Fingers brushed softly against the fabric of the jumper beneath her fingers, it was supposed to be an 'ugly sweater', but it had actually come out quite nice. It would seem all of those years of experience had not left her, it had been so long since she knitted anything. It was a hobby she had forgotten about since she walked out of the doors of her prior household, Wyatt's corpse left with it. Yet here at the Christmas festival, she had found herself wandering toward the stall, why had she sat down? Festivals had become something that she often found herself at with Johann, but not this year, after their getaway work had picked up and finding a moment to themselves was difficult this particular week. It was a shame, truthfully Amalie had gotten used to those little moments with her lover, so much so that they had become pockets of safeness and comfort. Pockets of peace rather, and without them she just felt so out of balance. Why she felt this way was another mystery, surely things were much more peaceful now, there was no reason to be concerned and yet she was. Her body was riddled with uncertainty, what had happened with Charles? What was he planning?
She knew better than to assume that her late husband's sibling had given up on his pursuit of her, the man was ruthless when it came to seeking vengeance against those who had wronged him. And no one had wronged him more than her. Which was why the quiet unnerved her, she had no idea what to expect or when to expect it. She stood up, having finished the last stitch on her jumper, it was a soft burgundy colour, white snowflakes stitched across the service. The Dies Irae guild mark patterned into each snowflake in a subtle manner, a little guild memorabilia, she wondered who to give it to. Would Johann wear this? Or perhaps Sivvy? Tucking it neatly into her bag, she would offer a small tip to the vendor for the materials, before wandering away. She could just head back now, but she didn't really feel like going home yet. She needed more time... to think.
