Another sweet escapade | Equinox Event

Amalie's slender fingers pressed down along the fabric of the black dress she was wearing. It was a little more girlish than she normally went for, however she wasn't exactly sure how she was supposed to dress for this one. She'd seen people in various costumes throughout the day and whilst she had somethings that might fit the theme, they weren't exactly appropriate. So she had gone to the store and picked up this little outfit, it was kind of like a dark fairy/witch sort of outfit. Which she fingers would work, she reached down, adjusting her knee high socks and straightening them up, before admiring her appearance in the mirror. The dress stopped just just as the midpoint of her thighs, revealing a little area of skin before the rest of her legs were covered by the sock and little black ballet shoes. The top was cut fairly low and slightly off the shoulder, with one arm sporting a long glove and the other a short one. It kind of reminded her of her uniform.

At present she was getting ready in Johann's room at the moment, having already invited him to the festivities. She had gotten a little more comfortable there, "It's a little young for me, but I think it's alright," She called to Johann, reaching up to fix her hair with was half-down, with twin tails on either side. "Are you nearly ready?" She called to her lover, eager to get to the event. Hopefully this time, their date would go smoothly without any monstrous disturbances.

Amalie glanced over at his complaint, a playful smile on her lips as her eyes drank in the sight of him. Now, this was a look she liked. She turned on her heel and sauntered over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist, "And you look..." She tiptoed slightly, bringing her lips to his to kiss him affectionately, she would sink into the kiss, forgetting for a moment that they actually had plans. After a moment, she would pull away, looking up at him hungrily. "Tempting." She said huskily, forcing herself to pull away before she gave in to the urge to skip the festivities altogether.

"Sure let's head out." She chimed, before making her way out of his room. Soon the couple would arrive at the Festival, which was just as lively and vibrant as the last one they attended. Amalie felt only slightly on edge, conscious of the possibility that any minute now a monster could burst forth and ruin her date with Johann. But for the initial part, there was no sign of trouble so far. As her ice blue eyes scanned the area, the scent of food caught her attention. It was a pleasant aroma, subtle, slightly spicy. She turned her head to look over to it, it seemed to be a collection of cooking stations. As she read the sign over the top, her eyes widened slightly, she turned to Johann her normally calm eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Shall we partake?" She asked him eagerly, inching slightly in the direction of the cooking contest.

Amalie's eyes narrowed at Johanns teasing, his words she smirked back at him, always keen to give it back whenever he dished it out. "Is it so hard to believe that I have interests that stem outside of being an incredibly efficient commander and fantastic lover?" She teased back, offering him a playful wink. Regardless, she was pleased that he agreed to give it a go. Cooking was actually something she really enjoyed, it was kind of therapeutic, and the possibilities you could explore were vast. Some time ago, distracting herself with cooking and baking was necessary a few years ago, as a result, she'd grown to enjoy it. Turning on her heel she strode towards the contest stand, eagerly signing herself up for it.

After signs ups were complete, the participants were guided to their cooking stations. Amalie grabbed herself an apron, eying it for a moment, before wrapping it around herself. It was strange, she hadn't worn an apron for so long. There was a time when it was a regular accessory for her, but these days she rarely got the chance. Cooking for herself was simple enough that she didn't require it. She moved behind her cooking station, eying her competitors, there was, of course, Johann and then another woman. She was quite primped and primed, kind of like a forty-year-old soccer mom type.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our annual Final Harvest Cooking Contest! For this round we have three competitors, as we go round, please introduce yourself to our audience." Amalie raised her brow at the audience, it wasn't much more than a gaggle of onlookers, but still, she guessed she would play along. As the microphone, she was brought by, and she would introduce herself quite simply as 'Amalie', choosing not to elaborate further. She would learn from this that her unknown competitor was 'Sharon' and that she really liked the spotlight based on the zealous introduction of herself. Following the introductions, a giant cart was wheeled onto the stage, with a mound covered by a sheet. "Alright! So for this round, we want something savory! Here are your ingredients, feel free to take whatever you like. You have exactly one hour on the clock! Are you ready?" Amalie glanced over at the others, looking at Johann she smirked blowing him a competitive kiss.

"Ready... steady...COOK!" A bell rang above them, and the sheet was lifted off over the cart, revealing a vast range of ingredients. Amalie moved around her cooking station, although she had to sidestep as Sharon nearly bowled her over rushing past. Amalie scowled at her, before continuing forward, she eyed the cart for a moment trying to decide on an impressive 'savory' dish. There was one dish she could think of, Wyatt didn't like it on the basis that it was too 'foreign'. But often Amalie would make it for herself and the other wives and it had gone down a treat. Something different. Not wasting any more time on a decision, she would scan the table for the necessary ingredients, grabbing one of the baskets attached to the side of the cart, she filled it up. Once she was satisfied with what she had, she spun back to the cooking station. Figuring out the steps in her head, she got to work quickly. Like muscle memory, it all came back to her quite quickly, the time flew based and she chopped, diced and sizzled her way through the air. And so before she knew it...

DING DING DING!

Amalie placed the final garnish on her dish and stepped back, admiring her work. She was hot, admittedly a little flushed, that had been quite exhilarating considering they were just cooking. "Please bring your dishes to the front to be judged." The cart was wheeled away at this point, having being wheeled away and replaced with a table where the judges were now sitting. "One by one, please state what you've made." As the microphone came around, of course, Sharon would step up first, practically singing about her 'famous' 12 cheese dip. As the microphone came to Amalie, she cleared her throat a little awkwardly. The crowd was bigger now, it seemed the results were more interesting to watch than the cooking itself. "Um... I've made a red curry, with plain rice and a side of spring rolls." She commented before moving away from the microphone, there was a curious hum. Before the host moved over to Johann, Amalie glanced over curious to see what he'd made.

Amalie eyed Johanns plate, biting her lip a little. She had to admit, it looked really good, she wanted to grab a fork and try a bit. But alas, it wasn't her to try. The judges would go about tasting each dish, reacting positively to all of them. The discussion that followed was a heated one, it seemed they were bickering about the dishes and which one to choose. To Sharon's disdain, they weren't talking about hers, but Johanns and Amalies. Finally, they would settle on a score, it was close, but it seemed Johann's schnitzel was declared the best dish. Amalie crossed her arms over her chest, admittedly a little dejected that she didn't win. Cooking was something she prided herself on, maybe she went too flamboyant. Either way, second place wasn't nearly as satisfying as she expected it to be. Still, she took her participation trophy and moved away from the contest, still a little pouty. She glanced over at Johann, "Guess the better chef won," She sighed before moving away, arms crossed over her chest.

As she made her way along, arms crossed over her chest, she glanced around in search for something else to do. Something that wouldn't bruise her ego. As her ice-blue gaze spotted the maze, she turned to Johann. "Want to explore the maze a little?" She would ask, she'd never done a maze before, she was somewhat curious to see how difficult they actually were.
