Nightmare Incarnate : The Beginning (Chaotic + Hikari)

Hika was, as usual, in her wonderland, dreaming about chocolates and slushies. She giggled slightly and cuddled closer to her blanket when someone poked her in the cheek and whispered words in her ear. She groaned, rolled on the bed and blinked at the person for a couple of minutes until she realized that it was Ayeseru. Immediately, she bolted straight up and waved at him. "Morning Ayeseru!" Throwing the sheets off her, she hopped off the bed still half asleep, her hair messed up. Without saying anything, she rushed towards the bathroom and stared herself in the mirror, shocked by her appearance. No one has ever seen her in this messy and sloppy display. She pulled a long face and wailed, "Geez. This is so embarassing." She looked closer to herself in the mirror. "Did I drool?"

Quickly, she brushed her teeth, washed her face and did whatsoever and within a few minutes, she was casually dressed in her jeans and a hoodie sweater. "Hey again!" She bursted open the bathroom door and beamed at him, feeling sorry for leaving him all alone in her room. "What's up?"

"Hm?" Hika stared at Ayeseru, who showed her a mysterious book and a lacrima which were found in the claws of some kind of bird. She was indeed, bewildered. They sat down together on some chairs and began reading the book, which was more like a journal. A cold shill ran down her spine as she read it. Listening to the lacrima after Ayeseru activated it just made it worse for her. Her face went cold and white immediately as if her blood had been poured out from her body.

Hika stared down at the ground, slightly frightened, as Ayeseru stood up firmly. "Well, Hikari, I apologize for dragging you into this.  You don't have to come with me.  If you want to come with me, that would be great, however, I won't force you into it."

She thought about it for a couple of seconds. Tell you what, Hika was really scared and terrified. Plus, she loathes these kind of things and yes, she's a scaredy cat but well, since she's together with Ayeseru, everything will probably go fine. She shrugged, took a deep breath and looked up at him. "Alrighty. I'm in this." She smiled. "Chop chop. Let's go!"

Okay. What's with the name? Spooky Forest? I hope it doesn't turn out to be spooky, She thought and with that, Ayeseru left the room. She just sat there, thinking about the whole situation for a while before she shook herself into reality. She snatched a water bottle just in case to grab on tight if she got really scared or maybe hit someone with it if anyone tried to hurt her. Weird. ”What am I missing?” Hika scuttled around the room, searching for any stuff she might need. She face-palmed when she realized that she had almost forgotten her iPod. Usually, she’d always carry it around together with her cause she just loves listening to music more than anything. Just listening to a random song makes her feel high like she’s on drugs. Well, anyway, back to the present.

Hika grabbed and stuffed them in her pocket as she rushed out of her room. ”Hey! Sorry, were you wait-“ She began but was cut off by the sudden unfamiliar appearance standing before her. Arching an eyebrow at the wolf, she approached closer to him, attempting to stroke his fur and silently hoping not to bite her hand off. Hika likes, no, loves wolves. They are just so attractive, in a way. Big eyes, pointy ears, thick fur, sharp nose. ”He’s so lovely,” Hika beamed at Ayeseru. ”Well, you ready to go?” She added as she patted gently on the wolf’s head and walked off, not even bothering to wait for Ayeseru to answer her, since she knew he’d be ready for anything no matter what. In no time, they’d be at the Spooky Forest to discover all the mysterious issues.

Hika was grabbed by the waist and suddenly, she was like, travelling in air as if she had wings, almost at the speed of light. Within just a few seconds, they were already at the entrance of the Spooky Forest. Hika was dropped as Ayeseru fell over to the ground, taking deep breaths of air. Woah. He looks all beaten. She crawled towards him and helped to cool him down. "You okay?" She asked, worried. He seemed to have gotten a lot better after a couple of minutes. "We should try that again. It's really awesome!" She exclaimed, her eyes glistening. It was like riding a roller-coaster. Hika took a peek at Ayeseru who looked really solemn about this mission. Is something bothering him? She wanted to ask, but would that be intruding his personal space?

"Are you ready to start this?"

The question startled her. She waited for a second. ”Yep. Let’s go!” Hika flashed a smile at him and gave him a little soft pat on his shoulder. Hope I don’t get freaked out, She prayed silently.

Hikari was prepared to embrace fear, and Ayeseru respected that.  First step into the forest, and a grand, THICK mist mysteriously appeared out of nowhere at all.  The battle with ones mind had already begun.
Walking in the mist in such a fashion and forest would cause most to instantly flee in fear, however, Ayeseru knew it had to be done.  To be honest, it didn't really scare him at all.  He was used to scarier situations, though, it was the start of a bad horror movie.  Ayeseru made sure not to wander too far in front of Hikari; due to the mist, it was troubling to see 5 meters in front of you, not only that, but he was worried as to how the young lady was faring with all of it.
It would be a terrifying experience for most people, after all.

A few minutes into the forest, a loud scream could be heard.  The scream of a man.  The same man that was recording his voice into the lacrima.  His screams were those of great pain or fear, and could be heard faintly in the distance.
Shortly after, the screams became gargles, which, the only real safe assumption to take, would be that the man was gargling on his own blood.  As the noises became weaker and weaker, Ayeseru clutched his fist in anger.  Damn that demon...
He made sure to take a quick glance to see whether or not Hikari was still with him, she was, but, she was about three meters away, Peterus right next to her.

All of the sudden, Hikari could be seen pushed, regardless of the fact nothing could be seen.  As she fell, a loud sound of breaking wood could be heard.  Ayeseru glanced all directions before spotting what it was.  "Hikari!  Watch out!  A tree is falling your way!"
There was no time, though.  He had to act fast.  Using the nearest shadow, he went straight into it, and appeared right out of Hikari's shadow.  He cocked his right leg up, and waited for the tree to completely fall.  The tree was closing in fast, so the next action had to be timed perfectly.
Just before toppling on Ayeseru, Peterus and Hikari, Ayeseru shot his leg up to the tree, snapping it at that location.  Most of the trunk of the tree had fallen in front of him, however, the remaining part was raised by the force and fell just beyond where Hikari would lay.

He rapidly spun around and saw Hikari laying there, still.  He offered his hand to pick her up.  "Are you alright?"

Hika scuttled into the forest right behind Ayeseru. As soon as they entered the forest, a thick foggy mist blurred their vision along with some creepy screams of a man. She held her water bottle tight in her sweaty palms as she tried her best to catch up with Ayeseru. There was no change. At least, not physically in her face expressions or whatsoever. Mentally, she was freaking out. And not any kind of freaking out. This was the kind of freaking out that was almost paralyzing. Maybe, this is too exaggerating. But, she was really freaking out. Goddammit. I hate this. She thought to herself as she tightened her grip on the bottle.

Swoosh! Hika was pushed abruptly towards the trunk of a tree. Her back throbbed in pain as she lay flat on the ground, agonizingly. She heard a breaking sound of a branch, along with a faint yell of … Ayeseru?

"Hikari!  Watch out!  A tree is falling your way!"

Hika didn’t even have time to react. Everything was happening so fast. Unfortunately, she was feeling pretty woozy from the hit too. She swung her arm over her head, just in time when Ayeseru kicked the trunk off, snapping it into half. Her breath softened as he did so, a wave of relief rushing through her body. Grabbing onto the hand that Ayeseru kindly offered, she struggled to get up, her back still pounding in agony. ”Holy cow. My back,” Hika mumbled to herself as she cracked her knuckles and bones. ”Yeah. I’m okay. Thank you,” She added.

'Monster Dice' :

Hika stretched her back and rubbed the place where she got knocked over into a tree. This forest might be really haunted, She thought as a cold shiver went down her spine. JUST for that single teeny-weeny moment, she had such a huge desire to run away from this forest because this is freaking her out so badly. Then, why did she choose to come to this place, you ask? Because she wanted to, because she trust Ayeseru and because she didn't expect it to be this scary. Simple as that. The thick mist blurred her vision completely that she had to walk somehow like a blind person, sticking her hand out and waving it so that she wouldn't bump into any trees. A piercing laugh distracted her from her thoughts. "Holy-... GAHH!" She clasped her ears as tightly as she could. The sound vanished after sometime but her ears were still ringing and numb.

Hika heard something flew rapidly past her, just in time someone pushed her flat to the ground. Swiftly, she turned her head to realize that Ayeseru wasn't nowhere near her anymore. Her heart pounding like a drum in her chest, she panicked as she tried to force her feet to go searching for him. "Ayeseru!" She yelled, her voice echoed through the forest.
"Hikari!  Peterus!  Follow me voice!  I desperately need your help!"
Her head jerked up immediately when she could finally hear the voice of Ayeseru. She nodded at Peterus as she turned on her heels quickly and stumbled down the branches. She was running at full speed, her breath ragged. Abruptly, she stopped her tracks, her sneakers screeched as she did so, when she noticed that she'd reached the edge of a cliff. Panting heavily, she finally found Ayeseru still grasping on the ground, preventing himself from falling. "You ... You okay?" She was finding very hard to breathe. "... Geez. You got me worried there," She stared down at him before offering him a hand so that she could pull him up.

Hikari came to offer her hand just in time.  Ayeseru was digging into the ground so much, that it nearly broke off.  He took her hand, and as he did, the edge he was grabbing had crumbled apart.  Hikari slightly stumbled, but, it was alright, no real harm was done.
"Sorry for scaring you there, Hikari.  Thanks for your help, by the way.  If you didn't come in time, I would've fallen and died."  Just as things were starting to look a bit more positive, the damn abnormal situations just HAAAAD to happen again.  Hikari was pushed off the cliff.
"Hikari!" Ayeseru yelled out before jumping after her, catching her, and holding her close to him.  Peterus went down the normal way, but, that would take some time.  Ayeseru somehow spun around midair so his back would face the ground, so he'd absorb most of the impact and give Hikari a slight chance of surviving.
Crash.

They crashed into something, it wasn't solid, though.  It was a small lake.  As soon as Ayeseru crashed into it, they stayed afloat for a second.  The pain was unbearable.  He had an anime face that looked like her wanted to cry, but he was biting his lips as comical white tears coated his eyes, with the background going slightly purple.  His back was probably strawberry red.
They sunk into the water and Ayeseru had to be dragged out by Hikari.  Before she said anything, he stood up, and said he was fine.  Peterus joined them shortly after.
"Hikari, go on ahead, I promise I'll be right behind you."  She nodded and went on, Ayeseru literally a step behind.
Their journey was pretty boring for a while, to be honest.  For the longest of time, nothing had happened after they fell from the cliff.  Was it possible the beast thought them to be dead?  Of course not.

When they came across a set of crossroads, that's when it began.  Footsteps could be heard from very close.  Branches were being snapped, leaves were being brushed by, and the walking could be heard.  Another loud maniac-like laughter was heard, but this time, it was much closer.  Ayeseru felt as though it was watching them...  Just beyond the mist where it couldn't be seen...  As the laughter ended, the footsteps continued, and they got closer and closer.
Thump, thump, thump.
The noise came from...  Behind?  Ayeseru could feel something breathing by his shoulder.  "I'm behind you..." it whispered.  Ayeseru jumped to where Hikari was standing, and spun her around.  In front of them...  Was the beast.  It was pure black, with hollow, yellow eyes.  Nothing more could be made of it.  It gave a creepy smile, as its teeth could be seen stained with blood.
It came for them all.

Just as Hika finished pulling Ayeseru up from the cliff, she was pushed, again, off the cliff by an ‘unknown’ force. ”Shit! A-aahhh!” Hika flailed, her arms reaching out, as she fell off the cliff but a body held her close. She glanced up to see Ayeseru catching her, his arms embracing around her body tightly. She buried her face close to his chest, silently hoping to survive this somehow. She shut her eyes as they splashed into a lake. Ayeseru, who took most of the damage, looked really pale. Hika dragged him out of the lake and almost began to speak to apologize and ask him if he’s okay but he just claimed that he was fine and told her to go ahead. With that, she blinked, turned on her heels and strode down the path.

Screams were still heard and she could feel light footsteps near her. And that was when it all began. Her very bone marrow stiffened to ice when she felt eyes on her back. "I'm behind you..." She went all bananas. That really made her skin crawl. She even forgot to let out the breath she’d been holding for too long. Ayeseru rapidly spun her around and there it was. The beast with deadly eyes, staring right through her. She gasped, unable to move. God dammit! Do something! She yelled silently at herself.

Hika stumbled a few steps back and stretched out an arm. Guess I have no choice but to attack them. ”Rock Avalanche,” As she mumbled out the words, the rocks around the area started to gather in front of her and charged towards the beast, slamming them hard right in his face. She heard him groan as he threw a glare at her. He seemed unaffected though. His arms suddenly grew so long and they reached out for her. Just as the creepy arms were about to grab her, Hika summoned the boulders, replacing herself with them.

Hikari began attacking the creature in a split second. Instantly, she created a large boulder avalanche, one of the boulders striking the beasts face. Just as it was about to strike her, she replaced herself with boulders. Ayeseru gave a slight grin. It was now his turn to begin dishing out damage as well.

A black, magical crest began forming on the tip of Ayeseru's fingers as it found its way down Ayeseru's arm, cloaking it in a very black darkness, the darkness then taking form of a very small, but precise thin dagger. He took a step forward, as he used shadows to boost himself forward to the enemy, giving him much more speed, making it a tough attack to dodge.

The blade came into contact with one of the beasts tentacles, instantly slicing it from that point and beyond. The demon screamed as blood gushed out of the hole; Ayeseru cockily looking forward as his blade began to slowly merge with the darkness, the spell ending.

Ayeseru thinking that it was simply grasping its tentacle in pain, not moving... Was doing the exact opposite of that. The beast entered an enraged state and swiped one of its tentacles across Ayeseru's face.

It was sharp, and it was hard. That had to be the most powerful attack Ayeseru was hit with, well, ever, so far. It far exceeded his own physical power, which was frightening. He wasn't gonna have a wrestling match with it and pin it down. Not only that, but the tentacles are sharp, which meant that after the demon swiped it across Ayeseru's face, it began bleeding.

Ayeseru jumped back several steps, wiping his face with one of his hands. Looking at the blood for a moment, he glanced up and smiled at the demon. "Ohhh... Being serious, are we?" Ayeseru began giggling in a maniac-like fashion.

"WELL THEN, LET THE GAMES BEGIN!" he laughed in a loud, crazy manner.

Hika watched as Ayeseru sliced the tentacles professionally and then, earned a scratch on his face later. He smirked at the demon and laughed crazily.
"WELL THEN, LET THE GAMES BEGIN!"
The laugh startled her, making her jump lightly. Ayeseru is scary, indeed. She thought as she took up a stance with her feet slightly apart, ready to attack the creature. ”Iron Rock Fist” She whispered to herself. Two huge fists surged up from the ground and stormed towards the demon, blowing out all the sand around with its increasing speed and momentum. The demon swung its tentacle and slashed the charging fist, breaking it into pieces. While the creature was distracted with it, the remaining earth-fist emerged from behind and rammed into its face.

Hika grinned like an idiot for successfully laying an attack on the creature. BUT. The battle wasn’t over yet. The demon’s tentacles swirled their way towards Hika. She immediately shot her legs upwards as the tentacles reached an inch away from her arm. She back-flipped many times just to stay away from those creepy arms; she even lost count of the number and ended up getting dizzy. Finally, Hika managed to stay still on her feet after a couple of seconds. ”Whew…”

Using the confusion that was happening, Hikari had created two large fists made of stone, one which the demon had broken to pieces, the other, not.  It was quite visible that the demon was starting to lose the battle, it stumbled once, which was enough to motivate Ayeseru.

Clever girl, Hikari is...  Seems like lookin' good isn't the only thing she's good at!  Ayeseru giggled.  He showed a bright smile towards the demon, with eyes of a maniac.  Ayeseru was laughing.  He took his hand and grabbed his head, covering his right eye, he was laughing so hard.

"HAHAHA!  This is more like it, isn't it?!  Do you feel afraid, beast?  Well...  I'll give you a reason to be afraid..."  Ayeseru sunk down into the floor like quicksand as he transformed into a shadow.  Due to the mist and darkness, he was perfectly hidden.  He moved around the small area of battle, creating sounds.  Breaking twigs, rocks broken, trees falling...  He was basically recreating the situation he and Hikari were in not long ago.

He appeared behind the beast.  "I'm behind you..." he whispered in its ear.  It instantly turned around and slashed at the mist.  Ayeseru's laugh could be heard off in the distance.  "I'm not there, but will I be under the tree?!"  A tree fused with Ayeseru's shadow body had fallen on top of the beast.  Only its tentacles were caught, but damage severely as it screamed with its demonic voice.

It shoved the trunk off and lashed wildly at the tree stump...  Only to find Ayeseru was gone from there, too. "This time..." Ayeseru paused midway. "I'm truly behind you..." The beast was struck in the back with a fist full of shadows. Ayeseru had cast his Dark Fist spell. The beast flew a few feet before regaining its footing, and roared loudly. It was clearly enraged.

Hika couldn’t believe that Ayeseru had that kind of evil side within him. With widened eyes, she gawked at him as he vanished into the ground. He couldn’t be seen and he was literally everywhere, making noises, breaking trees and everything. ”As expected of the Sabertooth’s Shadow Dragon Slayer,” A smile crawled upon her face. The wind gushed around her as she stretched out her palm and lifted it into the air slowly. The first pillar emerged from the ground, but failed to attack the creature unsuccessfully. Hika furrowed her eyebrows and summoned another pillar as she lifted her palm again. Yet, this time, it failed again. The beast, using its creepy tentacle, slashed her pillar into pieces. It was unbelievably powerful. ”Bastard...” Hika cursed and bit her lip in frustration.

The cool breeze kissed her rosy cheeks and bloated out her silver hair as she crossed her arms in front of her chest and glared at the creature. Hika was pissed, obviously. The ground beneath rumbled slightly and the final pillar was created. It rose up, rapidly, striking the creature. Hika stormed up the pillar and just as the tentacle reached for her torso, she evaded to her right swiftly. There was even no time for her to react. The creature’s attacks were extremely fast. It’s quite a miracle that Hika is able to block these hits somehow. Another tentacle crawled towards her leg. Heedlessly, she cart-wheeled to her right and dodged it. She took this opportunity and round-house kicked the beast in its face and sent him flying awesomely to the ground. Hika let out a laugh and an evil smirk. Serves you right.
