Name: Tao
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Birthday: 28/11/ x872
Sexuality: Pansexual
Special Characteristics: He has a gem that changes color in his forehead and some typical Dongxia-style art of a demon in pale blue-green on his left arm.
Personality: Like most people who hail from Dongxia, Tao is a pragmatic young man, but is also stubborn, egotistical, aloof, and foul-tempered. Tao generally lacks the congenial and excessive politeness that most Dongxians display to outsiders in favour of skipping straight to the patronizing superiority. He's perfectly capable of being polite when he needs to be but avoids it if he sees no way it can serve him. He only utilizes decorum for first meetings until he can get a read on a person. In that way, he can be charming, but it rarely lasts.
Another Dongxian trait Tao possesses is being an extrovert, yet displaying shyness when around new people. That's not to say he turns into a blushing mess, but rather that he'll keep his distance and remain quiet until he's assessed the new person enough to have something to say.
Though reserved, he doesn't hesitate to act when he needs to, though he can be quite moody about it. He can be moody about anything. One thing he may have acted on last time he may pass on the next, all depending on how he feels at the current moment. This leads to unpredictability, though this trait is less dominant when concerning those he trusts. He isn't loyal to many, but those who enjoy that right will find him dependable indeed, though he's not above teasing that he won't help just to wind them up.
Tao takes pride in himself, even though he's far from what he wants to be in life. He's well educated, though most of his schooling was done at home alone by his mother in an effort to protect him. This pride is his shield against the ridicule he's received his whole life, and an affront to it is met with unmovable stubbornness and immediate hostility. Now that his mother is no longer around, he's his own encouragement, as well as completely free of Dongxia's strings. He may be proud to come from there, but he's not very fond of the place and will likely never return if he has his way.

Likes:
- Herbs - The normal and mystical kinds. He makes both medicines and teas with them.
- Money - It's the most obvious measure of success.
- Mandarins - His favourite fruit to eat. He can hardly go a day without his favourite flavour.
Dislikes:
- Prejudice - He's endured being looked down on long enough.
- Quiet - Silence and peace are for the complacent. Moving forward is noisy.
- Boredom - He gets bored easily and prefers to always be occupied with an activity, no matter what kind.
Motivations:
- Becoming a full demon - Being a half-blood has ostracized him from both sides of himself. He wishes to become strong like his father.
- Finding his father - He was very young when his father left the wilds of Dongxia. He'd very much like to find him and ask how to become a full demon.
- Finding the perfect herb - Tea as a hobby requires experimentation with many herbs. He aims to create the perfect blend from the purist and rarest leaves.
Fears:
- Never Having a Place - Right now he feels caught between two worlds that reject him, so spending his whole life that way seems worse than death.
- Horses - The animals are too large and unpredictable. He much prefers automobiles.
- Mediocracy - He was raised to be ambitious and not rest until he was the best at everything so he'd bow to no one. Anything less is an utter failure.
