Personality: He is a very selfless, caring, and loyal person. And is always willing to help others in need even if they are from a rival guild it's just not in his nature to turn others away, but if he is pushed to fight he will only do so ciras a last resort. Rei as a child was always shy and introverted, but he loved his books the best stories to him though were the ones he heard from travelers it was his dream to travel to distant lands just to have stories of his own to tell others. He was however not a very popular child in fact he was bullied constantly, but it was because of these bullies that he met his true love the one person who actually saw him for who he was and not as a burden or a weakling. His love for her was what spurred him on to leave home at an early age and travel the country with her by his side. And during that time he changed little by little he became less meek and more sure of himself and his abilities, but it was Luciana who handled all the tough jobs while he was in charge of coming up with a plan of attack or in some cases given the job retreat.

After certain events transpired he joined Fairy Tail in order to help others since he was unable to help the one person who stood by him through thick and thin in fact that was the reason why his personality went through a drastic change instead of going off on his own and blindly running into danger and following his own wishes he has other members of his guild to look up to and learn from and they in turn rely on him for minor support whether it’s tending to wounds or cooking. (which is a rather sore subject among his group since his dishes are the reason why the majority of his group usually goes hunting for their own food and the ones foolish enough to try his food usually wind up with food poisoning afterwards)

In a fight he likes to follow the commands of whoever is leading the group since he's there more for lending support rather than fighting it isn't because of weakness in fact he can hold his own fairly well in a fight, but because of his caring nature he doesn't want to see anyone get hurt. He basically gets along with everyone and is rarely ever angry, but even if he was he would just smile and walk away not because it would be wasted effort on his part to cause a fuss, but because he really doesn't care what people say about him. In spite of his caring nature he is still a bit of an introvert which makes communicating with him a bit of trial and error sort of thing since he deflects questions about his past by changing the subject to commenting about random things which he will talk about at length for hours on end until all efforts of going back to the previous subject is exhausted.

It just takes a while for him to open up to others, but on the rare occasion that he does it's usually brief mentions of his home but that's basically it. He still collects stories, but only as a hobby since he is completely devoted to his guild and everyone in it even though he is essentially the new guy still, if they were threatened by the opposition in anyway he would do whatever was necessary to keep them safe even at the cost of his own life.



Likes:
-Odd recipes: Rei is always on the look out for strange cooking recipes given his own rather unusual taste palate it’s hard to believe that his guild members ever have a decent meal with him around.
-Words: Since childhood he has always been fascinated not just by the written word but with words in general.
-Luciana: She was his childhood friend and sweetheart, but certain events shattered their dreams of a happy future and set Rei on the path to self-discovery.

Dislikes:
-Fish: He absolutely hates fish.
-Rudeness: Rei can’t abide rudeness, but he isn’t one to raise his voice or even make a snide comment. Instead he simply walks away just to give that person time to get it out of their system.
-Fighting- He absolutely hates it, but to him it’s a necessary evil if he truly wants to protect everyone.

Motivations:
-The will to protect: He wants to protect everyone in his guild and by extension anyone who crosses his path.
-Destiny calls: Finding his true calling.(Whatever that might be)
-Burial plot: He wants to find a suitable place to lay his lost love to rest.

He also carries a pack around filled with both medical supplies, cooking supplies, and books. (Since he rarely uses magic for anything)

Ooh, 25 words short of the minimum 500 for your personality, though I wish to see less of your history and more of the actual personality. What I want to see is this guy's attitude in a fight, his attitude toward enemies or rivals, what traits he likes to see in those he wants to be his friends, as well as his attitude to guild mates who don't fit with his moral compass.
