What I've done Empty What I've done

The room was completely and utterly dark. It was not an ordinary darkness, this was a twisted and evil darkness meant to hide something. It was as if in the single solitary room existed a void where light had never been created. It was if mankind had managed to recreate the void the was time and space before whatever miracle occurred to bring light and civility to the universe. Its inky blackness was so thick that a man could not see the hand in front of his face. Its tentacles of pure darkness stretched to ever little corner of the massive room. So devoid of light that even a blind man would think it was far to dark in here, this room hidden right below the feet of an order that held light and righteousness up above all else.

Not a sound could be heard within this room. Not a single solitary peep. No purr of machinery not grinding of gears. It silence was so all inclusive that if one were to stand in this room as it was now for more then a moment they would begin to hallucinate, their mind driven mad by the lack of senses it so desperately desired.

Suddenly a door on an unseen wall lifted up with the slight wooshing sound, a mixture of air pressure being released and hydraulics forcing bits of machines into place. It was as if a sun had just been created from the nothingness of an empty void, filling it with the warmth and light of creation. A shadow appeared within the midst of the light that flooded in so readily from the freshly opened door. Slowly the form moved into the room, its footsteps echoing like thunder in the otherwise soundless room. As it stepped on the plain white floor that had been revealed by the light, the sound of lights clicking on roared. Suddenly rows of florescent lights turned on, beating back and obliterating the darkness that had ruled so thoroughly before.

The shadow that had entered the room was actually a man, tall and thin. He had jet black hair that was pushed up in the middle, giving him a bit of a cheap and tacky looking Mohawk. His hair seemed to glow in the light of the room, revealing he had a habit of using far to much oil and hair gel in whatever his daily hair styling regiment was. A trail of smoke followed closing behind him, the ghostly whispers disappearing and dispersing into the stale air. The cigarette he was smoking hung loosely in his lips, held in lightly in place by his slightly yellowing teeth that slowly chewed down on the brown filter of the white stick of paper and tobacco. He wore a white lab coat over a black dress shirt, the security tag attached to it reading ''Researcher Masagi, Security level S''. He wore plain blue tie that was loosened so that is sagged lazily down his chest. His black dress pants were badly wrinkled. His black shoes echoed loudly as he walked towards the center of the room.

The man looked out upon the massive room with his dark emerald green eyes. Before him rested a massive nest of gears, tubes and other machine parts he did not even know about, all covered behind a wall of sound proof extra tough glass. They took up nearly the entirety of the massive room. The gears slowly turned, thousands of them of various sizes. Some of them were maybe 30 feet tall, connecting to a massive series of other gears. A tube in this massive maze of machinery suddenly blasted out a white jet of super heated steam, causing the glass on the left side of the room to fog up. The fog from the steam would soon be erased by the freezing cold air that surrounded the gears, cogs and tubes, carried by a system of untold numbers of ventilation shafts and fans.

In front of him stood something that looked very out of place. It was a massive system of computer hardware, all connecting to a set of control panels that sat in front of him. This computer system was circular, surrounding a massive metallic circle in the middle of the room. It had a slight crack in the middle of it, revealing that this metallic circle was able to be opened possibly by the control panel that sat so close by

Several monitors sat in front of a black leather chair that was bolted tight to the see through floor. The man sat on the chair, swiveling it to the right as he faced this row of monitors. Sweat dripped down from his brow. He moved his right hand to his face, using his index finger to push his black rim glasses back up his nose to their proper position. He then brought both his hands together in front of him, interlacing each finger neatly as he placed pressure on them, cracking them with a loud Creeeeeck.

He looked over the first of the monitors, located directly in front of him. It showed a display of some things vital signs. The Numbers were stable, and the line that showed the beating of the subjects heart was stable, the line bending up and down with every precious beat of its heart. He sighed a bit at the color scheme of the vital sigh monitor. Why did every thing have to be blue? He did not have anything against the color, but just about every thing having to do with it was blue. He would have just preferred more of a variety in color is all.

He turned his attention to the second monitor. This one was bigger then the first at 20 inches, where as the vital sign monitor was about 12. At the top of the monitor were the words "MOTHER GOOSE SYTEM''. Below that was a long list of subsystems, each displaying a green ''ACTIVE'' beside them. The mother goose system was a device created by Head Researcher Mary Lynn. It was 100% specialized to the subject it held. One could think of it as a state of the art prison cell, ensuring that the subject was safe and secure at all times. It even ran on its own specialized power system, ensuring that if the power went out on normal system that the subject would stay contained.

The next monitor had large blue letters on it prompting him for a password. This was the control monitor for the Mother Goose System....in a way. The system was extremely complicated and had so many redundant and outright fake systems in it. Only the late Head Researcher Lynn knew exactly how it worked. Did I not mention that she was dead. You see she was a soft woman, as all of them tend to be. She did not truly have the guts the one needed to truly make ground breaking discoveries in this field. Oh, for sure she was a genius, the proof was right in front of him. She was probably even smarter then him in some ways. But like we said, she was far to soft to be the one chosen for Head Researcher on this project.

You see, Mary Lynn had grown attached to the subject after 10 years of work with her. She had even let it roam free...well as free as it could be in a 10x10 cell. That is until this bitch had sliced off his finger with its blood. That's when she was forced to develop the Mother Goose System. She had named it that because she designed it to allow it to sleep. She probably had much more womanly sentimental bullshit reasons for naming it that, but it did not matter.

The real trouble started when she had caught him in the midst of dissecting the specimens throat. He had heard that it had a wonderful singing voice and he wanted to examine its vocal cords first hand. What was so wrong with that? She had threatened to report him straight to Chairmen Sparrow for his actions, claiming he was harming it. That's when she had to die. He had enjoyed using a picture that Head Researcher Lynn had of the subject framed on her desk to smash her skull open. He enjoyed even more the feeling of his manhood entering her as she lay bleeding to death. She had always been quiet a prudish and stuck up bitch in life, but quiet the nasty whore in death.

Things had becomes quiet bothersome and hectic afterwards. He had gotten lucky to dispose the body with a group of corpses being taken out from some other research group. The problem was now he had to do his work and her work. He had to forge he signature on official documents, including the monthly reports to Chairmen Sparrow. He also had to continuously come up with excuses as to why she was not present. He had finally told one nosy young researcher that she had herpes and was seeking treatment.

He punched in the password using a keyboard connected to the third monitor. ''WRETCHED EGG". He had used Head Researches admin pass to change the password from ''SWEET INNOCENCE''. It was far to sentimental and womanly for his taste. Besides, nothing was innocent about hat thing that the System held.

On the screen several options appeared. He clicked on the option ''MORNING SLEEPYHEAD''. That was the code to start the release sequence. As mentioned earlier the system was extremely complex and only Mary Lynn had known all the secrets to it. He had not been able to change most of the things using her admin password. It irritated him that even in death she was so fucking annoying with her treating the subject like it were a human child.

The metallic lid in the center of the room made a loud click as the 20 inch concrete reinforced steel doors of the slide began to open, withdrawing into the floor. From the depths of the gears and cogs of the machine a glass tube began to rise into the room, steam hissing out as it did so. Within a minute the cage containing the Wretched Egg stood before him.

The outside of the object that had risen from the floor was a glass tube. A giant metal claw was attached to the top of the tube, ready to lift it from its place to allow access to the creature. The second part of the cage was his favorite as it was deliciously cruel he thought. A giant crucifix like object stood in the center of the tube, standing on a metal flooring. It was hard to describe this final set of containment objects that held the creature in place. it was like a metallic armor that covered its entire body, obscured by a tattered blue blanket that was attached and wrapped around it. Only its mouth was shown, its eyes hidden under a thick metal blinding mask attached to a helmet. Their were no ear holes.

The arms of the creature was outstretched in a T shape. Several giant magnet like objects stuck out along each arm, their ends held inside a metal wall that the creature was stood up against. Her legs were also held in place by these magnet looking objects, as well as her neck, chest and waist. He had always assumed that this final shackling was electromagnetic, but he was not entirely sure.

The mans mouth formed into a wide grin as her green eyes beheld the form of the specimen, beautifully locked up and shackled like the beast it was. He began to laugh, a spark of insanity entering her eyes as his laughed echoed around the room, deafening him for just a moment.

As oh so respectable and missed Head Researcher Lynn would say....Good morning precious Diva, time to wake up...sleepy head.
