Personality:

Valentina is a vibrant and curious girl with inexhaustible ambition. There isn’t a place she won’t explore or a person she won’t try to strike up a conversation with. She adores being in the moment and in the thick of whatever is going on, even if she’s just observing. Secrets both entice her and bore her, depending on how stubborn they are to reveal. She’s as open as the book she records her adventures in, keeping no secrets about herself but likewise being horrible at keeping them for others. Often breaking into either passages from famous writers or quoting her own ‘literary genius’, one would think she was the dramatic and loud type, but she’s actually reserved and, if anything, a little coy in her interactions with others. Valentina is pretty confident in herself (especially her luscious booty), and even if she isn’t, she pretends she is and tries to convince everyone else, too. Everything she sees, hears, smells, and does is simply fodder for her writings, whether it’s good or bad.

The wine business is as good in Ca-Elum as it is in the smaller branches left in Enca, so the Capricho family has effectively become a big name in the wine industry. They plan to expand to all the nations in Ishgar, and perhaps even to other continents in time.

Personality:

Santiago is a disturbed individual. Initially, he seems innocent and shy, the mirror opposite to Valentina. Introverted to a painful degree, his depression is crippling and his outlook on life is very dim. He prefers to stay quietly in the background if at all possible, though in small instances he can function as an awkward but sweet boy.

He was always a mentally fragile boy with enormous dreams of grandeur. Though he was even younger than Valli when they moved to Ca-Elum, he thought he could help raise his home country back to its former glory days by becoming a hero in the Ca-Elum navy, but that wasn’t to be. As soon as he came of age, he joined the navy as planned, but was immediately met with disaster when his ship was separated from the fleet on his first dispatch to aid Enca. After a hellacious encounter with Alphas out at sea, the ensuing blood bath left him the lone injured soldier on the warship. After a couple of weeks, the ship washed up on the shore of one of the Encan islands, and by some miracle, Santi was still alive. The lone survivor.

He was never the same after that. What little he’d had in the way of strength was gone and he was just a husk when he returned to Ca-Elum. Not only were his hero dreams destroyed, but living on a ship of dead comrades for 2 weeks broke him in ways that have yet to truly manifest. He is now capable of such terrible things when he snaps, and though he is aware of his new self and fears he may get stuck being a psychopath forever, part of him longs to be free of the weight of his trauma so he can just act on his impulses and feel normal...feel everything...or perhaps not feel at all.
