Holder Equipment: Chevalier De Fleur Description: There are people who are known as prodigies, those who are extremely talented in their respective fields. Francois is one of them, a prodigy who excels in magic and swordsmanship. As a child, he was always eager to know more about magic and very interested in the magic of others. He grew up to engineer his own magic, aptly named Chivalrous Magic, as he has blended his style of magic with his skill as a swordsman.
Chivalrous Magic's primary purpose is to get close to an enemy quickly before they have time to react and/or do anything, giving them the sole option of running away. He has deduced that most mages aren't physically adept in close combat and has relied mostly in magic, giving him the impression that people nowadays have become inept. It is also through this magic that he upholds the law as a knight.
Most of the spells in this magic requires his weapon, an ornate rapier, as they serve as mediums for his spells. Otherwise, he is only limited to a set of spells that he can cast with his hand. Unlike other magics, Chivalrous Magic needs no arcane sigils or magic circles, giving the impression that he is merely a skilled swashbuckler.
Unique Abilities:
- Bladeworks Stance
Before heading into the fray, Francois enters a stance which he learned when he was training as a swashbuckler, namely the Bladeworks Stance. The stance allows him to be able to execute moves that are not fueled by spells, and it serves to prepare him in the coming battle. During this stance, he is able to execute the following moves, which he can do only once per post: • Corps-à-corps - Move swiftly towards his intended target within his burst range (30 meters) with a speed of 30 meters per second, which can be followed by an attack or a melee ranged spell. • Displacement - Disengage from the enemy, potentially dodging attacks and engaging in ranged combat, by performing a back flip. He can move as far away as his burst range (30 meters) with a speed of 30 meters per second.
- Advanced Spells:
Name: Balestra Rank: C+ MP Cost: 45 MP Category: Auxiliary Type: Single Target Range: Self Speed: Self Duration: 6 posts Description: Francois hops a few times in preparation for the endeavors that will follow. After a 3rd hop, he gains a massive increase in speed by 85%. He usually uses Corps-à-corps after casting the spell, though he can also use Balestra in other situations.

- Signature Spells:

Downside: The spell cannot be used without his holder equipment, Chevalier de Fleur, as the spell relies on the movement of the blade. Additionally, he must pay an additional MP cost equivalent to the spell he deflected, and only C-Rank spells or lower may be deflected. ❀ [What you have here for downside should actually just be a normal part of the spell's description. Downsides are a mechanic for when you sacrifice one part of a spell to increase another. For example, sacrificing an effect for a 25% increase to the base of a stat. More info on downsides can be found in the magic rules.]

Additionally, the blades remain for the duration which emits cold energies, reducing their speed by 55% while the spell is active. Francois may manipulate the rain of blades so it affects only certain areas within its radius and can dispel the spell anytime while it is active. ❀ [You're missing the "Damage:" portion of the template above along with the 30HP AOE value. Also, since it does damage, it can't be paired with the Auxiliary category, but that doesn't mean you can't keep your debuff. That's fine. :D] Downside: The spell affects just about anyone, including him.
Name: Allegro Rank: C Category: Auxiliary Type: Passive Description: Francois has trained himself as a swashbuckler in being faster than his opponents in terms of offensive combat maneuvers and spell mastery as well as his general dexterity, increasing his speed by 45%.
