Halloween! What better holiday was there to take Vitria out on a long date away from the Ace of Spades, to show her the rest of Fiore’s wonderous, wonderful and whammy hotspots? The spirit of Halloween was present already from the moment the Ace’s face was hit by early morning rays from the window on the last day in the middle of autumn, hearing the distant work on putting up Halloween decorations between the roofs of the city that was housing the most awesomest, greatest and most illustrious, god-damned and proudest of the god-damned most delicious, bestest guild in all of Earthland? For an eternity, he ignored the fact that Mai – the single most blood-drawing bane to his existence – was part of that guild, but none of that bothered him anymore! She could not hurt him! No one could!
There was not a soul out there that could ruin his joyous mood, and do you know why? The reason behind this resurrection of Imai’s hot-blooded energy was due to the membership of the dreamiest sorceress he’d ever laid eyes on in his life. He didn’t care about any of that dumb shit that the, uh, that weird bald guy on the MagiGram and LacBook medias kept preaching about concerning relationships with women – none of that was relevant to Imai’s red string of fate coiled around his heart, pierced through its arteries (not literally, relax), and tied to a certain ashen-haired wielder of dragon-slaying magic who went by the name of-
“V-Vitria… Viiiiiitriaaaaaaaa…”
Okay, he had woken himself up with a pair of boxers to wash, but nonetheless did Imai prepare diligently for this day. Capital Crocus was holding a huge Halloween festival, and while the Ace of Spades was local home to Sabertooth, Imai felt like showing Vitria more of the country of Fiore… granted, she did come from Bellum – and Imai had seen images of Bellum before, and damn were those buildings fancy – but Fiore also had its beauties and exciting hotspots! She deserved to know about those, especially since she was now a resident like the rest of them…
Ah… he still had a few moments of hazing mind, y’know. Her ashen hair and gem-like eyes reminded him of Shirotsume High, the academical institution that he studied in before switching career and becoming a mage. He had met someone… visibly similar to her, back then. Had a crush on said girl, too. The outcome? Humiliation… but he had met her, again. And yet, he was left to heal from injuries that she didn’t mean to cause him, on top of finding out that she didn’t feel the same way he did. It took a long time, but… he was older now. His heart wasn’t so weak anymore.
… Now, where were we – oh yeah, uhm, Imai had promised to meet up with Vitria at the portal inside the Red Dragon’s Inn. The same portal that they had taken to visit Yggdrasi- h-hehehee… it brought back pleasant memories. He couldn’t help but relax all the muscles in his face at the images popping in his head.
Either way, he had promised to show her around the capital and participate in the festival along with her. Since it was Halloween, obviously, there was a dress code – scary costumes! He wore a costume that suited his character and personal traits the most… which just happened to not be an incubus outfit (‘cause he didn’t have the balls), but it was still the second-most closest to his character traits… a werewolf. With a pair of fluffy, fake wolf ears, fake wolf pelt to strap to the top of his palms, fake canines, and a long and dark trench coat, he thought to himself ‘wow, I sure look the part’ and was more than ready to scare the life out of children in Crocus…
But as the duo ventured across the streets, it was to no avail. Imai didn’t have it in him, he guessed. Maybe he needed more details on his outfit – like, say, an entire wolf mask… or maybe a longer tail. He was trying his best, okay!?
Still, he was with Vitria. She was likely still not all too accustomed to Crocus, so he’d try his best to lead the way for her, until they reached a giant cauldron attended by a witch and her black cat. A classic take on witches and sorceresses with their magical potions of unknown effects on the human bod- that didn’t sound safe at all. “… Hey, mind if I ask ye a thing or two? Just to be completely safe, y’know, 100% on it, no hesitation and all…”
“Sure, what questions do you have?”
“… Is that safe? T-The potion, I mean… it says here on the sign ‘Tricks in store for the unwary who partake in the witch’s potion’, but, like, I mean…” He didn’t want to admit it straight out, but he was kind of worried. Some might say scared, some mightn’t, but drinking a potion with a completely random effect? Was he to just jump head down into that?
“All five effects have been documented, young man. It can’t go wrong,” the witch insisted, which made Imai brave enough to grab a pair of potions and head towards Vitria. There, he stood, getting lost in her amber eyes and forgetting entirely why he had approached her… until the corner of his eyes spotted the potions again. “O-Oh, yeah, here… should be like a sort of lucky egg game,” he told her with a confident grin before downing his potion. It didn’t taste like soda pop at all, but… it, uh…
Vitria’s chest suddenly grew larger. What was up with tha- wait, no, the entire world suddenly grew larger! What the hell?! And he, he sunk into the ground! “W-Woah, woah, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait-“ Imai panicked, his voice slowly getting a higher pitch to it as he suddenly stopped… sinking…
He didn’t sink into anything, but his entire body had shrunk into the height and width of a foot! Like, most of a foot! He couldn’t help but glare up at Vitria in utter disbelief, with the poor witch glaring at the scene with a raised brow.

The slayer looked as baffled as the witch did as he suddenly shrunk, having no idea about just what was in the potion. A part of her wanted to laugh but the look on Imai’s face didn’t seem to warrant that, so she did her best to repress that. She was a little annoyed too since she’d been hoping that they would get up close and personal with each other again once they’d explored the festival. Their encounter at the guild hall was still rather fresh in her mind and the chemistry that they had was rather infectious. The Bellum woman enjoyed being around him and she certainly hoped that he felt the same way. Yet, with him in such a tiny state, the ideas that she had considered had taken a bit of a knock. That blasted potion.
Never having attended an event quite like this before, Vitria had been at a bit of a loss as to what to wear. Imai had given her a run down of how things worked and she’d dashed off to the nearest clothes shop that she could find. Unfortunately, their stock had been rather limited and the shopkeeper had struggled to find something that fit her…rather generous assets. Still, she’d eventually managed to grab hold of a red coloured maid outfit, which fit her like a glove. It’d definitely caught the eyes of some of the locals that they’d passed but she was with Imai and had managed to ignore them well enough.
The capital was so big that it made her head spin a bit and it’d take a little while for her to get her bearings. Imai seemed to know where he was going though and so she had trusted him with leading them around. Bellum had some lovely churches but it didn’t quite have the same party atmosphere as Crocus had. The whole city seemed to be bustling and Vitria couldn’t deny that she rather liked that. Everyone seemed so happy and cheerful, which made her feel the same way.
Turning to the witch and then giving her potion a glance, she’d ask. “Is that going to happen again? I’d rather not be flattened by the stampede if you get my meaning.”
The witch managed to respond with a slight grin. “Somehow, I get the feeling that it’s you who does the flattening.”
“WHAT?!” The slayer replied with mock fury. “Outrageous.” The fact she was smiling as she spoke gave it away. Truer words had never been spoken.
After looking at Imai again, Vitria would swallow the potion, dreading the thought that they’d think her to be afraid of doing so. It tasted quite nice and honestly, nothing much seemed to happen, besides her feeling a little chilly for a moment. Once she’d finished, she glanced down at her body to find that she’d become ghost-like in appearance, see through almost. “Well, that’s weird.” She commented.
“Ah. That’s one of the usual effects, it’ll wear off soon.” The witch answered, before looking down at Imai. “I’m not so sure about him though. Never seen that change before.”
That sounded ominous.

Holy fuck, crap, shit- *BEEP* *BEEP*- this was actually a most terrible occurrence. It just dawned Imai how grave his ‘little’ situation was as he began filtering the new size of his through his soda-popped brain… he was small! Fucking small! That meant he couldn’t touch Vitria like before, his hands were too small to do their jobs as well as he’d done back at the portal! FUCK!!!
He couldn’t grope her, he couldn’t French kiss her, he couldn’t do anything beyond those pleasantries – not in this size! His hand wouldn’t be able to coil all the way around her buns, his chest wouldn’t be able to feel her generous, hourglass form beyond just a wall of softness – it was the image of her in his mind accompanied by the touching that made sparks of ecstasy, not just sole sensations! He needed to be able to put images into what exactly he was feeling, that was how the human mind worked!
“… OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD-“ Imai cried in a hysterical, high-pitched and pixie-like voice with arms flailing, crushed by the gravity of what he was unable to do to Vitria – the sole worry that ran through his mind before the notion of being able to enjoy the entire bite of a sandwich or drink soda pop ever again without bursting his lungs with carbon dioxide, “HOW DO I TURN BACK, I WANNA TURN BACK, THIS IS BAD, THIS IS TERRIBLE, I-I-I-I-“
“R-Relax, boy! Now, now, I know it may look crazy, but… between you and me,” the witch began whispering to them, “I remember other weird effects taking place. They all fade away after a while – thankfully. Otherwise, I’d have lost my job here.” Imai couldn’t help but glare up at the witch with crystal tears trickling down his face. “Y-You mean that? It’s gonna wear off on its own, I don’t need to worry about something?”
“You have my word, boy… and sorry for all of this. Perhaps one of the holiday’s attributes is inflicting you – the attribute of chance. We’re all products of chance, in one way or another… but only if you think deep enough about it. The way you two must’ve met, say, could be a mere chance… or more,” the witch continued before letting her black cat down from the cauldron and near the celestial mage. Arguably, but understandably, Imai stepped back with a white face due to the sheer size difference, but the black cat simply patted his head with its paw and went on its way. “But… you’re still wizards, are you not, you two? The sovereignty of chance is not absolute to you… I dare say that nothing is absolute to the power of a wizard. It’d be unwise to underestimate the potential that Magic holds, just like it’d be unwise to think that a mere potion made by an amateur like me would endure long inside the belly of yours.”
With those words, she simply smiled warmly at them both before stirring her cauldron. “Besides, you’ll be able to see the world a little differently from your new size. Make good use of it, while it lasts…” It honestly felt like a divine revelation to Imai, not only due to the fact that the witch was big compared to him- as in, compared to his pygmie-like size… but she was right. He was a pretty darn powerful mage – he could handle being small for a little while.
With that, they were ready to move on, but not before Sei – the pink alien that accompanied Imai everywhere – decided to float next to Vitria for a greeting. Imai had begun trying to reach her hand but to no avail…
“So, uh… y-you know, maybe it’s not too bad! At least, you can still see all of me, hehe…” he tried to laugh it off at the view of… wait-
“Aw, what?! You’re like a specter, now…” he proclaimed at the sight of a translucent Vitria, “… Like one of those silhouettes I used to dream about… heeeh, heheeehehehe… a-anyway, you see any fun activities from up there? Maybe some chibi-friendly ones, at that?” Not gonna lie, he couldn’t see very far – many objects stood in the way of his vision, so unless if he could get up on Vitria or something… maybe sit on her shoulder or head to look around. Like a familiar!

As Vitria watched the witch and Imai talk, a small pink little creature approached her from the side. He seemed perfectly harmless so the slayer didn’t jump and instead reached out with a translucent hand and stroked his head. She didn’t know what species he was exactly but that didn't bother her too much, he was friendly and that was all that mattered. “You’re such a sweetheart. I hope Imai realises that.” The white haired woman cooed towards him, spending a few moments giving him all the attention that he wanted. Vitria had heard that slayers tended to have companions called exceed but she’d never come across one yet and assumed that perhaps they were just a myth or something.
Once the two had finished speaking, Vitria turned her gaze to the chibi Imai and asked, her powerful vision giving her a perfect view of the area around them. “There’s something called the Tunnel Of Terror over there if you fancy it? It doesn’t sound all that scary to me but perhaps we could get a laugh out of it?” It took quite a lot to scare the slayer, given how eager she was to explore and tumble around. She wasn’t a tomboy as such but the Bellum native certainly wasn’t going to start crying at a few cardboard cutout pictures of ghosts and goblins.
It seemed as though she was still solid enough to interact with the world around her and she was soon offering her hand down for Imai to climb up on. “I guess you’re going to have to ride on my shoulder for a bit. I’d hate for you to get caught in the crowd and the witch here might lose her job if you get hurt. Just be careful where you put those wandering hands of yours. That’ll have to wait until later.” He’d know exactly what she was referring to and a smirk crossed her features at that moment.
Once he clambered on, Vitria would offer a goodbye to the witch and head off towards the large tunnel attraction that was a fair distance away. It didn’t look all that frightening either but the looks on the faces of some of those who were coming out did give her pause for thought. Some of them looked absolutely terrified and the slayer had to raise an eyebrow. “What’s with them? Surely it’s just a few pop up vampires and such, right? Right.”
Without any further thought, she’d lead the two towards the entrance and sit in the boat, where soon enough the ride would start and the Sabertooth duo would head into the gloom. Vitria, her mind still dwelling on the frightened people, couldn’t help but muse about what they were about to see. It wasn’t going to be that bad and surely this tunnel couldn’t read their minds or anything, in order to show them things that they never wished to. That would be too much for a simple Halloween ride to accomplish. No, it was surely just a little bit of fun.

Re: Heartwarming Halloween Hotspotting
Imai would quickly grab her hand and do his best to climb his way up her arm, until she put him on her shoulder for him to sit and finally have a better look around. “I… feel like an Exceed now,” Imai commented to the new experience, “You don’t have an Exceed yet, though? All Dragon Slayers have one… I think… yeah, probably. It’s like a trademark.” Imai knew very little about Exceeds and their famous attraction to Dragon Slayers as companions, but he did know one, certain thing from sitting up here on her shoulder.
He was only a jump away from being stuffed somewhere really, really nice. But alas, they were still on a date, and they had places to go… even Vitria called him out on his fingers crooking in anticipation. “A-Aw, c’mooooon…” he cried playfully, “Not like I can do much with this size… fiiiiiine.”
For now, he’d let her lead the way – how she was able to find the Tunnel of Terrors from here, where he couldn’t see it, was maybe just super senses brought to her by her Dragon Slayer Magic. Imai wished that he could do the same thing, but he did have sharp magical senses to compensate.
The Tunnel of Terrors… and the people walking out from it… it foreboded something unpleasant. They looked genuinely terrified. But he couldn’t cave in right here when they hadn’t seen what was in store for them, so Imai said nothing as they took the boat and headed into the dark…
…
The sudden jumpscare of what was, essentially, a gigantic cardboard image of a moth had Imai’s heart skip a beat – his face was white and cold as ice, and it appeared as if life had just been pushed out of his body. A silent but pitched sort of screech was escaping his lips as he leaned over and fell off Vitria’s shoulder, searching for the closest safe space he could find – the valley of her bosom. His head and torso dove right in there, leaving his legs twitching in fear above.
He loathed moths.

Re: Heartwarming Halloween Hotspotting
The slayer was completely unconvinced by what she was seeing and a sigh escaped her lips as she watched the various pop up creatures. It wasn’t scary in the slightest and Vitria felt just a tad bored after a bit. Apparently the folks that they’d seen before were just scaredy cats and the white haired woman had seen scarier stuff during her short time in the country. Heck, she’d walked in on her parents once and by god, what she’d seen there was enough to scare the life out of anyone. Compared to that, this was nothing at all.
That didn’t seem to be the same for Imai though, who’d decided that her chest was the best place to protect himself from the devilish cutouts. A smirk crossed her features but she couldn’t just leave him there and so she gently pulled him out, placing him back on her shoulder. “Look, they’re just made of paper, there’s nothing to be afraid of. It’s not a real moth or anything like that. Just take a few deep breaths and you’ll be fine.” She chuckled a little then although her next words were purely in jest rather than making fun of him. “Who’d have thought that an Ace of Sabertooth would be afraid of a moth? Did you have a bad experience with one or something?” She genuinely wanted to know and even though she teased him, the slayer meant well.
As the ride continued, Vitria wondered what it would take for her to jump in as bad a way as him. If she was honest, it’d probably be something completely different to ghosts and ghouls, it’d be the loss of her home. The hybrid would bravely fight against any foe to protect Bellum and to see it in flames would be truly soul destroying. Of course, she’d do her best to prevent that from happening. The Dragon Of Bellum would stop at nothing to defeat Pergrande.

Re: Heartwarming Halloween Hotspotting
… Leaving her warm and safe bosom this quickly only revealed a white-faced Imai who, for some odd reason, feared moths more than any other creature in the animal kingdom. It was due to… well… past experiences.
“…” He did take a few, deep breaths in and out by her suggestion before finding himself on her shoulder once more, this time a bit more collected than earlier, “Have you… ever seen silk moths before? What they do with their… t-their… s-silk…”
Flashbacks to a time immemorial, when Imai was a little runt who visited a silk farming faculty near Shirotsume. By his own reckless actions, he got himself trapped in a huge container with all of the freshly-hatched silk worms that immediately kept shooting sticky silk around him in self-defense. He had silk everywhere… it took 4 or 5 hours to remove it all.
“… D-Don’t fall into silk worm pits…” was all he could muster out of his mouth as a warning to Vitria before the ride was finally done. Imai was still a little dizzy, and having a can of soda pop really sounded tempting right now. Although, would he even be able to finish the entire can in his present size? Would the carbon dioxide explode him!? Maybe he shouldn’t try it, anyway… he felt so fragile! It was so-
“I could need a soda pop right now… wait, woah, woah, Vitria, I’m-“
Ah, at last! The effects of the potion were wearing off, and he was hesitating on whether he should jump off now or- oh well, the reversion happened instantly, so he didn’t get to choose… instead, in an attempt to not harm Vitria’s shoulder with his own weight, he slid off of her and tumbled a little once he found foothold again.
He began running his hands all over himself… was everything good? What about his abdomen? Pulling his pants a little, he was relieved to know that all the important parts had returned to their normal sizes again. A long, pleasant sigh escaped his lips at the magical work that brought him back to his full size, finally not too small to do all the things he wanted to do… with Vitria… and she was right in front of him.
He didn’t waste a second and picked her up, now holding her over his shoulder as he dashed off. “Don’t mind me… just gonna find a place,” he reassured her on his way across a wide area with plenty of Halloween-themed music playing in the air. Plenty of folks were around, and some did throw glances at the werewolf-clad dude running off with a red-dressed maid over his shoulder, but Imai simply waved at them as he finally found a bench around a block where nobody was…
That was where he gently put Vitria down and embraced her, smushing his head deep into her bosom and letting himself melt away. He just couldn’t wait any longer, and the ambient Halloween music in the background was adding to the naughty atmosphere a little. “D-Damn it, the things I couldn’t do earlier… mmmmmffffffffffffffhhhhh~!”
