Re: Queen of the Pirates
Trustworthy friends were hard to come by in this day and age, especially for the young Demoness, it was as if she wore a repellant of sorts disabling her from getting close with anybody. In actuality the latter didn't mind not having a boatload of friends as she was doing quite well on her own. However out in the wild can only benefit you for so long, that's where Nirvana, Artemis' best friend comes into the picture. The elder woman lived within the confines of the supremely built Ace of Spades. Nirvana used to be a deadly assassin back in the girl's old days of Basilisk Fang getting contract after contract gaining hundreds of bodies under her belt, it was a wonder how she had found refuge within the mighty walls of that place. Still the woman had requested that the demon visit her as it had been some time.
Upon reading Nirvana's letter a small smile crept onto Artemis' lips, the warmth let her set off on her journey leaving Rakshasa's beautiful compound for the town east of their location. Wading deeper into the jungles veranda Artemis took some time to take note of the wondrous views that encompassed the jungle. It was in this place where she had met the man who would open his arms into the primal guild of Rakshasa, in reality she had no intention of staying there they weren't nothing like Famine, nothing like Sol and certainly nothing like Nirvana. It was a shock she had lasted even a week in the place but still there was definitely something holding her there, sooner or later she'd find out what exactly that was.
"So child, how're you finding this world?" An all too familiar voice perked up seemingly out of nowhere, the voice held a motherly tone to it as if warming Artemis. The woman crossed her arms and sighed moving in and out of the forgotten area. "Why do you always speak as if I'm not from here? Nonetheless, It's alright nothing too crazy but I still need to find out what happened at Mount Hakobe" She muttered in reply to Mammon who manifested herself as a chibi floating beside Arty. At first the constant voice of Mammon was slowly turning Arty into a schizophrenic, she was at a loss and begun to think she was possessed by something. Of course until the voice alerted her as the woman who gave her the gifts she had grown to love, this came at a surprise to the young demoness however she knew better than to disregard the voice in her head.
"Nirvana has requested an audience, we'll be at the Ace of Spades shortly. During which time I'd appreciate it if you'd be quiet for the remainder of this journey" Artemis growled slightly, her reddened eyes glowing at the chibi Mammon whom sheepishly dissipated from the area. That's more like it. With her conversation cut short Arty breathed in and metally envisioned the dusty dunes that surrounded the Ace of Spades having never been there herself only to the outskirts, in an instant her amber hellfire surrounded her entire being in a tornado of flames leaving nothing but burned footprints.
Seconds passed and that same fiery tornado was whipped up in the desert heat rising and rising before leaving the woman standing atop a sandy hill. Artemis raised her hand over her eyes to better her vision, in the distance stood the amazing impenetrable fortress that was the Ace of Spades. The woman had done her research on the place, at one hundred meters tall, Ace of Spades' Outer Wall is the city's first, and thickest, line of defense. This makes it the largest man-made structure in the world. The wall encircles all of the Ace of Spades, along with the vast agricultural Zone and a medium-sized lake. It is considered indestructible and is commonly incorporated on maps as a terrain feature. Safe to say that the security would be more than tight if one was to try and take over such a place.
Just as the latter was about to set off for her friend her ears pricked up slightly, the change in atmosphere was easily detectable to Artemis. Turning around she noticed the incoming source of the change, a sandstorm. "You've got to be kidding me" She grunted and sped off in the direction of the large capitol. However, for some odd reason it seemed that she wasn't going anywhere, the capital seemed much farther away than what it was before. Another quick look behind her made her body seize slightly, the sandstorm had gained lengthy distance on the woman, so she had to make a choice. Fight through the sandstorm or run.
Artemis waded through the thick sand dunes with some trouble not entirely sure where she was going but was going nevertheless, sounds of whipping winds alerted her to the drama that was about to set in. "There child! A hundred or so meters ahead. RUN!" Mammon's motherly tone had a tinge of urgency to it hoping her 'daughter' would be able to run in enough to time to escape the tremendous power that was coming. Taking heed of Mammon's words Artemis sped up her pace blindly dashing to the opening that Mammon was talking about, touching the cobbled steps she opened her eyes noticing the wet floor and rocky interior of where she was. "What is this place...Mammon where am I?" Arty sighed in annoyance, using her right hand she lit it with her flames illuminating the darkness that was creeping in. "Never mind, just...just watch my six" Arty kissed her teeth walking deeper and deeper into the cavern ignoring the harsh storm outside.
