Cloud was glad to see that the boy still had some fight in him and that he could produce such a complex creation spell in his condition. Cloud used his deity Shita in response, however the ice-make spell did manage to land and deal a fair amount of damage. Cloud clinched his teeth in pain as it clamped down even harder. He however was using Shita's ability to manipulate the hundreds of tree roots sprung from the ground beneath his feet to pull the clamp apart, however it was only keeping it at bay. He simaltaniously used his power to call a bear from the woods to help pull the clamp apart.
He was free now and his opponent was out cold. Cloud knew that his wounds needed to be treated and the only way his legendary dagger could use its healing abilities was to turn the blood of another living organism into repairing enzymes for sealing flesh wounds. He looked at the bear and in an instant cut slit its throat with the dagger. The blood from the daggers blade driped onto Clouds wounds sealing as much of the damage as possible. He also had another use for the bear in mind. He skinned the bear and cooked the meat on a fire he built next to Zenshin's unconscious body. He left before it was finished, but Zenshin would wake to a decent meal after nightfall. As a final courtesy he carved into a tree, "Dig deep in battle."
