Ink-Make vs Shadow (Matabei V. Rita)

Matabei was feeling something as she stared at the entrance of the arena, awaiting her opponent. It was probably anticipation, as this young girl had asked for a spar with Matabei out of the blue. It was an easily acceptable request, seeing as how Matabei could rarely turn any female's request away, and Matabei prepared reasonably for this duel of wits. Plus, it was a good way for the maid to meet some other people outside of her guild. There were only so many people she spoke to, and she needed to get more human interaction before she went insane. Well, even more insane, but her point stood. She messed around with her cape a bit and sighed as she waited patiently.

Rita had requested a match almost randomly. She was tired of being pushed around she wanted to work on building some strength that way she can take care of her sister once and for all and she though a match with a stranger was the way to go. Rita didn't know what to expect stepping through that entrance to the battle field. "So then...." She said as she examined Matabei from a distance. "Well, any rules you have: Please state them now." Rita announced

Matabei had to smile at the young girl's enthusiasm. Apparently she was ready for a fight, and Matabei would do her best in order to help this cute young girl out. "Well, just one really.." Matabei said with her delicate tone. She would try to hold back, as she tended to be ruthless and cold when usually fighting. "Just don't try to kill or horribly injure me, okay sweetie? Otherwise, we can do almost anything else." Matabei took her usual stance up and smiled softly at Rita, ready for defending herself. "Ready?" Matabei asked in her normal calm voice.

"Well, just one really.." Matabei began in a delicate tone this attitude felt unnatural to Rita and creeped her out. "Just don't try to kill or horribly injure me, okay sweetie? Otherwise, we can do almost anything else."The rules seemed fair enough but Rita began feeling she couldn't scratch her if she tried. "Ready?" Rita gave a nod in agreement. Rita decided to wait till Matabei Tried something, She wanted to get a glimpse at what to expect before swapping around to the offensive. So Rita practically passed up her turn staying on the defensive for Matabei.

Matabei noticed Rita didn't attack, and silently commended the young girl for not rushing in blindly. However, it wouldn't be easy for her, and Matabei would make sure of that. Matabei slammed her right hand, which was in a fist, into her left palm. "INK-MAKE ARROW" Matabei created a barrage of arrows in front of her, and then released them towards Rita, then she jumped back and awaited Rita's retaliation.

Rita watched closely as Matabei pounded her right hand into her palm "INK-MAKE ARROW" Rita heard Matabei call out. She released a barrage of arrows towards Rita. She responded by slidding back on her heels and  crossing her arms together "Shadow Make:Wall!"  A black smoke quickly rose from the earth in front of her packing its self together to protect her from the  barrage. From behind her wall Rita pressed her hand down into her shadow "Dark Portal!" she said, Rita vanished sinking down into the ground where her shadow was. Once the wall crumbled upon taking all those arrows Rita was out of sight. Upon the hoped confusion Rita's would leap out from the shadow drawn behind Matabei and trip kick her from behind with great strength.

Matabei tripped after the girl kicked her, however the maid would be lying if she said it was caught her completely by surprise. She simply caught herself on her hands and used them to springboard herself straight towards Rita. She dove kicked at the girl's face, and then slid on the ground in order to catch herself. Matabei slammed her hands together again, and this time waved her right hand afterwards in order to create a foot long ink spear.
"Ink-make Spear" unlike before, Matabei almost whispered this spell's name instead of saying it loudly. She twirled the spear around before settling into a stance and awaiting Rita's next attack if she was going to make one.

(OOC: You use the same amount of Magic energy per spell you use. Since you are D, and you used two spells, you would have 80% Magical energy left, not 95%. Just going to say that.)

Rita succeeded in knocking Matabei down but was caught when she sprang back and nailed her in the face with a kick. It was a good kick to Rita got knocked down when She gotten back to her feet Matabei had drawn back and was twirling a spear now. Rita's decided it was time to get a little more serious when she saw the spear; so she reached and drew her weapon from the sheath on her back. Confidently but not blindly she lunged forward to cut her right arm. Rita had taken note that Matabei's magic requires allot of hand motion if she could injure an arm it would make that more difficult giving Rita the advantage.

Matabei already knew Rita would go for her arm, it was obvious enough if you actually paid attention to how Matabei's magic and how many people would try to stop her from using her magic. Unfortunately for Rita, Matabei was well ahead of her and swiftly avoided the strike going for her right arm and kicked outwards at Rita. Matabei then jumped back and swiped at Rita twice with her spear horizontally. Matabei then backed off again and slammed her hands together again once more. "INK-MAKE HOVERBOARD" Underneath Matabei a hoverboard generated into existence, and she hovered over the ground slightly waiting for Rita to react again.

Rita regretted her decisions when Matabei countered her attempt with an outward kick that landed  her back into the ground. "Man she packs a punch..." She thought to herself as she staggered back to her feet. Rita saw Matabei coming at her with a spear and reacted by bringing her weapon back in front of her turning the blade to block the attack. Matabei started another spell again and Rita readied herself. She pretended to be on the defensive while in the hollowed center of her blade energy began charging itself.

Matabei decided to stop waiting and flew towards Rita with her hoverboard. She sliced at Rita diagonally with the spear, and the waited till she flew around 10 feet away from the shadow user before turning back around and throwing the spear at Rita. No matter if the spear hit or not, it would dissipate after contact with something, leaving a small puddle of ink behind.

Rita's chance was inching closer and closer, Then Matabei came for Rita on her hover board. Rita went ahead and took the hit from Matabei's spear. When She then flew back and threw her spear The charge on Rita's weapon was now full. She watched as the spear headed for her and she slid back on her heels where it landed and became a puddle of ink in front of her. Rita now quickly brought her hand that wielded her weapon to her side. A growing dark purple energy could now be seen glowing in the hollowed center of the weapon."Dark Surge!!!" Rita yelled as she swiped her blade forward; The weapon let out  a wide span of dark purple energy that moved towards her at 50mph.

Matabei cringed as she noticed the arc of energy come at her. She could jump if she tried, but it would still hit so she took the full brunt of the attack in order to make the young girl feel better about it. Matabei flipped onto her hands and took a few deep breaths, the attack hurt more than she originally thought. Matabei stood, a bit shakily, and then charged at Rita, attempting a roundhouse kick, before spinning in mid air and trying to spin dropkick Rita. Matabei landed hard onto the ground afterwards, but jumped back up not too long afterwards.

Rita silently praised herself on landing an attack when she saw Matabei  fall down on her hands. Matabei was soon up on her feet again she charged for a roundhouse kick before she could strike Rita acted. She held her hand up to cast a spell "Shadow Make:Sword!" a dark aura grew out of her palm quickly and created another blade this sword looked quite ordinary other than the black glow it gave off. Rita now wielding two weapons tried for a hit at Matabei who was mid air and about to give Rita a round house kick. Rita wielded both her weapons now and went to attempt a mid air diagonal slice on Matabei.


(OOC: Sorry I keep messing up I'm new to this...)

Matabei managed to adjust herself enough while in the air in order to dodge the first two of Rita's strikes. She did not get a chance to dodge the second slice however, and took the full brunt of the attack head on. Matabei stumbled back a bit, bleeding from the chest somewhat after taking the hit dead on. Matabei took a few deep breaths before smiling at Rita, the young girl was alright at fighting. She just needed to pay more attention to her surroundings, as Matabei's ink hoverboard came barreling towards her to try and take her legs out. Matabei would jump back onto the hoverboard and await Rita's next move.

Rita swung narrowly missing her opponent with her blades, Matabei soon was knocked back when Rita succeeded in slicing her mid air on her second attempt. Un-aware the hover board headed back where it slammed into Rita's legs knocking her face forward into the ground where she took a mouth full of dirt. "Dang...Ive gotta get ahead of her some how" she told herself as she got back to her knees steadying herself. Rita sprang back forward to attack, She would kick her in the gut springing back before she pushed out her hands to Matabei "Shadow Make: Darts!" A red Magic circle appeared from the base of her hands and from it fifty to sixty needles of dark energy charged for her at a dramatic speed rapidly firing.

Matabei's eyes widened as the projectiles made their way over towards her. She didn't want to use her fourth spell just yet, so she kicked her hoverboard up and used it as a makeshift wall of defense. It worked as it stopped most of the projectiles, but a few pierced the hoverboard and hit Matabei. It hurt somewhat, but she thought they would do more damage to her. at least 10 hit her, so she flung the hoverboard at Rita and backed off again. The pain wasn't unbearable, but she knew that Rita had gotten her somewhat good with that last attack. Matabei stood in her stance again, waiting for Rita to make another move.

Rita cursed under her breath as Matabei manged to block most of her attack. Rita's expression turned to a pure grimace as she saw Matabei throw her hover board back at her.  Rita managed to avoid a critical hit by bracing her arms over her face. The projected board ended up hitting her in the gut disregarding her attempt on a defense. Rita slowly drew her arms away from her face that revealed a more determined expression. "I'm just getting started." She hissed as she rushed at Matabei with her weapon. Rita would aim for Matabei's rigth shoulder if her strike was made  Part of Matabei's sleeve would be cut revealing her Savage Skull insignia to Rita.

Matabei allowed her opponent to strike her shoulder, cutting off some of her shirt. However, Matabei raised her knee to the girl's gut while she was extended out with the sword. Matabei then threw a snap kick at her head and jumped back and the hoverboard flew at Rita with the intent to harm her further. The hoverboard would hit something and cover the ground and whatever it hit in ink as it dispersed. Matabei backed up and started to plan for her next attack as the girl recovered from whatever hits she took Matabei jumped away about 20 feet from the girl in order to get more room to dodge and plan.

Rita managed to make a successful strike on Matabei, As a result her sleeve was sliced revealing a Savage Skull insignia to Rita. she grew wide eyed as soon as she saw it worn on her opponents arm. This distracted Rita giving Matabei an easy strike on her. Rita took the blow to the head when Matabei snapped her kick. Rita was sent back into the ground tumbling and scrapping herself up as she landed. "T-That mar-mark..." Rita stuttered as she got to her hands trembling wide eyed with trauma. Rita reached over for her weapon that had slid out of her grasp but her arm was soon hit with The Ink mages board. Rita paused with shock as it dispersed. into a black liquid that splattered on her arm. The Ink soon enough sunk down into her cuts and scrapes and they began to flare in pain Rita let out a short and pain drenched shriek at the sensation. She paused holding her arm which now burned, Rita now staggered up and limped towards her weapon still on the ground. Rita Then retrieved her blade and stared back at the woman hatefully with eyes that now flared purple."I'm not done yet..." Rita said in a hushed voice. "You just had to of been in that guild..."Rita Whispered, Whipping the blood that trailed from the corner of her mouth. Rita approached Matabei slowly with her weapon drawn in hand.

Matabei winced when Rita took the blow and poisoning from the ink hoverboard. Matabei noticed the girl get more hostile, and wondered what could be the problem when she felt a gust of wind hit her shoulder. She turned and her eyes widened when she noticed her guild tattoo showing after the cut she took from Rita. She immediately noticed Rita coming closer with her blade and took up a defensive position. "Now wait. Calm down and lets think about this." Matabei tried to reason with Rita before something bad happened that could get either very badly hurt or even killed. Matabei continued to hold a defensive posture, ready for anything that might happen.

"Calm down?" Rita spoke out in question. "And what is there to think about-Your in that guild..." Rita continued narrowing her eyes that have transferred from purple to a violet by now. Rita clenched the hilt of the blade as she gotten closer with each step."I bet it was you..." Rita scowled coming to a stop.Holding her now red and hateful glare with Matabei. "You've made a mistake." Rita said before she let herself fall backwards, quickly sinking into her shadow like water. Rita was out of sight now.

Matabei backed up in worry when the young girl melded into the ground. It was definitely not good for her to be near the girl anymore, but Matabei didn't usually do what was good for her all the time. This girl had some problem with Savage Skull, and seeing as how Matabei had never met her before she didn't know what her beef could be with the guild. Matabei was confused on what to do, be more ruthless and beat the girl into submission, or try to calm her down and understand why she hated Savage Skull in general? Matabei thought over each idea before sighing loudly. The things I do for other people. Matabei settled into a low crouch, awaiting any attack from Rita while in a defensive posture. "I don't know what you're angry about, but we can just talk this out." Matabei didn't want to hurt the poor girl more than she already was, so she just awaited the next attack in order to try and stun the girl with her next attack.

"Talk this out? Pitiful..." She thought. soon enough Rita decided it was time to make her move. Rita silently crept up from the shadow that loomed behind Matabei, Pulling back her weapon and went to stab her through her lower back. If Matabei managed to block this attack Rita would cast herself another weapon in her free hand to stab Matabei with.

(Short post - Sorry)

Matabei managed to turn around to dodge Rita's first attack, but she wasn't as lucky with the second. "Guhah!" Matabei coughed out blood as the attack landed in her gut directly. Matabei pulled the blade out, which took some effort on her own part, and stumbled back in pain. She eventually fell over onto her back, feeling herself lose energy and life. Matabei knew the attack wouldn't kill her on its own; but with how she was bleeding, and Rita's obvious hate for anything Savage Skull, Matabei knew her own number was being called. She started to cry lightly, she didn't want to die! Matabei still had things to accomplish! She still had people waiting for her return! Matabei couldn't let this be the end of it all. But yet there was nothing she could do to stop it. Matabei simply closed her eyes and took on a serene look as she bled. "Damn girlie....You got me good." Matabei said honestly, no reason to lie to her now. "But before you go and off me.....could ya tell me why you wanna end me? Just so I understand the reasoning." Matabei needed to know, maybe there was some way to salvage her life.
