Training Thread: No Fight Left to Fight Description: In millenias past, but not too many, there lay a united empire in the east under one banner of Sepulchre, a powerful and prestigious mage of mysterious lands, that has found its way out of the age of strife and into an era of peace. How the banner of Sepulchre came to be was unknown, but it was clear that he himself was the one responsible in ushering a new era of peace through the unification of the Warring Clans of Halcyon of the most eastern part of the continent and the Kingdom of the Royal Sultan Aslan.
This era of peace did not last long as an entity of unspeakable evil and unparalleled might emerged at the capital of the established country of Ru’in. Lives were lost and souls were devoured by this entity known as Loki, summoned forth by the heretics of the Church of Twilight. Those who were the most powerful of the kingdoms were present - Aslan and his Household Servants, Halcyon the oni samurai, Alexander and the Brass Seraphs, and Sepulchre. Their combined might was not enough to repel the invading forces of evil. In a last ditch effort, Sepulchre conjured a spell so powerful it required the collective power of the entire capital to seal this entity away. The spell worked in a way, but with an unintended side effect - those who lent their power to seal the demon ARE sealed away instead. In a twist of fate and irony, the great country of Ru’in and its era of peace fell into ruin and it has once more entered an age of strife between the West and East, with the now corrupted Church of Twilight pulling the strings of malice to destroy them.
Centuries have passed and the sealed Loki has somehow managed to extend his malevolent influence amongst the sealed, Aslan excluded, and has corrupted their minds. Though the seal may have lost some of its power, Loki requires a host for his reincarnation. The magic may have waned, but he cannot break free from the seal Sepulchre has placed. In this era, the Arch Vorbrundt order has discovered a shipment with the seal. The seal was weak enough for Loki to manipulate and corrupt them, ordering them to search for a suitable host, and so they searched.
The magical aptitudes and strength of Michael Brooklyn Morgan was suitable. As the will of Loki, the heretics of the order have massacred all those not under Loki’s influence. Michael was hurt badly, but not too hurt, as they needed him to be in perfect condition for the seal to be transferred to him. The transfer was incomplete when Giselle and a few handful of survivors ambushed and interrupted the ritual.
Though incomplete, this was still a victory for him. In order for him to fully reincarnate, he needs his host to be completely mindless. He found him to be somewhat mentally unstable at some point, irate and a believer of brutal justice. Disguised as ‘Sepulchre’s Sigil’, the demon lent him the powers of the champions of the fallen empire.
In order to hasten his ‘reincarnation’, Loki had planned to use the powers of the corrupted champions to be lent to him. Halcyon’s corruption had unintended effects which led him to take over the host in his moment of extreme frustration and anger to the point that he will kill the one who had wronged him. He exploited his emotions to his advantage and used his influence to corrupt the host’s mind to the point that Michael was distrusting of people, including his family.
Though ‘Sepulchre’s Sigil’ is classified as magic, it is ultimately a seal that binds Loki from ever being reincarnated, and Michael cannot use it unless he is in a state of extreme emotion such as unbridled rage, which enables a specific corrupted champion (save for Aslan) to completely take over the host and manifest their forms temporarily, ending only when the host is incapacitated or when what the host wanted to accomplish was done. As such, with the exception of Aslan, Michael cannot use partial take-overs.
[Plot Ability ] Overdrive - As Michael drowns in his unbridled and overpowering emotion within him, a specific fallen champion takes over their body as its vessel and manifests itself. Additionally, the host cannot use partial or full take-over spells, and use this magic's spells, with the exception of Aslan. As a plot ability, this will set the duration of take-over spells to 'until its host falls unconscious or until it fulfills its host's current desire'. Outside the plot, take-over spells utilize normal duration rules.
Abilities:
- Malefic Lifeline - Loki’s influence on his host allows him to alter their physique that it enables him to heal all wounds, granting him a passive HP Regeneration of 5% of his maximum HP. Additionally, through Loki’s direct manipulation of the host’s physique, it has granted the host enhanced endurance, allowing him to take more damage and last longer in combat. This increases his maximum HP by 50%.
- Defiant Pendulum - The malignant force that has corrupted Sepulchre's sealing sigil has allowed the champions trapped within to manifest, and Loki's influence over it has allowed his pendulum of power to sway over every fallen champion. When a fallen champion manifests itself and takes over the host's body, they gain a 50% buff for 6 posts. The buff can be either a spell damage buff or melee damage buff, depending on which champion takes over the host.
- Halcyon, Wrath of Justice:
A champion whose essence is full of unbridled fury, Halcyon is an avian creature who yearns to deliver harsh punishment and brutal justice against his oppressors and the wrongdoers. He yearns for it so much that he takes it to the extremes, mercilessly torturing his victims and murdering the criminals he encounters. Vengeance personified, Halcyon will stop at nothing to seek personal justice until his thirst for it is sated. Halcyon responds to the host's extreme state of anger against someone to the point that he will do anything to see his enemy killed in the most gruesome ways, a thought that was directly influenced by Loki. When this happens, he enters a state of frenzy in which his bloodthirst is sated only when his opponent is killed or if he falls unconscious. "I don't know what happened... [Plot Ability ] Aura of Fear - After Halcyon's manifestation unto its host, an aura of fear exudes from itself. Those guilty of committing the most heinous of crimes against the name of justice and/or unto its host that attracted its ire have a lingering feeling of fear... and possibly imminent death. Name: Greater Might Rank: B Category: Auxiliary Type: Passive Description: Halcyon's physique is unique that no one understands its physiology. His unique body of his has allowed him to be physically capable of lifting the heaviest of metal, and has trained himself in the art of combat. To his advantage against enemies in close combat, he is able to hit harder and move faster, granting him 30% additional melee damage and 20% speed. - Aslan, Pride of Temperance:
A demon of impeccable intelligence and the leader of a prosperous kingdom, Aslan is a fiend of power who knows restraint. He is very calculating to his actions and very rarely lets his emotions take hold of him. Gifted with the ability to tap unto the land's ley lines, his aptitude for magic was enhanced a thousand-fold, thus he was given the title of 'Daemonic Magician' back in his days for his catastrophic display of prowess. He also shows proficiency in other areas such as politics and history. One should not dare double-cross him, for a small misstep against him will result to your obliteration. Aslan is the only demon who is safe to talk to, as his whispers are not that of temptation, but one that is significant in the host's journey. It could be said that Aslan is self-aware and doesn't take interest in manifesting itself. He can freely lend his host his powers without the repercussion of corruption as his natural talent for magic has allowed himself to be completely immune to Loki's influence. - Eye of Aslan:

These eyes have enhanced vision, making them see things sharper near and far, also allowing them to make up clear details of what they see. As a plot ability, the eyes are also capable of seeing the ethernanos particles around him and detect any anomalies that may be occurring or have occurred.
