_____Melody still could not shake the odd dream she had, most times she simply blacked out after hearing a bell ring six times and woke when it rang in the morning but this time she fell asleep on her own terms. When she opened her eyes she was in the middle of some lake covered in dense fog, but looking down towards he reflection she did not see herself but some sort of fox girl that looked similar to her. Sadly she knew it was not her as her entire life she was just a normal human mage.

_____Then just like that she would blink and the morning light was in her eyes from the transparent current of her room. Frame rolled over, from back to stomach as head flipped from face the wall to the little nightstand where she kept her Ilac to see the time when she woke or be close to stop the alarm if she overslept like she did most nights. Even though sometimes she felt that whatever sleep she got was not nearly enough as by mid day she was always struggling to keep her eyes open and needed caffeine to finish the day.

_____She did not notice it herself, but as she looked at the device to figure out the time she pushed herself upward, back forming an arc with her arms and legs before she leaned forward, then leaned backwards like one might see a cat do when first waking up or that of a dog. Moving to sit down on her bed as she reached upward with her arms and streathed a bit more before the sudden light sound of a 'tump' came from behind her sned the girl bolting to her feet and stumbling away from her bed.

"Wow ... wo... ah.. eeep!"

_____Feet catching on something as she lost her balence and began to teeter around her room before falling over into a pile of cloths she forgot to clean up the night prior after she got home from HQ. While the reminder she did not clean up the mess was painful, her fall was less so because of it so she felt some relief. Although the way she had fallen was not normally uncomfortable she could not gather why it hurt to stay in such a way until she looked down at her legs and noticed something very wrong.

"AHHH!!! ... ow!"

_____Her sudden scream sounding far louder then she was expecting as it seemed to echo around the room and grow louder causing her to reach up to where she heard it from. What tossed her off more was the fact it was not the sides of her head, but atop it. Fumbling around in the pile of cloths for a moment as she struggled to her feet and rushed over to a mirror and her face was filled with dread and terror. One hand reaching to a tail that coiled up behind her, and the other to one of the two fox ears atop her head.

"This has got to be some sort of terrible dream or nightmare..."

_____Melody was still not in any mood to accept the terrifying reality she was stuck enduring. She was just a normal village girl, not a fox girl! She had done nothing she could recall to get on the bad grace of any divine beings out there, and if getting a tail and ears was her reward she wanted a refund! Nervously and hopefully closing her eyes shut and opening them with the deflated hope the features would vanish. Then more dread crawled up inside her as the alarm she set resounded startling the girl to fall over yet again.

_____The sharp peeping was going to have to be changed out if this truly was her fate to be a fox girl from here on. Sure she was not exactly that keen on accepting this fate as set in stone, but she was going to just have to deal with it until she found the cause and then the solution. Looking for one of her more faded and worn outfits, though all mostly new and well kept she needed a pair that she felt less bad about cutting and working around her new features.

_____Part of her was happy she did not have to go into HQ today, she had a job taking place on the edge of Era and hopefully she could avoid anyone who might know her along the way to prevent this from becoming a widely spread rumor about her. The terror she might get dismissed from the knights for not writing 'Kitsune' where she wrote 'human' as her race was another terror and hopefully one she could explain if she even knew where to begin.

_____She barely knew where to even begin in such a case as she measured the uniform and began cutting accordingly. Sure she could ask her superior to back her story up that this change was after she joined, but how well that might hold up was beyond her to be honest. There was also no way she could possibly think as a way to hide the features with her current tools and resources. Making the final touches as she got the odd uniform on and out of her sleepwear before looking herself over in the mirror once more.

_____The outfit was odd to say the least that was for sure, not to mention how embarrassing it was to be showing her stomach so much and some of her butt because of the tail issue. Sure she tried to hide it by keeping the shirt un-tucked but if the wind crossed her path and it was no doubt going to happen she would be left with that issue all over again. Moving to lock her room after exiting and heading out of the area to get where she needed to go before the job.

_____Before Melody could even consider giving her all at a job she had to be well rested and well fed, and currently she only finished one of those two task and food was next on the list. Sadly though she forgot to get groceries on her day off, so it was off to a diner along the way to the job to fill up her stomach. Sure it was costly but she had to splurge herself every so often right?~
