Enter the Ice Wizard

Upon entering Magnolia town, a young man could be seen making his way along the streets, not really going anywhere it seemed, but just walking around, minding his own business, looking at the sights to see, and making small talk with random citizens. Something about him seemed off, maybe it was his pure white hair, super pale skin, that or the fact he was so small? Or maybe it was his silvery gray blue eyes, or the snowflakes that shimmered on the back of his hands…or was it the small white angel-like wings that were dropping feathers every so often from his back? Who knew? But there was definitely something different about him, and there was no denying it.

Meet Yuki Tsumetai, a seventeen year old youth who also happened to be an Ice Wizard. Although he seemed to be a bit on the odd side, he had a friendly vibe, and a smile could be seen on his face as he walked. At the moment he was talking to a street vender on the side of the street, who was selling some sort of baked good. He wished he could buy something, but he only had about five jewel to his name…and he had to save it. With a wave, he walks off, not even realizing he had taken off his clothing, and was being gawked at. See, Yuki had a bad habit of taking off his clothes and not realizing he had done so, and sometimes he even got into trouble for it.

He ignored the looks he was getting, thinking it was because he was a stranger to the town, and not realizing it was far from that, but the fact he was almost all the way naked, the only clothing he was wearing was his underwear, light blue and silver boxers that ended just above the knee. And it didn’t help the fact much about how skinny he was, or how pale his skin was…though he did have some muscle, it just wasn’t that much. Yuki continued to walk along, enjoying the warm sun that was beaming down on him, though oddly it seemed to be a bit…cooler?

Finally he got tired of the fact that people were watching him, and muttering to each other behind their hands, and wonders what the heck was going on. So, he turns around, determined to get some answers, but wasn’t sure who he should talk to…he WAS new to this place after all. He raises his right hand to his long white hair, and rubs his head, his eyes shifting from left to right, while his left hand rested on his hip. “What is going on? Is it really that weird for me to be here?” He mutters out loud. “Guess it is, by the way everyone keeps looking at me like I’m some sort of alien…”

At the sudden appearance of a person just landing right in front of him from the air, Yuki jumps back, standing in a defensive pose, until he noticed that the man who had appeared was holding something… Were those... his clothes?! He looks down, and notices that sure enough, he was naked, his face turns a bright red, and he grabs his clothing from the stranger’s hands, ignoring the person’s comment, and instead focuses on getting dressed.

Once clothed again, the tension in the area around them died down, and people continued on their way. A loose feather from his wings drifts away on the breeze; Yuki turns to watch it until it was out of sight. He then turns to look at the newcomer, his arms crossing over his chest, and a slight pout on his face. “So uh…thanks for you know, picking my clothes up…” He mumbles, staring down at the ground. Yuki hated having to thank others for things; he didn’t like it when people thought they had to help him.

But then he remembered the person saying ‘you forgot your clothes and food’. He looks up at the stranger, and frowns. “What do you mean I forgot my food? The only thing I forgot was my clothes, I don’t have enough to buy food right now…” He eyes the food that was in the stranger’s hands, and his stomach growls, causing him to get an embarrassed look on his face. “Oh man… It’s been forever since I’ve eaten…”

He eyes the food again, his mouth watering slightly. It had been about three days since he’d had a decent meal, since he had no money, he had to walk everywhere…and the fact he had to walk everywhere, meant he was hungry a lot…which brought him back to the sad fact he had hardly any money to his name to get something to eat. “Um…you think you can give me some of that?” He mutters, once again staring at the ground. “It’s just…I don’t have enough jewel to get a proper meal right now…” He pauses, then looks up at the person. "Oh yeah, and my name is Yuki Tsumetai."

Yuki’s eyes grow wide when the stranger holds the food out, saying that Yuki could have it. “Oh wow! Really?! Thanks!!” He takes it, and devours the food, sighing in satisfaction as his empty stomach was filled with food. It was gone within minutes, and a happy smile forms on his face as he finished it, looking at the man who had now introduced himself as Leonard Dragonbane, but to call him Leo. “Uh, hi. Leo…that’s a pretty cool name!” He grins again, and reaches out to accept the shake, the snowflake on the back of his hand shimmering in the sunlight.

When he was asked what brought him to Magnolia, Yuki scratches the side of his face, a look of concentration on his face. “Hm…I don’t know really. To be honest, I don’t have much purpose to come here…It’s just I like to travel, well…another honest thing is I don’t have any place to stay, so I HAVE to travel…but anyways, since I haven’t been to Magnolia before I thought ‘why not go there? You’ve never been there before, something cool might be waiting for you!’ and so I came here. And that’s about it!”

He grins again, his grin really wide, so that his eyes close partway. He laughs a bit, and when he was finished he looks at Leo. “What about you? Have you always lived in Magnolia? Are you a wizard by any chance?” He looks at Leo’s attire, tilting his head slightly. “You look like one…that or a rune knight…but if I had to choose between the two…you’re a wizard…” He grins again, and waits for a response, another feather drifting off into the wind as he watched the man called Leo.

“So I was right! You are a mage! And from Fairy Tale! WOW! That’s awesome! I’ve heard so much cool stuff about them, they really are the most amazing guild I know of. But even so…” He pauses, and looks away, before moving on, not even finishing what he was about to say, he had almost told Leo something he hadn’t told anyone. “I knew it had to be something of the two, but boy that’s awesome! A mage huh…what magic do you practice? If you haven’t noticed, I’m a mage too! I’m an Ice Wizard…” He grins, and when Leo offers to show him around, he grins even wider. “Sure! That would be great, thanks!”

He turns to walk away, a few feathers drifting off his wings, but he didn’t seem to notice. “Hm…” He looks around, his forefinger and thumb held to his chin, a look of concentration on his face as he looked around, wondering what direction they should go first. After a moment, he picks a random direction, to the east, and begins to walk that way, not even realizing he had once again taken off his clothing, his pants, shirt, and jacket left where he had been standing, and once again people began to gawk at him. “LET’S GO THIS WAY LEOOOO!!!” He calls, sounding really goofy as he held the “o” in Leonard’s name.

Yuki was just turn another direction when he ran smack into Leo, and nearly falls over onto his butt, barely managing to keep his balance. He blinks a bit, before glancing at what was in the other man’s hands, and blinks, before looking down, gawking at himself, and then yells out “CRAP!”, before then snatching the clothing out of Leo’s grip. “Why does this always happen to me? Stupid clothes, stupid, stupid, stupid!” He pulls his pants back on, then his shirt and jacket, making sure that his wings were through the holes that were cut into the backs of the material.

“Much better…” He glares at the ground, a bright red flush on his face, once again he owed Leo a thank you. He hated that fact… “Thanks…again…” He mumbles, before rubbing the back of his neck and starting to walk again, though not as fast this time, making sure that Leo was coming with to show him around. He looks left and right at the different shops, people, and other things that lined the streets. It was all so amazing, he had never found a place he hadn’t liked yet, but he had to say that Magnolia was getting closer and closer to being his favorite so far.

He walks along with his hands behind his head, a cheery air around him, as if he hadn’t the slightest care in the world. But that was a farce, a cover, for the pain that he hid deep inside. He had a dark past, one that he didn’t like talking about, he had almost let some of that slip earlier when they were talking about guilds. He sighs softly, staring at the ground as they walked along, before glancing over at Leo. He wondered if the guy would even care about his troubles or problems, most of the wizards he met he avoided…as much as possible, despite being one himself. But this guy was different, that’s why Yuki hadn’t steered away from him at the moment they had met.
