall in front of his eyes again. Dante preferred not to be seen by people unless he wanted a riot chasing him. He figured once it got late enough, he could come out of hiding and take a walk around but until then, he was forced to stay out of sight. He took his handgun out its holster and held it up then aimed it at a funny looking bird that was flying past him. Next thing he knew, he got hit with mushy bird poop. That really pissed Dante off. Without thinking, Dante yelled out in anger "SHIIIIIIIIIIT!!! WHY YOU GOD DAMN BIRD. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!?! I'M NOT YOUR FUCKING BATHROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Then he heard townspeople below the building muttering. Trying to find out where that voice had come from and it didn't take them long either. Shit! I better scram before they find me. So Dante split from the roof, seemingly making it past the crowd of people that were heading up to the rooftop to investigate. Just when he thought he was safe, he bumped into someone.

"SHIIIIIIIIIIT!!! WHY YOU GOD DAMN BIRD. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!?! I'M NOT YOUR FUCKING BATHROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The shriek could be heard from the surrounding streets of Magnolia, home to the Fairy Tail guild. The owner of the voice was unknown to most, including to a certain card mage who had ventured to the town to meet with a close friend. At least, the owner of the shriek WAS unknown until they came hurtling around the corner and collided with the large frame of the Sabertooth Ace. Were it not for the fact Marick gripped the young man's shoulder, the cat-demon would have probably landed ass-first on the ground. "Careful kid, you'll end up hurting yourself." he spoke calmly, a small chuckle being released at the end of the sentence. Marick's thick Pergrande accent was rather distinct in a place like Magnolia, but then again so was this young man's attire. "So what exactly are you running from, eh?"

The person had collided with had grabbed onto his shoulder. "Careful kid, you'll end up hurting yourself." The man spoke softly while chuckling a bit. Dante was thinking he was screwed. This guy was big and he looked strong. Crap, what do I do now? Someone's seen me...
The big guy then spoke, "So what exactly are you running from, eh?" Dante gulped as a big sweat bubble formed on the back of his head. Dante didn't know how to answer the guy's question but he had to say something but of course being that Dante doesn't express himself well, spoke without thinking. "None of your business, old man." He brushed the man off and began to walk away quickly. Dante didn't like people much and it was better for him to keep his distance from humans as much as possible. He then looked back at him "One more thing, you never saw me, i was never even here, got it? Now if you'll excuse me.." With that Dante began to ran off. To get as far away from the public eye as possible.

It seemed the young man was in a rush. Either that or he had no sense of respect. Either way, he'd caught Marick's attention now, and the Solitaire wasn't about to just let this feline fellow disappear without some kind of an explanation. Besides, he'd not even apologised for running straight into the Sabertooth mage. What was more, he'd called him old. Marick pulled out his deck of cards and quickly pulled out the card he needed. He activated the effect; Black Joker. As Dante fled, he would find himself running straight into Marick for the second time. This time however, Marick simply stood with his arms crossed and an eyebrow raised.

"It's awfully rude to run into somebody like that and not apologise or explain your actions..." His voice remained as calm as before, although the look in his eyes suggested to Dante that it would be ill-advised to try running off again. "...and just to clarify, I'm not that old. Now why are you running like you've just robbed a bank? Give me a reason, and I can help you to disappear from this crowd."

Before Dante knew it, he was back in front of the guy before but this time he look a little pissed. His arms were crossed as he looked down at Dante. "It's awfully rude to run into somebody like that and not apologize or explain your actions..." Dante realized it would be pointless to run and he didn't want to engage the guy in public with so many people around. "...and just to clarify, I'm not that old. Now why are you running like you've just robbed a bank? Give me a reason, and I can help you to disappear from this crowd." Dante was surprised to hear him say he'd help him escape but first he would have to explain his situation to this "guilder" as he called mages who belonged to guilds. So, Dante cleared his throat. "Well mister, you see, I'm not exactly human, I'm a cat demon..."Dante's then looked up at him "So, I'm trying to get away from this crowd before they figure out what I am, you know?"

So he was a cat-demon. His reasoning for fleeing was certainly legitimate, although he clearly wasn't so aware of Fiore's borders opening. "You'd be surprised actually. Many people wouldn't bat an eyelid at your appearance nowadays." Marick nodded down an alleyway to motion Dante to follow him, intending to show the cat-demon a good hiding spot. "Since Fiore opened its borders we've had people from Joya coming over to us; people with feline appearance, much like yourself. So long as you don't go nuts and try to destroy the town, you'd probably be fine." the Solitaire continued as he walked towards a set of crates gripped the hilt of his sword and jumped up them almost effortlessly to reach the rooftops. He looked down at Dante and smiled. "Not far now."

"Since Fiore opened its borders we've had people from Joya coming over to us; people with feline appearance, much like yourself. So long as you don't go nuts and try to destroy the town, you'd probably be fine." Dante was really surprised to find out that more people like himself had started coming into Fiore from Joya. It was a real shocker and it made Dante slightly happy to hear it. Dante followed the mage down an alleyway. He jumped up to the rooftop with little effort and Dante followed him. "Not far now." , said the mage with a smile to Dante. His fuchsia ears lowered and looked up to the older mage, "Hey, I'm surprised you would help me, I mean, considering what I am..." It was the first time a human other than his late mentor had treated Dante with kindness and not with fear or hatred. It made him think that maybe not all humans were bad and that maybe Dante had found someone who he could call, a "friend" "...I don't even know your name. Oh, I'm Dante by the way. Dante Kirasaki " Dante waited patiently for the mage's reply.

"Hey, I'm surprised you would help me, I mean, considering what I am...I don't even know your name. Oh, I'm Dante by the way. Dante Kirasaki."

The young cat-demon's voice coming from behind him caused the Solitaire to turn and face the young man, his hand now moving away from the hilt of his sword. "What you are and who you are aren't relevant. It's what you do that matters. You needed help, so who am I to turn away?" Marick chuckled and contemplated offering to shake Dante's hand, but decided against it as he wasn't sure how the young man would react. He'd only just started trusting the Sabertooth Ace after all. "I'm Marick Lowell, a member of the Sabertooth guild. I was a mercenary until recently, working through my life as a solo act much like yourself." The card mage smiled coolly. I may be a guild ace now...but nothing else has changed.

Marick turned his attention back to where he was headed, although he only had to take a couple more steps to see his destination. He pointed towards a rooftop about two buildings away where there was a kind of shelter built atop it. "If you can get across to that rooftop then you'll have a shelter from the public eye, even the Fairy Tail guildmembers who occasionally race across these roofs."
