Khalisha yelped as she saw Julia getting flung away into the treetops, running off in the direction that Julia had just gone flying in. She was looking around the area frantically for a few seconds, before hearing a soft-sounding thud as Julia fell onto her cloud of snow. Once she heard Julia's voice again, Khalisha smiled and let out a sigh of relief, walking calmly over to where Julia was. "Oh, thank god you're alright." Khalisha sounded so relieved, but as she walked up to Julia and bent over to pat her on the head lightly, mostly to re-affirm that it was actually Julia, she caught something out of the corner of her eye. She froze in place, slowly reaching down and grabbing Julia's hand, squeezing it softly. "Oh god, please no... Not this again...." She said, slowly turning her head to the side. And yes, it was this again. There the monster was, standing closer than ever and just watching, only a few meters away, next to one of the trees. Khalisha never felt so panicked in her entire life, and she almost crushed poor Julia's hand in hers as she stood up straight. "Julia, where's that exit?" Khalisha asked, her her heart pumping wildly as she stared at the monster, eyes shaking just like the rest of her body at this point, a cold sweat sprouting all over her. Adrenaline filled her veins, and she wanted desperately to either run at top speed or to smack the monster in the face, but seeing as a fight with the monster should have been avoided entirely unless it attacked, she decided that running was the best option.

That man... was so close right now. It was almost like she could just reach out and ring his neck. Julia would notice him there, staring at the two of them. It filled her with this primal fury. Something that told every fiber of her being to kill and survive. Khalisha would snap Julia out of her fury by almost crushing her hand, and Julia would shake her head a bit and look over to Khalisha. "Oh right, the exit... that is right over..." she would try to continue to move her mouth. But the mischievous spirits of the dead would strike again, and strike her completely mute. Julia would try to speak, yet her mouth only made unreadable motions. She couldn't say the way out... actually she couldn't remember the way out either. Julia would snap her fingers with rage, and shake her fist at the air, her primal instinct of survival just about dragging her to the brink of insanity. She would fall on her rear end now, her cloud melting from under her.

Khalisha got her hopes up for moment -- just a moment, where she thought this could all be over -- but a way out was too much to ask for right now. The man was back, Khalisha and Julia were covered in blood and at their wit's end, and spirits were relentlessly assaulting them. Of course it would be too much to ask for, for there to be a way out now that they had technically completed the mission. "Oh god.. Why? Why won't you just leave us alone?!" Khalisha screamed, holding Julia tightly and trying to force herself to calm down by taking a few deep breathes and closing her eyes. Calm down, Khalisha... So far nothing has actually harmed you.. Just keep yourself, and when something does come, you can freak out then. She tried to tell herself this, but it didn't help at all. Not with the incarnation of pure fear standing so close by and just watching them, waiting to strike out once it was sure they could get no more afraid, no more angry, no more mindless in one way or another. "Julia, honey? We need to find a way out now, okay? I don't know if we can take this much longer... I don't know if I can.." Khalisha was just about ready to lose it entirely, and to top everything off, the voices were back, whispering more horrifying things throughout the air of the forest, at an increased volume. It was all starting to be too much.

Julia would watch as the thing was now almost literally in their face. Her eyes bulged out as she could almost make out the details. She would look over at the figure and blurt out something, "WOULD YOU JUST GO AWAY!?" The thing would back off a few steps, then realize that is was trying to be creepy, and would take those steps forward again. Julia would then look around and giggle a bit, "Oh hey, I can talk again!" She would say with a cheery look on her face. With that she would think some more and then remember that she was supposed to be feeling that primal survival instinct still. She would look over at the figure and begin freaking out again, the fury in her eyes almost unmatchable. "Did you kill those Rune Knights?" she would ask. The figure's head would nod in an agreeing manner with details shrouded but some kind of grin implied. Julia would look at Khalisha, "Okay, mission complete, let's flee!"

Khalisha was a bit relieved as Julia's voice came back, but not enough for her to stop freaking out as Julia had seemed to manage. She was still shaking all over, and as she heard Julia ask the thing a question, she got ready to exit the area altogether. As the thing nodded rather agreeably, with an implied creepy-ass grin, Khalisha gulped and started scrambling through her cards. She nodded quickly as Julia said the mission was complete, also thinking that it was, in fact, time to get the 'f' out of here. "G-g-good idea, girly! I'm working on it!" The whispers seemed to kick up a notch, but Khalisha ignored them. The tall man also took a few steps closer, reaching out towards Khalisha, but she ignored that too. She was focused on finding her card that would allow her to get out of here. She found the right card and smiled widely, quickly pressing it against Julia's forehead and channeling magic energy into it. As she did, Julia began levitating off the ground, now able to fly however she willed, up to a certain height (about 50 feet). Immediately after doing so, Khalisha ran into a clearing holding Julia's hand and used the power of her lineage -- the spirit link -- to turn into a dragon, taking off in a single wing-beat and flying straight up into the air, of course having let go of Julia at this point. "Follow me, Julia, if we go up above the trees, we can just fly away from here!" Khalisha said, thankful that most of the trees in the area weren't all that tall, as they were the newer trees, only about 40-45' tall, just under Julia's new-found flight's maximum height. After reaching the tree tops, Khalisha flew for the nearest edge of the forest, landing outside of the forest and returning to human state, making way immediately for the train station to get back home. She was done with all this business, and she would send a letter to the rune knights explaining what happened. After that, her payment would surely come in the mail.

    Exit Khalisha

Julia would smile in relief as she felt as if all the weight of gravity the world placed down on her was lifted. She would rise upwards and begin to soar away from the creepy individual who lived in this forest. As she would reach the magical card effect's maximum height, she would look down at the treetops. A field of energy appeared to take place as spirits of the dead would bash against it repeatedly, or that would at least be what appeared to be the case as the poltergeists were completely invisible the whole time, and she otherwise had no way of knowing they were there except when misfortune struck. She was hoping that the forcefield she was looking at was the symbol of her freedom from the poltergeists and their sick twisted games. She would follow Khalisha, her heart rate finally calming down, the whole thing would probably be forgotten by next week.
