    Arthur Harrington
    HP: 2640/2640 MP: 1890/1890

Arthur's instructions had been frantically given to him as he was the only mage nearby when it happened. From what was being rattled off to him in a panicked tone, some type of ship had beached near the shore and their boat was in a rough state of repair. And given the paladin's proclivities towards emergency care, he was probably the one who would have been sent to deal with the issue regardless of the current lack of people in the room. Nodding, Arthur quickly equipped his armor before sprinting out of the guild hall. With a burst, the door to the grand hall blew open as Arthur was doused in the tropical sunlight. His bond with Helios was rather strong today, hopefully it would strengthen even more after he helped these people. Arthur quickly sprouted wings and flew up high into the air so that he could get a good vantage point to find where the crash had occurred. Seeing smoke rising in the distance, Arthur knew it had to be near that location. With a grunt, he thrust himself forward and adjusted to the change of his posture as he pretty much dove towards the smoking beach.

A few nerve-wrecking minutes later, Arthur found himself quickly approaching the sandy dunes of the clear watered beach. And it was definitely a large ship that had capsized of course, probably the same size of the boat he had worked on way back when he was doing jobs in Hargeon. Definitely the same size of that boat, if not larger. It was a pleasant thought, of his memories with his old crewmates, but not one that he wanted to linger on and thus make himself sad. Instead, the paladin focused on the task at hand, assessing the situation as he approached. Men and women of all shapes and sizes fled from the ship as they ran onto land and began coughing and throwing up water. They looked like they were in an awful state, some with burns and bleeding wounds. Looked like he'd have to get to work triaging, then, but since he had no information, he'd have to go by appearances. And by appearances, it was definitely the man with a wooden board sticking out of his abdomen. Approaching him quickly, Arthur cast a calming spell on him to soothe his nerves.  That would do for now, the paladin thought as he tore away the sailor's shirt to look at the wound. Blood drenched his skin and skin puckered around the impaling wood. If he was an actual biological doctor, he would have left that in as it required precise surgery, but since he was greatly skilled in healing magic, Arthur could handle this the old fashion way. Even with all of Arthur's healing magic, the sailor sobbed in pain as the paladin pulled the board out and began casting healing magic over the man's body. Golden light transferred into his skin as the bleeding slowly stopped and splinters of wood rose out of the wound. He couldn't let an infection develop, that wouldn't do. Not soon after, the wound was closing itself up as the man's internal organs were regenerated from his magic. Definitely the right person to heal first, Arthur thought as he patted the man on his forehead and looked for his next patient.

Arthur froze as one of the sailors raised a magical gun to his forehead. It's not as if the thing would have killed him, but it certainly stopped the mage in his tracks. Arthur narrowed his eyes at the sailor, guessing this group to not particularly be sailors if their unmarked sail was anything to go by.

Time on Amber Island was an adjustment for Homura. He was used to wandering around, going from job to job-- it was the first place he was allowed to have a real 'base of operations' as partt of this guild. It didn't really fit well to his nature, considering how he frequently traveled. The only way off the island was by boat and that took a long, long time. That and Asura could break free on a ship which would doom everyone on board. While he could fly, it would still be a lengthy trip by air just as much by sea.

The broody white-haired young man was now among the woods that overlooked the beach, not too far from the HQ of the Guild. He had grown to like it. Still, he couldn't risk just getting too comfortable. If he did, Asura got restless. When he got restless, he could take over. WHen he took over-- there would likely be injuries to casualties. He couldn't afford that.

Despite a member's suggestion to help him, he didn't really care for him that much. He was too 'goody-two-shoes' for his taste.

As he laid in the shade of a nearby tree, overlooking the beach he soon saw it. He didn't realize he had dozed off at first, till he heard the sounds of a struggle nearby. He cracked an eye open and rose up to see the shipwreck and soon to see the same paladin rushing out to help.

"Speak of the devil..." he commented.

Yes? Asura asked, giving a clear obvious joke due to his demonic nature.

As Homura rolled his eyes, he observed as the man rushed to help the downed sailors. But something was wrong. Homura could just 'smell' the animoucity from that ship. The deceit and hate. A side effect for having a demonic god of wrath inside him. Sure enough as Arthur had begun to treat one-- one such person was getting ready to strike.

    "Oh brother..." Homura sighed.

"The man's a goner. Oh well, go back to sleep. Asura said.

Homura wouldn't of minded but those sailors were likely pirates AND one of his guildmates were about to get himself shot. He bit his lip for a moment, his personal interests clashing with his own obligation. "Oh the hell with it..." he said as his body began to glow a deep crimson color, drawing on Asura's power.

Don't you dare think to take over of all time now. he warned, but got nothing but a laugh from Asura.

Back on the beach, Arthur would soon see the woman draw a gun on him. Just before the woman could shoot--- a flash of orange shot across them-- knocking the pistol clear from the hand of the attacker. It wasn't long but soon Arthur would see it. The sudden 'limb' of fiery energy that took the form of an arm-- belonged to HOmura as it yanked the pistol away.

The arm retracted, and pulled it towards him. "Saved your ass, palli..." Homura said with dry humor to a knock to him being a paladin. With that, the fiery limb attached to Homura's shoulders squeezed the pistol-- and it crumbled to pieces in his grip. "Did it ever enter your mind WHY this ship was here in the first place? They are probably enemies to the guild." he replied. He wanted to call him an idiot, but that was a bit more uncalled for.

It's not particularly as if Arthur was afraid of the magical gun. While it would certainly make him hurt, it wouldn't nearly have been enough to kill him yet alone take a big chunk of his vitality. What he was thankful for, though, was the flaring magic he recognized in an instant that appeared by his side to knock the gun out of the way before it was fired off in a panic by the pirate woman. It was just his luck for trying to help the poor bastards, though, and pirates or not from their apparently hostility, they were still rather injured. Arthur was conflicted, in that moment, whether he should just ignore the people who were injured or just leave them to die because they had obviously tried to kill him. The more rational side of him was begging him to just fight alongside Homura and take out the pirates, but the more compassionate side was telling him that they were suffering from some type of trauma fatigue and were thus perceiving his intentions as hostile. Regardless, the pirate crew were clearly unstable in some manner and were thus a danger, if the whole pulling a gun thing was to be considered at all. Ultimately, Arthur was glad to have the fiery mage at his side. It was definitely a surprise appearance, but one that he was thankful for now that he had proved his worth. Arthur watched the man's fiery limb crush the pistol to pieces. He had never seen that type of magic be used before, the whole fire takes form of human limbs type of deal. It was certainly interesting, however. Arthur laughed at the plain joke levelled towards him, and he couldn't help but have an equally as sarcastic reply.

"Thank you for saving me, my knight in shining armor for sure. I did consider why the ship was here in the first place, actually. There are many shipments of cargo, food, supplies, etc. As this is more of a frontier town, they don't have the means of producing everything they need and so they receive shipments. Might have just been a lost ship, that's all."

Arthur's speech was interrupted by another gunshot. He could feel the magical energy heading towards him, and so he disappeared in a flash of golden light as he blinked away from the bullets trajectory. Appearing beside the lone pirate who had fired the gun at him, Arthur put him in a chokehold before knocking him unconscious. Putting him on the ground softly, Arthur formed a pair of cuffs around the man's wrists.

"Don't be too harsh in disposing of them. Pirates as they seem to very well be, I don't think they quite deserve death."

Ugh, should of let the wench kill him Asura said in Homura's thoughts. Especially at being called a 'knight in shining armor'. Even Homura had no love to be referred to as a knight. He was wordy as usual, but it soon went silent as another gunshot went out. Homura looked to the shooter, but as the bullet would come towards Arthur-- he was gone.

It wasn't speed or just vanishing, but a shimmer of golden light and next thing he saw, Arthur was right behind the shooter. Sadly he was not the only pirate that was there. After he disabled the pirate with a headlock and knocked him out, he told Homura to not do any fatalities. Even for Homura, that was just stupid. "Oh come on..." he grumbled, rubbing his head with his regular hand.

Don't deserve death? NO DEATH?! Does he has sunbeams for brains?! Asura roared inside his head, starting to give HOmura a headache. The **** is he thinking? They are gunning to kill and he wants to play nice? He's an idiot! Let me at em! Let me at him! I'll burn em all to a crisp!

"For once I can semi-agree with that sentiment...." Homura replied to Asura under his breath.

Asura inside 'grinned' the inner face of him from inside Homura's mind excited to the scene of more and more pirates coming up. Then let me out a little bit? Come on. They won't miss a limb or two. I wanna make them piss their pants as I put the fear of Naraka in them! COme on! he demanded.

The moment Homura even thought -- okay, that was when it started. His eyes widened as Asura was able to finally grasp some control. An inpulse, a burning rage and that triggered it. The flaming extra arms behind Homura flared, turning into an aura. Markings started to show through the fiery aura as his hate, his anger and bloodlust grew. Homura tried to keep it to partials-- only keeping parts of Asura's will from breaking through. As it was, it was 1/2 of of his influence as now his body became more beastily. His fingernails became claws and his muscles bulged. Feeling the strain-- his red coat soon was 'burned' into embers, revealing a muscular torso and the growing tattoos on his body coil up his body. His hair stood up on end as his fire burned around him.

Rakshasa Soul-- the take over of the man-eater.

With a kick off, Homura charged instantly forward, facing an unaware pirate. Completely ignoring Arthur's words, Homura used a powerful flameing strike that pretty much engulfed the passed targets in flame. Using his multiple arms now from his back-- it grabbed another nearby pirate and slammed him into the sandy ground of the beach. Homura was slowly becoming a monster right before Arthur's eyes.

And now he knew why Homura was wo on edge about his own magic. At least with slimy pirates, he didn't have a real need to hold back or hold back Asura from having a little 'fun'.

From Homura's grunting displeasure and general reaction to Arthur's statement, he assumed the guy was not a fan of his plan for somewhat peaceful takedowns of these pirates. Arthur was the type of person who wasn't too preoccupied with peace, but today he was feeling particularly charitable to the pirates. Arthur was feeling charitable up until two more of them shot him while he was subduing the other pirates. Okay, they really wanted to kill him now, he would be polite anymore, it was time to neutralize the threat. From what he could see though, it seemed as if the fiery mage was already on it. Homura's magic was definitely a sight to behold, however, from how he gained markings on his skin, fiery arms at his back, and an almost voyeuristic view at the other man's muscled body. And quite disturbingly, Homura's nails grew into claws and his muscles visibly grew larger as they flexed and rippled with tension and pure physical strength and power. If not for the man's self-proclaimed lack of control in regards to his demonic type of fire magic, Arthur would have been transfixed by the display of power in front of him. He was no transfixed, however, because was anxiously aware of the fact that there was very little actually stopping the man from losing it and attacking the paladin out of his seeming rage. Though, to be fair, Arthur hadn't seen the man in his takeover style of magic before, and so he wasn't exactly sure how it would go down in the grand scheme of things. Did he lose complete control, or was it only partial, like a shared sort of space? Was the demon going to make him kill everything in sight? Even allies?  Arthur was confident in his ability to defend himself, but he didn't want to fight the man he had done a previous job with, and it wouldn't look good on his file with Dies Irae anyway, since he was looking for a promotion and all that came with that.

"Don't do anything too crazy for now. I've suddenly changed my mind about you roughing them up. We don't have much of a judicial system on this island due to its nature as a somewhat isolated frontier. Dispense your own justice on them, I'd say. The best way to control oneself is to know how far one can go before they must stop."

Arthur was not wrong in that regard. Homura would not know how to control his power  if he never actually used it and kind of lost control. Sure, it was definitely a scary subject for the mage, but the paladin was there to watch vigilantly over the take-over mage as he wrecked fiery havoc over the outlaw pirates. Arthur had a spell up his sleeve that could cool down the mage if he got too rambunctious anyway, a back up in case things got too out of hand. For now though, the paladin would just stand from his shielded position on the ship and watch over the battle. Pirates were still taking shots at him, but their bullets were bouncing off off his golden bubble-shield. Their magic wasn't strong enough to even dent his defenses, so he could afford to just idly watch the pyromancer in all of his muscular glory.

"Grrrrr... YOU TALK TOO MUCH!!" A beastly, rough voice spoke from Homura as he delivered an explosive punch into another pirate, literally sending them meters flying through the air and into the shore with a painful splash.

It was then one pirate finally got a jump on Homura-- or rather Asura in this state. With a sword, he was up in the air above him, about to bring down a sword to cut the possessed fire mage in half. However, in that instant, catching the mage in the corner of his eye-- Homura's surroundings burst into flames! The eruption was sudden, like a bomb going off that just had him vanish in flames, and taking the pirate with him. However, as soon as the flames died-- the flames coalesced and gathered-- causing Homura in his half-naked, tattooed appearance to reappear, like a demon.

" The guy is freaking MADE OF FIRE!!!" a pirate cried, right before Homura/Asura kicked off and charged right for him, delivering a punch with one of his multiple arms!

The longer to go on, the less Homura was around in his actions. Homura was somewhat cool under pressure and never allowed himself to get worked up in a fight. Here-- there was no trace of it. It was almost pleasured thrill of the destruction as he tore off one of the pirate's limbs now dead from impact and shock.

He pretty much just ignored what Arthur said. he didn't care-- and Asura was now more on the control side of things as he now went to town massacring the pirates. The maddening grin on his face would tell Arthur this man was not Homura.

You idiot! Stop. We were gonna subdue them not massacre them?! Homura's voice screamed, now the one pushed aside in the man's psyche.

"HAHAHA! Sorry-- can't here you with all the screaming and explosions! BAHAHAHAA!!" he bellowed, releasing a surprising 'breath attack' of black flames out upon a fleeing pirate who was trying to run for his life-- and couldn't run fast enough as the flames consumed him...
