Ren took his stance, slightly scared at the comment about him being dead. He really in his head didn't know what to do as he thought through everything he felt like he could do. You know what you can do his mind teased him. He finally gave up, raising both of his arms in the opposite directions, and slamming them down, this time muttering "...wings of love..." he honestly didn't know why he had chosen this spell to be in his array, he probably just did it on a whim, as he felt his face light up red as he saw the cheesy pink hearts laced in the whirlpool head towards Rita.

Re: Water vs Shadow (Rita vs Ren)
Rita stood as patiently as she could only wait for Ren's next move rolling back and forth slowly on the heels of her shoes. Rita grounded her feet and refocused on her opponent when he rose his arms This is it Rita thought excitedly to herself as Ren brought his arms back down. Rita's grin did not cease as the attack came for her No, In fact her grin grew greater. As the whirlpool bore down closer and closer Rita calmly looked down shutting her eyes and clasped her hands together ahead of her towards the whirlpool. "WRAITH OF NEPTUNE!" Rita screeched out as she looked up her eyes now practically illuminated blue, In fact the space around her entirely glew. When the whirlpool came into range the blue aura began to surround it infusing itself with the attack. Rita concentrated not spitting out a single smart remark during this which felt awful surprising. Ren's whirlpool now gave off its own blue aura as it began spinning more rapidly as it soon grew into a massive wave. The glowing behemoth was monstrous in size as it turned and charged at Ren.

Re: Water vs Shadow (Rita vs Ren)
Ren's eyes grew widely as he saw his own attack change form and charge towards him. He attempted to turn around and run away, but before he knew it, he was swept up in a water wave, that tossed him around and hurt him, and even though he could breathe under the water, he still felt like he was suffocating. Once it had all ended, he was flat against the ground, and started coughing. He had never really considered water would be able to hurt him, but that definitely changed his mind.

Re: Water vs Shadow (Rita vs Ren)
"You've gotta try harder that that If your gonna beat me Ren!" Rita called out trying to motivate him. "Now listen Ren I know you may not be up for taking advice from the enemy but try and think about something positive-Like how much stronger this fight could make ya in the end!" Rita said again trying to motivate the water wizard more. Rita approached the downed Ren as he lie there unwilling to move. She looked down at him before putting her foot down on his back. "You can still win this, Ren." She said him pressing her heel down into him "Just get up and bring me down." She told him in a bittersweet manner.

Re: Water vs Shadow (Rita vs Ren)
"I really don't think I can win if your standing on my back" he muttered against the ground. Ren wasn't trying to look like he had given up, even if it appeared that way. Currently, he was thinking about what he should do. From fights he had observed, the winner always thought deeply about their next move. Even though this was done before hand. He didn't really do this, and so he decided this time to think it over, face first on the ground.
He thought over the spells he could do, and the spells he couldn't do. He was feeling extremely out of it, and he felt any moment now he might pass out. But he still had to continue, those were the apparent rules. He decided maybe it would be good to do a surprise attack. Of course the only choice he had was to repeat what he had done earlier, so as best as he could, he pushed his palm into the ground, and his muffled voice called "WATER LOCK!" and once again was swept up into water, though this time it was a bit gentler than Rita's attack. It was still a mystery to Ren how she did that. This time, he swam down until he could touch the ground, and then began to swim his way out.

Re: Water vs Shadow (Rita vs Ren)
Rita soon found herself floating around in Ren's water lock and "Now this is more like it..." Rita thought with a smirk. Ren began to swim away and Rita let him get a little pit of distance before caring out her plan. Rita drew her blade and began to swim after him. When Rita felt she was far enough that this attack wouldn't severely hurt him she dove her blade forward where it shot a rather big shadow like projectile much like her previous attack with her blade. The burst of energy fired at Ren would hit him for sure if he didn't think fast.

Re: Water vs Shadow (Rita vs Ren)
Ren was swimming downwards, when his back was struck, and he was propelled down the dome. Ren at this point felt extremely weak, and was debating if he should surrender or try not to pass out. Both almost meaning the same thing, but as he looked in the water around him, his vision began to get blurry. The water down splashed down, and Ren flopped onto the ground like a dead fish. Which he kind of was. "I am officially surrendering" Ren called out with the best of his ability. This was going to be something he would never speak of, even to himself. My mom is going to kill me when I come home Ren thought to himself. At least you didn't die he tried consoling himself, as he laid there on the floor of the arena, having a personal pity party. This party consisted of him mumbling about pain as a comical white flag was placed next to him, then ended with him effectively passing out.
