Sometimes things that fall apart are actually falling into place
The outburst was short but powerful, and Leon fell silent when he heard Percy apologize as he did. There was really nothing he could do or say to make him feel better, was there? This was really their final day of peace together, and this was how it would end. In his moment of choked clarity, Leon slowly lowered his palms from his eyes and stared at Percy with this sullen and lost look on his face. He couldn't say anything after regaining some semblance of composure. After all, what could he say? They had spent this entire day feeling sorry for themselves, so what was the point of barking up that tree again? He was the only person he cared about, so why wouldn't he enjoy him as much as possible?
Without saying a word, Leon carefully pulled away from Percy and walked over to the wall, flicking the lights off so darkness filled the room. When he walked back over to his bed, he brought Percy with him in one of his gentle but demanding tugs, shuffling the sheets around until his lower body was under the covers and eagerly pulling him into an embrace. He smudged his face against his arm, wiping away his tears and leaving him with slightly pink eyes and a weaker voice.
"I'm still trying to figure out how I feel... about all of this..." Leon muttered, "but I don't regret meeting you either. I'd do it all over again if I could... so..."
Leon's embrace tightened as darkness enveloped them. He loved how Percy smelled, and how perfectly hit seemed to fit in his arms. Why did it have to be like this?
