Adalinda takes a deep breath as she looks at herself in a mirror. She was wearing a dress, and had a mask in her hand. She wouldn't have worn the dress if she hadn't been threatened by Ruvel to wear it. She felt insanely uncomfortable and just wanted in her pants again... She could have been dressed nicely with her suit on, but this was a masquerade ball, and she needed to look nicer for it, even if it was semi formal. With the help of Tamaria, and surprisingly a little bit of Veles' help, Adalinda was able to actually get the majority of this ball set up for her fellow guild members. She could barely believe she even was able to do this at all. The black haired girl walks into the event hall as best she can in the heels, despite them being low, and takes a deep breath. Tamaria was in her neko form, sporting a similar looking dress to Adalindas. Her mask was also similar to Ada's, and she was already wearing it.
Ada takes a deep breath as Tammy went ahead and was observing what was on the tables. "Everything's looking great, Ada! I'm glad you took my suggestions and got inspired by a few of them!" The exceed giggles as she clapped her hands a little. 'Should tell the cat that I came up with half the stuff here really...' Veles snickers as Adalinda rolls her eyes. 'Should get that mask on now. It's about to start in a bit. Don't want to be unprepared when it is time.' Sometimes that dragon could be helpful. With a deep breath, she crouches down enough to let Tammy be able to tie the mask, that she had been carrying around, to the back of her head. Her ice blue eyes looked up around the building. The banners with West Fiore Trading Companies logo on them was neatly hanging up above in the middle of the room as the band was getting ready to start playing at one end of the hall. She stands up as music begins playing. There was no way she could have done this all on her own... or would it even look near as beautiful.
She looked over as the chef was coming out with a cart of more food, and quickly went over to him. "Chef Benvolio, let me help you." She says, giving him a smile. She was glad she made sure that at least wine and champagne was provided so she could have some alcohol during this party, or else she felt she wouldn't be able to be professional during this party. She helped him place the winter themed food on the buffet table, and carefully helps with getting the cake on the table designated for it. "Thank you, Mrs Ortinbras. And if I do say so myself, you look wonderful. Your husband must feel like he won a million bucks with you dressed like so. Maybe try dressing like so more often." Adalinda's face flushed a deep red under her mask as she gave him a nervous smile, shrugging her left shoulder slightly. She wasn't yet married to Yuudai, but they were working on that bit slowly. Another member came over asking for her assistance with setting the chairs up, and she is quickly able to excuse herself from Chef Benvolio to help them.
By the time the chairs were all set up, and the lighting was just right, she made her way to the doors. Tamaria was already there, and excitedly waiting for the members to be allowed in. Behind the girls, at the far wall, was the band, and along the left walls were he tables of food with the opposite side being seatings. Various other members were also going to be performing for everyone up where the band was playing to allow them breaks, and a sense of variety. Adalinda glanced over to someone who was checking the time, and raised an eyebrow to them when they looked to her. They nodded, and Adalinda smiles softly. It was time to show everyone hers and Tamaria's hard work. Boy, did she hope they did well. Clearing her throat, the masked dragon slayer nods to the guys at the door. "Open the doors... please? It's time to let the ball begin!" She got a bit caught up saying that little line, throwing her arms out excitedly as she did so. The band had also struck a higher note just as she did so, making her feel self conscious with her actions as she glanced back at them. She was also hoping no others would make comments on her wearing a dress, if they seemed to notice it was her at least.
