In centuries past, but not too many, there lay a united empire in the east under one banner of Sepulchre, a powerful and prestigious mage of mysterious lands, that has found its way out of the age of strife and into an era of peace. How the banner of Sepulchre came to be was unknown, but it was clear that he himself was the one responsible in ushering a new era of peace through the unification of the Warring Clans of Halcyon of the most eastern part of the continent and the Kingdom of the Royal Sultan Aslan.

This era of peace did not last long as an entity of unspeakable evil and unparalleled might emerged at the capital of the established country of Ru’in. Lives were lost and souls were devoured by this entity known as Judas, summoned forth by the heretics of the Church of Twilight. Those who were the most powerful of the kingdoms were present - Aslan and his Household Servants; Halcyon, the oni samurai; Alexander, and the Brass Seraphs; and Sepulchre. Their combined might was not enough to repel the invading forces of chaos and destruction. In a last ditch effort, Sepulchre conjured a spell so powerful it required the collective power of the entire capital to seal this entity away. The spell worked in a way, but with an unintended side effect - those who lent their power to seal the demon ARE sealed with it as well. In a twist of fate and irony, the great country of Ru’in and its era of peace fell into ruin and it has once more entered an age of strife between the West and East, with the now corrupted Church of Twilight pulling the strings of malice to destroy them, until eventually the lands were ultimately destroyed.

Centuries have passed and the sealed Judas has somehow managed to extend his malevolent influence amongst the sealed, and has corrupted their minds, but three was able to resist his influence. The seal has lost most of its power and efficacy through the passing of time, and it was time for Judas to attempt to break free. The magic may have waned, but he cannot break free from the seal Sepulchre has placed, not without an appropriate vessel. In this era, the Arch Vorbrundt order has discovered a shipment with the seal. The seal was weak enough for Loki to manipulate and corrupt them, ordering them to search for a suitable host, and so they searched.

The psychokinetic strength and psionic aptitude of Michael Brooklyn Morgan was suitable. As the will of Judas, the traitors of the order have massacred all those not under Judas's  influence. Michael was hurt badly, but not too hurt, as they needed him to be in perfect condition for the seal to be transferred to him. The transfer was incomplete when Giselle and a few handful of survivors ambushed and interrupted the ritual. Though incomplete, this was still a victory for him. In order for him to fully reincarnate, he needed his host to fully succumb to his influence. He found him to be somewhat mentally unstable, irate and a believer of brutal justice. Disguised as ‘Sepulchre’s Sigil’, the demon lent him his powers. Judas's background is unknown, as well as its origin. One thing's for sure - in the presence of Judas, all magic is in danger.

Eventually, the elder god C'thulhu joined in and contested the demon's right to use Michael as their catalyst for reincarnation. It was long after that incident that Michael borrowed their powers to perform a powerful psionic technique that sent people to a faraway land in order to usher them to safety. The consequence of the esper's action resulted in the physical manifestation of their influence.

    UNIQUE ABILITIES

Dormant Arm of the Devil I Michael’s right hand is cursed with the demon’s influence, perhaps unsightly from the perspective of onlookers unfond of this demonic appearance. Hellish energies flow through this arm to him and rewards him with a boon. He passively gains a 60% increase to his maximum HP, expanding his vitality and making him even more resilient against enemy attacks, as well as a 60% increase to his maximum PSI.

Dormant Signs of the Dreamer I Michael’s entire left arm is marked with tattoos and sigils, depicting the features of the eldritch god, C’thulhu, and the story of R’lyeh. At the shoulder is a single eldritch eye marking. None of these are superficial, as these let him endure ordeals and expand his reservoirs of power. He gains a 60% increase to his maximum HP and PSI.

Pendulum Soul I His entire being sways ever so slowly between the Devil and the Eldritch god, as their ongoing battle continues within his mindscape for total dominance on their vessel. Yet the forces they exert within him caused a confluence of power that would surge through him freely, allowing him to take more damage and more reservoirs of power to fuel his psionic abilities. He gains a 60% passive increase to his maximum HP and PSI.

    PLOT ABILITY

Aura of the Endbringer I As the bearer of Sepulchre's sigil, with the collective influence of both Judas and C'thulhu, he radiates an aura of fear and nihilism due to the sheer magnitude of their strength and influence over him and his environment. This feeling can only be felt by those who are powerful enough to sense this aura or those sensitive to such auras and psionic signatures. Due to this, he passes off as radiating demonic and godlike energy. There are ways to repress this aura, however, so as to make him more approachable. Regardless of how they react to his presence, player characters, player NPCs, and event owned NPCs can only be subjected to this plot ability with consent from their owners.

Death Knell I The incident in Felidae drove him to harness both eldritch and demonic energy. As a result, it won't be long until he passes, his body to be made as a catalyst for one of the sealed entities within him.

The intermingling of these otherworldy forces has allowed him to harness the boons of destruction and annihilation - namely Oblivion Arts and Chthonian Evolution. Oblivion Arts are boons he can use to increase the parameters of his abilities actively through the etching of these eldritch glyphs, effectively making him even more dangerous and allowing him to bring further ruin. His Chthonian Evolution functions similarly that it provides him a bonus, however, they are passive in nature. These otherworldly energies have permanently altered some parts of him not visible to anyone which just makes him even more... enigmatic. These altered parts, however, grant him greater reservoirs of power to tap unto.

A pact forced unto him as a result of borrowed power, he is now capable of undergo a temporary change, Metamorphosis, to bolster his psionic prowess and strength. He can become a force to be trifled with as a Chthonian Soldier, his enigmatic eyes glowing beneath his headwear's shadow and his being veiled in enigma. Thusly, he is able to pretend as Lorenzo under this guise. But to truly spark fear against his enemy, he must make use of this power to its fullest and undergo metamorphosis, turning into one capable of unleashing calamities of untold proportions - the Endbringer.

An aberration made possible only with the intermingling of demonic and godly energies. When the heavens fall at his metamorphosis and the trumpets blare from the dark clouds, it can only mean that the Endbringer has stepped the stage not just to bring calamitous destruction, but to sow despair. In the eyes and presence of the Endbringer, magic is meaningless and banal. His eldritch visage brings insanity among the common folk and drives those under his gaze to hysteria. Gold adorns his being as a temptation to stare at his majesty, only to succumb to hysteria with a gaze. Do not take the Endbringer lightly - his laws, Dogma, subjects anyone and everyone to his rule regardless if you are an ally or not.

Any requips or equipment he is wearing is melded into this new form as part of his metamorphosis. Its different take over parts, while having separate and distinguishable looks as their entities’ counterpart, have become uniform under this new identity that instills terror unto the hearts of his enemies and allies alike. In addition, his other combat arts (Soldier’s Gambit & Psionic Resurgence) have altered descriptions of what they look like without any change to their effects, acting only as flavor.

Should you survive the bouts of madness and find yourself running, whatever you do - do not look back.

These words are divine, and these divine words are true - Such were the teachings of a church in a perfect world now devoid of magic that it brought ruin and imbalance - a world whose gods abandoned them to their own unmaking, and where the gods’ gaze did not look at it not out of pity, but of contempt. Otherworldly scriptures of holy texts reveal themselves around him detailing the church's doctrines and, as the last word is penned, the Law of Crusadia is invoked: “Thus it is written - the enemies of the church shall have their lives bound and forfeit under God’s sacred flame. These words are divine, and these divine words are law.”

In a twist of irony, the technique is invoked not in the name of the church or a higher power to inflict punishment, but of hatred and contempt for magic. The area is transformed into a purgatory at the invocation of this technique, spreading up to its maximum range centered on himself, during which the affected area is subjected to his law. Everyone within this technique’s zone has their spell range and spell speed reduced by 86%, regardless of whether they are allies or not. In addition, those subjected to the zone’s law would find themselves being chased by hellish chains that, when in contact, not only restrains them, but also burns 5% of their HP. His crusade against sinners and heretics allows him to traverse the great expanse in the blink of an eye as his being is sucked into a miniature wormhole, reappearing anywhere within his burst range once per post.

Hear the echoes of my soul - Such were the words the heretic, Judas, said before his world succumbed to his song of oblivion. In a world where the gods’ gaze fell, its people were abandoned as punishment for their arrogance, delivered by the demon himself, who turned a world of paradise into nothingness. The heavens blare the sound of trumpets, ushering the first melody to his song of oblivion and, as the encore ends, his law is invoked.

His song of despair fills the area, its aria of nihilism affecting everyone save for himself and his retainers. Ethernanos is sucked out and weakens magic considerably under this technique’s law, reducing affected wizards’ spell damage, spell durability, and spell healing by 57%, rendering them close to meaningless, as well as a 5% HP and MP burn per post. While this law is invoked - he is capable of unraveling the strings of magic conjured by counteracting it with a wave of ‘dead magic’, allowing him to negate a single spell of equal rank or lower within his burst range, or reflect a single spell of equal rank or lower through an eldritch film manifesting within his burst range. All rules for negation and reflection apply.

Plot Ability - Those whose HP reaches 0, killed outright, or has their MP reduced to 0 will succumb to this technique's effects and turn into salt statues, which extends to their soul. This only takes effect with prior consent to affect player characters, player NPCs, and event owned NPCs.

Despair and insanity awaits those who gaze too deep into the abyss - Such were the warnings said to those who dared to face otherworldly deities, ill equipped to take on a deity or marvel at their power. Yet it didn’t stop them from peering over curiously beyond the material, and what awaited them were horrors beyond reason. Such is the law that governs the plane dwelled by these otherworldly deities, whose visage inspires horror and madness. With this technique, he brings this law to the material.

When invoking this law, a rift between the material and the otherworldly begins to form, eldritch energies flowing and absorbing into him. Once the process is complete, he begins to radiate a dense aura of nihilism that everyone within his AoE radius, excluding himself and his retainers, are burned 5% of their HP per post while within this technique’s radius. In addition, he may channel the eldritch energies flowing through him into multiple blasts of otherworldly strength or a localized tempest of eldritch horrors in an area originating from himself, dealing lethal damage on hit. He may only choose either mode of attack per post. In addition, this attack possesses a piercing effect that bypasses defensive abilities at the cost of 50% of its base damage.

While this technique is active, he gains a 115% > 172% increase in technique range.

Plot Ability - When enemy HP is reduced to 0 or is killed outright within this technique’s AoE radius, they are afflicted with these otherworldly energies that their skin will corrode into black liquid before their flesh turns into tar, leaving nothing but their skeletal remains mired with this black liquid and their arms reaching for the heavens for help, but to no avail. This corrosion can affect non-magical objects and structures as well, leaving behind proof of his carnage. This only takes effect with prior consent to affect player characters, player NPCs, and event owned NPCs.
