- The King's Earring:
Name: The King’s Protector
Rank: Artifact Item
Type: Enchanting Earring
Description:
A simple item that takes the form of a Rook chess piece that is normally worn on Faust right ear. The earing may look like nothing major but the effects that it gives are bountiful. The magic taps into a simple yet powerful magic of gravitation. This allows the caster the power to seem to float in midair defying the laws of gravity allowing them to move at a speed of 20 m/s +10 for every rank passed D ( C 30m/s, B 40 m/s, A 50 m/s, S 60 m/s). While this magic is great and gives the user the advantage of the sky it comes at a price of having space/ cosmic magic have greater potency against the caster as they use this form of magic due to this being merely a simple aspect of a much greater magic, air/wind based magic will also be able to interfere with the flight power seeing how it is the master of the sky. The earing will also allow the caster to shift the gravity of anything on the around them thus slowing the speed of things incoming and possibly causing them to crumble under the weight. Of course magic and attacks that bare no need for gravity really (wind/ space/ spiritual, fire, lightning, light, shadow) will not be effected while things such as metal and earth will be greatly effected due to their weight compared to the other elements. This gravitational effect will cause spells/people of below the caster’s rank (up to S) to instantly be forced to the ground while only cutting the speed of spells and attacks his own rank (up to S) down by 50%, those 1 rank above will only be slowed by 25% and those two ranks or greater will not be effected, metals and earth base along with magics that increase weight/size will be considered 1 rank weaker to this magic while lightning, air, space based, and fire will not be effected at all, water will be treated as one rank higher when facing this magic since water is a very light element compared to most others.. This skill can only be used once per thread + the rank of the caster (D 1, C 2, B 3, A 4, S 5) and will always have a cooldown of at least 2 post + 1 for every rank above D (D 2, C 3, B 4, A 5, S 6). This effect will cover an area of 10 meters + 5 for every rank above D making the max it can go is 30 meters around the caster.
Strengths:
- Small and easy to conceal
- Allows the caster to fly in the air at extreme speeds
- Allows the caster to alter the gravity around them possibly stopping attacks and enemies in their place or at least slowing them down slightly.
- Gravity Shift Up can be used at any time with no cooldown or duration due to being a passive trait.
- Gravity Shift Down deals 1 rank extra in power to magic based in metal, earth, weight/size shifting
Weaknesses:
- Can only withstand S rank damage to itself or Faust’s head before breaking
- once destroyed can no longer be used in that thread
- Flying aspect is weak to air and space based magic causing those spells to deal 1 rank higher in damage if struck when flying about
- Gravity Shift Down’s effects will only work on spells that are not: wind/ space/ spiritual, fire, lightning, light, shadow
- Gravity Shift Down effects will cause water base magic to be 1 rank higher when against the spells effects.
- Gravity Shift Down will also harm outgoing spells used by Faust
- Gravity Shift Down will cut Faust speed in ½ for the post he uses it
- Gravity Shift Down will harm allies spells if they enter its zone, will also harm allies.
- Gravity Shift Down will only do its full power to those people/ spells lower than Faust rank, those at his rank 50% and 1 rank above 25%
- Those 2 ranks above Faust or spells 2 rank above will have no side effects happen.
Abilities:
Gravity control through the use of the single passive ability and the single active spell.- Spells:
Name: Gravity Shift Up
Rank: Will rank up with caster until S
Type: Passive Ability/ Flight
Description:
Gravity Up is a simple spell it allows for the power of flight of the person wearing the earring. The speed of such flight is determined by the rank of the wearer, 20 m/s for D rank + 10 extra m/s for every rank past D. C 30, B 40, A 50, S 60. The spell will only last for minor amounts of time but will slowly increase as Faust gains in strength, starts out at 3 post at D rank + 1 for every rank after, D 3, C 4, B 5, A 6, S 7. Cooldown on this skill will also go up plus 1 for every rank to balance this trend out.
Strengths:
- Allows the caster to fly in the air at extreme speed
-Great for setting up melee attacks
- Great for maneuverability
Weaknesses:
- When activate causes magic based in wind/space(gravity) magic to deal 1 rank higher damage to Faust if struck
- Will still be able to be hit by spells that are able to reach into the air
- Will cause all melee base damage done by Faust to be cut in ½ while flying
- Will only have a duration of 3 post +1 for every rank past D.
Cooldown/Duration: 6 post + 1 for every rank past D/ 3 + 1 for every rank past D
Name: Gravity Shift Down
Rank: Will rank up with caster until S
Type: Acitve Spell/ Defensive
Description:
Gravity Shift down is a powerful technique that calls on the holder of the item to cause the gravity around them to become extremely strong forcing attacks and people that are in that area to be blasted down or slowed down drastically. People and spells that are at the Faust rank (up to S) will be slammed downward, fully nullifying that spell or causing that person to be stunned for that post. Those that are 1 rank higher will be slowed down by 25% and those 2 ranks or higher will not be stopped at all. This spell is considered an active spell and will rank up with Faust until he reaches S where this spell will reach its cap. The spell will be unable to effect spells that have little need for gravity such as fire, wind, light, shadow, holy, unholy, actual gravity magic(not coming from an item but as an actual primary or secondary), or lightning. Though the list of magics it does no effect is rather large it will also be seen as 1 rank lower in protection from water based spells. All these elemental weaknesses have only few pay offs giving it strength against spells like ice, metal, earth, and weight/size changing spells(idea for weight/size is no matter how large you are or how small you are the gravity will still effect ya bigger you are the heavier you are and the harder the strain is on your body, the smaller is that you have less to stabilize yourself from said gravity) Ice, metal, and earth magic are weak to the magic since they have high weights compared to the other elements. The spells range will start at 5 meters away from the wearer at D rank and add + 10 every rank after capping at S, D 5, C 15, B 25, A 35, S 45.
Strengths:
- Gravity Shift Down deals 1 rank extra in power to magic based in metal, ice, earth, weight/size shifting -Great for setting up melee attacks
- Allows the caster to alter the gravity around them possibly stopping attacks and enemies in their place or at least slowing them down slightly.
- Near instant allowing for quick defense
Weaknesses:
- When activate causes magic based in wind/space(gravity) magic to deal 1 rank higher damage to Faust if struck
- Most magics are actually not affected by this spell, fire, wind, light, shadow, holy, unholy, actual gravity magic(not coming from an item but as an actual primary or secondary), or lightning.
- Water magic will be seen as 1 rank lower than normal
- Spell will harm allies if they are caught in the mix possibly causing them to be stunned for a post as well
- Spell can possibly harm Faust own spells just as easy as his allies
Cooldown/Duration: 2 post + 1 for every rank past D/ Instant
- Sword of False Truths:
Name: Sword of False Truths
Rank: Artifact Weapon
Type: Sword
Description:- Image:
A sword lost in time or so the legend goes, the Sword of False Truths was used by a powerful member of the Rune Knights. The sword’s power holds the power to controlling the senses and minds of those that are in its presence. The sword is ¾ meters long and covered in light blue runic markings on an all ebony blade. Same markings are found on the sheath. The blades power lies in ancient magic that was used on it during the founding of Fiore. The sword’s power was said to be able to strike fear in any enemy due to the power to completely change the tides of battle by using powerful illusion based spells and abilities. The blade can withstand an A ranks of direct damage before breaking, this will not protect the user from said attacks unless the sword takes the full blunt of the attack such as parrying another weapon or smaller attacks, AoEs will still be extremely harmful. The sword will deal natural damage when striking an enemy based on Faust rank capping at A.
Strengths:
- The item will grant a 5% MP increase
- Sword will deal physical damage equal to its wielder’s rank, up to S
- Sword is rather lightweight allowing for easy transport and quick maneuverability in combat
- Sword allows the caster to cast illusion spells through it.
- Sword has the power to be invisible until it is used in combat
Weaknesses:
-Sword can still break if takes damage up to A rank
- Without the blade the caster cannot use its skills or powers
- Being a melee weapon the natural damage it deals has a limited range
- Sword can be seen by any mage who is Faust rank or above when in its invisible state
- Sword’s illusions will only work on those that are the caster’s rank or below
- Once broken will have to wait until next thread to be used again
- A person can only be under one of the illusion spells at a time
Abilities:
Invisibility: Sword will be unseen unless the person is Faust rank or any ranks above, this ability is capped at an S rank- The Spells:
Name: Illusion of a Mad World
Rank: Wielder’s Rank (up to S)
Type: Offensive/ Illusion
Description:
The sword’s runes will switch color to a burnt orange color. Those that gaze upon the blade will be trapped in a world where they seem to not be able to move and time will be distorted. The colors of the world will be negatives of a normal world causing the sky to be orange, a black moon, and Faust to be wearing an all black outfit. During the timespan of this illusion it will feel as if time is moving extremely slowly and all attacks and movements are moving at only 1% normal speed. This will cause one post to feel like the time of a whole month of them trapped. During this time they will not be able to speak, mold magic (unless it is purely made to escape illusions) or really comprehend anything other than Faust’s voice and movements as normal. Attacks dealing damage up to a rank below this spell’s rank will auto break the illusion freeing the enemy along with magics that can break illusions of this spell.
Strengths:
- An illusion that is based on eye sight giving it nearly infinite range in certain situations
- Will completely stun an enemy Faust’s rank or lower for 1 post + 1 for every rank passed D rank (D 1, C 2, B 3, A 4, S 5)
- Can be used on multiple enemies at once
Weaknesses:
- Enemies must make eye contact with it on the original post the spell is cast
- Damage dealt to those effected equaling 1 rank below the spell’s will break the illusion
- Can be dispelled by spells that break illusions if they are the spells rank or higher
- If a person does not see the spell being activated the first post it will not effect them at all.
- If Faust does not have the blade will be unusable
- The spell runs the risk of trapping allies in the illusions
- Can only work on people Faust rank or lower
Duration/Cooldowns Depends on rank(D 1, C 2, B 3, A 4, S 5) / Depends on rank(D 3, C 4, B 6, A 10, S 15)
Name: Illusion of a Warrior’s Curse
Rank: Wielder’s rank (up to S)
Type: Offensive/ Illusion
Description:
The runes will glow a lime green color any that gaze upon it will be placed under the effects. Up and down, left and right as well as forward and backward are reversed. However, it is not just the sense of direction that is changed; all of the opponent's senses are inverted, direction of incoming attacks, and injury locations are also inverted. Its powers are literally impossible to figure out without magic made to counter this kind of situation or illusion breaking spells. This will be more deadly to mages the higher rank they are due to muscle memory causing their body and senses to naturally to incoming attacks which will be completely the wrong direction than what is actually occurring. The illusion is so deadly because it is impossible to know that one is under effects at first and will only realize this once they attempt to do anything while under its effects.
Strengths:
- An illusion that is based on eye sight giving it nearly infinite range in certain situations
- Will completely disorientate an enemy Faust’s rank or lower for 1 post + 1 for every rank passed D rank (D 1, C 2, B 3, A 4, S 5)
- Can be used on multiple enemies at once
- Great for setting up attacks since enemies under the effects will have no idea where they will come from or actually strike
Weaknesses:
- Magic that uses sensing based skills outside the normal senses will be able to see past this spell if using a spell 1 rank below this ones.
