Personality: Hans is usually a man of a few words and tends to keep to himself. He is very observant, quietly reading the actions and expressions of others. This tends to help Hans on the battlefield or with other job related things, but it doesn't help him much during social things. Having not been exposed much to things like casual chitchat, and other social events, Hans finds himself a bit lost with these things. He can be awkward when left in these situations alone especially if it involves flirting or the like. Even when working together with someone on a job, he'd rather just focus on getting it done than trying to talk. Hans is rather blunt as well, not being the type to beat around the bush, but that does not mean he isn't incapable of lying when necessary. His bluntness almost completely goes out the window when dealing with certain subjects about women such as how they look, their age, and weight. He respects people who stands up for themselves or even others, but also finds those who are stubborn and try to engage in fights they obviously can't win to be annoying. Hans picks and chooses his battles, knowing when to back down when needed. He can come off as a little cocky though when fighting, but nothing too boastful or obvious.

As for his alignment, Hans would be described as being true neutral. Being a mercenary, Hans is constantly working with those with good or bad intentions. He is mostly driven by money for survival and is willing to take up nearly any job for it....except if it involves harming young children.

Despite his tough exterior, Hans has a soft spot for children. He believes that they are the only truly innocent beings in this world, and should be spared of any evilness. He is against hurting children, but is not against quickly knocking them unconscious if he believes it is for their own good. He also has respect for parents or guardians that protect their children, same going for older siblings and such. When it comes to having kids of his own, Hans secretly likes the idea of being able to settle down, and have a family, but believes he is too lost for such a thing, and that having a normal life is out of his reach.

• Swords: Hans' mentor was a swordsman and sword collector, so his fondness for swords rubbed off on him.
  
• Alcohol: Another thing Hans adopted from his mentor was a liking towards booze.
  
• Mother: Hans has so many fond memories of his caring mother.

• Child abusers: Hans cannot stand those who severely harm children.
  
• Tired: Hans is constantly tired/sleepy due to nightmares related to his past.
  
• Father: Hans' father was the main source of most of the misery he has suffered during his early childhood.
  

Motivations:

• Survival: The reason why Hans became a mercenary was so that he could survive off of the money he gains from them.
  
• Mother: He wants to continue living his life for his mother after all that she had gone through to make sure he would survive.
  
• Strength: Hans wishes to continue to grow stronger not just for himself, but for anyone he may come to care for as friends/family/etc.
  

Fears:

• Nightmares: Although he seems outwardly numb to it, Hans still feels the nightmares he often gets whenever trying to sleep, leading him to have sleepless nights.
  
• Being weak: Hans fears being too weak to protect himself or others he may come to care for.
  
• Father: Hans has a fear of becoming just like his old man, a merciless tyrant whose only desire is war and domination.
