Ah, the thrills of urban night life! Well, not really since Era was anything but, though the event surely wasn't putting that observation to bed. The party of Rune Knights, headed by the ever cute and smart Exceed twins in human form, would make their way across the way and make a sharp left turn by the bakery. Both girls would be pressed in their usual relaxed garb, deciding to save the majority of the better outfits for another occasion. The music pumping out from the event site was loud enough that they likely could make out the lyrics the moment their feet left the sanctuary of the Rune Knights headquarters. "Man, it sure is hot out here, huh?" Grappa commented while walking in tandem with her sister and their (not really) underlings. Despite how strict and formal the two gave off when doing important things, they were generally laid back when it came to others outside the Engineering Department. Jellisha spun around to the others behind her while walking backwards to keep up the pace with her peppy sibling. "So when we get there, just do whatever you want. It's time off, so have fun. Just don't do anything that might embarrass the guild or anything. We'll be investigating the food table for signs of poisoning if you need us."
BONK!
Jellisha spun around just in time to walk headfirst into one of the lampposts in the city. She grabbed the place where the impact had happened and would spin around out of embarrassment while Grappa could only snicker to herself out of her sister's actions. While trying to be the more serious of the two, she still had a long ways to go before the whole "bad ass female leader" trope could stick to her. The red faced co-leader of the group would mutter to herself and let the people behind her to themselves. By the time they reached the staging area, that being one of the outside venues that doubled as a stage for plays and such. The bright lights and with the usual expressions of awe and excitement whenever it came time for another festival. Even Jellisha's typical stoic gaze had decided to take the day off while her eyes bounced across all the different activities there were to be at this location. "Alright, guys! Spread out and have some fun!"
With the others dispersing or going against what they said, Grappa and Jellisha found themselves going over towards the staging area of beverages and food. Their small feet pitter pattered over towards the table and got on towards sampling some of the small little dishes left out for guests to snack on them. There were little dips and chips, those weird chocolate things that came filled with a bunch of disgusting flavors outside of caramel, and even a hamburger bar (though fish was sadly not on the menu, much to their dismay). "Oh, Jelli! Do you think that they have super cute places to get more sweets at? This table really sucks..." Grappa wiped her mouth of the last of the stuffed chocolate treats onto her wrist and made a disgusted expression. Mint was awful! Only villains and evildoers liked mint. Her sibling peered up from her exploration into the fountain to then quickly rejoin Grappa's side.
"Bleh, nothing here." she crossed her arms in a huff. "I did see a bunch of drinks over that way though. Let's go see if they're any good." Jellisha led the way with Grappa peddling down beside her while investigating the strange drinks lined up in a fancy pyramid shape near the far end of the bar. A quick sniff didn't detect much of anything harmful in them just yet. A bartender came round with a friendly smile, beckoning towards both girls. "Evening, Generals. Might we offer you a very special drink for the night?" Both girls would nod their head in agreement to the question, affirming with a solid, "Yes, please." The man behind the counter had a glint of mischief in his eyes, turning around to whip around a cocktail of drinks and ingredients to hand over to both girls.
