Ayeseru was running through the forest aimlessly, trying to escape the fiend that was chasing him. He couldn't properly make out what the beast even was, all he could see was that it was purely black with hollow eyes. A large blockade made up of trees appeared, and Ayeseru had to stand his ground and fight, however, because of his cowardice, he didn't bother looking behind, and never saw how close the beast actually was. It attacked Ayeseru with swift tentacles, striking his groin, stunning him for a moment so the beast could get him. The beast slid its sharp tentacles around Ayeseru's throat, slowly cutting away at it.
The gig was up, and that was it.
Am I... Going to die here..? What a lame way to die...
Ayeseru's eyes closed slowly and his breath got fainter and weaker.
Ayeseru shot up from his deep sleep covered in sweat and was breathing harshly. It took him several moments to grasp reality before taking a look outside the window. Noon, eh? he sighed and dried the sweat with a towel. He got dressed quickly and headed downstairs.
Upon entering the main hall of the guild, it was mostly empty. Safe to assume that most of the guild members, including the master, Aegis, were out on a mission or the likes. The only thing he found was Peterus, his shadow wolf pet.
He sighed and went on to get something to eat, but, along the way, he changed his mind and went to see whether or not Sabertooth had gotten any mail. The way it worked was that Sabertooth had an area for birds which they would take care of. Not only that, they had birds that would carry mail when one of the members desired to send a letter, or something, to someone. Of course, others could send birds and mail up to Sabertooth as well.
Upon entering the area, Ayeseru saw a strange looking bird he had never seen before; in its claws were a book and lacrima.
Curiosity struck, however, Ayeseru did not want to read it alone or listen to the lacrima alone, and went to find someone else.
If there is no one else in the guild, I'll just wait for someone to come back...
He started off the search by looking in places where someone might be in - Kitchen, living room, dining room, but no one was to be seen. He sighed, as he expected that, but didn't lose heart. Ayeseru searched next in the bathroom, sauna, and training room. Still no one.
Well, I don't like going into peoples bedrooms without permission, but I suppose it can't be helped. And thus, began searching in the bedrooms of the guild members.
It took him a long while, however, then he reached a particular bedroom. The bedroom of the girl that he had mentioned in his dream. Hikari.
He slowly and quietly opened the door, and found Hikari lying in bed elegantly with sheets over her. He didn't like to disturb people, but his curiosity got the better of him.
He quietly crept towards hers and got on one knee to be on level with her. He poked her cheek a few times and whispered "Morning sleepy head!"
