Player Requirements: 2 C Rank or the Equivalent
Job Requirements: 7,500 Words
Job Location: Cedar
Job Description:
A kindly old man in Cedar has been settin' after taking down the Thassalus, a massive, vicious fish that's worth its' weight in gold if caught. The only problem is that he's a fisherman, not a battle master. He's left a notice in the guild halls and guard stations that he's lookin' for a group of fighters and don't care if they're wizards are meat heads so long as they've got balls the size of his ship. Starting in Cedar, you have to endure a 5 day boat ride to the Thassalus' lair. He asks you don't bring your own ship if you own one since it'll alert the beast and scare it off. As soon as you arrive, it's party time cause 'ole Thally's waiting for ya.(At the end of the mission he says he'll put a good word in with the shipmasters for you and walks off with a fat check for 5,000,000 Jewel.)A monster fish, charging in at 200 feet long with an armoured skull. The Thassalus is weak to magic, and strong to physical attacks. It can dive rapidly and blast itself up under the boat to throw everyone into the water, and there's no land around for miles. It takes 30 B Rank damage or the equivalent to take down. Meanwhile, the other creatures of the sea will be trying to kill you for entering their home.
Boss: ThassalusWeak: Jellyfish. There's hundreds of them in the water.
Normal: Baracuda. There's 15 of these in the water.
Strong: Shark. There's 10 of these in the water, they're great whites.
Reward:11k jewels

This kind of job was unique. It was said that a fisherman was going after a humongous fish called ‘the Thassalus’, and that its difficulty in catching required the assistance of two wizards along with the client of this mission. That was why Mura found himself in Cedar, the small port town at the west of Fiore where the land edges the Cloud Sea. It was a little colder up here, but that was only because Mura was slightly getting used to the summer temperatures that basked in at Magnolia. He did manage to bring a jacket with him as he was going for a boat ride. It would be relaxing to take a boat and sail around on the smooth waters, so he bothered not much to fly over to wherever the fisherman was heading towards. Even if Mura wanted to fly, the client didn’t want to spoil the location out of fear of competitors learning about it or overhearing him.
So Mura had walked up to the fairly-sized boat, found himself a place to lean up and relax as the fisherman wrote on his diary, and just took a little nap. He wasn’t the only wizard to come here, and Kyuken and Zirconis could watch out for him. Their partner would be a Rune Knight, a wizard from a group that Mura had begun to hear lots of from local news and media. They were growing in influence, recently, and with that grew the influence of the state of Fiore. The last Rune Knight Mura remembered was the spell-blader that led him to Navrick - he wondered if that man was still around, since back then, the Rune General was pretty determined in his quest. It was a sad fate that they had to retreat, however…
The boat wobbling from side to side brought comfort to the Ghost Slayer as he fell into slumber. It was irrational and pretty childish to just take a nap here, but when he asked about the boat and all, the fisherman came with the explanation as followed:
“You see, the Thassalus is a very wary creature. It can feel when there’s a boat coming nearby, and it’s always attacked the boats whenever they came too close for comfort. However, it always flees when someone jumps in the water, so my boat is necessary to keep its attention. Its lair is located several miles out in the Cloud Sea - so far that you can’t see the mainland from it. It’ll take us… approximately five days to get there? Maybe four and a half?”
One would now think; but what had Mura brought for the five-day trip? He had his katana and red dagger, his clothes, headphones and… well, pretty much it. He now just waited for his partner to show up, so that they could sail off.
