Savage Bloom

Heero walked through the spooky forest; hands in his pockets and hood raised. He'd left a litter trail of empty bags of chips, eaten ribs, and what pieces of Taco's he hadn't destroyed on the way.

He let out a loud 'burp'; as the camera would show him walking sideways through the spooky forest. Although it was sort of dark; it was daytime and the sun cracked through here and there. Wildlife was everywhere.

Heero was here for one reason, and one reason only. To find Savage Skull wizards, and beat them up. He hadn't gotten any payback since they destroyed Magnolia; and although the Arc of Time wizard restored the town; he still wanted to whip some major Savage ass.

As he walked through the woods, he only wished that Garfield had come with him. But there was "no chance of fish" on this journey. So the orange cat decided to stay behind with Serene doing lord knows what; she spoiled him so. As he walked through the woods, his feet would step on a twig and 'crack'; at the very same moment, he picked up a familiar scent.

Shuhei? Reiki? Jermin? Mari? Daichi? Eternia? Blanc?' he cycled through the other Slayers he knew in his mind; no. This was a different scent.

The camera would show a close up of Heero, his hood raised, and yellow eyes looking somewhat serious. Another Slayer?

The light was fading, creating new shadows and dark patches around her. Azure eyes glimmered from the curtain of pink hair as Erza ambled around Spooky Forest, in quite a jovial mood. It was the kind of day when she expected everything to be perfect. Absolutely perfect. But, will it be like that?
The wind wailed between distorted trunks, carrying the sickly stink of wood rot. She moved a bit faster, trying to ignore the briars that caught at her jeans, the damp leaves that grimed her skin.
She lifted her face to look around, letting the light and shadow dance around it. The sound of bees humming was in a way; quite soothing. She continued on, delighted by the sound of her feet sliding through the leaves.
But something was amiss, the presence of an anonymous scent which made her feel uneasy due to the simple fact that the Spooky Forest never had a lot of visitors and surprisingly, today there seemed to be one. And this one was a Slayer.
'Interesting....'
Reaching near to source of the scent; the pinkette could now see a silhoutte. She stood silently in the shadow of the tree, leaning on its trunk with her arms crossed. Waiting for the other person to move first as she observed.
The trees stood utterly still, statues in a living museum where no leaf dared to fall.
'Maybe, they get the suspense too...'

Heero raised an eyebrow as the scent seemed to move closer to him. The Slayer had picked up his scent; as expected from another. He inhaled and exhaled deeply; preparing himself for a fight. Who knew if this person was going to be friendly or not after all.

He took off his hoodie; casting it behind him, followed by his shirt. Revealing his chiseled beach body; and large baby blue Fairy Tail tattoo on his back. He did this partially to show whoever was approaching where and with whom he stood, he was not afraid. There were few wizards, even amongst Savage Skull that could withstand his might.

His hearing heard a final 'step', to his left. As he wheeld around and locked eyes with a girl?!'. He blinked a few times in surprise as his features hardened. He walked towards her, shirtless; an eyebrow raised.

He stopped ten feet across from her, as she leaned on a tree. The forest seemed to draw awkwardly silent as soon as he stopped moving. For awhile he stared her down; blushing a bit as he looked her features over. It was a good thing he was taken.

"You, you look good, but you smell funny." the first words he'd ever said to her rang out against the forest as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes comically.

Just as Erza had expected, the other Slayer had felt or sensed her presence too. She observed quietly, curiosity at its peak, questions about the identity of the person lingering in the back of her mind. One thing she was sure about was that the Slayer was a male; guessing on the lean body. But she never got to think more about it, because the next moment her mind went in a comatose state with shock. The guy's silhoutte seemed to be moving as he removed the hoodie jacket he was wearing, followed by a shirt.
'What... the... heck!?!'
As if making matters worse than they already were, the sun's rays fell on him; acting like a spotlight. Thus Erza's eyes caught a glimpse of the baby blue insignia of Fairy Tail on his back.
'That's it! I'm leaving! Now!' she declared to herself, taking a step back; which unfortunately was a tad bit loud. At least, loud for a Slayer to hear.
The guy wheeled to face her and their gazes met for the first time and he blinked with a look of surprise. She simply blinked back, feeling as if an exchange of words was not necessary at all. He walked towards her, an eyebrow raised. Of course, he had to be suspicious. As he stopped a few feet away, the pinkette caught a clearer view of him which made her doubt if he was actually a mage of Fairy Tail and not a model working for some fancy magazine. A small blush crept up her face as she stared for a second or two.
"You, you look good, but you smell funny." he spoke, the words magnified by the forest.
That did it.
Her eyebrow twitched as she questioned, "What???!! What do you say about yourself then? You smell like Taco's and chickens!!"
Oddly, she had that feeling which went like, 'I've seen him somewhere...' but she was unable to put her finger on it and decided to simply ask him.
Pointing her finger at him, "Introduce yourself.... you...you... Chicken Slayer!!" she quipped, a small smile tugging on her lips as the thought,'I wonder how that'll fare with him'crossed her mind.

Heero would smirk once at her attitude; a sweatdrop would form over his head before he'd cross his arms across his shirtless frame and look upward. His golden eyes playfully planting on the treeline above.

"Heero, of Fairy Tail." his expression got somewhat more serious; perhaps his reputation as a Ten Wizard Saint; and the possibly the strongest Dragon Slayer preceeded him. He'd look back downward from the treeline, locking eyes with the young girl who obviously was a wizard.

His nose would wiggle again; confirming what he'd thought about her before.

"I'm not here to play games. Stay out of my way unless you know where I can find Savage Skull." Heero threw his shirt and hoodie over his shoulder and began to walk towards the girl; however as he neared her, he would stop; as if on his own. Side by side with her.

Without turning; he'd speak again. If she really was one of his Slayer kin, perhaps he'd have to test her abilities out a bit to see what type of Dragon had taught her.

"By the way....." his voice cut through the silence of the Spooky Forest; as he stood next to her without looking at her. "You can't hide from me...Slayer." he stood with his shirts slung over his shoulder; one of his golden eyes visible from the side as it locked onto her.

Both of his eyes began to glow red as all Dragon Slayer's eyes did when their magic power rose quickly or they got excited.

"If you know anything about Savage Skull, now would be the time."

"Heero, of Fairy Tail." the man introduced himself, letting some faded memories of that name rush through Erza's mind. She furrowed her eyebrows a little, pondering for a second before it hit her like a cold gust of wind.
'He's a freaking Wizard Saint!'
Before the fact could set in, he spoke once again, "I'm not here to play games. Stay out of my way unless you know where I can find Savage Skull."
A small smile tugged at the pinkette's lips as she heard this; ideas swirling in her little devious mind. But she stood silently still, listening to the whisperings that rang in the wilderness, her brain working the possibilities at a furious speed. If he actually wanted to know about her guild, he will have to strive and earn it.
"By the way....."
A hoot reverberated among the treetops. The faint shadow of an owl swept on the ground beside her, as azure eyes trailed its path for a distraction. She was acting disinterested, but her ears took in each and every word with complete attention; it was a silly way to avoid eye contact.
"You can't hide from me...Slayer."
Erza looked up, catching sight of Heero's eyes, which seemed to glow a bright red. With a blink and an amused expression she raised her eyebrows, knowing full well that there was something more he wanted to say.
"If you know anything about Savage Skull, now would be the time."
"Sorry, but you seem to have mistook me. I'm Erza. A mage of Blue Pegasus. But, you're right, I'm a Slayer." the young lady spoke in the friendliest tone she could muster. She chose her words carefully and if the Wizard Saint was smart enough, he would notice that she kept her last name hidden in that introduction. It was usually the best way to keep away from any kind of trouble with the Legal Mages and avoid identification in the future.
"Oh, I'm actually searching for Savage Skull too.... It's time they paid for what they did to Magnolia." she added while smiling understandingly - one of those smiles which held a quality of reassurance in it; seeming to face the whole external world for an instant and then concentrating on the other person with an irresistible prejudice in their favor.
She had her upbringing to thank for that.

As Heero listened to the girl speak; his eyes ceased their red glow. He put a hand on on his chin; as if he were in deep thought about something.

"?????" a spread of question marks popped up over his head, as he seemed to be lost in his own thoughts. He looked the girl up and down and then turned his back comically.

"Is she telling the truth---how would I know----don't forget she was in the middle of the woods close to where Savage Skull might be-----maybe she's being honest, she was honest about being a Slayer..."

The camera would show Heero's back, with symbols popping up all around him as he had a conversation with himself. Eventually he'd whip back around at comical speeds; and give Erza a thumbs up; sparkles flying all around him.

"O.K! Nice to meet you! Sorry about before.....I can't believe I'm meeting another Slayer....bahaha!" Heero clenched his fists at his side and pumped one in the air once; a huge switch of empathy, rapid as well. "Well......how long have you been searching for Savage Skull...heard anything?" he asked as he stood near her now with his arms crossed.

He'd failed to pick up on any hint of falsity; as he usually took things at face value.

"Everyone thinks we've taken them out.....but ever since I fought Lichborne and won...I've been feeling like I've only made things worse somehow...." Heero looked down at the ground; deep in thought. As he looked at the dirt floors of the forest; his blue hair glinted in the faint beams of sunligt pouring through the trees.

Many in Fiore would love to know what was on his mind; but not many would be close enough too him to actually hear it. Because he was in the presence of another Slayer however; Heero was more open than he'd usually be, and slightly more serious (if that was even possible). He eventually looked back up at Erza and smiled, waving his hand in front of himself in apology.

"Sorry..... he blushed and looked away, furrowing his brow as he thought about how to recover, she probably hadn't wanted to hear all of that. He wanted to ask her about her Dragon; as being near another who'd been taught and possibly raised by a living breathing Dragon was a rare thing indeed; but he couldn't forget why he was here. "You should help me find any Savage Skull cronies in the area; I know we didn't take them out like everyone thinks...I can feel it!"

Heero asked her in an excited manner.
