Erza noticed the questioning look that Kayra gave her and propped up an eyebrow. Before she could ask the woman about what was bothering her, the bushed behind her rustled once again. For a second the pinkette thought that it might be the usual gust of wind, but when she could hear the small scratching noises made on the muddy ground and a strange squeal of help, she quickly backed away from there. Soon, her eyes caught a glimpse of another Vulcan emerging from the wilderness. But what caught her attention most was the helpless little creature it held in its burly arms. There was no doubt about it, the small thing was their client's puppy indeed.
"Looking for this, eh?" the rough voice of the Vulcan questioned mockingly, as his eyes took in the scene of his companions beaten up on the forest ground. Erza was sure that she saw a bead of sweat roll down his face, a terrified look on his face. Its confidence seemed to be shattered to pieces, which made a small smirk grace the Dragon Slayer's lips.
"Hand over that puppy and you won't need to suffer the same fate." she stated in a monotone voice, trying to end this thing quickly. The creature considered for a second or two, before he looked up at the lady with a determined face, "Over my dead body." he stated while placing the little canine on a high branch and letting it whimper with fear.
The next second, the Vulcan charged at her, its fists glowing with some kind of swirling dark energy and tried punching Erza; which she dodged rather fluently. Taking it as an opportunity she tried getting back at him with futile attempts of hitting him on the face, later a kick on his side. It seemed like her adversary was good at blocking and evading attacks than in anything else.
'Then I'll just put an end to this.'
The startling azure of her irises burned in a flaming crimson, as a magic circle appeared beneath its feet, letting several toxic tendrils pop out of the ground. They bound the Vulcan to the ground, while the poison cut through his slimy skin. Without wasting a moment, Erza leaped backwards, keeping a safe distance between both of them. Her vision lingered over Kayra for a second, making sure the woman was alright. The Slayer then started inhaling deeply, as deadly venom collected inside her mouth; her hands in a position similar to that of a trumpeter.
A deafening roar filled the entire forest, making the wild animals scurry to their shelters, running a cold shiver in everyone's spine. The poison was released in the direction of the Vulcan; starting out as a very thin stream, enough to be fit between her fingers, before suddenly enlarging to strike the opponent. For a second, the whole place fell into a deathly sort of silence, as the gust of humid wind blew away all the dust that had rose up. Soon the silhouette of the vulcan was clearly visible, and the toxic mist surrounding him cleared away. It was on its knees, its greenish skin was now transformed into a shade of black; the poison already taking a toll on its body. But still the creature was not completely down yet, so Erza simply decided to make a final move. She let some more venom dance around her feet, swirling and completely obscuring it. Then using it as a jet of sorts the pinkette propelled herself forward to the Vulcan, landing a lethal blow on its head, thus letting the creature lose its consciousness.
With a small smile adorning her face, the lady looked around for her snake, finding him near their client's pet.
"Is he fine?" she questioned the winged reptile who had already brought the puppy on the ground.
"I think so." he hissed back and Erza bent over to pick the shivering little creature. She placed it securely in her arms, making it let out a small whimper and then quickly realizing that she was not gonna harm him; it settled down peacefully.
The Slayer then simply turned around, looking at how Kayra was faring against her opponent.
