Standing in the Light [Aliannah Intro]

Grappa had been remaining busy throughout the many days back at the main RUne Knights building doing her best to stay busy. The ongoing events and getting equipment ready for deployment was fresh on the entire Engineering Division's minds, and it would on her shoulders to ensure that everyone would be well stocked and accounted for. Out of uniform for the time being, the exceed had taken to her adult form, wearing a modest looking dress and attire while having been going through Era in order to take her mind off of things for the time being. A quick run to get some juice for herself had quickly evolved into something more. She had just entered and would be talking with one of the front desk workers about things when the doors opened as they always had, but this time carrying the sight of a lovely young woman making her way into the hall. The woman's emerald eyes locked onto the girl's luscious locks of blonde hair, casting a surprised expression for only a moment. She had not the faintest idea why, but her mind was elsewhere at the moment despite the topic being on joining the Rune Knights as many had done before her. All eyes fell on the General, who would approach the woman. Grappa took a moment to compose herself, to appear as the dignified leader of their branch as she had been trained to do a thousands times in practice. Her lips parted to speak and welcome her to the first stop on any aspiring recruit's tour.

What came out instead was a stammered, "W-Wow, you're beautiful." She did catch her own little slip up, a faint color appearing on her cheeks while she would clear her throat and be afforded a moment of zen to rearrange her thoughts. "Ah-I mean...Yes, I'm General Sinclair. I can help you fill out the required information to join."

It was hard to tell what was really making her feel so odd. One half of the Generals Sinclair would stand before this woman as a future superior in every regard, but still, the pit of Grappa's stomach felt like something was moving inside of it. She stood up straight out of habit, although that faint redness to her cheeks was still visible as day. Aliannah was thankfully a bit more understanding as to her little Freudian slip, the woman's smile as beaming as the sun above the clouds. The woman chuckled nervously, tucking some hair behind an ear as she felt the soft contact of her earrings against her neck. "R-Right…It's a pleasure to meet you, Aliannah." The General smiled brightly, fetching a clipboard from the table and spinning it around to face towards her, pen at the ready. It was a trick she had picked up and been taught by Jellisha. Likely one symptom of venting her boredom of meetings by finding some fairly unimpressive to placate her restlessness with. "My name is General Sin-"

The woman looked over to see the familiar shape of Mythal walking over towards her. Grappa did feel a bit worried for his general health with the current affairs regarding The Rune Knights. Even with his duties as somebody above welcoming new recruits, he had likely had to have welcomed some who were a part of a larger group to participate in the war against Pergrande. The girl wondered just how he functioned with this abnormal amount of stress the man had to go through on a day to day basis. Still, Grappa smiled at her father, walking towards him as she gently would hug him, her arms around his body. It was a rather inappropriate gesture in front of a recruit, but she could care less.

Mythal might recall the grip as similar to the many over the time he had known the twins to be one that showed love, but worry. Maybe it was to show reaffirm that everything would be okay in the end, despite how bleak the chance of this conflict ending soon would be. Or perhaps Grappa was the one who was in need of comfort. "Hello, Dad." she smiled at him, one that was of a concerned child. Her tone changed from before, now like a student whose parent was in the room with them. "I, uh, havent seen Mo- Director Sinclair at all today. She might be busy with Jellisha in her many meetings." Grappa explained, busy fondling with Herman's again while turning back to the blonde woman in front of her. She took a breath and would exhale, smiling back at the woman. "I apologize for the sudden intrusion. If you'll just follow me. You can attend as well if you wish, Director. " Grappa flashed a nod to Mythal while leading the woman into the back of the room.

It was a cozy meeting area, with a few cushions separated by a wooden table in the middle. Grappa tucked her dress underneath her feet and would gently come to rest in the soft cotton couch, leaning back as she'd raise the clipboard to her face and fill out some information. It was almost like a copy of her mother, the ever diligent Director as she'd look back to the aspiring recruit in front of her. With her pen raised, she'd flick to the paper and begin to write.

"To begin with, Mrs. Aliannah, I did just have a couple of questions. First, why do you want to join the Rune Knights? And then second, what do you believe you can offer us?"
