"Ah, how generous of you to bring one of those dammed cubs as part of the feast! As expected from such renowned mages! We're all very honored to have had you two assist us. From everyone in the village, thank you" the old man said as he walked towards Marick, another, larger man at his side. Probably the butcher. That's when Zenshin stepped in between the two men, the card master and the meat maker.
"We didn't bring it to eat. After seeing what the Grand Lion is capable of, my partner decided to domesticate one of the cubs and nurture it to grow into a Grand Lion that is on our side." he explained, taking a piece of meat off a plate that a woman was walking around with.
"Interesting... domesticating these lions to fight alongside you instead of killing each and every one... Hm. We may try this as well. Thank you for the idea, Marick" he said, honestly intrigued by the notion of doing something other with beasts aside from cooking them.
Their day ended on a good note. Zenshin was able to recruit a new guild member and even show him a preview of what he was all about. He was excited to see what kind of contributions he would bring to the guild, and what he would learn once he was there. Those friends... I wonder he thought for a brief moment as he took another bite out of this meat. Zen was curious why he had to tell these 'friends' of his that he was joining a legal guild. 'They deserved to know' he would say, while Zenshin seriously questioned who they were, it worried him, but not too much. Stop worrying so much and just enjoy the food the village has blessed you with he told himself in his mind as he took another bite of meat, he was sure that he'd know what Marick spoke about eventually.
