Clementine rounded her path in order to maintain a similar distance from the landmass of Fiore.  She was able to periodically project her senses starward to get a birdseye view from her location in order to guestemate her position relative to the country.

Using that information she was able to determine the approximate time she should continue on in a certain direction before turning more northward.

She could also see just how much ocean she  passed,  and along her way to the Cloud Sea she dropped a third pod into the sea outwards away from the Phoenix mountains coast,   between the Cloud and Graveyard seas.

It seemed odd that there wasn't an exact name for this area,  considering the other seas,  but this stretch of water had no name she saw on the map that she lifted from a library.    Regardless of having a name or not,  it was a good place for the third hotspot as she continued north and into the Cloud Sea.

Casting her vision skyward,   Clementine could tell why the place was referred as such.  It was indeed very cloudy,   and the sea level was littered with glaciers.   There were many chunks of floating ice everywhere.

Not so clustered together,  but it was very cloudy and from the birdseye perspective high in the sky,  Clementine could see that the ice grew in density until they formed a great ice sheet much much farther to the north.

These clouds in combination with random floating glaciers would make for a dangerous trip through the ocean.

Stygil,  less protected than Clementine,   had shifted from his shark form to take the shape of a killer whale,  much more resistant to the cold waters but losing some of that ferocity.

It didn't much matter,  Killer whales were almost as dangerous when they wanted to be and Clementine could easily kill any wee beasties that threatened them on her own.

The northward trip as deep as they were didn't effect them like it would a sailing ship.   Glaciers posed no hazard as deep underwater as they were,  pilled under several hundred meters of sea.    And as such their trip went by mostly unmolested.

There was the occasional deepwater creature,   but between her killer whale companion and Clementine's own defenses they posed no threat.   Most were smaller scale,  but Clementine had the nasty confrontation with a colossal tentacled creature.

Not nearly as big as the great whale,   and infinitely more fragile,   the creature if not slain had at least decided it sure as hell didn't want to poke fun at the pair.

By now Clementine had estimated that they'd be somewhere centered between an island she noticed marked as "Snowfall island",   and the coastal towns of Gallowstown and some "Holy Castle".

Noting the size of the Cloud Sea,  this was an excellent spot to drop the fourth pod.

Withdrawing an iron ball,   Clementine tossed it away after pressing it's activation button.   The ball grew into a full sized pod hovering sturdily in place.    Opening it's hatch,  she swam inside the contraption along with a rush of water and closed it behind her.

Collecting energy in the palms of her hands,  she created two spheres to smash together and flood the pod with radiation.   Great amounts of radiation that permeated the pod in it's entirety,  completing the pod's transformation from a simple pod into a deadly anchor to contaminate the sea around it.

The amusement of completing this task had faded,  having performed it several times already and she'd been swimming for over a week as fast as she could not stopping to sleep.  Sleep was for the living,  for the organic.    For the weak.

Clementine pushed forward,   carrying onward through the ocean.   Days and Nights,  it didn't matter.  All there was was ocean.     But the end was in sight,  then she could get back to land and make up for this effort spent in the waters.

Imagining what she'd do once she gets back to land was a waste,  and would only wear down her morale.   She banished the thoughts and pressed on.

Sometime later,  Clementine was up on the final stretch of the Cloud Sea,  farther north and in between an intersection of River Village,  Silent Glacier,  and Rose Garden.   Somewhat closer to land,    where a large bay ended in a thick river.

Contaminating the sea here would be preferable,  where the water would more quickly spread through the river as well to make the lives of the riverfolk hell.   Yes.  This was a great spot.

Retrieving one of her few remaining pods out from her dress,  Clementine rolled the little sphere between her fingers,  soaking in the moment.   After a few moments longer she decided she'd paused more than long enough and tossed the little ball away with the click of a button.

The ball expanded,  growing to full size and allowing Clementine to swim inside and create her burst of radiation,  completing the Skullwater Chamber as she referred to the final product.  She felt a little dead inside,  Psychologically impaired from all this damned repetition.

She was getting damned sick of the ocean.  She needed to burn down a kindergarten or something to make up for her troubles.   Infiltrate a brothel maybe.  Anything.

Clementine was use to crippling boredom,  she'd once been imprisoned inside a damned box for several hundred years,   in addition to having to travel for thousands of years to cross planets.  But in both cases she could simply hibernate.  Something she couldn't do here,  since she was actively traveling in order to place pods and change direction and what not.

She was a creature of pleasure,   of amusement,  and she demanded to be entertained dammit!

Having thrown her little fit,  mentally,  she scowled as she gripped Stygil and started to move onward.
