It was Velvet's first morning as a part of Sabertooth, and it was a beautiful one. The sun was already shining and the warmth of the sun kissed the cat-girl's skin as the ocean breeze blew her hair back and stroked her neck. She took in a deep breath, a small sense of belonging finally finding its way into her heart, and by God's did that make the air feel all the better for it. Although it was her first day in her new environments and she could be forgiven for changing her routine, the dancer had instead opted to stay as regular as clockwork; she had woken up as soon as the sun had risen, discerned by the change of the winds outside of her open window. She had left her room and been fortunate enough to find some other early rises of whom she was able to talk to about her routine a little. She needed somewhere quiet, calm and secluded. They had recommended her this place; Lion Beach, a secret beach that belonged solely to the Sabertooth Guild. The directions were relatively simple in spite of the distance she'd had to walk, but this feeling made it all worthwhile.

She'd been simply standing here for some time now, feeling the time shift as the morning winds began to calm, creating that perfect balance between the sun's warmth and the cool ocean breeze. As soon as the climate hit that perfect mix, she began her routine in earnest. She kicked her sandals off and felt the soft, warm sand beneath her feet, between her toes. Her arms began to move up, her hands stretching out and welcoming the breeze, gently manipulating it between her fingertips and effortlessly rolling the breeze up her arms, across her torso and down her legs, her magic intertwining and dancing with it's natural counterpart and creating a blue-white magical aura around the Skydancer that took a life of it's own as she began her dance. She began with small movements with her hands and arms, slow and gentle, then began building the movements up more and more, introducing her legs and feet into the mix. All the while the breeze danced, flicking out like ribbons as she began to extend her movements and sharpen them, then snapping back to her as if an extension of her body. Indeed, she was now as much a part of the air around her as it was a part of her, and she pushed that further and further out from herself. Before long she could feel the waves that were a good ten to fifteen meters from her, she could feel the trees closer to the roads...and she could feel the movement of the sand as another pair of feet pushed through it.

She ignored it at first. She likely wasn't the only one exercising this early in the morning on this beach. It belonged to the guild afterall. But then she felt it happen again and again. The same length in the strides, the same pace, the same lack of air resistance which suggested the same clothing. The same person had passed by her as she'd been dancing several times. At first she considered perhaps it was a threat, as was usually her first concern in these situations - which thankfully had been few and far between. But then if it were a threat there would have been changes to the person's pace, to the lengths of their strides and, more importantly, to the pace of their breathing. Furthermore, this was a PRIVATE beach, which meant this runner was from the guild. So not a threat then. But definitely an interested party for one reason or another. The thoughts began to distract the Dragon Slayer now though, and she could feel her grip on the air around her beginning to slip, and she couldn't feel the trees or the ocean's waves anymore. After another moment or two she accepted defeat; so long as her thoughts were focused on whoever this mystery runner was, she wouldn't be able to reach out that far again. She finished her dance and turned her head ever so slightly as she heard the sound of sand crunching gently beneath the runner's feet once more.

"You've passed me five times now..." Velvet stated just loud enough for the runner to hear. It had come out slightly more hostile than intended mostly due to the caution and false confidence in her mind. Speaking from the mind rather than the mouth often resulted in emotions interfering with what she was trying to get out. She tried to reduce that hostility slightly as she continued. "...can I help you?"
